The carriage rolled through the Fuurturrian planes. the Stovilian was tied to his seat. Dominics Deputy (who shall just be referred to as the Man) was idally spinning a dagger around his fingers.
'So, Stovilian. what can your country possibly offer Greater Isolatonia?'

The man sighed and shook his head.
'sir, do you know of Isolatonian culture? Social welfare is not something that we value very highly. Your 'helpfulness' will only be useful if you are willing to fight for our country.'

The Ambassador has arrived at Phaedrial to discuss a treaty between Midrasia and Phaedrus, ambassador Ralof approached the foreboding oak doors to the throne room, waiting for the guard to open it and enter onto his audience with the queen.

OOC: I shouldn't think you'd have social welfare, since we're just leaving the age of hardcore feudalism...

" Who said anything about 'social welfare'? What is social welfare for that matter? I simply meant that Stovilium has a developed education system and basic heath developments, for example we know not to smear infections with fecal matter. Also how can you fight a war with no weapons? No war animals and no basic materials to build things such as bridges? You don't recognize the benefits of having someone who can supply you with things? I am not saying that Stovilium will not be able to help you with any issues... Do you have any pressing issues?" He looks around "Where is my horse by the way?"

'The horse was given to your men. for weapons, we have engortia. For wood and materials, we have the empire. Animals also come from the empire. Is there anything else that you can offer?' asked the man

"Depends. lets try it another way. What do you need? You can always use more men for example.I doubt you think that you can have too many items to offer, and i doubt you will want Stovilium supporting any Titanists. Actually what is the issue with Titanism, I have not heard much of your problems with them"

A large group of masked individuals would spring forth and attack the Phaedren men, in an even short time another ambush is launched were assassins leap from their hiding places, behind rocks, in tall desert grass, and swiftly put down the bandits with relative ease.
"We saw you coming a mile away, as did these bandits it seems. But you need to see Anserton? Yes, we can take you...but you know...I might have forgotten the way...If only there was something to...jog my memory?" Says a scruffy looking man, veiled and wearing ceremonious looking robes and twirling a pair of daggers, which he had recently retrieved from a bandits face, as he eyed up the soldiers and looked over their possessions.
"I do remember gold to be an almost miracle cure for my bad memory."

In The Guildhouse of the violet hand...

"So you wish for us to be allies? Hmm... It seems that everyone wants to be friends with us now doesn't it? We already have these fine Templar men looking after us and rumour has it that more men are coming to visit me, and don't be surprised that word has already reached me, I have eyes and ears all over this desert. Nothing can get past me here. But...what could you offer me that the Templars aren't already providing, and don't say "manpower" because they have more, and that's the easy answer. In fact..." Says Anserton pacing up and down the hall, before clicking his fingers and several men positioned around the room would grab the men and put them to their knees as Anserton draws a find dagger, curved and with an ebony blade, "Why shouldn't I kill you now?"

"Firstly because we would probably kill a lot of people in this room before you kill all six of us. Do not take our niceness as a weakness, you should know that just because we are kind it does not mean that we wouldn't hesitate to kill any one of you, as you would to us. Stovilians are known for their abilities to make judgement off first impression and we naturally do our best to make a good one ourselves." He replies.

"So you want to know what we can offer that the Isolatonians have not already? Well the Isolatonians are offering an army, but they do not appear to be offering anything else, which makes this a little easy. We have woods, stone, coal, gems, tools, roads, marble, rare animals, precious metals and an general usefulness. Take your pick. now if you wish to kill me and my friends here, which Im sure you do, you won't just be sacrificing all that, but you can be damn sure that it will be given to your other desert friends instead. Also it appears that your citizens are in a poor state, no education, most dying from easily preventable deaths. Unlike your friends we are pretty much experts at curing basic illness and providing education."

In the desert:
'So, you like gold? Here. That's... what, erm... 87 gold? We thank you greatly for the assistance, but we may need medical assistance. We thank you for saving us, but we need to get to your base of operations, ASAP!'
n.b. Phaedrans count in duodecimal, so it's actually 103 gold.
Meanwhile...
'A messanger, hm? Send him in.' The guards allow the Midrasian into the chamber. 'So, you seek an alliance, yes? Well, I see how I could benefit your nation, but what do I have to gain? Impress me, Midrasian.' She reclines into her throne, and clicks her fingers to summon a slave with drinks.

Dave the Stovilian gulped. he was on his knees in a large chamber in front of a throne. a man sat on the throne, surrounded by armoured templars and engortian assassins.
'so,Dave.' said Dominic with a smile. 'you wish to talk alliance? well, i am afraid that i will have to decline, though i have nothing against Stovilia. i propose we trade, but keep it at that.'

meanwhile, in Delsola, a man is escorted into the Lord Protectos courtroom. He is forced to his knees.
'my lord, i have come to tell you that The Isolatonian Empire will soon be waging war on Kassius and Prine Dominic would appreciate it if you do not intervene. In return, he will allow, over ten days, as many Titanists to leave Isolatonia that want to. He knows that both you and he have no love of their presence in Isolatonia.

