Ninety-six miles off the coast of The Kingdom of Rostrog

The Royal Navy was steaming back towards the Fatherland, forced out of one war and dragged by the hair into another one. The King had sent orders that the army and navy should return home as fast as possible and that is precisely what Admiral Richard Gent was doing. He read the comminique the Artitian Empire had sent the King and was forwarded to him and the Field Commander of the ground forces who sadly lost his life during the retreat out of the U.S.S.M. His vehicle to an artillery shell flipped the cab and through the Field Commander out of it his body nothing but a mangled heap. The Artitians knew that the Rostrogians would have to take time to transport their troops back home and decided to act upon it. Admiral Gent looked out from the bridge of the HRMS Fensworth, and muttered to himself but a sailor heard him and mistook it for an order.

"Sorry sir what was that?" The sailor asked as he stood to attention thinking the Admiral was addressing him.

"I was just saying that Artite loves to fight us. I feel though that this time they will crush us, we are just not prepared in the sense that we have left our land defenseless." Admiral Gent nodded at the young sailor. Then made his way to his room where he would try and catch some sleep. Hopefully it will be peaceful the rest of the trip home.

Royal Palace, Fensworth

King Godric was shouting and throwing pottery at his staff, as they tried to ask him to seek political means of ending this war instead of waging war once more and calling up the Militias to defend the homeland.

"Your majesty should know that calling up the ill-equipped militias may end in disaster in the sense that the Artitian troops may crash upon them like waves on sand. The inexperienced militias will dissolve once hit by the Artitian War Machine" one of the ministers said as he tried to reason with the king.

"Call up all Royal troops and have them ready for the defenses of this great kingdom at once!! Where is Admiral Gent?!" Godric was furious, he was prepared to wage a two front war but he did not know how effective it would be to fight in Moldovoska and keep the Artitians out of Rostrog.

"Last we heard from Admiral Gent your majesty was he was returning home. We have pin pointed his location to about one hundred miles off our coast and heading for Port Hamsteel".

"Good, i am going to need his navy to defend our shores, and call up all the militias it is imperative that we have every able bodied man serving this nation."

Mechion, The Holy Empire of Artite

Troops were being supplied and outfitted with everything they needed before they were loaded up on the ships to head out to the Kingdom of Rostrog. The 34th and 92nd Infantry Divisions were being shipped out from Mechion however, five more divisions and an Imperial Guard Regiment would join them in the fight against the Rostrogian Royal Army these Divisions would be the 15th Infantry Division,78th Infantry Division,12th Infantry Division, 85th Infantry Division, and 91st Infantry Division along with 4th Imperial Guard Regiment. However, these other units would depart from Rofinta and meet up with the rest of the invasion force en route to Rostrog. Though for now, it was time to hurry the preparations for war and make sure that the invasion is swift and hard against Rostrog. Emperor Constantine himself made an announcement earlier over national news that the Artitian-Rossia War would be "the final war against Rostrog, the final war to end all wars with Rostrog". The men and women of the armed forces knew that failure in Rostrog would result in a blow to national prestige. So, everything was on the line. The invasion would happen and the goal objective in the early part of the war was to seize Fensworth then combat the rest of the nation after securing the northern part of Rostrog. The man who would lead the invasion and subsequent occupation of Rostrog would be General William Tanners. He was a man of strong morals and high expectations. He would ensure that there would be victory for the Empire.

St. Barbara Air Base, Northern Artite
Four B-1 Lancer bombers were taxied onto the run way. Their mission was to intercept the retreating Rostrog fleet and cause as much damage as possible, in theory destroying the entire fleet and dealing a devastating blow to the Rostrog army decimating it in one fatal swoop. The B-1s were loaded up with air to ship missiles, not the traditional load out of the B-1s but the technicians modified the bomb bay to accommodate twenty two long range missiles. The lead B-1 heading this operation was called Spearhead One his fellow B-1 pilots were: Spearhead Two, Spearhead Three, and Spearhead Four.

