For several weeks, all attention had been on the border of Saudi Arabia, the military ready at any moment should the strike they were expecting finally come. Aerial Radar detection systems had been constantly scanning the airspace around the border, ready to signal the approach of hostile aircraft. That moment had finally come, as radar stations across the border lit up like a fireworks display as the Saud aircraft were located. Forward air bases were immediately alerted to the detection, which scrambled more than 200 various models of air superiority craft to the airspace at the border. Due to the early warning, they knew exactly where the aircraft were, as the force neared the enemy planes, while being undetected themselves.

On the ground, the massive trench systems were also alerted to the oncoming aircraft, and to expect accompanying ground forces. A full 12 divisions of Infantry were stationed at the front, and were placed on high alert. Soon, among the whistling desert wind, a faint rumble could be heard; the sound of artillery. Several seconds later, the shells impacted among the trenches--surprisingly not high in number. The 800 towed artillery pieces retaliated in kind, firing upon the smaller number of Saud artillery. Under the fall of shells, hostile tanks and soldiers could now be made out, applying simple and ineffective human wave tactics of simply rushing across the border. The hundreds of tanks and thousands of men did not expect such well entrenched Yemeni troops and Zataristani troops, the Saudis begin having the tanks advance and the men follow behind in a bid to have less casualties and more man power, The rifle being used by the thousands of Saudi Troops is the AKM rifles and they also use Beretta model 92FS pistols, as the troops and tanks begin advancing. The aircraft begin firing upon the entrenched troops, and BGM-71 TOW missiles and RPG7V’s are fired at the Syrian tanks. On the Saudi side of the border well entrenched Saudi troops begin firing artillery and mortars at the Yemeni side of the border, BM-21 Grad rocket systems are also used. The most shocking attack then begins 12 SS-1 SCUD missiles equipped with mustard gas warheads are launched at the following places.

After some time of heavy fire, the hostiles switched tactics, having the tanks advance first. Unwittingly, this helped them further, as the tanks that ran over the multitude of mines became good stationary cover. However, the troops were immediately pinned behind it and unable to move. The Yemeni tanks continued to target the hostile armor. Enemy artillery fire continued to hit the trenches, the light mortars doing little to the foremost line, but doing more significant damage to the slightly less fortified rear trenches. Several Yemeni tanks were also decommissioned by heavier artillery. Snipers in observation towers here and there along the trench began targeting upper ranks they found in the confusing mass slowly advancing before them.

Over head the Yemeni interceptors engaged the enemy aircraft, targeting the heavier bombers first, who made easy targets for the darting craft.

DS-05 was one of the 500 A-135 anti-ballistic missile systems and accompanying detection centers scattered around the country. Due to the recent outbreak of conflict, all of these centers were placed on highest alert to eliminate any missiles detected. The staff were going thorough normal routine when the detection alarm blared.
