Today Dec 10 1946 a wave of pro-Portugal protests have erupted across Brazil. The protests are claimed by some as instigation sparked up by Portuguese agents(it actually is) to gain their most beloved colony back. The Brazilian authorities decided to use force, and soon the country erupted into civil war. Portugal has announced support for the pro-Portuguese rebels, and calls on Spain, and Britain to help Portugal in feature endeavors in South America.

Proclamation of the Republic of Zaire


Joseph-Désiré Mobutu has restructured the government of the Second Congolese Republic, the nation is now known as the Republic of Zaire and Léopoldville is renamed to Kinshasa. Mobutu has renamed himself Mobutu Sese Seko and declared himself president-for-life in a new single-party state run by the MPR, Mobutu claims that this is only temporary until the threat passes. The military and the RAC are renamed to the Zairean National Army (ANZ, Armée Nationale Zaïroise) and the United Army of Zaire (RAZ, Royaume-armée du Zaïre). The Bakongo Patriotic Union is labeled a terrorist organization and ABAKO is banned as a result. Members of the MNC are allowed to stay as opposition. The current conflict in Zaire is now known as the Zairean Internal Conflict. A request is sent to the Union of Democracies to allow Zaire membership in the place of Denmark.
