Official Diplomatic Communiqué
Republiek van Segslend | Alpublika ya Sakkad | Theocratic Republic of Segland
To: Nations of the World
From: Jacob Ramsey, President of the Theocratic Republic
As the President of the Theocratic Republic of Segland, it is my solemn duty to inform the international community of a newly-instated declaration of foreign policy that has become known as the Ramsey Doctrine. This doctrine introduces a new policy completely unknown to Segland up until now, and I am quite sure that it will entail prosperity.
The essential idea of the Ramsey Doctrine is to snuff out unworthy secular states while furthering the glorious and righteous ideals of the Consologist Revolution, an uprising that must be brought to every corner of the world.
In a world where heretical secularism is spreading at an alarming rate, clearly a work of the Beast, nations who support the immutable concepts of theocracy must come together in fellowship, regardless of religious beliefs. For there is no way in which we can repel the secular threat without helping each other.
The doctrine makes it well-known that the Theocratic Republic:
- Will not tolerate state atheism;
- Will not tolerate persecution of religious persons;
- Will intervene if said persecution becomes problematic;
- Will not tolerate heresy, blasphemy, sacrilege, or apostasy;
- And will sever ties with nations that are deemed detrimental to the overall righteousness of the Theocratic Republic.
A full copy of the doctrine is included below, as approved by the National Consultative Assembly and declared godly by the Curia.
Yours in God,
Jacob M. Ramsey
President of the Theocratic Republic of Segland
A statement of policy from the President of the Theocratic Republic of Segland
The Ramsey Doctrine
To the National Consultative Assembly and the Curia
Authored by: Jacob Ramsey, President of the Theocratic Republic
Through the respectable aspirations of the Consologist Revolution and its worldwide counterparts, the Theocratic Republic of Segland seeks to further the Revolution and ensure that the Church may secure its views, beliefs, and influence through intervention and new diplomatic policy. The only way to achieve this is to protect and continue the righteousness of the Republic, an inviolable tenet of Seglandic piety. This Doctrine shall realize the dreams of the High Clerk and the millions of Consologists who so valiantly rebelled against the oppressive apartheid-supporting regime that preceded the institution of the Republic.
Therefore, in all ways, shapes, and forms, the Theocratic Republic of Segland hereby condemns state atheism. With the understanding that a nation can only succeed with the guiding hand of God, as specified numerous times in the Holy Codices, we must end the perverted thing that is state atheism, both for the good of Segland and for the good of the affected nations. If this vile practice is allowed to continue, surely the entire world will be infected in due time. But if the idea of state atheism is wiped off the face of the planet, all nations can enjoy prosperity and success under God, His Divines, and the Beacon. For the Beacon has a plan for all of us, and that plan is yet to be revealed. We do know, however, that the only way to achieve perfection is to not be of the world, for the world hates us. Through this belief, we are at liberty to freely condemn and commend nations that deserve recognition, whether for good or evil. This Doctrine does, admittedly, advocate interventionism, but we acknowledge that as the only legitimate way to spread the virtuous Consologist Revolution.
Assuredly I say to you, the Republic shall not stop at that. We also condemn any persecution of those who openly admit their religiosity. This should be an assumed stance that all true nations adopt, as the intolerance of religion is a sign of a corrupt and bankrupt intellect. Not only that, but it shall give way to nothing but the collapse of religious society, the only pillar that upholds virtue and eradicates all vices. This is an intrinsic responsibility of the Republic. If we permit our brothers to be slaughtered by ruthless dictatorships, we are no more righteous than the dictatorships. Therefore intervention is an inherent subsequent action to be taken by the Theocratic Republic of Segland, as shall be elaborated upon in the next statement.
When persecution of those who admit their religiosity becomes a problem, that is to say, religious persons are being tortured, arrested without trial, or executed, the Republic shall make use of its right to intervene. Ignoring any sort of immoral condemnations by other nations, we will liberate our brothers in piety from their captors. It is through God that we will most certainly accomplish our meritorious goals, for if God is with us, no one can defeat us. There will be no mistreatment of Consologists, or any other believing people for that matter, because it is a violation of both human rights and the Holy Codices. Let it be known that the Republic shall not, under any circumstances, allow religious persecution in other nations.
Separate from the sin of persecution, there are the sad yet common practices of heresy, blasphemy, apostasy, and sacrilege. The aforementioned practices shall only be held against verified Consologists. The Doctrine defines heresy as speaking against the teachings of the Church; it defines blasphemy as the misuse of the name of God, the name of the Divines, or the name of the Beacon; it defines apostasy as the abandoning of belief in Consology without the proper allowance of the Church; it defines sacrilege as the mistreatment or theft of any items within church buildings that belong to the Church or to God. These four things are several of the worst sins of Consology, and they must be punished strictly and without mercy. For mercy given to those who break the highest commandments of Consology is mercy undeserved. If registered and verified Consologists in other nations commit these unlawful practices, they must be sent back to the Theocratic Republic of Segland for official examination by the Inquiry on Heretical Perversity, an office of the Church of Consology. If found innocent, said persons will be returned to their nations of residence. Yet if found guilty, it will be requested that they are incarcerated.
The final declaration of this Doctrine is that the Theocratic Republic of Segland will, without hesitation, sever all diplomatic ties with nations it views as detrimental to the overall righteousness of the nation. In verse 21 of the 7th chapter of the book of 1 Jawael, it is stated that the holiness of all Consologist nations must be preserved in order to remain righteous in the eyes of God. If we are not righteous in the eyes of God, we are no better than any other nation of the world, and we are then part of the world. The purpose of this declaration is to ensure that the Republic does not become part of the world, unlike many other theocracies that have fallen prey to immoral and heretical practices.
The Republic hereby requests that all theocratic and religious nations of the world come to its aid in these turbulent times. With the support of our brothers and the commendation of God, we cannot fail in anything that we do. Praise the Lord.
Amen, amen, and amen.
Signed,
Jacob M. Ramsey
President of the Theocratic Republic of Segland
