Sorry about how long it took to get RP samples in. I've been away from NS a bit (school work is mostly to blame), and I don't check the TGs on this account as much as I used to (since I'm mostly RPing with another. I have sent a sample to Vakolic, now, though.

Guys, I'm really sorry I haven't been able to host this nearly as well either as I'd like to or you deserve. I've not even had time for much rp, my rl has been hectic with college deciding that this is when it wants to have its big internal exams.

Tomorrow, I'll get the last match of the first round started, and do the draw for the second. I'll also look for rp samples myself (although if you provide them, I'll use them) to get rid of the time it takes people to respond. Obviously, I want this completed in 2014!

You should recuse yourself from this.. I don't think its appropriate for you stealth yourself in to being on a list no matter who endorses it. It smells of corruption.

Why have you put yourself in there at all? This whole contest has been marred by scandal and corruption and finding a way to stealth your name on to a list of "the best" by putting yourself a judge who is supposedly "impartial" on it, blows your position out of the water.

No, this contest has been marred by people attempting to mess it up by rigging votes; I like to think I was not one of them. I can guarantee that all of the draws were created with random drawing services, and the results of each and every matchup will be calculated by the principle of adding up the votes of one competitor, adding up the votes of another competitor, and seing which one is higher. If I do engage in a match against someone who receives higher votes than me, they will go through to the next round of the competition; I shall not.

As it is, I neither asked for nominations nor nominated anyone, and indeed only just managed to get the required nominations, like many other competetors. Of course some people may claim that my enitial draw against Asigna (who admitted himself was not one of the more well-known names in the competition) was a farely easy draw, however I am now drawn against Crontor, somebody who progressed to the second round at the expense of last years runner up; I think not a soft draw. Furthermore, I am in the same region as him, and have not been their for as long as him; thus I cannot count on a great deal of support based on regional affiliation.
I believe that your claims that my participation in the contest, considering my draw, my nominations and the nature of the contest are completely baseless and only seek to make the contest run less smoothly for everybody. If you wish to support rping on nationStates, do by all means vote for your favoured competitor in each of the matches laid out. If you wish to criticise my running of the contest, I'm sure that the amount of time I have taken deserves criticism; go ahead and do it. If you wish to accuse me of corruption in my management of the contest, yes: go ahead and do that as well, only when you do, please remember to add some information to back up your otherwise baseless claim.

Search "corruption" in this thread. There were plenty of accusations.

Vote rigging, drama the works.. seriously this has done nothing but leave a sore on the forums and a lesson of how not to do things. Segregating the need to set a good example for the community and newbies.. For a popularity contest.. That is corruption and mentors endorsing such a thing; is outright dangerous.

Weather my position is popular or unpopular; i take this stand not because I want to be a SJW , or popular ... But because it is the right thing to do.