"Spearhead One this is Control Tower Alpha Two, you are cleared to head onto strip two, how copy" The air traffic controller radioed the pilot.

"Control Alpha Two, all systems are green, I repeat all systems are green. Ready to get underway when you are, how copy" Captain Rodger "Lucky Rick" Daniels was the pilot of Spearhead One.

"Spearhead One, you are clear for take off you will be followed shortly after take off by Two, Three, and Four. Safe journey captain, see you when you get back"

The engines of the B-1 screamed out across the tarmac as it took off. As soon as wheels were up the radio was going off, with the co-pilot running system checks and making sure everything was good to go for the flight there and the return flight.

"Control Alpha Two, this is Spearhead One, we are in-flight systems check green, I repeat in-flight systems are all good, how copy?"

"Spearhead One, roger that, God speed"

War, What is it really good for?

Renata Bernardová of Grenoda was flying over to The Holy Empire of Artite to give them the news. The Armed Democratic Republic of Rodstov and Grenoda was sending weapons, Armor, Vehicles, advisers to help put down Rostrog's Imperialistic actions against the U.S.S.M. They would be re arming the Artitian Special Forces with their top line arms. This will improve the edge against Rostrog and improve relations with the Artitian people.

They here and the training team from the Second Czech Origin Rifles Division. These men were the best of what Rodstov and Grenoda had to offer. These men have 25 years of experience each plus 10 years in Rodstov's and Grenoda's Special Warfare community. These men would be able to help out the Artitian special forces and any other unit that was going to use their weapons and equipment.

Renata was also their for an other reason. She would be a civilian adviser to the crown during the fight. It was her job to make sure the king of Artite kept the Rostrog's citizens and the citizens of Artite in mind. She was also a brilliant tactician and strategist for warfare. She teaches the officers that fight for Rodstov and Grenoda and most of them become part of the many great generals before their time.

The troops of the 1st and 3rd Red Armies marched through Korvio in a parade showing off the military might of the U.S.S.M before heading out to war. News has it that Artite has already sent troops to Rostrog and Moldovoska planned on joining up with the Artitian invasion force before splitting again and heading south to attack Fort Santa Anna. The military plan was to sail to the Gulf of Rostrog and bombard Fort Santa Anna and Fort Hillmonte, two strategic forts in the southern part of the nation. The 1st Red Army would attack the province in which Fort Santa Anna was watching over and the 3rd Elite Red Army would attack Fort Hillmonte. The Jackal Battalion would head through out the region between Fort Hillmonte, Redwood, and Fort Santa Anna. Their mission is to raid and attack military establishments and convoys. Lightning IV Bombers would strike at Grimmson and batter the two forts as well, in an attempt to disrupt and destroy military battlements in the area. This was the battle plan that military leader General Oliver Gretchen came up with and proposed to President Harrison. The first mission in the war...bomb Fort Santa Anna.

Stalin Red Airforce Base, U.S.S.M

Twenty four Lightning IV(Larger Version of the Lightning I, has six engines instead of two) bombers taxied onto the run way each fully loaded to strike at Rostrog. The huge bombing campaign was called Operation: Red Strike. It would help ease the stress on the Imperial Forces of Artite while they fought in the north. The bombers all checked into the traffic control tower and were all cleared for take off, it would take about eight hours to get to their objective and on their way back they would be met with three Artitian refueling tankers and will refuel in flight, in order to make it back to the U.S.S.M. Until the Red Army had control of Fort Santa Anna, any air strikes that continue will have to happen off the Aircraft Carriers in the Gulf. The drone of the prop engines of the planes drowned out much of the other noise near the air field. Quickly one by one the bombers took off and headed off towards Rostrog. The war had started for Moldovoska and this time they were on the offensive.

VONTARIAN SEA,5 MILES FROM INTERNATIONAL WATERS BORDER...

