Transcript from a New American Eighth Graders History Book, Some pages have been lost.


Following the downfall of the United States following the Second Civil War during the Fourth World War the North Pole had been left deserted. During the Second Civil War when the New Southern Freedom Movement marched on Washington D.C. and leveled the capitol the nation was left without leadership. The nation fell into turmoil as small militias formed in every town as mayors fought to control regions. Multiple foreign nations moved in to claim land and it started to look like pre revolutionary USA, before the United States purchased all of the land. One of those foreign nations wasn't really a nation, it was more of a PMC. This PMC, going by the name of Andreos Limited started colonizing the North Pole and pushed all of the native residents out. They began mass producing military machines and created an army that could match and modern day nation. That all ended when the combined forces of the Free American Army, The French Military, and the Russian Military banded together to take over the Northern Area of the US. Following the defeat of Andreos Limited the nations began to fight among themselves, most of the military forces in the North Pole were killed either due to fighting or starvation as supply lines had been cut off. This left a treasure trove of military bases, icbm launch facilities, and tons and tons of military weapons to be claimed. The last few pages have been torn out, who knows what happened next?

This is where new nations come in, there will be a total of 5-6 nations, they will be fighting for the north pole. You may form alliances, whatever works.

[Soviet Chernarus]

Following several oil shortages in the Soviet People's Republic of Chernarus, prices skyrocketed; the leaders of the nation desperately sought to gain access to petroleum and natural gas reserves. Knowing that oil and gas reserves existed below the sea floor in the North Pole, all of Chernarus's greatest military leaders and strategists were called - devising Operation Golden Fox, it aimed to quickly secure military bases and weapons, whilst securing the regions where known reserves would be extracted and sent back to the mainland.

Chernarus is fully aware of other nations interests and claims to the region, and fully acknowledged the likely possibility of an outbreak of war. Thus, two arctic divisions, totaling almost 30,000 troops, will be deployed, as well as a Chernarussian fleet including several icebreakers. Chernarus also plans to construct "arctic hospitals" (housing and treating wounded), supply bases, and additional military bases and airfields in the North Pole.

[Quasilia]

Quasilia, grow little by little each day, is strong for a small country. It's people are happy, crime is fairly low, and it's spirituality is strong. But it's military is a bit of a soft spot. More funds are needed for defense, and it's overbearing. Being a newly-founded nation means they will likely go to war in due time. They have merely started, and things may fall apart soon.

That's when they heard about the North Pole. They heard of it's massive supply of weaponry and other military assets. "How could it be just sitting here?" wonders Quasi, Quasilia's President. Tempting, but they know they are not the only ones who want it, and nobody's willing to share.
There will be war.

After giving it much thought, Quasilia decides to go for it. But they will try not to go full-on in the war. They will focus on claiming the territory through more peaceful ways. They will still go to war; they have the resources and Army, no doubt. But it will not be enough.
What Quasilia wants is to gain--how much they're willing to lose is a mystery.

[Soviet Chernarus]

Chernarus offers Quasilia a non-aggression and a trade pact. Seeing how both countries can benefit from such an alliance, Chernarus will agree to trade weapons, vehicles, and aircraft - including the new Nididka T-90 tank, which is surprisingly resistant to enemy fire, including artillery and other tanks, while still being maneuverable. However, this is at the cost of being more prone to mechanical and engine failures, which can impede or slow down an advance. Both countries will also assist each other in the event of war.

[The Aspari Syndicate]

The Syndicate has long held plans for the Arctic, though at present they have not exploited it as a resource. Establishment of their San Francisco branch of operations was far more important, and with that out of the way, they could focus fully on asset deployment as opposed to dividing their focus. However, the company still held no claims on the land in the Arctic Circle, which could prove problematic. Further deepening the issue was the fact that a number of foreign nations had indicated interest in the territory, which was abjectly unacceptable. It was time for decisive action.

First, the Prideland would be contacted. They were still a young organization, but they had fire in their hearts and Araia Talos knew that they would be an excellent option for the initial strike. Their job would be to operate covertly, cutting power lines, disabling generators, and other subversive actions to ensure that survival in the cold would be difficult for their adversaries.

