This is a canon story that is taking place, something in which I hope everyone can join and enjoy. If all goes to plan, then this will be a success. so I guess you can start signing up here and I'll start looking into your apps as soon as possible.

Background:
At the beginning of this year, Symphonian military officials had became increasingly hostile to the central government because of perceived cuts to spending on the military and futher alienation between the civil leaders and the generals over foriegn policy. In retaliation, they played a coup d'etat on the Symphonian government, arresting the majority of the members of the government who supported the then-ruling Monarchs Lelouch and Sora before forcing the the Twin Emperors to effectively hand over power to the military leaders.
It wasn't long before the nobility caught wind of this, and they also successfuly forced the central government to grant them near autonomous powers by siding with the military. In effect, the central government was left powerless as the military-aristocratic alliance stripped it of its power and established a new government in a military-controlled city called Numenoria, in southern Symphonia. The central government, or rather what was left of it, remained in Symphony while the Kiramashi Imperial Family retreated into their stronghold of Skyview. Everyone hoped that something would turn in favor of the old leaders, but the newly- created Seong Shogunate had already sunk its hooks far too deep into the ground for anyone to pry it off.
So when the Kiramashi decided to take legal action in a Seong court that seemed to be in their favor, the Shogunate moved quickly and called for a forced recall of all the nation's diplomats on trumped up charges, at the same time covertly arresting the leading Kiramashis and disguising them as one of the traitorous diplomats sent to execution. Obviously, it failed to be secret and the whole country attempted to revolt they everyone heard about it, only to be crushed by the military and killing several hundred thousand people in various cities across the Empire.
The Combatants:
The Seong Shogunate - Composed of Symphonia's military and aristocratic leaders, they rule from the city of Numenoria. While essentially attempting to preserve as much of the former Empire and the Asian Federation as much as possible, they seek to only further their own power. The Shogunate is ruled by the shogun, but individual territories are under the direct control of the military aristocracy who report to the shogun. Thus Symphonia is split into many small fiefs in which they governors have near absolute control. They seek the destruction of the Imperial Kiramashi Family, and will stop nothing to kill the entire clan in an effort to end public loyalty to their rule. They control southern and the southeast regions of Symphonia and the region of Huanqiu, though their power also extends into cities across the former Empire, aside from the totally rebellious provinces in the north and east.
The National Liberation Front (The Kiramashi Dynasty) - This is a resistance movement that has spung up in many of Symphonia's cities and the countryside, composed of civilian and military defectors who support the Kiramashi. Nominally controlled by the Kiramashi Family, they are most prevalent in the northern provinces of Hienkoku and Symphonia, as well as the eastern region of Cheonsa. They are disorganized, but possess enough firepower to make the Seong in the south reconsider an all out military campaign against the rebellious provinces. An attack would leave the provinces closer to Numenoria open to attack and possible rebellion by the local citizens themselves. The NLF, having been forced from Skyview, is currently headquartered in the city of West Genevira, another Kiramashi stronghold. It is a symbol of hope for many of the former Empire's citizens who dislike the dictatoral Seong government.

Where you come in:
Obviously, this a war Rp in which the international community may or may not come to help the Symphonian people. Some countries may support the Seong, others the Kiramashis, and there are definitely some countries that can't wait to take a bite out of a weakened empire that is positively overflowing with riches. So, that being said, its pretty easy to see what this Rp is about. I leave it up to you to decide what you want to do.
Rules:
Alas, in every Rp there is a list or expectation of all the Rpers. I for one, being an old rper, am going to very much prefer that your posts are NOT single lines and take up 2 inches out of my 30 inch moniter. Put some effort into your posts people, it makes reading the Rp much more enjoyable and helps your mind think creatively (which might be a plus to some of you). I want your first IC post saying why does your government want involve itself in a war in which it risks getting blown to pieces like any of the other combatants. So I say again: NO SLACKING.
Talking about creativity, I have to talk about tech in this Rp. As stated in the link title, this is a MT Rp. So no heat-seeking throwing axes and satellite lasers that blast cities into annhilation, as well as aircraft carriers the size of Manhatten island. MT means "modern tech" thank you very much, and for those of you who play Modern Warfare, you'll have an easy time with following this rule. For those who don't, well looking up weaponry and technology on Wikipedia is quite helpful in some cases.

However, you should usually provide links to the type of vessel (i.e the Wiki article or information source) rather than pictures. It allows greater detail for everyone and lets your friends and allies see the strengths/weaknesses of your ORBAT. Sure, we can go look everything up individually, but it's easier if it's all there. So if you could change that I would be much appreciative.
