Ahzar is a rugged Islamic Country with Steep Mountains and burning Deserts, with calm lakes and a Touch People wary but polite to Foreigners. All that is about to change, and for the worse.
A group of suicidal Islamic Fanatics are rising up, wanting to overthrow the Government of Ahzar for corruption and not being faithful Muslims. Mainly the latter. They are calling themselves the IMFL, standing for the Islamic Movement for the Fatherland's Liberation, and are based in the Halhah Governate. The poorly trained and modestly equipped Government forces in the area of the Halhah Governate, many of whom are related to members of the IMFL and sympathize with their teachings, swerved to stomp out the Rebellion before it got a good foothold. It failed catastrophically. Morale was low at having to fight their relatives, and Desertion was rampant. IMFL seemed to have higher grade weapons then the Government Forces, which were probably supplied to them from other Terrorists or Countries that sympathize with them. After defeating Halhah Government forces and taking over 90% of Halhah Governate, including the Governate Capital, Gazzara, they are on the offensive, and Government forces are struggling to hold on to their remaining pieces of Gazzara. In addition to Halhah, they have taken 60% of Talbah Governate, and 40% of Rahzar Governate, as well as 30% of both Sulah and Farnah Governates, making them the largest and most powerful Rebels in the country. Second Place goes to the FAF, or the Free Ahzari Forces. They control 70% of Askar Governate, and 20% of Talun Governate, with both Governates being major Population centers. Finally, weakest of all is the RIA, or Rallawa Independence Army. They fight not for a new Government, but for the Independence of the large Governate of Rallawa, which has always had it's own Customs and Language. Government Forces are blocked from reaching them, as Rallawa is behind IMFL territory. So far they are rather weak, but are determined and willing to fight if they must.
However, the Government has declared it WILL fight back. Forces in the other 7 Governates, with there being 15 Governates in all, as well as forces in divided Governates, have Mobilized to fight back. After 3 weeks of Hard Fighting, they have managed to stabilize the warfront and halt the IMFL advance dead cold, creating a Stalemate. Drafting has begun. Advances have been made into FAF territory, though progress is slow. A truce has been signed with the RIA, so they can fight each other at a later date. No, 2 full months after the war began, all factions have sent out a cry for help. It is up to your nation to decide who wins this bloody and terrifying war.