Next, it was time for Black Water to shine. Their ground forces were spectacular at producing decisive and overwhelming assaults on enemy positions, and their duty would be to ensure that the other nations were aware that this was land they would have to die for. Extensive arms contracts, along with an off-the-books payroll, ensured that their troopers had the appropriate gear and training for the environment they were coming to face. They would be the Syndicate's most visible weapon.

Last but not least, the Syndicate had a plan of its own to execute. Though it was too early in the conflict to launch an assault themselves, they could certainly make the pressure on the colonial settlers known. The Data-Spiders would set to work as soon as establishment of territory began, locating key infrastructure and computer systems and doing their utmost to damage them from a distance. But this passive electronic assault wasn't the only attack Aspari would be launching... two Syndicate Intervention teams would also be deploying North via submarine. Trained in alpine and arctic warfare in prepartion for this very mission, they would be a force to be reckoned with, even lacking heavy armor or air support. They would remain hidden though, until the Syndicate saw an opportunity; their proxies would lead the battle, but Aspari would always be there in the background, patiently waiting like spiders in their webs..

[Pridelands Defense Group]

Grigory Ezdovo, the Bear of Baikal, scowled into the arctic blizzard. He and his team had been some of the first on the scene, but the big news was the arrival of Chernarussian forces. If his gut feeling was correct, it was them he'd be targeting, but he had to be sure.

He had left his men camped elsewhere and taken a snowmobile to a nearby ridgeline, and sure enough, there were Chernorussian men in their hundreds, working hard to lay down cables, power lines and to try to tame the wilderness. In the distance, he could see one of their mighty icebreaker ships, and it was that, he decided, that needed to die first.

Turning, the giant, fur-clad man resettled his snowgoggles and disappeared back into the night.

[Black Water USA]

The Syndicate had contacted BlackWater to aid them in the War for the North Pole. BlackWater were aware of the battles between the nations in the North Pole and also aware of all the good things left behind there. Long ago BW had a big interest to set up bases in North Pole but they would never get the world's approval to build bases there and even might cause problem for USA but now they have their golden chance.

BlackWater CEO John Black had no doubt about his mercenaries,which was one of world's finest soldiers. They have a history in almost every kind of missions and environment. Governments all over the world have hired them for battle against rebels,terrorists, paramilitary groups and etc.

A reconnaissance satellite,spy satellite, had captured pictures of a big military base which seemed to be abandon and therefor their first goal would be to take over the base.

Even though the BlackWater staff were pretty sure that the base were abandon they would not take any risk. They will send their finest mercenaries and to every cost takeover the place.

[Quasilia]

Quasilia rejects the offer. While such a tank is unimaginable, an engine malfunction when trying to advance is not a risk worth taking. As for the weaponry and military vehicles, they can provide that for themselves.

Quasi orders a small group of 1,000 men by sea to scout the North Pole. He implores that they try to stay out of any combat if possible. If they do, fine, but we need to keep as many men alive as possible for soon-to-come advances. He also asks them to make their rations last as long as possible. Quasi stays behind to plan attacks and keep Quasilia up and running. But if something happens, he'll be there.

Ministry Of Defense, Gracemeria

Minister Of Defense Jonathon Luxbero had read the reports detailing the North Pole and its assets. Eemeria being the strong nation it was had no need for those resources, yet it couldn't let hostile nations get a hold of them. Knowing that Jonathon set in course Operation StoneWall, the use of a massive military force to halt the hostile forces in their tracks. Jonathon smiled as he finished typing the official order, he hit send and instantly it was sent to leaders in all branches of the armed forces, immediately all over Eemeria Military Forces began to mobilize, naval ships began moving towards their specified targets, and intelligence assets around the world began collecting data. This would be easy.

He squinted into the darkness, the blizzard ruffling his beard, weighing up his options. He could go check it out, and risk a firefight for no reason, or he could let it go.
The Bear of Baikal had only one option. He buzzed his snowmobile a little way south, then left it running with the lights on, facing back towards the ridgeline, then set out on foot heading further south.

North Pole

Eemerian Forces had begun arriving just south of their target and they had begun setting up forward camps. So far only 45% of the Forces had arrived but a majority of that was Naval forces. The captains of the ships began giving orders for different battle groups to begin blockading the area. Four groups of ships detached from the two fleets stationed there and began sailing away. Following that groups of artillery began moving towards their forward positions to help Eemerian Ground Forces defend their targets.

