The nation had descended into chaos...

Riots in the streets of Hicastu, the capital of the Fourtese Republic.

...after Mikhael Faye - social democrat and leader of the Democratic People's Alliance - was elected President in mid-August. He replaced then outgoing-President Oliver Scott, a "hardcore" socialist who oversaw the stagnation of the Fourtese economy. This new President began instituting social liberal and democratic reforms, which he labeled the "great push towards propserity in our republic." Oliver Scott then began heavy criticism of Faye, stating "this new President is a sham, and is no better than those capitalist pigs of the plutocratic state over half a century ago. I *should not* have expected greatness from him".

Faye began reforming the basics of the Fourtese Republic, changing the flag, ideology, and even the name of his country. The 'hardcore' socialists of the Socialist Worker's Alliance introduced mass protests and rallies, which soon descended into urban rioting. Clashes between the police and protestors increased significantly. The event which changed it all was the accidental shooting of an unarmed protestor; the SWA began preparations for possible militant activity after said event.

Out of all this, an unexpected thing occurred. 'Freedom Star', an armed pro-capitalist group that had remained underground since the socialists seized power in 1976, "came out" and began their activities. A weird 'hate triangle' sparked between the government, the socialists, and the capitalists. Each side wanted power, and they were willing to fight for it.

The socialists turned to their power-base: southwest District XIV. They quickly took control of a large amount of territory, seizing town after town before the Fourtese Military could say "Oh, shit!". Freedom Star made advances in the north/northwest territories of the republic, and were also quick to seize towns. Now both forces were pushing towards Hicastu, the capital, while government forces fiercely fought back. SWA leader, Oliver Scott, said, "the battle for Hicastu will be the last battle."

Our government is concerned with the growing unrest burdening and threatening the daily lives of your people, Mister President. We have heard news from various media firms, here and abroad, specifically in television, about the intensity of what are going on in the Fourtese Republic. This is why I have sent you this missive in response to your country’s strife. I would like to offer you, your government, and your fellow countrymen asylum in our imperial federation.

Our armed forces have been told to prepare in advance to send in military transport aircraft from our air force, to airlift people wanting to escape the upcoming conflict. I will also send planes from my fleet of official and private air transports to contribute the attempt of effort about to be shown by our servicemen in this operation. Expect fighter aircraft accompanying the Air Transports, sent along to protect and serve.

The aforementioned however will not go further until you, Mister President, have determined. I would like to apologize as this is how far as we can help.

I hope to hear from you soon to discuss this matter further.

We appreciate your support and assistance in our much unexpected and unneeded war against these extremists. Any words of hope from the international community are much appreciated, and actual physical support is amazing. The care foreign states show is mind-blowing.

Anyway, your transport aircraft are directed to land Fourtese Military Base #122, located on the outskirts of Hicastu; well protected from extremist forces. We will begin delivering pamphlets to citizens informing them to proceed to said airbase and prepare for departure to Viridsolum. May god bless you all.

Your defense aircraft may land at the same airbase; we'll be maintaining multiple open runways for them.

In People's Air Forces Bases across the country strike air craft such as Eurofighters and TU-160's are being readied in case they are called to hit government positions in Fourtese, also large number of transport C-17's are currently being filled us weapons and ammunition to drop the the SWA. Missile destroyers have already found targets for a first wave of cruise missiles. Ground troops are not being prepared yet but the government are ready to use them.

It is a pleasure to write to you, albeit a mournful occasion.

I am aware of the split that has occurred in your once-great nation. The official stance of the government is that the new socialist-democratic government is too compromising with capitalism, the key ideology of the imperialistic IFC. We will not allow such a government to exist in District XIV while we have influence in the nation, especially when a great deal of our own country rests in the care of District XIV. We are aware that your forces maintain control of the majority of the country, including the agricultural centers, but lack the ability to ship them to our nation.

We cannot allow this. We will soon begin operations against the government, to aid you in retaking your ports and your nation, as well as driving out the pathetic 'Freedom Star' rebels. We will begin by sending Aerodeznitzelen (paratroopers), who will seize key towns and disrupt enemy movement in government territory, before we move to secure port cities and other important locations. We will be supplying arms to you; both the weaponry of the government, confiscated by us as we march through their cities, and our own weaponry, which I am assured you will find to be of satisfactory quality.

I simply ask that you cooperate with our forces, and notify all SWA members quickly, lest we fire upon eachother and we become merely a fourth faction in this war.

It was a quiet morning. The locals milled about, minding their daily business. It was one of the regions that hadn't been touched by the civil war. It remained under government control. It wasn't deemed important enough by the Fourtese military to lock down; they simply left a military base with rapid-response personnel nearby.

