IC:In the largely religious soviet empire the emperor Vladimir King has begun a campain to purge the empire of atheists, the emperor Vladimir King has sent his elite KPF (kings protection force) which consits of Vladimir King's and his families guards as well as the nations spies and secret agents to hunt down and round up the atheists. Vladimir King has announced his decision to purge the nation of the atheists...

My fellow soviets it is a pleasure to announce my decision to rid the empire of the filthy infidels once and for all! The atheists are bringing our nation towards damnation and i will not allow that to happen dang it!! I have sent my KPF to hunt down the atheists and prepare them for public execution! They will be hung, shot, and forced to fight to the death as gladiators for they're crimes against the empire and against god! Beware atheists im coming for you!!!

In just one month over a million atheists are rounded up and over 200,000 of them are executed publicly. The KPF is working hard rounding up and killing the atheists, Vladimir King calls it his war on infidelity. The KPF consits of 50,000 agents and guards to protect the King family and do special missions to aid the soviet army.

This will likely spark tremendous outrage within said community, and I must admit- it galls Harkonna as a whole to see life extinguished on such a scale, without a shred of honour. This is a prime opportunity, however, to begin seizing human assets within the USSR- specifically the targets of this genocide. Your division will be given a specific series of orders on how to proceed with this potentially volatile situation. Discretion is certainly advised.

An aggressive military intelligence agency is a formidable power on its own, but with the backing of an entire nations corporate connections- and the full support of an integrated government ... The HNID was a terrifying organization to its enemies, to say the least. It was credited with the single handed near-annihilation of an entire nation's domestic internet. That, in and of itself was a considerable feat. Already, skilled HNID hacking groups were probing secure USSR military servers and databases, subtly testing them for weaknesses and analyzing their active defenses. Other groups had begun bypassing the considerably weaker defenses of lesser government organizations (there was no shortage of them), and preparing to create openings for operatives on the ground to infiltrate said organizations. But, perhaps most importantly- a large cadre of more defense-oriented hackers were opening lines of communication to prominent Atheists either in hiding, or protected by their monetary assets, as well as begun creating clandestine IRC networks that the more rank and file Atheist citizens of the USSR could have secure access to.

Outside of cyberspace, the corporate muscle of a free market nation could not be ignored- even within a predominantly socialist state like the USSR. At least forty-nine international flights had been 'hijacked' by HNID operatives, who were now posing as fresh crews- the actual crews being given paid leave for an indefinite period ... A steady trickle of trained Harkonnan Intelligence Agents were slowly filtering into the nation, preparing to take their roles. Some would become low-ranking government officials, assisted by the Cyberspace arm of the HNID. Others would disperse, and begin forming resistance cells with the USSR at key locations- serving as contacts for Atheists seeking to flee the country- or others, willing to take up arms against the government that had seen fit to execute them. Along with the trickle of agents- there was also a trickle of military assets, unidentifiable, but certainly cutting-edge military weaponry and armour. Even uniforms, though they were generic in nature- a dull grey colour with no trappings whatsoever. The slowly growing sympathetic movement within the airline staff and aerial customs officials within the USSR stemmed the flow somewhat- but still, they trickled in like the agents themselves.

And of course, other agents would become customs officials, or border guards at key locations. The reason for this was currently unknown by the HNID- but they didn't ask questions. They did speculate, however. And the best guess at this point was that Harkonna was preparing contingencies for war.

Dang no responce on it either, i am contacting the KPF sp that they can deal with it...

This is KPF central command, how can we help you SAC we are very busy here. It seems as though a few planes have non accounted for passengers, possibly atheists and will not respond to radio contacts. Dont worry we secretly install secret cameras in every plane to see whats going on... We see they do have what may be athiests on board. I will contact Vladimir King to see what he wants us to do about it...

Hmm everything is normal here, nothing needs to be censored here... Nothing of inter-Wait what is this? A chat between atheists? Hmm a group of atheists is chatting with an outside source, we are able to track the atheist source however we cannot track the outside source. The atheists IP address has been blocked out and we are sending a company of KPF soldiers to raid the building. Shame we cant find out who was contacting them though...

Alright we have gotten off the radio with Vladimir King and he has ordered us to have the plane land in the nearest soviet city for a KPF inspection.

