Hardass was half out of his seat, one arm plunged deep into his suit and the other batting away the outstretched limbs of his bodyguards. Releasing his grip on the ivory handle of his revolver, and stood and marched over to where Aleksander lay despite the protests of his security.

"God dammit. Say what you will about that crazy psychopath, at the very least he went out kicking. How bad is it? Can you get up man?"

The medical teams rushed to their president's side and hurried to clean and patch his wound. Hearing the voices of his allies, old and new, gave him an extra boost of courage through the ordeal that comes with being shot. "It's just a flesh-wound!" said one of the medics to VP Hardass.
"I'll finish the meeting after I get some ibuprofen in my system." said Aleksander being helped up by his soldiers. A bloody mess it was to clean up but in a few moments the place was looking like it had before the shooting, only the memories and security cameras remember what happened.

After several minutes Aleksander stepped back in with an extra security and a blood drip, and sat down slowly. He obviously had an ache in his shoulder even on the medication. "Now then, shall we move on?" he said triumphantly.

Death Toll

Postby Scotatrova » Tue Feb 17, 2015 12:37 am

Wide Range Broadcast
"Several weeks into the spread of the Reaper Plague, an estimated 418 million Scotatrovians are dead with 262 million of them being the undead. 382,583,930 people are reported to still be alive while communications have been lost from over 42 cities in Scotatrova. The government is supposed to be working with the Tarazedians to help evacuate more citizens and thanks to the help of Tulan ships, 13 million people were saved from the mainland. A moment of silence for all of those who have lost their lives not just in Scotatrova, but worldwide."

Off the Coast of Liapple

The growing flotilla of barebone, stripped to the essential components ships lay atop the waves not too far off shore, some of the vessels were without anchors and so they were slowly being pulled out to sea by the powerful currents. The decks of these anchor less ships were now covered with people and whatever they could get on board, the navy was running aerial supply convoys to the ships and several, decks were home to a few Tarazedian aircraft.

Corpses of the dead littered the water in large clusters, the blood had turned the shoreline a light Crimson as the burned, mutilated and bloated bodies of the infected were carried out to sea. The yard itself was a line of red, no patch of yellow sand could be visible. What hadn't been scorched by the chlorinetrifluoride bombs was stained a very dark red and the blackened - ash like remains of the dead cluttered the beach.

The Tulian message was received by an Aurora transport which had landed aboard the TCV This Way Up to deliver medical supplies and evacuate those who could not be treated. The tanker's upper decks were packed with military tents as officers guided a nearby task force to their location.

To: Tulian Task Force

Thank you for arriving, we need urgent help transporting civilians off of the vessels without an anchor before they're swept out to sea. We would appreciate any aerial assistance you can offer to aid us in this task.
WARNING: Be warned. They're under the water. Ensure that your deployed anchors are watched at all times by an armed guard. We've had one too many incidents already...

A Stand in Southeast Asia begins slowly

The Ruins of Kabaong

Chancellor Gumabay stared at her coffee as she depicted what it was like to live in the old city where she grew up in. There were many buildings and although they were taller, so much taller now, when she was younger, they seemed so new. She had wanted to be alone when she issued an order to Mayor Pagtalunan of Kabaong, that the entire city evacuate. There was no more guarantees against the infection. There was only the smell of death that had come rotting towards the city. On the news, it had been horrifying. In her office back in Dakila, it had been somehow worse. Perhaps it was the helplessness of it all. The slow crumbling of her youth as death slowly took down the few barriers that she thought she could hold against the onslaught. The mayor had argued against her, of course. He was like her. It was his city as well and although they rarely got along with each other, on this matter, she was able to convince the mayor once and for all, that the city that had brought up both of them, was over. The people had needed to leave, the buildings were doomed.
It had been months, since that order, and already incredibly invasive plants began to wind themselves upwards in the skyscrapers to heights never thought imaginable. There was no living thing in the city. Everyone escaped...or didn't. It was the largest evacuation ever conducted in Tagalog Kingdom history.
"Mrs. Chancellor," a voice from next to her spoke. She wasn't startled when she saw the Health Minister next to her.
"We are going to move to southwards further into Indonesia. It will be our first counter-offensive in weeks. Kabaong is within two day's journey from our army."
These days, the Health Minister was just as involved in the military as the Defense Minister.
"Since when did we start calling it a counter-offensive, they're technically not people, so they're not technically a fighting force. They can't hold offensives and we can't conduct counter-offensives," said the Chancellor half-caring for the answer. She mostly used this question as an excuse to stay in her seat for a few more seconds of no decisions. No more responsibility, no more consequences.
"Since they got up from the ground and attacked the citizens."
"Very well."
The Health Minister didn't ask questions. He, too, was worn down by the constant barrage of briefings and too few good news. This would the first stand for a few months. The last one, had ended with yet another of Indonesia being pulled down into the infected.

