"This uprising is entirely a surprise, but it is not the ordinary people who are uprising, but a portion of the military. No doubt they want more power for themselves. The rebels are foreigners and members of the Mamluk class. They all work in the military or as civil servants, obviously they thought they were better off working for themselves. Their position is what has allowed them to cause so much trouble. As far as democracy, we do not have it, so that is not the problem" the Prince explained. "Thank you again for your help."

Meanwhile, a patrol greeted Captian Kholer and the rest of the Alderaan Special Forces. "You must come with us Captain, we will soon need to fight, and Prince Abdul wishes to speak with you before the battle" said the Patrol leader. Just then his radio squawked. "That is signal, we must go, double quick." With that the leader signalled to his men, and hurried off towards the complex, expecting the Alderaan troops to follow.

Takara nodded thoughtfully, then twisted in her seat to speak to the pilot behind her.
"Ikou!" she snapped, raising her voice to be heard over the thud of the rotors. The moment she spoke, two of her men raised their rifles, grinning, pointing them at the Prince. At the same time, the pilot began sending out a radio distress call.
"We're hit, we're going down, we're going down, mayday mayday!"
He put the helicopter into a sickening dive, spiralling down towards the desert floor, before levelling out barely six meters off the ground and heading south towards the Colonel's forces. They dialled down the ERP of their radio, reducing the range, and began calling out once they got close to the Colonel's rebel Mamluk forces.
"This Huey is not hostile, do not engage, repeat we are not hostile, do not engage. We wish to speak to your commanding officer, over."

Captain Kholer signaled for his men to follow in formation as to not bunch up. The complex wasn't far away. Only 3 KM away on the walk to the complex Captain Khloer radioed high command.
" watch eye......gopher 1...... Heading to the casino"
Within a min a radio transmission was received. " gopher 1.... Watch eye.... Location received.... Update.... Poseidon is in the water..."

With the transmission complete the captain proceeded to the complex. The captain had a smirk on his face.
" don't worry guys we shouldn't be here long Poseidon is in the water."
Everyone in the group knew that Poseidon was the code word for the navy task force off the coast. The group proceeded to the desert complex. Once the complex was in sight the captain motioned for his men to form up on him.
" now listen we are going to follow protocol on this. Me and two others will make contact. Everyone else take positions on the sand dunes over looking the complex. If anything happens open up on the complex with everything we have. And if it gets really bad call for air support the task force is anchored 20 miles from the coast so it would take at least a half hour for any support to arrive. Just keep that in mind."
With everyone knowing their jobs the majority of the men set up on the dunes. Making make shift fighting positions. The majority of the men carried the standard HK416 assault rifle with the AG-36 grenade launcher attachment. While 4 individuals carried SR-25 sniper rifles, and 4 more individuals carried the Stoner machine gun.
Everyone was in position before the captain approached the front of the complex. Captain Kholer walked up to the front of the complex signaling that he was friendly.

The rebels advanced. Down the center, the armour advanced, backed by mechanized infantry, it slowly wedged itself into the government formation. Several rebel militia units, using pick up trucks had swung wide, and began rapidly closing in, executing a successful flanking movement. The government forces moved to strengthen the left flank, but the rebel commander ordered a well aimed and well timed mortar attack. The left flank broke into a route, the government troops began retreating. The rebels pushed harder.

The officers struggled to rally the troops, the General Prince showed his inexpedience and panicked; he ordered the general retreat. What occurred was a general route. Several units surrendered, others fled as fast as they could, many on foot. The rebels were not about to waste their victory, and pursued. The rebel commander, Colonel Naji watched from his command vehicle, when an aide approached him. "We have contact from a helicopter, it says it is friendly."

Prince Sami was swearing and cursing the Yngen. "You treacherous wench! daughter of a cur, you will pay for this. This is the last time I trust a woman. Allah will strike you all down, you are bound to hell, I tell you hell!" Meanwhile the rebel radioman gave directions. "Huey, please land near green smoke, and turn off your engines, keep your weapons down, and wait further instruction. Thank you."

As the Stormwrath Navy approached Naudin, fighter jets roared in the sky above. Then, they began to close on the aircraft carriers and fired their missiles. One of them, the ISS Cato, was partly damaged.

"Admiral!", reported a naval officer. "The ISS Cato has been damaged by enemy fighters. They could be Naudini rebels."
"Men, to your battle stations!", ordered Admiral Lionel, who was on the flagship ISS Tanamal, a battleship. "We're going to face hell and bring it to them!"

Two other carriers, the Sigismund and the Susanna, launched their fighters to confront the enemy. The fight was fast-paced, as fighters on both sides were shot down, one after another. The Stormwrath Navy lost 13 pilots in the onslaught.