14 MILES AWAY FROM YAKUTSK, USSR.

The radio of the flight had been non-functional for almost ten minutes, and the operative aboard knew that if the USSR decided something was wrong aboard- the results would be far from desired. It didn't take long before the co-pilot, an HNID operative with significant electrical engineering experience, managed to get it working again. Moments later, the pilot's voice crackled over the radio. "This is Flight Four-Nine-One to Yakutsk Airport. We have had significant radio issues for the past fifteen minutes. Please relay any relevant transmissions made during this time to us, repeat, we have had no radio capabilities for that timespan. Over."

ATHEIST CELL DETECTED BY SCPC AUTHORITIES;
WITHIN THE CITY OF KURGAN, USSR.

The unexpected loss of connection with the contact was unprecedented- the reaction to their IP being blocked entirely was at first that of shock- and then of fear. Had a USSR mole infiltrated the IRC chat room? At this point, it hardly mattered. Their connection outside of the country had been lost. Thankfully, the days they had been in contact with the Agent, they had also managed to secure a shipment of arms and uniforms, as well as various supplies. They had no idea who these people were- but it seemed as if they had their best interests at heart. At the very least, they weren't trying to exterminate them like the government was. Along with the shipment came a representative of these 'benefactors.'

He didn't give a name, and the twenty-three Atheists that the cyber-contact had rallied together here didn't really want to press him for one. He seemed stiff, and uncomfortable most of the time- like a military trooper stuffed into a suit. As soon as the connection went down- the stiff was already on his sattelite phone, whispering furtively and urgently into it. The call was to another contact, who would then relay the message through several more secure contacts- and then back to the HNID. The message was fairly short. "Cell 8492 compromised. Increase security on chat rooms, block access to anyone not given passwords. Word of mouth is key. Out."

He turned to the other men and women in the room, gesturing to the weapons and uniforms that the shipment had brought in. They consisted of lightweight handguns and light, composite rifles. The munitions that accompanied them were armour-piercing rounds, making up for the reduced caliber of the weapons themselves. "If they've tagged this place as an Atheist nest, they'll come down hard. We need to move. Now- we've been training to some degree since I got here, and you all have near-average skills with the weapons you've been given. We're not looking for a straight-up fight here, but we're going to hit them back- hard. Get suited up, and arm yourselves." He gestured briskly at a more haggard, but well-built looking woman. "You've got the most experience with the recoilless. Take it."

Within minutes, the building was abandoned, and the men and women that were once inside it had taken every scrap of information with them, or destroyed what they had left behind. The computers were wiped clean with magnets, and soon, a small fire was burning in the centre of the room. Soon, it would spread- the building becoming a towering inferno as the atheists and their unknown compatriot slipped into the nooks and crannies of the city.

When the KPF agents reached the building they were suprised to see it had been evacuated. After the firefighters came and put out the fire the KPF agents started scanning the area for fingerprints and other DNA samples which could help find out who is responible.

It was a normal day in the city of leningrad, the buildings stood and people were walking around as normal enjoying the nice day, but they're enjoyment would turn to panic when terrorists would strike the city. A plane labled flight 758 flew into a tall building 100 stories tall, the building was completly destroyed, over 1000 people died in the incident, it was belived to be an accident at first but when athother plane labeled flight 624 crashed into anther building the SAC knew somthing was wrong, when the KPF started investigating a third plane would strike, this time at one of the KPF HQs, although the damage was minimum the finance reports of that year had been destroyed and the government cannot track 3.4 trillion roubles worth of expense, and a final strike was prevented by the KPF which shot down the plane and blew it up in the air, the 4th and final plane was headed towards the King palace in moscow, an atempted assassination atempt on Vladimir Kings life. After a report by the KPF it was realised that a terrorist group led by atheists was responsible for the attacks, over 5000 lay dead because of them.
The terrorist attacks on the day will be know as 8-12.

Vladimir King now is out for blood against the atheiests and now is not killing them but publicly torturing them until they die of abuse. The new torture technices include whips, beatings with rods, breaking every bone in the body, submerging the waist and below in a pool of pirannas so that the athiests legs are eaten to the bone, public skinnings, and several other grousume torture technices. The KPF is now so brutal to the atheists that the blood curderling screams of the tortured souls fill the air every hour of the day.

6 MILES AWAY FROM YAKUTSK, USSR.

The pilot responded cordially; "KPF forces, this is Flight 491. Orders confirmed, we are proceeding to Yakutsk Domestic Airport. I'm concerned about the non-registered passengers, sir. Is there anything we should do to ensure the safety of the plane?" The pilot waited awhile before asking again. "KPF, come in. This is Flight 491, we're going to try to get to the bottom of this. Hopefully this is just a misunderstanding. Heading in to Yakutsk Domestic regardless, over."

