The Agent smiled at the wanton destruction miles from Washington. No doubt, Myers could hear the explosions from his bed. Now it was time to play his ace.

He pulled out his radio and called his soldiers in Maryland.

"Launch operation 1812."

On the other side of the Potomac, helicopters lifted towards the heavens and onwards to Washington as Rebel soldiers and tanks did likewise. Far less numerous than their comrades in Virginia, they wielded the element of surprise and a hope to open up another front in the siege of D.C

Virginia, 8 March 2109

*Marshal continued to stand, watching the battle raging in front of him. It seemed that the Rebels were advancing closer towards him. One of his aides ran up to him.*
Aide: "Sir, we are getting reports...Washington is under attack from Maryland."
Marshal: *He thought about this.* "Don't worry, Washington can hold it's own. I'd assume their attack would be smaller then this one. For now, let's focus on the battle here. Besides...the President hired a few, specialists, in the defense of Washington."

*When the initial attack on DC started, the defenders of the city were caught off guard. It took them a few minutes to get everything together to attack from the other side. Anti-aircraft turrets on the roofs of buildings in the city fired at the helicopters while soldiers fired down upon the advancing soldiers and tanks from the rooftops. Ground soldiers and tanks also fought against the attackers.*

*Meanwhile, at the White House, the President was taken out of his room by security guards.*
Guard: "Don't worry sir, we're taking you to a safe spot."
*As they lead the President out of the room, they passed a man who Myers didn't recognize.*
Myers: "So, are you the help I hired?"
*The Man nodded.*
Myers: "Good. It sounds like your men are going to be needed. Let's get going."
*They hurried to the Safe zone.*

As the Rebels neared the Potomac, the Agent leader sent orders to their forces fighting in the State Capitals to begin diverting their forces towards Washington. As the orders were given he stared back at the city. They didn't need much more.

"Time for some added help."

He got on the line with Imperial Agents in Washington.

"Do anything you can."

The Agents in the FEA capital only numbered a dozen men, but that didn't matter. They immediately detonated bombs in the subways and highways before going after Myers

As it seemed that the East was collapsing, the West met to decide its course of action. In an emergency session of the Imperial Senate, Prince Tarkin opened the debate with his fiery words. It was televised live internationally

"I warned each and everyone of you the dangers that existed in the East, and none believed my words. Now we may pay the price for your lack of concern. As I speak, Washington is under assault. The Myers regime is over. Even if the government can repel the attack and end the rebellion, the credibility of the FEA as the leader of Democracy is shattered. I demand a senatus consultum ultimum, to break all diplomatic ties with the Federation of East America."

*The Guards and President heard the explosions outside.*
Guard: "Let's go!"
*They began to run down the stairs. The Man held his gun in his hands. He called for his men to find and kill any Rebel nearing the White House. He followed the Guards and President downstairs. Downstairs was a secret door. The President ordered his men to look away as he opened the door. Once it was open, they made their way inside. Already in there was Prime Minister Coleman and several members of the President's cabinet. Coleman saw the Stranger and raised an eyebrow.*
Coleman: "Who's he?"
Myers: "A friend."

*As Tanner rode in his tank, he could almost taste victory. His revenge was in sight. He sent out an order, if anyone finds Myers, bring the President to him. He wanted to deal with Myers himself.*

*Meanwhile, Hill and her brother's forces advanced behind of Tanner and the Imperials. It was almost time for victory.*

The Agent smiled as he heard the news from Nevermore. Once the Imperials broke their diplomatic ties, it would force Myers to resign, and it wouldn't be long before the Emperor ruled all of America.

The Senators voted. In a surprising turn of events, 65% voted in favour of cutting ties with the East, and as the bill was a senatus consultum ultimum, it immediately came into effect.

Tarkin smiled. Once Myers left office or Washington fell, he would call a vote to intervene.

*After hours of fighting, Marshal and his men had to fall back into the city. It seemed that all was lost now. That's when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned and saw a woman standing behind him. She was dressed in a strange uniform and she spoke with an accent.*
Marshal: "Who are you?"
Woman: "Your help."
Marshal: *He suddenly realized.* "Well, I'm glad to see you could make it. It's good to be able to finally fight side by side with such a renowned force."
Woman: "Save all that for later. We've got a war to win."
Marshal: "Ok, so what have you got for us."
Woman: "Backup should be arriving, about now."
*Just as she said that, Marshal heard the hum of helicopters. He looked and saw many large helicopters move in on the city. They were not attack helicopters, but transport. As they hovered low to the ground, soldiers began to repel out of them, and from a few, descended Mechon. Marshal smiled, something rare for him.*
Marshal: "Yes, let's win this war."