The large Vontarian fleet cruised along on schedule.Admiral Kombayn Arbatov was in charge of the sea operation, while Colonel Vyaschaslev Stoane was in charge of the land and air operations.
The operation was rather simply, the fleet would hit the coast of Artite, the ground force would unload and set up a BOA(Base Of Operations) 4 miles inland from the coast. This base would act as a point of operations for launching attacks on Artite itself. While then navy carried out attacks all along the coast.Reinforcements would be sent to aid once Admiral Arbatov reported in that the beach landing was made and BOA constructed.
They were several hours away from the Artitian coast, the troops were taking this time to ready their equipment, while the ships crews all took time to prepare the ships for battle.Since they'd undoubtedly encounter resistance.
Most of the troops and crewmen were young, green, and oblivious to actual warfare. This would be their trial by fire.

The bombers were half way to their destination, the Rostrog Royal Navy, retreating back to the mainland. If those troops reached the mainland in time then the war would last much longer than expected. However, they were determined to get the mission done and cause as much damage as possible. As always the Imperial pilots checked in once every two hours to Artitian Air Command; command of all air units, along with satellite imaging that would help pin point incoming forces (system much like NORAD) this defense system was called the Artitian Early Warning System of Air, Land, and Sea or just EWALS (E-walls, this is how you pronounce the abbreviation). Nothing showed up on the radar or satellites just yet, though they were always watching. The Imperial Fleet carrying most of the invasion force was two thirds of the way to Rostrog they were preparing everything for the invasion. The Vatican Knights would be dropped off in the lands north of the Rostrog border and they would attack Fort Brunswick. The invasion of Rostrog needed to be fast and swift. Meanwhile the waters surrounding Artite are being patrolled constantly by both Coast Guard, Naval Warships, along with the Imperial Airforce. Also major cities with most of the country are being fortified with militiamen, Imperial Soldiers, anti-aircraft batteries, coastal batteries and the nation was essentially turned into a fortress nothing was getting in and nothing was getting out with out proper authorization. The war was in full swing.

45,000 feet Rostrog Airspace
The Lightning IV Bombers quickly dropped in altitude in order to get to effective bombing altitude. Flight leader, Captain Peter Triyovka ordered the bombardier to sight them and prepare the bombs to be dropped on Fort Santa Anna. As the formation of twenty bombers started to fly in from the south heading north towards Fort Santa Anna, they noticed a lack of anti-aircraft fire coming from the mainland. Considering it was a night operation the pilots thought that they would be seen by air patrols with night-vision capabilities or radar. However, not dwelling on the fact that there was no AA fire they started their run and dropped their bombs. Thousands of pounds of ordnance was being dropped onto Fort Santa Anna. The blackness of the land was quickly lit up with the explosions of the bombs blowing up anything that was in range. Surely leaving craters in the ground, the plumes of flames reached towards the sky then just as they had appeared smoked out leaving behind flaming and charred remains of people, buildings, and vehicles. The mission was a success Fort Santa Anna had be bombed and the Lightning IV Bombers started to turn course and head back to the U.S.S.M. Mid Flight they would refuel with Artitian fueling tankers and head back home to a heroes welcome.

OPEN SEA,140 MILES FROM ARTITE WATERS...
All of the ships weapons were ready and armed, the crews were ready.
Despite being many miles from Artite waters, they were put on high alert and in ready phase since leaving Vontarian waters. Many major players had and would be entering this conflict, and they had to be ready at all times.
The soldiers were all in their quarters resting for the potential action they would see tomorow. The aircraft on the carriers were all armed and sat ready on the decks for instant actions tomorow.
The only ones awake amongst the entire fleet were the necessary crew and personell to keep the fleet moving.
Admiral Arbatov estimated theyd be along the Artitian coast at around noon tomorow, which was why everyone was getting a good night's rest.