The pilot got into contact with the flight authorities in Moscow- where they had taken off from, and soon discovered that the wrong passenger dossier had been uploaded to the computer systems. It was an older dossier, before certain passengers had relocated to different planes, and other, short-list passengers had taken their place. In fact, only a handful of the 'unregistered' passengers were actually Atheists. Not that they would admit it- nor would the KPF have any real way to determine it.

The flight landed at the airport, and some of the crew and the passengers disembarked, waiting at the intake area for the KPF officers to arrive.

ATHEIST CELL ON THE RUN FROM THE KPF;
WITHIN THE CITY OF KURGAN, USSR.

The stiff had set ten of them of them up in a new building, barely a block away from the now burned-out former hideout. They had re-established a secure communication uplink, and fortified the building against incursion, whilst the other 14 spread out across the block, evading KPF agents, and preparing for a counter-strike against the company that had been deployed. It would be a hit-and-run assault, minimizing casualties and maximizing the potential damage. Whilst the KPF and the Government Firefighters evacuated people from the building, and began interrogations, the three fireteams took up positions in buildings surrounding their former hideout. Seconds later, four of them opened fire with tracer rounds, aiming for potential explosive sources such as nearby cars and KPF light armoured vehicles. Heavy shots rang out as the recoilless rifle sent heavy slugs into their armoured vehicles and APCs. A veritable hailstorm of AP bullets, though small in caliber, ripped through the KPF's infantry armour like tissue paper. Although the accuracy was mediocre, it made up for it in sheer expenditure of bullets. The KPF was taken by surprise, without a doubt.

Almost as soon as the barrage had started- it was over, the KPF reeling from the explosions and losses incurred. The fireteams simply folded up from their firing positions and made a break for it, their established routes of escape away from the prying eyes of the KPF's forces. But they were ready if they were to be intercepted- new clips locking into place as they ran.

Reports were streaming in in regards to the numerous terrorist attacks erupting across the USSR, though none of them, especially those regarding planes- were in any way connected to Harkonna. It seemed that the Athiests outside of Harkonna's cells were taking up arms of their own- lashing back in outrage against their government. The chaos that ensued, however, was just the distraction needed to properly assault the USSR's military and financial databases. Silently, the hackers slipped into the military servers- bypassing the proxies, firewalls, and even the administrators that seemed to avidly patrol these systems. They copied and dumped terabyte upon terabyte of classified military documents and financial details into Harkonnan databases- before releasing a rather tenacious and unpleasant computer virus onto their networked systems. This was a far more virulent version of the CALMERE virus, which had been used to decimate the internet of the former Industrialized Nation of Honour.

It tore into the networks it was unleashed upon, obliterating entire databases before being shut down, or quarantined- spreading as quickly as it could from system to system. The same was performed on numerous lesser government agencies, and hundreds of major companies across the USSR. It was a cyber-blitzkrieg, much like the lightning assault the Atheists had enacted upon the raiding KPF troops. And as soon as it was realized what was happening- the hackers, much like the Atheists, were gone, their trail severed at several points along the way. Various traces and leads lead to far off nations across the globe, but at no point did they converge ...

Good to see this whole mess is over with, the atheists will be taken to moscow for execution and the other passengers are free to go, Over and out, the KPF.

The KPF although surprised and taking losses was an elite force that was trained for this kind of situation. They quickly took defensive postitions and returned fire to the rebels. The KPF sent teams of 5 into every rebel occupied building to trap them in and scorch them with flamethrowers and use grenades on them. Reinforcements were already coming in by helicopter so that the terrorists could be located if they escape.

The KPF now aware of the cyber crime on the internet now decides to completly shut down the internet for all but KPF agents and government officials, now the terrorists will no longer be able to plan assualts on the internet.

The atheist terrorists have killed thousands of innocent people here in our nation, caused huge amounts of damage to our national cities, and now try to kill me! The pilot smiled dryly, nodding to the KPF officer before re-boarding the plane. The KPF had intimidated seven non-athiests into confessing their 'athiesm,' and correctly accused four actual atheists in the process. In total, out of the two hundred passengers, 11 had been removed- and almost fifty-six atheists were cleared to leave the country. Barely an hour later, the plane took off once more, and eventually, they reached their destination. Vancouver, Canada. The bulk of the Atheist passengers simply disappeared into Canada- but some of them took a few more flights after that, before being shuttled into Harkonna. So far, the growing 'underground' out of the USSR for atheists had extracted roughly 149,000 persons, and more boarded and left regularly. And even then, the anti-government cells were growing, becoming better armed, and better trained.

