The federation government is applying as a limited member on a provisional basis. Although the Campbell Nation supports the notion of collective security with its allies, and indeed many of our comrades from the socialist alliance appear to have also joined here, we are skeptical of joining such an open organization. In particular, we hesitate to pledge unconditional support that might be abused by capitalist and imperialist causes. The federation government has no desire risk the lives of our citizens to defend capitalism (barring a much worse adversary). As such, we are opting to "dip our big toe in the water" so to speak, allowing us to choose which causes to aid until this organization has established itself more firmly.

I mean if your army was an army of peasant workers and farmers with soviet-era tech and moderate training, then i would accept about 80 million.

According to CSP logic, you are only allowed to have a maximum of 2.5% of your population in the military witout facing severe economic decline.
2.5% of your poulation, is 75,000,000. It would be pyhsically impossible to field an army of 400,000,000+ in these modern times.

So...