Multiple loud booms pierced the morning air. As people ran outside to see what had happened, they looked up to see the sky filled with cargo planes and parachutes, as well as smoke billowing from the nearby military base. Police sirens began wailing as cars and vans drove towards the nearby plains, where the paratroopers were to land.

As the vans arrived at the field, the police got out to see the soldiers already landing, along with BTR-3s, Dziks, and gear. The armed police drew their weapons and assumed positions, while one officer, with his handgun ready in his holster, walked towards the crowd of paratroopers, who were scrambling among the vehicles, gear, and eachother. The officer singled out the nearest soldier, who was retrieving ammunition for his rifle.

"Vh'ata hing non av'r harea? Vh'at'si fouri forpos?" 1 the officer inquired sternly, tapping him on the shoulder to get his attention.

The soldier briefly looked at the police officer, and shouted, "Marek! Os slubol polisel atepti kí spike as mu. Vule á j Xuivuce spike."

"Da, sergantel!" 2 The soldier quickly grabbed his rifle, an MSBS, and ran towards the officer and soldier.

The officer repeated his questions to the second soldier. The soldier replied, "Ve here'he ta usum kuntr'lo af'o'ta refa. Tis'oru autorhiti nah'o; var ta diole veng, uyoa he veliev af'duti." 3

"Bati oho he uyoa?"

"Hatuo si ano af'uyoav koser'na."

"Uyoa odoa not laf ta kuntr'lo oyo siti!"

"Aktu'lia," the soldier said, casually motioning with his head towards a nearby BTR-3 that had started up, 'Ve da."

"No'i." 4 The officer said, firmly. These would be his last words. The sergeant raised his AL1 rifle and opened fire, killing him. Screams and gunfire sounded on both sides, as the officers opened fire and the soldiers scrambled for cover. However, the BTRs quickly eliminated the officers and SWAT, and began loading up troops. As they moved towards a town, they witnessed a downed cargo plane crash near the city center. The Dziks were immediately diverted to investigate, while the BTRs continued to scour the city for those who were willing to resist the occupational forces.

Asylum seekers will be given choices if they would want to stay in the Viridisian Homeland or father away from the War into our provinces and possessions after they are safely brought here. Even better, Her Imperial Majesty has asked me to add to our offer that asylum seekers after the War may apply for citizenship in the New Empire." Imperial Court Spokesperson Hatdel Sayton said in a press conference at Castle Calaera's Imperial Throne Room earlier this morning, around 9:14 A.M Viridisian Homeland Standard Time. Her Imperial Majesty, with the Imperial Supreme Command and the Imperial Crown Ministry for Foreign Affairs, has announced that the H.I.M.S Prince Hyalo V will be on a deployment to the east coast of Sempit nearby the Western European Republic.

From there, outside the maritime borders of the Western European Republic and perhaps the Fourtese Republic, military transport planes shall fly into Fourtese airspace to land on a Fourtese Military Base within Fourtese government-held territory, situated somewhere there. H.I.M.S Prince Hyalo V, Regis Filius Hyalo XVI in Viridisian Latin, was built by the Viridisia Bay Shipyard in Viridisia, Viridisolum, the only manufacturer of Princely/Imperial Viridisian aircraft carriers. In December 22, 1990 it was launched and named by Prince Hyalo XVI after him. A week later, it embarked on sea trials for six months and another five months after an undisclosed final maintenance check which discovered several faults in the Ship. It is an aircraft cruiser (Acronym: HACMC Definition: Heavy Aircraft Carrying Missile Cruiser) serving as the flagship of H.I.M Navy.

The Prince Hyalo XVI was originally commissioned in the then His Serene Highness's Navy , and was intended to be the lead ship of its class, the Prince Hyalo XVI class aircraft carrier - similar to Russia's Kuznetsov class aircraft carriers. It is the only ship of its class.

Columbionite Central News: President Huntleigh approves 15,000 troops for deployment in Fourtese

In his late night weekly television speech, President Huntleigh has announced the deployment of 15,000 troops intended to fight of the Freedom Star forces. Columbionite forces will not engage in or aid in fighting on behalf of either the government or socialist side. Fourtese is a key ally internationally for Columbion, the former socialist government had close relations with Huntleigh's administration and the former Socialist Federal Republic of Columbion. The current government has also been supportive of Columbion internationally with the Austzelandis Civil War.

Opponents of President Huntleigh in the Supreme Council call the move of only fighting the Freedom Star forces a "cowardly thing" and call on President Huntleigh to pick a side. Supporters however are praising President Huntleigh's swift response and hope that Columbionite forces will crush the Freedom Star terrorists.