"Well then, I do say this since no one else deems support a necessity I can spare fighters and bombers for a co-ordinated campaign against the hordes in China but other than that my hands are tied as my fleet is being armed and prepared to help retake Evenhall. Does anyone else need support or would like to step up and offer it.?" Aleksander spoke.

A New Dawn to A New Age

"Hardly read you comm.... numerous infected...can't hol...uch longer. Evac requested. Will designate wi..GP...signal......."

"Copy ground team evacuation underway..........."

Undisclosed Location
A man was sat in a chair behind a desk in a dark room with a camera facing the desk rolling. There was a chair on the other side of the desk indicating this was most likely going to be an interrogation.
An obvious one way mirror to top it all off.
The door opened from behind him and in stepped a black suit with shades and a briefcase in hand, he walked around the desk with no disturbance and sat down in the chair across from the young man.
"Private First Class L. Taylor. If I am correct you were on the recent survey mission into whats left of where Zagreb used to be. You went in with a team of seven others and encountered more undead than previously expected to have remained in the area. Your mission was to go in and collect as much data about the ever so quickly evolving undead and retrieve samples of the virus affected by radioactive chemicals. Right?" He said all at once with a resting unwarranted face.
"Yes sir, all of that information is correct." said Taylor nervously.
The man popped open the suitcase revealing a typewriter and then pulled out a small recording device and clicked the record button. This followed by a small red light turning on and a minute beep to announce that it was recording.
"You are to tell me your entire field report and I'll do the paperwork right here in front of you. I want to know what you saw and heard and smelled through the mask and felt in the ashes of the historic city mission. Am I clear?"
"Crystal, Sir. Shall I begin, Sir?" he said uneasily with a sweat drip running down his brow.
The man rolled his wrist around making his hand move into a rolling motion as if it were a wheel.
"Right. Well..let's start from the beggining of the mission. Me and my comrades are all MP's as you probably know. We weren't exactly trained for the mission description. But we all got selected out of our battalion to complete. As you also know. At the start everything went fine we had our bulking camo hazmat suits and heavy gas-masks they gave us. Our favourite part was the large rifles and sharp bayonets. We also got all of the interesting equipment we never used before. GPS equipment, Grenades that did things I didn't think were possible. All of that on top of the stress of completing our mission. When we first landed we encountered very few undead all standard like we'd encountered before and seen on TV. Hulking messes of corpse and it was easy to dispatch of them with the bayonets and heavy trench batons. Their flesh is weak and oozy like warm cheese. Its easy to get to the skull. We collected samples and took pictures too. We moved around using our geiger counters to avoid super radiated zones. Infected crawled out of these zones commonly we were able to avoid most of them. Around this time is when we encountered trouble. A new kind of infected we'd never seen before came dashing out of a collapsed building. It came running at us, we freaked you know. We opened fire. Our mistake. It only attracted more of the 'Runners' we called them. They had longer fingers with sharper nails. We were horrified to see them. We eliminated all of the ones that had arrived but not before they got two of us. It was morbid, they tore through the hazmat suits, the kevlar...the skin. We moved on after putting down the two fallen. Things went downhill from there. We encounter one more variation of infected, this one was what compromised the mission.
It was a monster....a hulking beast at least two feet taller than any man I ever saw. It tore right through us. We brought it down because of its large head. But we were scared us. We lost three more men to this monster. Our idea was that the radiation had did something but we couldn't think of any thing else. We snapped a few pictures, put down our dead, and carried on.
We were soon swarmed by infected because of the gunfire. There were three of us. We ran through the destroyed city. I called for back up...but there were too many. I requested evac shortly afterwards and sent off a GPS tracking signal from one of the devices and held my ground. My friend got grabbed as the helicopter was arriving. It was just me and another who got away. That's all I have to report sir. Nothing further" Taylor finished. Out of breathe and sweating waiting for a response after the typing stopped.

"Your assumptions were correct as far as we know. Depending on the radiation amount and what type of radiation our scientists think they mutate rapidly in random directions into unspeakable monsters. They aren't looking for a civilian based cure anymore they are looking for an extermination chemical to destroy the virus. Like chemo to cancer, only we can't use radiation this time. That is all private Taylor. Or should I say as of now Corporal Taylor." The man said while packing up and with the last remark a grin. He then left the room with Taylor.
