Damara smiled. "I know what you mean. I was forced into a corset by an evil woman." She joked, referring to Margine, her maid. "I'm sure you can pull some strings and handle all of the affairs involving our two countries. Like I mentioned, I don't think I want to put my people's fate in your fathers hands." She said quietly, glancing over at the Elector Primo.

Of course, I will take your nations matters into my hands... I'll ask our Congress (Made up of The Grand Senate and The House of Representatives) to let me handle you nation's matters." He then continued a little embarrassed, "So ummm. would you like to go to diner some time? Here or in Antarctica. I know great restaurants back in my home city, Agua Azul?." He quickly continues in worry, "If you don't I completely understand."

Eden spectated all of this and was not pleased in the slightest! He motioned for the Colonel to follow him, who at the time was off in the corner keeping watch. "Come along Colonel, I have to stop this particular issue in its tracks."

He and the Colonel approached them and he addressed Levi. "Hello young man, I dont believe I've met you hear before..Ah I see you've met my dear Damara, I do hope you two are getting along."
He grinned.

Damara turned and looked at President Eden incredulously, for he was being extremely rude to her. She gave him a polite, but unkind smile. "President Eden, this is Vice Elector Primo Levi Dean. Levi, this is President Eden. Please forgive his rudeness, for I don't think they teach manners in his country." She gave Levi a rueful smile, then turned and looked up at the President. "You have some nerve, Mr. President." She muttered, her silver eyes cold as steel.

Damara turned and looked at President Eden incredulously, for he was being extremely rude to her. She gave him a polite, but unkind smile. "President Eden, this is Vice Elector Primo Levi Dean. Vice-Elector Levi turned around and said, "Oh hello... Umm I think it's time for me to get going.." He looked down with disheartening sorrow.

As the young Vice-Elector walked away back to his group, the guards came up to him and chuckled and followed by saying, "So you like that girl huh... hehe.." His father James approached him and said, "Son, where have you been!" he responded by saying, "I was just talking to the Queen Damara..." He looked down and blushed even by saying her name. James said, "You better not have made yourself a fool... This is politics not a love game, son." Levi said, "I know, I know dad... I just want to be a bit normal sometimes."

As the ball continues the Antarctic officials are speaking to others and the soldiers stand there as statues being highly educated in Drake University. Although when something devastating happens. We learn that Elector Primo's Secretary of Treasury was attempted to be assassinated. He was traveling on a Helicopter and a barrage of mini-missiles were fired at him, because high tech anti-missiles systems installed on almost every military vehicle, vessel, and aircraft it dodged the missiles but instead it hit a Black Hawk X1. No one was killed but a very valuable aircraft was destroyed and 16 soldiers were wounded. This is very troubling for the Elector Primo and the Princeps Elect. They are to return to Antarctica to resolve this immediately. Young Vice-Elector Levi Dean, age 18 and 6 months is in charge of leading relations here in Apolitistos. He has been assigned a patrol of 16 guard because of the incident that happened.

Damara noticed the Elector Primo and Princeps Elect leaving and immediately made her way over to the Vice Elector Primo. "What happened? Is everything alright?" She asked the man, genuine concern etching her delicate features.

The Colonel meanwhile had stationed himself and his men in strategic positions in the room.
"Oh by the way, my dear. Yes, I do have such nerve."

Damara sighed and turned on the President. "Sir, there are more pressing matters at hand right now! If you can put our silly dispute away for just a moment and stop being so self-centered, we might be able to do something about whatever the issue is!" She huffed in annoyance and turned back to Vice Elector Primo Levi. "Now, please tell me what's happened, sir." She requested.

Ignoring Eden, the young Vice-Elector, Levi said, "One of my dad's closest friends or the Secretary of State was almost assassinated. He is going to have to leave immediately and he left me in charge of discussing thing with your government for now until congress approves me."

She said curtly, her smile tight and obviously forced. She lead him to a quiet corner of the grand hall. "What is it you wish to speak to me about, President? Make it quick." She told him with a curt nod, her curls bouncing around her.

Eden turned back to Damara and followed her.
Eden seemed just a tad nervous. "I realize my behavior may have been unsatisfactory..and for that I apologize...but I would also to like to ask if I may begin courting you formally?"

She offered him a friendly smile and rolled her eyes before turning back to President Eden. "I am not your lady, sir, but I will speak with you, yes." She said curtly, her smile tight and obviously forced. She lead him to a quiet corner of the grand hall. "What is it you wish to speak to me about, President? Make it quick." She told him with a curt nod, her curls bouncing around her.

Levi thought to himself, why such connection. According to her facial expressions and reactions that I closely analyzed, she is quit annoyed yet forced to speak and deal with this obnoxious politician. He claims that he is her lady? Out of respect? Maybe. I sure hope she isn't being forced into anything. And I do hope he isn't affiliated to her emotionally...