Fort Santa Anna, Rostrog

Just as the first bombs exploded outside the fort the anti-aircraft guns opened up, with flak and machine gun fire the night sky lit up. Though closer and closer the bombs started to explode soon gun after gun fell silent as men and beast tried desperately to find cover. Suddenly with out warning a huge explosion shook the very ground. The armory had been hit and the magazines added to the fire ball sending shrapnel all over the place. Ripping men in half from the force if they were unlucky to be close enough. Fort Santa Anna was slowly becoming a ruin however it was a bastion of the strength of the Kingdom, if it fell the moral of the nation would slowly decline. Soon the explosions ceased and the retort of anti-aircraft replaced its deafening sound. Once more the sky lit up with flak and tracer lines. Soldiers ran to and fro positions dropping off ammunition boxes for the anti aircraft guns and medics hauled wounded and dead to the base hospital. Many of the troops in the fort were veteran fighters seeing action against Artite before. However, these bombers were too slow and noisy to be Artitian planes only one nation stuck fresh in their mind. The United Socialist States of Moldovoska. As word spread that they were socialist planes bombing them they intensified the firing and soon the night sky looked like it had become day. The screech of SAMs pierced the night as they screamed off their stands towards the Moldovoskan bombers.

Sixty seven miles off the coast of Rostrog

The fleet was completely oblivious to the fact that Moldovoskan bombers were hitting Rostrog. They were keen to keeping a low profile in the early morning darkness. Admiral Gent woke up in a sweat looking around his quarters he reassured himself he was safe. Slowly dressing in his robes and walking up to the bridge(something he did often, some of his more trusted fleet officers called him the Robe Admiral). Sighing as he saw the city lights of Port Hamsteel in the far distance through his binoculars he chuckled a little, drawing attention from some of the enlisted sailors.

"We are home boys, we made it" little did he know that Artitian bombers were almost to their target...

Rofinta International Airport, Rofinta, Artite

A fighter was sent up to escort the plane to the airport where it was cleared to land.

"Alpha 02 Theta, you are cleared for landing, prepare to land in ten minutes, you are behind, Flight 0103 arriving from New Rome." the civilian air traffic controller gave the flight number to a military intelligence officer who ran the Rodstov and Grenoda flight number against allied records. It was clean.

20,000 feet above Rostrog Royal Navy

Spreadhead One flipped the switch arming the missiles that would hammer the fleet; the other three Lancer bomber pilots did the same. The entire formation of all four planes was good to go. As they cruised at about 20,000 feet approximately five kilometers from the Royal Fleet, they dropped the missiles and they burst into life as the boosters of the missiles turned on and sped towards the ships. The missiles each locked onto a separate ship. Sixty missiles arched down towards the transport ships, destroyers, battleships, and air craft carriers as they were about to deliver death. The B-1 Lancers quickly climbed in altitude to avoid being caught by left over AEGIS missile cruisers that the fleet was bound to have.

When the single jet came up to join the RGV-25 the Pilot Saluted the Jets pilot when they could see each other with their own eyes. Then the RGV-25's Pilot switched to short range radio and scanned the near by channels for the jets comm. Once received, the pilot spoke. "This is Alpha 02 Theta, This craft has VTOL Capabilities with people to see the king about the war. This is craft can put down anywhere we do not need a strip. Please Advise over."

10 MILES OFF THE ARTITIAN COAST...
The Vontarian naval force had Artites coast in their site. There were no cities or large populations on the imaging, meaning they could hopefully land the ground forces without any heavy casualties.
However, intel had suggested the Artitians had greatly enforced their coastal defenses,so they had to be cautious.
Admiral Arbatov and Colonel Stoane stood on the bridge of the "Tatyana",Arbatov's command vessel, both men were clean shaven, their hair trimmed, and their uniforms crisp.
Arbatov and Stoane looked out the bridge windows toward the visible coastline.Arbatov spoke,"I would suggest you brief your men and order them to prepare for a beach landing."
Stoane replied,"Yes,of course."He turned,leaving the bridge.
Arbatov raised his voice,"Kirilenko!Go into arrow formation. All vessels at identical speed, strong on the outer."
"Yes,Comrade Admiral!"Came the first mate's reply.
The fleet moved into positions as they cruised along,in a formation so the MEEK's,AA vessels, and aircraft carriers were surrounded by a protective wedge made by the destroyers.

