Bomb Detonates in Serenity Plaza [OPEN}

ATTENTION CITIZENS

"Terrorists Strike Serenity Plaza! Marshall Law Declared!"

Today Serenity Square was rocked by four explosions that killed 673 people and placed more than 2,000 on the injured list with about 240 on the critical list. This is the first act of terror in the Holy Empire in over 40 years. Two hours after the bombs in Serenity Plaza had been detonated three bombs went off across the city. The first struck the Media Tower, which housed the Imperial Information Ministry. The tower collapsed less than twenty minutes later adding to the death toll. The second bomb was detonated in the Temple of Veritas, killing all 455 people inside and wounding many onlookers outside. The youngest brother of the Holy Emperor, Prince Julius is presumed dead as he was inside the Temple at the time. The third and final bomb was detonated just outside the city's Imperial Guard Barracks, damaging the building and killing 359 people and wounding upwards of 500. The current death toll has reached upwards of 3,000 and members of the Imperial Defense Ministry say that is likely to rise as the bodies are pulled from the rubble. "Tonight is going to be a long night, not only for the nation and the city, but for those affected by this egregious attack on our people, our nation and our very way of life. My heart goes out to all my people," a statement that was released once the power had been restored to the Imperial Palace, by His Imperial Majesty, Holy Emperor Arcadius (II) of Great House Caelia.

The Holy Emperor was taken to an undisclosed location until the situation can be ascertained as to what threat, if any is posed to the remainder of the Imperial Household and the Government. Tribune Gaius Maccius has declared Marshall Law in Presidium Citadel, issuing a curfew at 6p.m. local time until 8a.m. tomorrow morning and this curfew will continue as such until Marshall Law is removed. Citizens are asked to please refrain from unncessary travel throughout the city. The Imperial Quarter, housing the Embassies of Glory Communist Norway, Greater Gaelicland, Greater Weselton, Pino Grand Fenwick, The Arx,Benjamin Mark, and Magnifex has been cordoned off and all staff not pertaining to the Imperial Government or to the Embassies will not be allowed into this section of the city until further notice. The Governments of all Embassies in the Holy Empire will be notified shortly of the attack. We expect security to be hightened at all Embassies and barricades will be temporarily erected outside all Embassies and Government Buildings by the Imperial Guard Forces within Presidium Citadel. Further more a travel restriction is now in affect for Presidium Citadel. All air, land and sea traffic in and out of the city is hereby prohibited until further notice. Unless on Government business no trains or aeroplanes will be coming into or leaving the city. All Civilian traffic will be directed to the other cities in the region. The Holy Emperor will give his response tomorrow evening when the casualty count is more settled. The Government has also decided to keep their suspected terror organization list our of the public's hands so as to avoid a panic or rioting. Thank you Citizens and please be safe.

I have good news to share with you my friend. None of my staff are missing or dead, I guess we choose the right location for our embassy. Right now we're tightening up secuirty and barracking all known entrances to our embassy to insure our safety. Normally I would tell you that our military's main objective is peacekeeping and that they will assist you in this dreadful time but sadly due too... several, predicaments back home we can't offer you much in terms of assists, hell I think we can't even help you at all. We'll notify you if anything new turns up.

Much appreciated Ambassador Abel. We are not in much need in the way of assistance at this time as these attacks seem to have targeted our public and our government rather than Foreign Dignitaries. As for your head count, we are grateful that none of your staff were in the areas that were attacked. We also extend an invitation for your Ambassador, though preferably a higher ranking government official to represent Naval Monte at the State Funeral for Prince Julius, the younger brother of the Holy Emperor. We will telegram your government though when a date has been set for the Funeral.

The majority of our staff including the ambassador, are shaken but not harmed. We will dispatch a Paramilitary Aid Corps division (PGFPAC) THE 23RD PHOENIX BATTALION. Our military forces (ranked #1 in our region) can assist you if you requre it, this is also the Chief Marshal's, Joint Chief of Staff Chairman Freidreich vaan Hoote order. The bad news are that several diplomatic staff (all belonging to the Greek Conservative Party/Nea Dimokratia and being core members of it) have been reported missing.

We are deeply saddened to hear that several of your diplomatic staff are having to be listed as missing. We would consider your military's aid appropriate at this time and when they arrive we could house them in the Barracks or they could stay on your Embassy's grounds. They would be used to bolster your security detail for the time being. As for the extra aid in the arena of intelligence, that is most welcome. We have narrowed down the group of possible suspects to several terrorist groups, a secessionist group and an anarchist group. Further updates will come.Thank you again for your willingness to stand by the Holy Empire in this dark time. Also His Imperial Majesty has personally asked if you or your leader would be willing to attend the funeral of his brother the Prince Julien who was killed in these attacks, when the date is set we will telegram you with ample time. We understand if there is hesitation in terms of security but this was the first terrorist attack in over 40 years and and we believe that the threat level is low in regards to a follow up attack.

As for the time of the State Funeral, I am unsure as to when. Not for many days at this point. The ambassador has informed us that we had one employee missing but she is found good and well except a hangover in her house.

It is with great confidence that the attacks on the people of Eddoren that occurred on the 23rd of Frostfall, were a coordinated strike on the capital city of Presidium Citadel in which a staggering total of 14,000 people were killed including an Ambassador and several other embassy staff along with the brother of our Sovereign, Prince Julien of Great House Caelia in the Temple of the Divines. There are two group that are responsible for the attacks. The first group is the Separatist Faction known as the Golden Light, they are typically known for intimidation tactics, minor robberies, and political kidnappings but never anything on this scale. That is where the second group comes in. The Maar Tuz -- or Terror Blade -- in the Ancient Language, is known for assassinations, bombings on a small scale and on occasion the attack on military supply convoys. However they too have never dared do anything in the Imperial Capital. These two group have officially been declared Vax in the eyes of the State. Anyone harboring, helping or within either of these organizations will be considered a traitor and will be tried for Sedition and Treason and executed by the Government on the order of Holy Emperor Arcadius (II). They will be dealt with appropriately. Anyone be it Citizen or not with information on these groups is asked to direct the information to the Imperial Ministry of Intelligence and Information.
