I'm 97% sure that no special forces in their right mind would ever field weapons with any kind of flashy finish like bronze or nickel.

If he wants to field weapons that are gold, silver, platinum, bronze, etc. then I suppose there is nothing in the rules saying he cannot... though I'll be sure to not be around them, the enemy has a bad habit of shooting gold insignias, I would hate to see what they'd fire at you for carrying a gold weapon XD

@Bronze: It's not metallic. In fact, it's very dull, and you can't tell the difference from far away, especially at night. A dull bronze finish signifies an experimental weapon undergoing evaluation for service.
@Silver: Mr. Smith doesn't usually participate in direct combat, but when he does, he usually uses his UMP45 more than his pistol.