Soon after, in the distance appeared the ships of the Naudini Navy. However, as the Admiral saw in his binoculars, they were flying the rebel flag. He then grabbed his communicator and issued a warning to the opposition.

"This is Admiral James Lionel of the Stormwrath Imperial Navy. Don't try to engage with us, or you will suffer the consequences."

The rebels didn't listen and fired on the ISS New Clifford, the Tanamal's sister ship. It was disabled by the shots, and vulnerable. Five cruisers came and protected the battleship. Once again, fighters took off from the aircraft carriers and shot at the rebel navy, with two carriers and six destroyers sunk in the naval battle that ensured.

General Prince Hadeed, was not the most skilled commander, but he was no coward either. So seeing his army melt away, and the enemy cut down his men, he devised a plan. Rallying his personal bodyguard and several surrounding units, he launched an attack. His aim no doubt was to cover the retreat, and if he was a smarter man he would have realized its danger and chosen a different course of action. Perhaps he never realised the full foolhardiness of his actions, his men however saw him, and perceived it as valour.

The rebels were almost halted, by they were hardened Mamluks, bred and raised for war. They expected opposition, and met it head on. The superior numbers were enough to sway the balance strongly in the Mamluks favour. The well aimed rockets were just the means by which they attained it. Hadeed's armoured command tank, was unmistakable. With a large flag and gilded decoration, there could be no doubt. So when it exploded, all knew that the General had died.

Touched by their commander's sacrifice, many of the government forces resolved to regroup at the complex, as opposed to abandoning the field together. His bodyguard fought on, dying in the same fashion as their master, consumed by fire, and scattered across the sands. Colonel Nehir, ordered his men to push on, to the complex.

Prince Abdul did not think to disagree with the Captain, but instead pondered on what was vital to take with him. Fortunately, for him, his immediate family was elsewhere, and presumably safe. He left the details and footwork of the evacuation to Captain Kholer, but made sure to take the credit himself. After explaining, how he had arranged for them all to be taken to safety, he turned to Kholer and said "How many people can we take?"

At the complex

Captain Kholer looked at Prince Abdul.
" sir battle group Poseidon is off the coast right now. Our eviction point is 10 miles away and with rebel forces closing in this will be a fast march again please bring only water. Everyone in the complex can come as long as they can walk and they don't slow us down. My main mission is you sir everyone else is secondary do you understand? Now get ready we move out in 15 mins."

The captain was a hardened man. Hardened by his training and by several deployments. But he was dedicated and would ensure that the prince made it to safety.

Takara smiled.
"I am Princess Takara of the Empire of Yngen. I came here with the intent of performing a daring rescue, but it became apparent that the royal house of Naudin is crumbling, weak. When I arrived they were fighting amongst themselves, shedding one anothers' blood. They were not fit rulers, and so instead I have decided to assist the people of Naudin in establishing a new, modern state, by handing over the most senior surviving member of the royal house. At least, he was most senior at the desert palace from which we took him."
She was young, with dark hair and olive skin, but her eyes were tinted bottle green, hinting at a mixed genetic background, as all the other members of her unit were either fair-coloured, or dark of hair and eye. She stood with an arrogance that seemed to automatically confirm her rank.

Two spies were eavesdropping on the conversation between Colonel Naji and Princess Takara. Yngen was previously thought to be supporting the royal house, but now it has turned its back on them. At least, they thought so. One of the spies whispered to the other, "Princess Takara is supporting the Colonel. Does this mean-"
"No", replied his companion. "We don't know what the official statement of the Yngenious Emperor or any of the Yngenious shoguns are in this conflict. It's best we wait."

Meanwhile at sea, the Stormwrath Navy caught sight of the Alderannian Navy in the distance. Immediately, the captain radioed them, saying "This is Captain Dwight Gaius of the Stormwrath 10th Fleet. Please respond. Over."

"Walk 10 miles in the desert? why can't we take the vehicles?" the Prince asked annoyed. Before he received his answer, and aide walked in and whispered into his ear. "Yes, I understand, thank you" he told the aide. "Unfortunately, our troops have been defeated, they are expected to regroup here and are being pursued. Their commander, my cousin is dead. We should get moving, or we will share his fate." Abdul then called his servant to carry his things. "After you Captain."

"You have done well. The capture of Prince Sami will help our cause, and you must tell me sometime how you accomplished it. But now we are short on time, and in fact, will have to continue our talk, while on the move" Colonel Naji said as he stood up. "We have to break camp, and head south. In a few hours, forces under my college, will have taken care of the complex and then do likewise. We expect an invasion from the sea." Naji paused, thought then asked "is it to forward to ask how you are planning to help us?"