Damara looked at him, shocked. "I..." She looked at up him, torn between flattery, anger, and shock. "I... Am shocked that you have the nerve to come here and be so disrespectful to me and then suddenly ask to court me! You must be pretty cocky, sir! You... You... You are infuriating!" She yelled at him, her eyes burning like molten silver. Her gaze softened as she looked at him longer, realizing that he'd put himself in quite a vulnerable place. "I... I'm sorry. That was insensitive of me..." She said quietly, looking obviously regretful. She looked down in shame and was silent for a moment. "I suppose I can give you a chance. But I warn you, President, if I am not happy with you, I will swiftly get rid of you." She warned.

Damara looked at him, shocked. "I..." She looked at up him, torn between flattery, anger, and shock. "I... Am shocked that you have the nerve to come here and be so disrespectful to me and then suddenly ask to court me! You must be pretty cocky, sir! You... You... You are infuriating!" She yelled at him, her eyes burning like molten silver. Her gaze softened as she looked at him longer, realizing that he'd put himself in quite a vulnerable place. "I... I'm sorry. That was insensitive of me..." She said quietly, looking obviously regretful. She looked down in shame and was silent for a moment. "I suppose I can give you a chance. But I warn you, President, if I am not happy with you, I will swiftly get rid of you." She warned.

"Don't be..it was entirely justified. I promise you will not regret this!"
Eden seemed both a little disheartened,yet determined. It seemed the fire of ambition had been lit in him, and it would not burn out anytime soon.
"We should get back to the other guests no?"

[Apolitistos]

Damara nodded quietly. I hope I haven't made a mistake. She thought to herself as she moved around the room, talking to people and smiling at them, thought she wasn't really there. Her mind was somewhere else. Specifically, on the President and why she'd said yes. Maybe it was the crushed look on his face. Maybe it was the glimpse into his softer side. Whatever it was, she hoped she wasn't just being a silly girl.

A couple minutes passed and the 16 soldiers got a message through their earpiece and notified the young Vice-Elector "Sir, we must take you to your Hotel in your Presidential Suite. Levi: "But..." Soldier, "Sir we must, you can continue your quarrel tomorrow, now we must take you to your suite" Levi replied, "Alright..." He sighed and looked down. He looked back and then forward then exited the ball to his hotel.

When Levi settled into his Hotel Presidential Suite, he headed to a bar on a busy street in Apolitistos. He refused that his guards follow him. He went without his suit but with jeans and a country blue button-up. He ordered a couple non-alcoholic drinks. He talked with a few people. When he was about to leave, he got in his nice mustang rental car. He started the car when someone walked up pulled gun and fired at the young Vice-Elector. He was rushed to a hospital quickly and has not been heard of yet.

As the Goat, the helicopter from the cruiser currently entering harbour, set down and came to a rest on the helipad, the Foreign Minister was already jumping out - that were his old instincts from the Herodan Mountain Cavalry, 6th Regiment, where he made his compulsory service.
He was a proud man of Illion after all.
With a hand, he helped his wife out, who wasn't hindered by missing knowledge (she was from the same regiment as him after all) but her dress and the gift basket. The winds kicked up the helicopter's blades, slowly stopping, did their thing with their hairstyles, but the combination of slightly blown, but still orderly and the dress made Alexandra look even more beautiful then if everything was in order.
"You carry the heavy stuff.", she said with a smile in Herodan and handed the basket over, before taking his hand and leading him forward. "Now, where to for the ball?"

A soldier greeted the couple on the helipad with a swift bow. " This way, Madam and Sir." He said, marching them to the palace, which wasn't far away.

Damara looked around, seeing that the Vice Elector Primo had left. I hope I didn't hurt his feelings. She thought sympathetically. I also hope nothing bad happened to him. People are targeting his government, after all. She thought again. In this land, word didn't come around as fast as in other parts of the world.

The young Vice-Elector Levi, always had his bulletproof vest. He was shot 3 times on his torso and once on his arm. He was only badly injured on his right arm. He was still in the hospital. Antarctic officials called him but he denied that they come over here. He insisted that this is his job. Although his guards were there. The guards went through the same basic training all Antarctic peoples went through during Grade School, HIgh School, and University. They were all good friends with Levi. Although he was injured with a bullet wound, he still thought Did Damara see me leave? Did she notice me? Does she know i'm shot? Why did she show favor for Eden? Did I do something wrong?. His arm was healing quicker because Antarctic medicine was sent to him. Antarctic science and medicine always was innovated. He now lay in the hospital bed wondering.

A soldier approached Damara in the ballroom and informed her of the shooting of the Vice Elector Primo through a hushed whisper. Damara gasped softly. "Is he alright?" She asked quietly. "Yes, your highness, he will be fine." The soldier assured her. She nodded and waved him away, resolving to visit him later that night, after the festivities.
