It is the typical time for an election in The Weltenbaum. Chancellory elections usually take place every six years, however with Chancellor Jäger Gerecht's appointment as Chief Executive in 2011 an emergency election was held, electing his son, current Chancellor König Gerecht, originally elected delegate from Gottstag. This is the first election in which foreign powers' opinions will be taken into account. Elections are open for a week.
In Chancellory elections, the top five parties in the Delegacy are able to submit candidates, these five currently being the Royal Delegation Party (RDP), the Imperial Centrist Party (IMP), the National Federalist Party (NAFED), the Catholic Imperial Party (CIP), the Democratic Delegation Party (DDP). The candidates are as follows.
Chancellor Prinz König Gerecht- RDP, Right Wing- Chancellor Gerecht is a staunch supporter of keeping the government the same, and has run it in such a manner. He does also, however support increased political rights and freedoms to the people. He believes in a laissez-faire approach to the economy, with intervention to keep major industries from going under. Chancellor Gerecht is the leader of his party, having taken up the position in 2006.
Delegate Graf Kristofer Engret- IMP, Center- Appointed delegate Engret is not a centrist in the normal sense of the term, rather he prefers a mix of right and left wing policies, such as a laissez-faire economic approach, but support for the less well-off of the nation. His party believes in increased power to the Delegacy and decreased power to the Executive Council. Engret is his party's acting leader, with no official leader after their previous chairman's death.
Delegate Bernhardt Wissekindler- NAFED, Far Right- Elected delegate Wissekindler and his party believe in more democracy for the people, with everyone having a place in the country. However, they also believe in "streamlining" the country by seizing assets from both private corporations and citizens. They also believe in removing most of the Executive Council's power, as well as the Imperator's right of veto. Wissekindler is the most senior delegate of NAFED, being the treasurer.
Delegate Maximilian Schrader- DDP, Left Wing- Elected delegate Schrader is in favor of curbing the Imperator's powers, while keeping the Executive Council's, Delegacy's and Court's powers the same. The DDP believes in keeping companies within a certain limit, and stopping them from abusing the people. They also want to focus on funding of "neglected" areas, such as transport and healthcare, the environment is not a concern of any Weltenbaumic party. Schrader is chairman of his party, and hopes to at least replace NAFED as a part of the triopoly.
Delegate Archbishop Otto Ritterling- CIP, Center-Right- Elected/Approved delegate Ritterling and his party are in favor of adding the Church as a fifth (sixth, including the Imperial Diet) branch of government. They also are in favor of granting extensive rights to the people, and having the Imperator run the country more morally. Their stance on the economy is to prevent corporations from exploiting the people. Archbishop Ritterling is seen as the right hand of the party's current leader, Cardinal Franz Kitisch who is intelligible to be in the Delegacy, being a Cardinal.