The dark water of the sea surrounding the fleet was quickly lit up as the first missile slammed into a destroyer, boring its way into the ship then detonating. With the missile boring inside the ship it caused maximum damage, the destroyer swayed back and forth and flames licked the hole that was created by the missile. Soon red lights went off as sirens echoed through the whole fleet, another explosion ripped through the ocean and soon the creaking of steel pierced the morning dawn sky. Shouts of men could be heard all over the Royal Fleet, and the buzz of the AWIS gun attempting to knock out the missiles. Admiral Gent was in a panic he had no idea where the missiles were coming from and how the fleet wasn't warned of the attack. Behind the flagship a transport ship carrying around two thousand men suddenly turned into a fire ball. A missile had bored its way into the ships magazine storage and detonated. Men on fire flung themselves into the ocean below where the sharks soon greeted them. This was a terrible loss of Rostrogian life, as the crippled fleet limped towards the safety of Port Hamsteel.

After-Action Report;
8,912 sailors/soldiers/crew dead
13,410 wounded
8 ships damaged
2 ships heavily damaged
6 ships sunk

Rofinta, Holy Empire of Artite
The fighter pilot saluted back.

"You may land then at Landing Pad #B12, transportation to the imperial palace will meet you at Terminal 12, ground crews will transport you to that terminal"

After giving them the all clear the fighter peeled away and headed back to the airbase.

Artitian Coast, one hundred and two miles from New Town

Slowly the coastal guns protruded through the air and barked out towards the advancing Vontarian Fleet, twenty two 132 millimeter guns shot shell after shell at the ships. Soon the barking was accompanied by the screeching of surface-to-ship missiles their white smoke trailing into the sky flying through the air at break neck speeds towards the Vontarian Fleet. The enemy fleet was just hitting a medium size defense. One that if they put their backs into and were able to have a slugging contest with the coastal battery might have a chance at winning. However, it was all up to the Vontarians to choose whether or not they wanted to fight against combat tested imperial gun crews who had air support just under thirty five minutes away.

"Understood, Landing Pad #B12 over. " The pilot mimicked his Artitian counter part.

" This is Alpha 02 Theta to Tower. We will be landing VTOL at Landing Pad #B12 in.... 12 Minutes, Do you copy?" The pilot spoke.

The Soldiers and Renata with the gear they brought them prepared to land. Most of the soldiers were shaking others awake then organizing their gear. Then moving to the rear ramp. Renata stood and straiten her suit and picked up her Laptop bag with her files for the king and her laptop stowed away inside. She was standing at the ramp with the crew chief as the soldiers in their civilian gear got themselves organized. It was mixed. The soldiers brought one example of each man-portable weapon that was going to be used in a demonstration for the King of Artite. Each bag was lined up along the center with all opened so you could see what was inside. They didn't know the procedures for during war airline checks. However they did assume that the ground team knew of them and they would check who they were at least...

OOC: please lets slug it out, please lets slug it out. I really want to have a fight with you. Vontarian Fleet vs. Imperial Gun Crews(Coastal Battery)

The Vontarian destroyers massive guns roared as they fired a hailstorm of shells onto the coastal defenses. The AA vessels released AA missles to intercept the enemy missles. The enemy's costal guns were hitting the Vontarian ships rather hard. But were doing no serious damage so far.
Beneath the waters, the 5 Wolverine subs cruised on along toward the beach head.Unseen by the enemy. The air was filling with smoke and the blasting sounds of the massive guns.

The Lightning IV Bombers made their way back to Moldovoska, flak and tracers lighting the sky behind them. It was a great victory for the U.S.S.M, both strategically and morally. News would reach the people and many will see this victory with joy and more of the populous will begin to support the war. On the way back the pilots all checked in with one another, they had only lost two bombers to enemy gun fire. Good in the sense that only two bombers were lost, bad in the sense that Moldovoskan men were killed. The lead bomber pilot radioed to Artitian Air Command requesting refueling tankers.