The numerous casualties inflicted on the company below now seemed negligible at best, but they were certainly considerable. Already, they had killed or wounded almost twice their number. Two of the fireteams managed to escape the buildings before the KPF stormed them, but the group with the recoilless rifle, and the haggard-looking woman was bottled up in a hallway on the second floor- KPF troops blocking their only exit. As they stormed the hallway- they cut them down to size succinctly, the AP bullets tearing into the Flamethrower-armed troops as they attempted to rush their position, belching flame haphazardly ahead of them. There was no fear in their eyes as they approached, they knew that they would fight and die here from the very beginning. But they had the opportunity to exact vengeance. In fact, they already had. The haggard woman chuckled dryly- shouting "ON ME!" before beginning to move forward, her boots crushing the hand of a downed, wounded KPF soldier. Two of the Atheists with her were armed with AP tracer rounds, the two of them taking point as they moved forward- firing at anything that moved as they advanced- the deadly bullets igniting any flamethrower tanks they penetrated.

The shutdown of the internet was far from unexpected. Regardless, the catastrophic damage had been done. With the utter shutdown of the nations internet, the citizens were sure to be rising in outcry against the government. It didn't matter much to inter-cell and external communications anyway, with private, hardened networks and sympathetic corporations within the USSR already operating private networks of their own. The more the USSR clamped down, the easier it was for the terrorists, and the Harkonnan-led cells to operate. It was clear, however, that terrorist cells could only do so much. Eventually, the time would come for Harkonna herself to intervene. And oh, what a day that would be ... Already, their government had been infiltrated, avenues of attack opened wide- and borders compromised without their knowledge. Within the HNID, at least, the focus was now on facilitating communication, and building up manpower within the USSR. The current tally, throughout the entirety of the Atheist cells, was roughly 79,800 armed and equipped guerrilla fighters. But even then- the CALMERE virus continued to wreak havoc despite the shutdown of the internet itself, infected military computers destroying records and protocols- previously connected corporate factory systems disabling significant parts of important industries and corporations nationwide, whilst utterly devastating the KPF records and information gathering systems.

The KPF was getting tired of the atheist rebels and terrorists, they contacted Vladimir King and recived permission to fire an airstrike at the atheist ocupied buildings. 30 Bombers will level the city to the ground destroying all atheist bases in the area. The KPF is evacuating its agents in the area and boarding helicopters to be airlifted to the nearest KPF base. The soviet army has blockaded all exits in the area with heavy tanks and 3 divisions of soldiers to make certain there is no escape for the atheists.

The KPF has created a new brand of software in the nations computer system, it has made it so all computers have scanners to see who is on a computer to ensure only classified eyes can see the internet. It is utterly hacker proof, any non KPF member detected on the internet will immediatly have they're IP adress shut down and have a team of KPF agents raid the adress and kill the atheists in the building. Despite the desire for internet in the nation aproval ratings for Vladimir King have reached a new high. His war on terror and his purge of atheism is making him a hero in the eyes of the people.

KPF bases have now been secured from cyber crime with the new IP tracking systems, now the KPF software is safe from atheists and with new anti-virus systems, viruses. And as the biggest pubicity increase in his career Obama Pin Que has been brought to justice, he was brutally executed in front of a massive crowed. Terrorism in the Soviet Empire has been iradicated as the biggest terrorist group is now destroyed. With more good news being that 75% of the atheists are now dead. Over 2.5 million lay dead now with the remaining 0.5 million being hunted like animals.

Following recent events, and the widespread success of the covert extraction of what we now tally as 420,390 Atheist former citizens of the USSR with minimal cost to Harkonna, we have given the green light for the next phase of the operation. This phase has been given the designation 'Torchlight.' The capability of the USSR to continue these atrocities will be eradicated- again, at minimal cost. Mass driver precision bombardment and fire support had been given to all on-ground HNID operatives working with anti-government forces. We've already established a secure intranet and various external communication uplinks, despite the USSR's best efforts to hamper their own citizens. It will also be noted, that a further 122,440 former USSR citizens have officially emigrated into Harkonna, some of them among the greatest scientific minds the USSR had to offer. The objective of this next phase is to eradicate the USSR military forces, and begin mobilization of our infiltrated assets. Phase objectives follow.

