Jallin Lamor-Alamin, Kambana-Prime Minister of Kambana
The day started like any other. I was in my office when I called out to my secretary, but I received no reply. I called again, and still no reply. I dropped my pen on the desk and began to get up when security officers stormed in and forced me back into my seat. I said nothing, I was still trying to grasp the situation. I then felt anger rise as I began to shout.
"This is treason! I am the Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Kambana!" It was then that I saw a young and handsome man walk into my office. I knew him because...he was...my son. My anger subsided and was replaced with shock.
And then I just heard him utter.
"Not anymore father."
I relaxed slightly. Now at least I know I wont be harmed. Noah sat across from me and then began to speak.
"I was willing to cooperate, but you vetoed a bill that would educate and bring our people tribal people out of the stone age and into the modern world. Denying more than 2 million Kambanan people a life above the poverty level. So, I have no choice but to take command."
I could not believe this. "Those people choose to live as they do, we cannot force them to integrate against their will. This is a democracy, Noah! The government is supposed to protect the people, not coerce them." He just shook his head and sighed.
"Father, I worked with you in the revolution. I worked for the independence of Kambana. The strength of our people. The unity of the tribes and people of our nation. And we succeeded. And I have defended you against your enemies in my Province. And I have sat by while you allow foreign corporations into our nation and work on their latest fashion clothes for a slave's wage. While you have allowed foreign interest to take priority of Kambana. You have indeed had successes in your leadership, defeating the pirates, leading independence and giving us relative stability and a functional government. But the countryside still lives like the third world and must walk miles to get water from streams because they have no running water. And city workers working for foreign companies like indentured servants." He then stopped for a few moments. And then stood up and continued.
"Do the right thing father. Do not contest this. Step down peacefully and honorably. And you will go down in Kambana history as a hero and patriot. And you will retire in peace and comfort" But he then looked at me with a confused mix of love, regret and determination in his eyes.
"But I swear it, if you fight the move of the people to civil war and set us back decades and cost thousands of lives. I will not be lenient. Just do what is right for Kambana. I will take care of the rest...father."
Several Hours later-International Broadcast
"I am Prime Minister Jallin Lamor. This morning, a movement of the people has taken place in Kambana. A wave that signaled help is needed in our great nation. That the people are suffering, and despite our best efforts, we are unable to contain the situation. I urge all Kambanans to fight for what is right, as they have always done. And to endure this period of trial. I expect the international community to accept this change. And I will now step down as Prime Minister and retire. My son, Noah Lamor, will be the new leader of Kambana and I wish him the best of luck as he guides Kambana down a prosperous future."

I was watching the news broad cast in the barracks. And it seemed more like a cry for help. I noticed that the Prime Minister blinked several times while in the broad cast. Unnaturally so, almost in code. Morse Code...perhaps. My sergeant was watching this with us and then ordered the video recorded and analyzed. Not only that, the speech held many key words. The speech was obviously forced. And the Prime Minister may not be in prison, but he is far from free for now.
I gripped my AK-103 in my lap and waited for orders. Kambana was on the brink of war. Surely others will pick up the hints and fight to restore the Prime Minister. And other military units will fight to keep his son in power. And other nations will step in as well. Only time will tell what will happen to Kambana. But this is no less than a coup, and I swore an oath to defend Kambana. And a coup is not in my job description.