Military Base DAKOTA, North Pole

100 Mercenaries are targeting the base which they named to Dakota. 20 Snipers are around the base and 80 are now preparing to breach down the doors. They were only waiting for the signal.

'' Sir,they are ready.'' Says a merc to the officer
'' Alright, give alpha orders to breach down the doors.''
''Roger that, Sir. Alpha,breach down the door.''

BOOM. The doors are down and the mercs are storming in the base and are checking all the floors. BlackWater was right,the base are abandon. Officer comes in to the base.

'' Boys, let's settle down. Send a message to HQ, tell them we need more soldiers.''

BlackWater HQ

Helicopters are preparing to take BW soldiers to North Pole and are also taking tanks and military snow vehicles for the soldiers.

[Soviet Chernarus]

Defeat was unthinkable. A defeat would mean disastrous consequences for the country - Chernarus knew that after the completion of GOLDEN FOX, they would fight a purely defensive war to defend the oil rigs and drilling sites they had captured. Generals also knew that aerial and armored support - particularly in the form of tanks and aircraft - would be limited due to the terrain. To supply the divisions would be also extremely difficult - there were no self sufficient, food producing labs to rely on. In the face of the biting cold, harsh winds, and the measly rations, morale would quickly plummet - a prolonged conflict in the north pole would not end good for the Chernarussian military.
The arctic warfare divisions are being prepared to be deployed to the north pole in anticipation of GOLDEN FOX.

Admiral Pearson, CO of the naval operation during this conflict, had just received orders to keep any enemy forces away from the drilling platforms. He was told if any enemy got anywhere near the platforms to have them blown up, no matter what. He began sending orders out to his fleet to have different battlegroups go and defend different oil rigs. Each group consisted of an aircraft carrier, two battleships, and three corvettes. That would be more then enough to stop them.

The squad of 1,000 arrives in good time, taking only a day, but that means a day's worth of rations. They plan to split into 2 groups--that way, if they get spotted, casualties will be few. They split the rations and set off on foot. They plan to only inspect half the continent.


Meanwhile in Quasilia, the highest in command discuss what to do if--and when--they capture the North Pole.

"With all the military assets, we could use it as a military base!" says Sergeant Major Douglas Hart. "We don't have to ship any weapons or vehicles or anything back here."

"No no no!" Says Lieutenant General Cassius Dover. "We cannot keep anyone there! It is inhospitable! We'll just ship everything here. It'll cost a hefty amount of Quasidollars, but it won't cost Quasilian lives."

"What about nuclear testing?" suggest Vice Admiral Jesse Brooke. "With the big boom in Uranium mining, it can be a great opportuinity to test our bombs--and our developing Nuke shelters!"

"All of these suggestions are brilliant, Gentlemen," Says Quasi. "I will take them all into consideration." Everyone shakes hands and departs. Now Quasilia has opportunities even greater than they thought.

OOC: If possible, could I "discover" other reserves of oil/natural gas? I really don't want to have to fight you over some offshore oil rigs that I can't even defend.

The commander of this fleet, Admiral Ivanov Romovsky, has been ordered strictly not to engage with the enemy unless forced to. An additional fleet, which information remains strictly classified, will protect supply lines. The primarily goal of Ivanov's fleet at the moment is to escort the transport ships. The appropriate equipment, including proper uniforms suited for the cold weather, will also be transported in separate ships. Carrier based AWAC aircraft will be launched to pinpoint the locations of enemy fleets.

[Soviet Chernarus]

The scouting expedition has departed harbor and are currently en route to [that island between east siberian and laptev sea that I'm too lazy to research]. Along with the troops, several MBTs and aircraft will be supplied. The aircraft are mainly there for surveillance purposes; therefore, they are only unarmed and will be used for recon. Detailed maps of the terrain and bases are expected from the Stavka.

[Quasilia]

Even after a few mere hours on foot, they decide to rest and use bonoculars to see into the distance. It's a bit difficult to see through the blizzard on the small island of Svalbard, but they can try.

Each group spots an offshore mining facility, a ways away from the shore, but also a group of military forces several yards away. Other than such, they see nothing. They decide to rest for a while, and in a few hours, head southward. They cannot risk combat with the forces.