As the Rebels inched closer to Washington, with a few platoons breaking into the city, the Agent was disturbed to see reinforcements arriving, and even more perturbed to see they were using Mekhon.

"This cannot be; they cannot have our technology!"

*The reinforcements and Mekhon met up with the American soldiers. Marshal and the Woman began barking out orders to their soldiers. Once the soldiers and Mekhon had their orders, they began moving out to engage the enemy. Marshal turned to the Woman.*
Marshal: "So, do you have a name?"
Woman: "Yes. You may call me Natalia."
Marshal: "Last name?"
Natalia: "You American's would butcher it."
Marshal: *He smiled and rolled his eyes.* "Why do Eurasians always try to keep everything so secret?"
*Natalia shrugged and watched the battle.*

It soon became clear to the Agent that the battle would be over soon. However, he was not finished with the FEA. He pulled out his radio for one last order.

"Kill Marshal and kill Myers. I want the leadership of the FEA gone."

The Agents, receiving their orders, split into two teams. Team A moved swiftly to find Marshal and his staff and Team B laid low, waiting for Myers to reveal himself.

*Tanner froze as he saw the Eurasian Mekhon move towards his forces. Those bastards had gotten the Eurasians to help them? He called into his radio.*
Tanner: "Don't stop fighting men! We are so close to victory! Do not be afraid! We will still win!"

*Meanwhile, Marshal and Natalia stood watch. Eurasian soldiers stood guard around them.*
Marshal: "We should get to safety. I'd like to see how the President is doing."
*Natalia nodded.*
Natalia: "Yes, this battle should be over soon. Let's go."
*She nodded to her soldiers and they began to move.*

Strike Team A moved into position. They saw the FEA Commander standing with a Eurasian woman. The sniper smiled as his spotter gave him to okay. He fired his shots at Natalia and Marshal.


Nevermore, Imperial Republic of America

Hours after the declaration that the Imperial Republic had cut diplomatic ties with the East, the Senate was again called in. Tarkin needed control of the Senate vote if he were to annex the FEA and so he had his cronies working. They called for a vote of no confidence against the Speaker of the Senate, and to Tarkin's glee, the Senate voted in favour. An emergency vote to elect a new Speaker began, and not surprisingly, Tarkin was elected.

*The bullet went through Marshal's leg. He let out a cry and fell down. Natalia bent over and looked around.*
Natalia: "Снайпер! Держите рядом! Давайте спешить!"
*The Soldiers surrounded her as she brought Marshal to his feet. They moved to the nearest building, avoiding any fire that came across them.*

*Meanwhile, in the Safe Zone, the Man got word from above.*
Man: "Mr. President, it would seem that my men have begun their support. Washington should be free within a few hours."
Myers: "Thank you. You and your men are doing the world a great favor. When this is all over...I'll give you the highest award I can give to you."
Man: "Thank you Mr. President." *He looked worried. He knew that they should be able to win the battle, but he was never quite sure anymore."

*Tanner watched in horror as his forces were beaten back by the Eurasians. How could this have happened? Something wasn't right about this. They should have known the Eurasians were there. Hill came up to his tank.*
Hill: "Will! Come on! We've got a fix on Myers! If we can't win this battle, we can at least get our revenge!"
*Tanner looked at her, then nodded.*
Tanner: "Alright, let's go." *He got out of the tank and followed her and her men to where she said Myers was.*

Team A continued to fire at Marshal and Natalia as they moved from location to location. Meanwhile, Team B continued to wait for Myers to reveal himself before they finished his off.

*Natalia, Marshal, and the Eurasians made it into the building and found shelter. Marshal was bleeding pretty badly out of his leg. She looked him over. She was worried he wouldn't make it. They needed to get to safety.*
Natalia: "Борис, Дмитрий, Юрий, мы должны получить его в безопасное место. Перейти найти врачом и привести его сюда быстро!"
*The soldiers nodded and went off, leaving them with a few soldiers to protect them. Natalia could defend herself, she could hold her ground till help arrived.*

*Myers and his group stayed in their room. Everyone was nervous, the doors could protect them...at least that's what they thought. They were sitting around, when they heard movement outside the door.*

