A brief moment of victory. Multiple men raised their hats in cheers, only to have their bodies pelted by debris as nearby buildings were obliterated by artillery fire. Taking cover, the Expeditionary Force surveyed their losses with a note of sadness.

“I was just supposed to do some police work, man!” exclaimed a new recruit to his comrade, clutching his helmet tightly on his head with both hands. “Just some police stuff, you know! Patrols, detain some rebels! This is a war!”

Giving the recruit a solid jab to the shoulder, his comrade shouted at him with authority. “Get it together! Do you want to leave this place alive, comrade? Beaudreau will get us out of here, but not if you sit here pissing yourself!”

Thrusting the recruit’s rifle back into his hands, he waited to see the recruit nod timidly.

Captain Beaudrau fired two handgun shots into the air, getting the attention of the defenders from Cardais. “Into the helicopters! We have won this day, comrades, for each of our dead is accompanied by scores of their own!”

Quickly assembling into the transports, the troops were silent, few of them feeling the glory and valiant, decisive victory they’d hoped to achieve.

Jacob couldn't stand. His legs were hurt to the worst part. Blood flowed from them, and he held it in pain. He couldn't hear over the helicopter blades, but he knew he might be left there. He cried for help, crawling towards the helicopter. He hoped someone could hear.

Meanwhile, from the Bunker, a secure place no one knew about, Führer Matthew Andrews sent this message to the country:

Greetings, fellow members of HRA. Today is a sad day. Today is a day filled with doubt, horror, and pain. Over 10,000 people have died from terrorist and insurgent actions, and the biggest icons in our nation have fell. And now, I fear more blood will be spilt. I have been forced to declare Martial Law to crush the rebellion, and restore order. Until later,

“How many men did we leave down there, Belgard?”
“Six thousand. Mostly infantry, the Grenadiers came through relatively unscathed, and les Coureurs... Those guys scare me, I’m pretty sure they’re all still here.”
“Six thousand!” the officer exclaimed, “the rebels will pay for every drop of blood, Belgard. If I personally execute every last one of them, I will sleep more soundly than I’ve ever slept before.”
“I know how you feel, but, we were really right in the shit. I believe this battle to have been a tactical victory, as the rebel forces have been thoroughly reduced in number.”
The officer looked out the window, his eyes tracing around each blue uniform left behind in the horror and debris below. “Tactical victory...”

Jacob watched in horror as the helicopter took off, leaving him to fend for himself in the city. It was being overrun with Rebels, and he had to get out. Slowly, he crawled into the Government building, getting what he could from the dead bodies. Before the sun had set, he was fully armed.

Carefully, he examined the wound. He deduced that by tomorrow, he should be able to walk, and will be able to run, even with all the gear. Night was falling, and the rebels chanted the new leaders name, a name called Quackenbushia. It referenced a nation, not a name, but he didn't know what to think of it. All he knew was that these rebels had to be stopped, and now, he would be the only one doing it.

As the Muscovite bombers received the coordinates from the troops on the ground, they altered course to move toward it. The Muscovite pilots were confident in their ability to crush any foe, as the Muscovites and their Soviet predecessors both had a long history of excellent piloting skill and histories of aerial victories. They had large loads of high power explosives stored and intended to assure no survivors went from the terrorist positions. The General in charge of the air expedition was General Ivan Peters, and was was personally flying the lead plane and giving tactical commands to the rest of the air fleet.

2. All servicemen in all branches of the Cardaisien Armed Forces will sign a written agreement to abide by the rule of law while operating within the HRA, and to hold themselves personally responsible for any breaches of the law.
3. The Federal Republic of Cardais will subsidize the reconstruction of buildings damaged or destroyed by rebel forces within the HRA, and will issue 0% Interest loans to the government of the HRA from the First Republican Bank of Cardais to aid in the process of recovery.
4. The 1er Force Expéditionnaire de Cardais (1FEC), currently being organized for peacekeeping operations in Kitaya, will be disbanded and reformed into divisions for use in the HRA.

Then the admiral sent a notification saying the mission was a ago. CT. Hayes got in a fully loaded Black Hawk with 11 people in it. The Black Hawk then sped off towards its destination. It was equipped with the usual and mini guns. The soldiers were equipped with a range of weapons from SCAR-H's to M-60's. Then a timmy soldier from the heli radioed Jacob, "Jacob, do you come in?"

Not a single Rebel had dared to enter the compound, though, and he was safe. For now. And he heard a Helicopter saying something. Jacob decided to answer.

"Imma hearing you, Hayes, but I'm not seeing you," Jacob responded into his radio. The rebels took notice to the helicopter, and were getting ready. He heard a noise, like a hiss. "Clear the skies, boys. Somethings coming your way!"

Then the BlackHawk retreated some then it was postioned then the miniguns were active they were aimed at the rebel postions and started firing nonstop at them.