The invasion fleet had finally caught up with the Artitian fleet and were heading with them to Rostrog, once there though, the Socialist Fleet will have to split with the protection offered from the Imperial Fleet to begin operations in the Bay of Rostrog.

Rofinta International Airport, Holy Empire of Artite
Several soldiers stood outside the pad waiting for the aircraft to land. When it did and the back ramp dropped they quickly went the aircraft. A big burly sergeant stood around and bellowed out instructions to the Rodstov men and women.

"Please leave all weapons on board, please take out any identification and have them ready to be shown. Any diplomats on board are to leave the aircraft and head to the right all other personnel leave the aircraft and head to the left. Please leave all luggage on board to be inspected, please leave all weapons on board." He walked around while Imperial Guardsmen checked the bags and airport authorities processed the people into the Artitian Recognition Database(A.R.D).

Northern Coast of Artite

The coastal batteries continued to slug their shells at the enemy fleet. Underwater, the unlucky submarines traveled right into the midst of an underwater minefield. This minefield was intended to prevent large transport ships unloaded their cargo or troops onto the shore. Obviously the minefield would work for submarines as well. Pillars of water suddenly grew out of the water, creating towers of water. Air support was on its way to deliver more pain onto the enemy. But it was not all one sided. On land, men raced around loading artillery and rocket launchers while plumes of earth ripped through the air. The Imperial troops on land were sustaining casualties, however they were still fully in the fight.

The Crew Chief walked to the front of the bird and sat down on a seat next to the seat to the cockpit. The two Pilots when through the systems to shutting down the engines that were now completely vertical facing upwards. Everyone else filed out except Renata who walked up to the Sargent and pulled out some sort of form. She then handed it to the Sargent.

"This men and women will not be identified, Nor will the be forced to give their identification. They are part of Rodstov's and Grenoda's Special Warfare Community. All their names are classified. If this is a problem with your government please send this up your chain of command, It outlines These men's and women's personal history and it would be the Kings Eyes Only." Renata looked at the Sargent as he inspected the very wide and thick almost envelope like piece of paper. "If this is a problem these people can wait here any fire arms on board can go into your custody wile I go with you to sort this out."

The SF soldiers stood at ease in a perfectly straight line off the left hand side. When they were asked to produce an ID they stood there and said nothing. There would be absolutely nothing that could be said or done to them to make them produce identification. The just remained quiet motionlessness and still minded.

"As you can see these men a well disciplined and have been in the military for 25 plus years they are Veterans and trained under a rigorous and unforgiving training program in the ADRRG. They are our best and sharpest soldiers, masters of covert warfare. You wont be able to get them to reveal who they are or even who they work for with in the ADRRG. It's best if I come with you." She then pulled out her pass port and diplomatic ID and handed it to the Sargent and waited for a response.

Four of the destroyers were heavily damaged, close to sinking, they broke formation, turning to head to the back.As they were pulling away, four of the end destroyers on the formation broke and went moving toward the front. All the ships continued firing away, even the fleeing destroyers rear cannons blazed away. The clear air was thick with smoke, the dark skies lit up by the blaze of the firing ship guns and shore defenses.
Twenty MiG fighters lifted off from one of the Vontarian carriers, while 10 stealth bombers rose from the other carriers deck.
The bombers speedily gained altitude, lifting up into thr clouds, while the 20 MiG's went racing toward the enemy air support.
Aboard his ship,Admiral Arbatov watched the battle,he spun around, snapping at the radio man,"Have the bombers soften up shore defenses. Also, have the Kasatkas fly low toward the far end of the beach. Also, have the skiffs launch immediately."
"Yes,Comrade Admiral!"
Outside,as the MiG's raced for the opposing aircraft, three KA-62 Kasatkas lifted off from the deck of one carrier, dropped low,and went skimming across the water.

Rofinta, Artite
Reading the form and then looking at the woman he just nodded and motioned for his troops to back down and get the vehicles ready to move out. At the the soldiers ran back to the trucks and began to pull them around. A black SUV came around to pick up Renata, to take her to the Imperial Palace.