"Oh with an alliance with Midrasia, victory is not the only thing you will receive." Ralof beckons his bodyguard who carries in a chest, full of rubies, emeralds and mountains of gold. "We will also give you 50% of the gold pillaged by The Holy Order in their nordic conquests. Also Midrasia will fully support Phaedrus in any conflict against Dolorem. I suggest we honour this alliance by first attempting to reclaim Copius Malum for The Phaedran Empire. What do you say?"

The man smiled. 'It has been hundreds of years since the templars were banished rom Midrasia, your majesty. We are a much more developed people now and have nothing against the Midrasians. We are sending diplomats all over Asura to secure trade and in some cases, alliance. we do not feel that you would wish to ally us, as some old wounds may still hurt, but we would be honoured if you would agree to sign a non agressive pact and trade with us.'

Meanwhile, in the foundry district of Hysterium, the chief Smith was given the plans and weapons from Engortia.
'In the name of Harzak! (God of blacksmiths) These weapons will revolutionise our army!'

"Who said anything of an alliance with you Isolatonia? Although we have nothing against isolatonia itself Stovilium would like to keep away from Empires, unless a second nation pre allied with it requested so. Considering not much of this is happening. Besides, we have no trade routes. If you want any you can ask."

OOC: Dave did not gulp, for he is without fear. however he tends to be flatulent when hungry.

Meanwhile...
"So guildmaster, what do you say? We are willing to give you support when it comes to materials among other things, is there anything you need in specifics?"

'I would think that you would be more polite to a prince. you are lucky i am not having you killed. Isolatonia needs more metal and timber. could you provide?'

"You won't be taking anyone down with you without these..." Says Anserton as he laughs to himself and waves the scouts weapons in front of them, "So arrogant, next time make sure you know where your weapons are before threatening someone, especially before threatening me." Anserton clicks his fingers and one of the scouts is beheaded with an enormous sword, curved and covered in exotic symbols, "Such impudence will not be tolerated, you worthless foreigner. Guards take the rest of them to the dungeons, I will decide their fates later."

In the harsh Engortian desert...

"It's worked! I completely remember where our Guildhouse is now! If you fine gentlemen would just follow me and we will be there shortly." Says the scruffy looking man.

Only a few hours later and un-bearable heat and multiple attempts on the lives of the group they eventually reach the guildhouse. The man swaggers to the door and pushes them wide open and puts his hands on his hip and swaggers further down the hall to the throne where Anserton is telling the executioner to have his blade cleaned.
"Guildmaster, some more men are here to see you." The scruffy man bows as he says this although his robes are ragged and is trying to hide the gold he had pilfered from the men.
"Good work, you may even be in for a promotion." Says Anserton looking past the man at the Phaedrans, "But next time bring them faster. So what would you fine men like?" Says as a loud shouting is heard from a door to the right of the hall, "Don't mind that..."

Dominic nodded approvingly. not many men could withstand such a punch. it would make up for the
Stovilians lack of an apology.
'we have industry. we can trade tools and weapons as well as money. lots of money.'

Meanwhile, in Engortia the Commander of the Isolatonian garrison says to the Phaedrans, 'ah! the forefathers ofthe Isolatonians! I would also like to discuss diplomacy with you. we respect strong nations!'

At the sight of one man dying the other scouts begin to fight back, slowing attempting to make a break for the exit, with the captain punching the beheading guard in the throat before making a break for it. A futile attempt but a close one, as a scout makes it out of the room with a minor injury before the captain and a final scout are finished off by the remaining guards.

Meanwhile...

"Quill should be back now... We will have to assume the worst, get someone to anyone who can help, offer them anything and everything to avenge them" Scouts are sent to every major nation and to the city states.

Meanwhile...

"My apologies prince, I did not mean to be so rude. Please accept this as forgiveness. He just manages to pull out a pouch of gold from his pocket and drops it on the floor. (OOC: the restraints are preventing him from moving well) We could always use technology in Stovilium. If you need wood we are the people to supply you with it. Metal is our thing but to a lesser extent. We are more than happy to begin trading as soon as I get back to Stovilium and tell them the good news."

A scream of pain and then silence would be heard as the archers and gunmen finish off the escaped scout. (OOC: Also Ryan you can't just go: Wait I godmod, my leader knows what has happened to his people.)
"Prepare the siege engines, I believe we may have more visitors, unwanted visitors." Say Anserton, strapping on a pauldron and having another assassin strap his breastplate on. Men would run to the city walls and help push cannons and ballistas to the wall and load them. After Anserton is finished donning his armour he is handed a long, intricate sword and dagger, along with a small crossbow, use-able in one hand.
"They can't surprise me now."
