Background
The region of Masalia is an autonomous region in the Republic of Bratislav that holds a predominate Muslim population. The region attempted to break off from Bratislav which resulted in a bloody war(viewtopic.php?f=5&t=273947). The Bratislavian Government was able to restore order in Masalia and won the war decisively. Bratislav is a predominately Christian nation and the current President (David Albanov) and the ruling party, hold a right wing political philosophy. They are known for the emphasis of Bratislavian Patriotism and support of the strong military. The Masalian Islamist Union is a radical Islamic group originating in Masalia whose goals include the independence of Masalia and the creation of an Islamic State out of Masalia. They are particularly strong in the rural areas of Masalia.

In a recent agreement, Bratislav and its close ally Corenea hold a joint Naval base near Masalia. The two countries enjoy close military cooperation within the IFA. The President is currently at the second summit of the IFA, but upon hearing this news has made his way back to Bratislav to deal with situation.

Statement from the President of Bratislav, David Albanov

Today I stand before you on a sad day. Islamic militants have captured a military base in Masalia and hold hostage several Bratislavian Military Officers and a couple Corenean Military Officers from the Naval Base. It is to my knowledge that the Coreneans were abducting as they were entering the military base having traveled from the Naval Base, to hold consultations with our military officers. Now the Islamic Terrorists hold our military base under their control. I will be holding an emergency National Security Meeting to discuss the appropriate responses. We are putting our military and special forces on high alert. We will not negotiate with these Islamist dogs whose sole purpose is to hurt and divide our Republic. We will be in contact with our Corenean allies to swiftly resolve this crisis. We are a strong nation and we will defeat these criminals and chase them from where they came from. I have also received intelligence that these terrorists are being clandestinely supported by STO nations. I strongly condemn STO's sponsorship of terrorism. Our future actions regarding the STO will be conditioned on incoming intelligence that we receive. We ask our allies and the world community to help us in this time of crisis. The Federal States of Corenea condemned the abduction of Corenean officers in Bratislav. "We normally do not get involved in foreign areas but our officers are taken hostage and we cannot allow this to happen. We will do what we can to ensure the safety of our citizens" Minister of Defence Catherine Gawdick states. Meanwhile, there are alot of protest over this with the majority of the protesters calling for action.
"We must free the officers from the terrorists! We demand action!" Protester John Lewis from the Corenean Defence Society, a neoconservative organization states. Meanwhile, the Corenean garrison at Masalia are preparing to work with the Bratislavian forces for a propsoed rescue mission.

The Lollohian Government has announced its interests in the hostage situation which had developed in Masalia, and has announced it may send humanitarian aid to the MIU in its attempts to gain independence. However, the government has asked whether they are Sunni or Shiite Muslim, or some other sect, and suggests that it would be fairer if the region, which has apparently been troublesome for Bratislav in the past, be allowed to secede into an independent state. The Lollohian Government has ties to Hezbollah and other Shiite groups, and has said it may use its influence with these groups to free the hostages. The Government says that violence should not be attempted to take the hostages, at least for now, and that the situation be solved diplomatically.

We are deeply sorry about the recent events that have, disturbed your nation's peace. We formally condemn this Islamic radical group's behavior, and congress has officially added this Islamist Militarist group on our national list of terrorists. I seriously wish that this situation will not escalate to war, but if it does, then Amastia will support you all the way in securing peace for your nation. As of now, 2 Amastian frigates are on their way to help deescalate the situation and provide assistance to the effected nations. Now, I have a small plan that can be risky, but if successful, can rescue many men from the overrun military base. 10:00 PM, somewhere off the Bratsislavian Coast.
ANS Aklat and ANS Lempor prepare to launch two Mi-17 anti submarine helicopters, armed with gun pods, rockets, and bombs.

After arriving off the coast, the ships stop dead in their tracks. Immediately, the crewmen untie the helicopter and remove the nylon cover. Immediately following, the crew comes out. Each helicopter has 2 pilots, 1 engineer, and two marines. They board the helicopters with a speedy pace. As soon as they are situated, they start their pre-flight checks. After awhile, they turn on the engines, and bring the helicopter to life. After idling for 2 minutes, they both lift off, almost simultaneously, and head for the "hot zone". All of the Amastians wait to see what will happen. If this incident becomes hot, this will be the first armed conflict Amastia will be in since World War Two.

After flying for about 20 minutes, they start to contact the base communications. They send a very serious, and threatening message;

This is Commander BeBn Cvslf (Adam Burke) of the Amastian Navy. I command that you release the military and civilian prisoners held hostage in the base. There is no negotiation. If you want to live, you WILL release every single prisoner you have held hostage. However, if do not comply, then you will face the wraith of various navies and their entire payload. Now is the time to decide....life...or death?"

Through the young sailors telescope, he spotted a vessel. He spotted an imprinting, and read: ANS Aklat. He smiled a bit. He hustled to the bridge of the ship he was on, the GSS Spedfast aircraft carrier. Around the ship were 8 Plankton class warships. There, he found Admiral Frensde.
"Sir? The Amastians beat us here." The old admiral looked at the solider, and grinned a bit.
"Arr, those Amastio's always were a speedy bunch. Tell the Comns guy to let them know we've arrived. If it comes to it, two heads are better then one."
"Yes sir!" The solider ran from the room obediently.


Later, a Gator Type Transport/Attack helicopter started up, and took off from the Spedfast. There goal was to recon the naval base for anything that can be used as an advantage. Hopefully, the imperialists give up and conflict will be avoided. Meanwhile, the 8 warships readied there missiles and artillery, ready for a bombardment if it was authorized and necessary.

But Admiral Frensde had a feeling that was unlikely.

The drone missile strike has only softened up the building for an assault. Our actions are justified, and we will continue to monitor the situation with our UAV until it is safe again. At no point did we station boots or aircraft on the ground.