"Your men will have to leave their weapons on board the air craft. Not my orders, Emperor Constantine's has activated Marshall Law and people seeing foreigners with weapons on our streets may be cause for concern."

Turning around the sergeant looked up at the sky as it began to darken with storm clouds, and the distant boom of thunder signalling the beginning of the Artitian Monsoon season.

Battle of the Ruby Coast, Northern Artite

The artillery and the sounds of rockets were soon joined in with the chatter of anti-aircraft fire. However, what frightened the Imperial gun crews more and more were the dark clouds coming fast from the north heading straight for them. This would be a wild battle if they had to fight in a monsoon. Sooner rather than later the sky opened up with torrential rain and loud claps of thunder and lighting piercing the sky. The Imperial Fighters had to be turned around because of the weather. The Imperial soldiers were miserable. They were fighting with everything they got against this enemy off their coast. Artillery barrages would sound off with the thunder, and the chatter of anti-aircraft sounded as the teeth of a chattering child in the cold. The tracers from the AA would disappear in the bolts of lighting. Wind pounded the shore and sea, tossing anything that was not heavy enough and the waves were crashing down on the shore with powerful and violent force. The Artitians prayed for their enemy that they may still be there in the morning. For it was never good if you died because of the weather while in a battle.

Back inside the command bunker a chopped up version of radio transmission came through to them. The 11th Detachment of the Imperial Navy was on its way to them sent from New Town. The 11th Detachment consisted of four battleships and ten heave cruisers and nine destroyers. A true naval battle was in the making right now. The biggest and perhaps bloodiest mainland Artite has ever seen before.

As Kainesia went about its daily business, little did the people know that from a Navy Facility, only 50 miles north from the coastal capital, Knight's Wall, in the north east of the country, the kainesian navy set off on a secret voyage.

The soldiers, sailors and even chefs had been expressly told that not even their families were to know of this operation. The 2nd fleet had set sail, and was bound for North Parndia. 5 Battleships sailed, the KNS Huntsman, the largest and most seasoned of the ships, led the way out to sea. The ships, their 10 Destroyer Escorts and The Pride of Kainesia, the KNSS Juggernaut nuclear submarine, affectionately known by the men as "The Bear" slipped silently below the waves. Even in kainesian waters there was radio silence, as noone would dare risk the confidentiality of this mission.

The going was good, and the weather fine, but this was unnerving for Admiral James Traynor of The Huntsman.

A superstitious man, he believed in luck, and luck was not kind to him when the weather was good. The darkness could hide him, the rain muffle the noises of pain, and the cold strengthened him, focussed him. He hoped for time to pass quickly, for not only was night his prefered time, but also because somewhere in the back of his mind, just somewhere, he was scared. He wanted this finished.

She stanched the form out of his hands when he began to read. "Did you hear me? 'Classified', 'KINGS EYES ONLY'" she spoke putting weight on each word. "or were you ignoring me?" Renata glared waiting for a response. The Special forces all now glare at the Sargent. They knew the folder in her hands were all their information, everything including their past deployment. These men and women had been put through great lengths to keep their identities secret and more than willing to kill anyone that jeopardized this even allies.

Two Vontarian ships were sinking, four were heavily damaged. The MiG's were about to engage the enemy air craft. The pounding of the massive gun batteries and cannons continued to fill the night in a continuous, deafening roar.
The stealth bombers came swarming down toward the enemy beachead from the dark clouds. The AA defenses opened up hard on them, three bombers were hit instantly, two went up in fiery blazes, the other went up in flames and went spiraling down toward the beach.
The remaining seven released twin bombs, which went whistling down toward the beach defenses.
They slammed down onto the artillery, destroying 5 enemy gun emplacements. As they made a turn 2 more were brought down by AA fire. They went up high, preparing to come down for another run.
The Kasatka choppers stopped half a mile from the beach. The twin doors on all three slid open, and 12 Vontarian sappers leapt out of each into the water.
The choppers turned back for the ship, staying low as they did.