The haggard woman watched as KPF troops fled the building, seemingly in fear. The four of them pursued eagerly, hearing the blades of a helicopter- perhaps several churning the air on their approach. As the sound came to them, they hesitated, exiting cautiously as they tailed the KPF troops. The helicopter had landed in the street outside, and the remaining KPF troopers were piling into it desperately- as if fleeing. The haggard woman would have none of it- aiming the recoilless and taking four shots. One blew through the windshield of the helicopter, two tore through soldiers on the crew bay- and one blew through the fuel tank. Jabbing one of the tracer-armed rebels, she pointed at the aviation fuel streaming from the gaping wound in the helo's side. "FIRE!" Without a thought, the rebel complied- fiery shots ringing out as the armour piercing, flaming rounds ignited the helicopters fuel tanks. Moments later, it exploded- the pilots and surviving KPF soldiers either screaming in agony or slumped in deaths embrace as the twisted hulk burned.

Behind her, she heard footsteps, the four of them whirling around to see the nine other cell members that had been at the new base- the stiff was with them as well. He was talking avidly, from what she could tell, it was co-ordinates and time frames that he was muttering into the sattelite phone. Eventually, he pocketed it again, and nodded towards the helicopter with approval. "Nice handiwork. You'd make a better Soldier than a civilian." He chuckled uncomfortably before continuing. "I've made note of several major hardpoints. We can count on them to be shelled beyond belief before we get there, but we have to get moving. I've been in contact with the other two fireteams, and they'll be there to break through what's left when we are." The haggard woman nodded coldly, and motioned to him. "Lead the way. We're with you."

Elsewhere, all across the USSR, similar scenes were playing out. In some cities and towns, numerous cells had banded together to form up to company-sized units that were tactically harassing USSR Military and KPF forces across the nation. Elsewhere, it was squads, or platoons of rebel troops doing their best to survive. But wherever there was a Harkonnan agent, intelligence gathering was also a major priority- troop movements and locations being transmitted regularly to the HNID. Losses were minimal- and it seemed as if the rebels were building up to something.

And then it happened. There was no warning, no declarations, not even the slightest hint that this would happen- and yet, the reality of it was stark and almost unbelievable. The military blockades and defensive positions- even entire divisions within USSR cities were being struck by some sort of superheavy artillery. Not even a whistle before the white flashes engulfed an entire street in dust and shrapnel- the road itself tearing apart and hurling itself in deadly shards. Similar precision strikes occurred at USSR airbases, their hangars specifically targeted, leaving nothing but rubble and twisted metal behind. Supply depots, army depots- all across the nation, their entrenched and standby military forces were being systematically wiped out. Hundreds, if not thousands of agents within government organizations suddenly turned against their employers, government officials across the nation gunned down in their offices without so much of a how-do-you-do. Sympathizers within the government were swiftly armed with small supply caches that had been secreted into government buildings- the operatives and sympathizers continuing their bloody assault on the oppressive machine that monitored and controlled the USSR. Elsewhere, these lighting strikes continued, rippling throughout the USSR like a wildfire as the rebels began to take the fight to the devastated military that had attempted to box them in ...

It was found out that an outside source was providing aid to the athiest insurgents operating in the nation. Although the KPF has not found out who is providing aid to the rebels they claim to be on the verge of a breakthrough. And to speed up the operation the old KPF chief has been sacked and exeuted for treason. The new KPF chief is a man named Ivan Gore who has had 10 years of experience as a field marshal for the soviet army, he says he will have the athiest problem dealt with in 2 months easy.

Several military and KPF bases had been damaged by enemy strikes (6 in total) and 1 was destroyed. A couple thousand military and KPF officials were killed in the strikes and about 7000 government workers were killed. Several assassination atempts have been done on Vladimir King by atheist insurgents, all tackled by the KPF raising military confidence against atheists.

