South American governments set up defences all along the coast and in Panama.
Volkstrad provides bomb making materials and other such things and begin to prepare for a long insurgency, even after they are defeated.

The USP tests their own rocket design, but it has serious shortcomings. Mistakes are used to help improve the design, although it'll be a long time before a nuclear ballistic missile could be potentially built.

The Unije II is launched and successfully breaks into orbit. It cannot be retrieved as no system has yet been developed. Still, it's progress. It takes pictures of Earth from space and video footage of the launch is recorded. Both are released to the world for propaganda. Newspapers all over Volkstrad will begin to report the story.

Another rocket to test if life can survive in space will be sent up in a bit.

Romuva, who was unsure if the first launch really was some sort of rocket or a malfunction in their early radar system, would like to start a joint space program with Volkstrad. This would bring in extra funding from us if you were to accept, so it's a win-win.