*Tanner, Hill, and her soldiers entered into the building. It was dark in the building, the power was out. They moved downstairs. There was a large, metal door in front of them.*
Hill: "This is it, Myers is through there."
Tanner: "How do we get in?"
*Hill smiled.*
Hill: "Leave that, to me." *She grabbed something out of a pocket. Tanner looked at the object, but couldn't make it out. She held it up to a scanner, which scanned the object. Tanner heard the door hiss and it slowly began to open. It was then that he noticed she held an eyeball in her hand.*
Tanner: "Alright, let's end this." *The door slowly opened. When it opened, he saw a man standing against the wall. A bag was over his head. Something was wrong. He moved toward the man. As he got closer, he noticed it. The man was nailed to the wall. He slowly took off the bag. He couldn't believe what he saw, it was Larson. What was going on? It was only then that a dark realization came over him, and it was at that moment that he felt a fiery pain in his back. He couldn't move, the pain got worse and worse. He then heard a soft voice whisper in his ear...it was Hill.*
Hill: "Quoth the Raven, Nevermore." *She removed the knife from his back and he fell onto the cold ground. When he looked up, he saw that her hair had changed to a long blond. Her eyes were now a deep blue. She smiled and nodded to her men. She began to walk back up the stairs as the men held their guns and fired at Tanner.*

Team A had a lock on Marshal and Natalia's position and moved towards the building. They cut the power to the building and entered, searching for their prey.

Strike Team B continued to hunt for Myers.

Nevermore, Imperial Republic of America

The Emperor was in his office overlooking papers regarding the virtual civil war in the FEA. Against his wishes and power, the Senate has cut off ties, and as things were standing, he would be forced to intervene. However, something was troubling him; his Agents in the East have gone dark, and there were odd reports that the Eurasians were in Washington. Something wasn't right. He called his secretary.

"Get me documents on all of our Agents in the FEA and a catalogue of all of our weaponry."

*Hill walked up the stairs. She looked at herself in her pocket mirror.*
Hill: "Hmm, perhaps I'll have to be blond more often." *She paused.* "Where is my radio?"
*One of her men handed her the radio.*
Hill: "I should think that you should have given me this without me asking." *She rolled her eyes and began to speak into the radio.* "Alright Raven's, Tanner is taken care of. Move forward with Operation Trident."
*She handed the radio back to the soldier and they went on their way.*

*After they got the message from Hill, the Raven's who had been fighting with the Rebels, turned on their former allies. They fired upon the rebels, surprising the Rebels. Now the Rebels were surrounded, it was turning into a mass killing.*

*Down below, the door was opened and a soldier entered.*
Soldier: "Mr. President, the Rebels are falling back. They are being destroyed by the Eurasians and Americans. The day is won."
*Myers let out a sight of relief. It seemed to be over...for now.*

*Natalia and her remaining soldiers remained hidden. They had night vision goggles, but the dark just made everything more difficult. She waited for the rebels to move toward them.*

Team A had moved to the floor under Marshal. The leader nodded. They pointed their rifles up and opened hell.

Of the Imperial Agents trapped, rather than risk being taken alive, they committed suicide by detonating themselves, killing anyone nearby

Tarkin got the message from Washington. The battle was nearly over, but that didn't matter to him now. The FEA was revealed to be unstable, and now with him in control of the Senate, he would be able to move quickly to annex the East.

*The gun shots surprised Natalia. Thankfully her and Marshal were unhurt, but her remaining men were killed. She swore to herself and moved back farther against the wall with Marshal. Where were her men? Why were they taking so long?*
*Down below, the Eurasians returned with a Medical officer. They moved quietly through the darkness. They had heard the gun fire. They quietly made their way towards the sound of the guns. Once they arrived, they opened fire on the attackers.*

The Team returned fire for several minutes, but realising the futility of the battle, detonated their bombs, killing themselves.

*The blasts killed one of the Eurasians, however, the others, including the doctor, were alright. They called out for Natalia and made their way upstairs. The Doctor began work on Marshal, slowly the bleeding and numbing his body. He would be alright, for now, but he required better attention. As they walked outside, they could see that the battle was over. The Rebels were all being killed or rounded up. Eurasian and American jets flew over head. The day was theirs.*

*Hours later, when it was deemed safe, the President and his cabinet left the Safe zone and moved back up to the surface. A General walked towards Myers and saluted him.*
General: "Mr. President, the remaining rebels have been taken into custody sir. We also found Tanner's body. There's no sign of the woman sir."
Myers: "Keep looking. I don't want any rebels roaming the streets."
General: "Yes sir."
*The Eurasian Man walked up the Myers.*
Myers: "I can't thank you and your people enough. You won this for us. We are forever in your gratitude."
Man: "Thank you Mr. President."
Myers: "By the way, I never got your name."
Man: "My name is General Stanislau Litvinchuk sir."
Myers: "Ah! Litvinchuk! I've heard about you! Yes, thank you once again General, I'm sure President Rostov will reward you greatly for your service."
*Litvinchuk gave a half smile.*
Litvinchuk: "Of course, Mr. President."