Vladimir King's mass killing of athiests has rose his popularity in the nation to a new high. The people love him, they belive that Vladimir King is a holy crusader sent by god to clense the world of infidels. The people have been taking up arms and hunting down atheists themselves to please the emperor Vladimir King. The peoples hatred of the atheists was only begining however. Up to now they have only been killed but the people have down a week of extreme violence against the atheists. The theists have dragged thousands of atheists out of they're homes at night, and have had the infidels crusified in the name of god. The atheists homes and safehouses are burnt down to the ground. And thousands of atheist books have been burnt in the streets, the people rally for the end of atheism completly in the world and are turning to the emperor to clense other lands of the plaque of atheism instead of simply they're own land. The week of violence has been nicknamed the week of long knives, the most violent act against atheists yet.

My fellow theists I am proud to announce that our campain against infidelity is almost over, 80% of the atheists are dead, 95% of the remaining atheists have been captured and are awaiting execution. Ivan Gore is escalating his movements against the atheists by enlisting the help of satelites in space to track down and destroy athiest groups. And as an added bonus our KPF secret science team has turned the nation into a complete police state, ID cards, tracking chips, CCTV cameras everywhere, and a KPF agent in every alley. Our ID cards or theist cards are given to all theists in the nation, we have set up checkpoints in every road where people present they're theist cards, those who dont have a card are shot. I have trained 5000 new agents into the KPF to fight the terrorists that still remain, military recruitment rates are up due to a high will to fight for our country, we have tracked the high amounts of insurgents to an outside source which we are working on finding. We have decided to put the internet back online for all soviet people, however we have only put the internet connetion on for soviet people, no outside source can get into our internet as there is no connection to outside sources. We have also shut down all international flights to and from the country as we have found out that athiests have been using them to escape from the country, only domestic flights will be allowed from now on. Also all civilian usage of sea travel has been shut down, only military, government, and KPF officials may use seaports from now on. We have also closed the border preventing anyone from getting in or out of the country, we have put 1 million soldiers to guard the border to ensure nobody may escape they're punishment from god. The KPF under its new management has stoped the assassination of government employees and other important people 99%, and with the high new military numbers the insurgents have been almost completly wiped out. Ivan Gore has traced the outside interferince to a nation called Harkonna which the government is putting extreme sactions on for interfering in domestic affairs. And to keep an eye on Harkonna interference the KPF has sent 50 agents of Harkonnan nationality to go to the country and spy on the Harkonnan inteligence agencies, secretly of course.

The insurgents military assualt was vicious at first but the military and KPF quickly recovered and found out where the enemy assualts was coming from. Space, the enemy was firing artillery rounds from sattelites in space. The KPF now obtained permission to use the recently developed space weapons the KPF secret labs had been developing. The most important is the new super sonic space missle which can travel into space 4x faster than a space shuttle.

Supreme Commander, this is High Director Nathaniel Mikallister of the HNID. The covert operation within the USSR has been largely successful, but following the intervention of Harkonnan Orbital Batteries in support of our forces, they have discovered our 'invisible hand' in their internal affairs. I would also note that our gambit to eliminate key government officials has been incredibly successful- so far, we count roughly five thousand bodies of key individuals, and two to three thousand aides and other subsidiary or redundant officials. In addition, our operations have left the USSR's economy in shambles- with their records and indexes lying in ruins. For a centrally-planned economy like the USSR's, this is a devastating blow to say the least.

As per the agents tasked with eliminating government officials, they have suffered the greatest losses in comparison to the rest of HNID agents deployed within the USSR, but the vast majority have made it out, with the sympathetics, and joined up with rebel forces in their respective cities. The fighting has been fierce insofar, but we have done nothing but gain ground at this point. However, there are two issues that are of significant concern. One, is the fact that the vast majority of USSR citizens are widely in support of their regime, literally reduced to nothing more than a psychotic mob. I have personally given the green light on executing any civilians that attempt to hinder insurrectionist forces or government agents. We would have been perfectly willing to leave civilians out of this conflict, but they seem to have thrown their lot in with the government. Clearly this is not acceptable.

Secondly, there is the issue of Vladimir King. As you have no doubt become aware, there have been numerous attempts by other terrorist organizations to kill him, and each one has failed spectacularly. This has only increased the fervor with which the citizenry support their government. They see him as untouchable, ordained by god. I personally would like to petition for the use of a Thermobaric weapon on his 'palace,' and see it leveled. At the very least, it will show that he is not untouchable- and none are ordained by a god to rule, let alone commit genocide. This, however, could also be enacted by a team of Harkonnan Military Operatives, if need be. Admittedly, the use of a Thermobaric weapon could lead to an undesirable situation.