Team B saw Myers speaking with a Eurasian general. The spotter smiled and gave the order to fire. The sniper fired three shots in quick succession. Not checking to see if they were successful, the team blew themselves to hell.

*Two of the bullets went through Litvinchuk's back. He let out a scream and fell to the ground. He winced in pain as he crawled to safety. When he got somewhere that he thought he would be safe, he looked for the President. It was then that he saw him. Half of his face looked at Litvinhcuk while the other half sat in a pool of blood. It was then that he noticed the blood pouring out of the President's neck. People were screaming and running around. They surrounded the President, and that was the last thing Litvinchuk saw before he blacked out.*

Tarkin received his final report. The Battle of Washington was over, and the Rebels in the South were being decimated without leadership. He sighed. Either way, he was already on his way to intervening in the East. Within a few days the Senate would be called again, and he would move to invade.

Washington DC, FEA. 9 March, 2109

*The next day, Litvinchuk woke up in a hospital. He heard screaming, and moaning all around him. He sat up and looked out the window. It was actually a very beautiful day. The sun was shining and a few white clouds moved slowly along the blue sky. He saw the trees move in a gentle breeze. It was funny he thought, such a beautiful day after having just seen a terrible one. It was then that he noticed Natalia sitting next to him.*
Litvinchuk: "What happened?"
Natalia: "You were shot. Twice in the back. You're lucky you're not dead. The doctor said that one of the bullets just missed your heart."
*He tried to sit up, but it hurt too much.*
Litvinchuk: "What about Myers?"
*She shook her head.*
Litvinchuk: "We should have stayed downstairs."
*Natalia looked around. She wasn't good at comforting people.*
Natalia: "Rostov wants us back in Moscow in three days. You'll obviously be staying here for a while."
*The nurse walked in.*
Nurse: "Do you need anything Mr. Litvinchuk?"
Litvinchuk: "No, thank you."
*The Nurse nodded and left.*
Natalia: "Stanislau, you did your best. Please don't take his death to hard...You've already got too much pain."
*Litvinchuk just sighed*
Natalia: *She patted his shoulder.* "I'll see you in Moscow."
*She picked up her hat and walked out. The Nurse watched her leave. Her dark blue eyes following Natalia as she moved into another room. In the other room was Marshal. He sat in a chair, looking out at the city.*
Natalia: "General Marshal?"
Marshal: *He looked and smiled.* "My friend. I never thanked you for saving me."
Natalia: "You don't have to. I just came to say goodbye. I'll be leaving soon and I didn't think I'd be able to stop by any other time. How's your leg?"
Marshal: "Oh it's fine. I'll have to use a cane the rest of my life...but I've been through worse. I'm sure my wife will hate it, but whatever."
Natalia: *She smiled.* "Good. Well, it was an honor to serve with you. I don't think I'll ever have the honor again."
Marshal: "Maybe we'll meet up again some time."
Natalia: "Maybe." *She nodded and walked out.*

The next morning was news of the Battle of Washington reached all throughout the Empire, including the death of Myers. Public opinion quickly turned against the FEA as it appeared the government had lost all control of its people. With the cutting of diplomatic ties, under Tarkin's order as Minister of War the border was shut down and troops mobilised to defend it.

The Senate had convened as well, for a new vote. The new Speaker opened the Debate and one of Tarkin's supporters rose and gave a long and impassioned speech. At the end, he concluded with desire.

"The FEA is no longer a safe neighbour. They have killed their leader in cold blood and the South has risen up against the Government. Unless something is done quickly, the Rebels could move into our lands and threaten our security. Ceterum censeo Oriens esse delendam."

There was some nodding in approval. In a close vote, the Senate passed its second Senatus Consultum Ultimum and plans would be drawn up from the Ministry of War to invade the East.

The Emperor received notice of the Senate's Final Decree moment after it was passed. Maximilian sighed, as he had no power to stop a Senatus Consultum Ultimum. The Grand Vizier was also distressed.

"Your Imperial Majesty, I fear Tarkin is moving to annex the East."

"What you speak of is treason on the part of His Eminence. You know full well what the consequences of such a charge would mean on the Minister of War."

"I know full well, Caesar, but I speak only for your well being and the well being of the Imperial Republic. Tarkin means to bring all of America under our heel, and although now he is only Speaker, I fear if his war is a success, he will move to pass another Final Decree to become the Grand Vizier."

"Bring Minister Smith to me. There is much I need to discuss with him."

"As you wish, Caesar."