A final request, ma'am. With the banning of all international flights, our forces are essentially trapped within the USSR. However, our attacks on key airbases with the mass driver arrays has resulted in an aerospace opening. I would request the full support of the Aerial forces to begin airlifting combat units into civilian airports. We have their military secrets- their SAM and AA sites are ripe for the picking. The haggard woman looked to the stiff with disbelief. He had just told them that the only reason they were alive and equipped was because of another nation's intervention. "Harkonna." She said. The word sounded odd on her lips, like it was some sort of foul language. He had also explained that he was part of a government intelligence organization, tasked with ensuring Harkonna benefited in some way from the chaos that ensued within the USSR. Admittedly, their reasons for intervening were entirely in terms of self-interest, it didn't stop them from being inherently good as a result. They were moving towards the airport now, like many other Atheist cells within the city, moving through the countryside silently, their new orders clearly explaining that they were to execute civilians.

The order seemed harsh, but she knew first hand the horrors that they would be subject to if they were spotted, or attacked unawares. She had already had her entire life as she knew it torn from her fingertips- and why? What could possibly be a reason to ruin the lives of three million people? Religion. That was a curse word to her now, for certain. More than the strangeness of Harkonna, it was a familiar, dirty word. It had destroyed the lives of her family, killed her daughter, and ruined whatever hope she had of a normal life within her own nation. If that wasn't a reason to defend yourself by any means necessary- what was? Their new objectives were quite simple. Secure civilian airports. In and of themselves, they provided an excellent avenue of both offence, and defense. With the USSR's Airbases already under heavy shelling by Harkonnan orbital batteries, the civilian airports would soon be the only place to land and service planes within the USSR ... Controlling this vital resource would be key.

The bombardment of the USSR had been running for days now. Countless shells had been expended onto military runways, hangars, supply depots and defensive positions- as well as numerous precision missile strikes on major SAM installations fed to them by the HNID. It was a slow process, but the eighty-one orbital weapons platforms were more than capable of achieving the directives laid out. The stations, and their linked sattelite arrays had been on high alert for the past few days. Certainly, the USSR would not simply lie down at take a bombardment of this degree ... But the idea of reprisal was both laughable and a considerable threat. The large nuclear generators aboard, however, powered a precision point-defense laser. A relic from older, less feasible defense programs. It required immense amounts of stored capacitor energy, but it was capable of shooting down incoming missiles with impunity. Its lack of stamina for sustained missile attack relocated it to an emergency defense role, however, soon replaced by racks of guided interceptor rockets- numerous electronic countermeasures, and small groups of unmanned hunter drones that served as both a light anti-fighter screen, and feasible anti-missile drones.

Either way, the bombardment continued it's relentless onslaught against military targets. At least- until the new orders came in. Some of the depots shifted from their assault, instead turning on civilian targets. Hyper-accelerated artillery rounds now also rained down on monuments, skyscrapers, public institutions- anything large enough to be seen as a symbol of the USSR's strength. Harkonna was now no longer simply waging an ideological war- an insurrection ... It had realized this foolishness. Now it waged a war on the spirit and culture of the USSR as well.

And it would be noted ... That High Director Mikallister got his thermobaric weapon. Two of them, in fact. A pair of the high-velocity fuel-air bombs streaked mercilessly towards the palace of Vladimir King. Vengeance, would be swift.

Intelligence agents operating within the USSR have intercepted a communique from your nation, to one Vladimir King. As you are well aware, the situation within the USSR is hectic and genocidal, but from what we can tell, you are operating from the other side of their intelligence blackout. I'm going to give you some hard numbers here. The government of the USSR has executed roughly 2,500,000 atheists within their nation, the remaining 500,000 only escaping with their lives or joining rebel cells due to Harkonna's intervention. Currently, only about 80,000 atheists are still alive within the borders of the USSR, excepting Harkonnan intelligence agents. Moreover, the USSR has already suspended all air travel into and out of the nation. Even if you were to convince the government to stop killing atheists, it would be redundant. They have already annihilated almost a million families- destroyed the lives of countless innocents. And only because they lacked belief in a god that would sanction this sort of massacre. Harkonna claims responsibility for all terrorist attacks not associated with Obama Pin Que, whom our agents suspect is in reality, a government patsy forced into the position to incite hatred among the populace towards Atheists. Most of the images show KPF forces and military troops publicly executing men, women and children in horrifyingly gruesome ways- almost always with massive, cheering crowds in the background, with a few showing government officials personally and savagely tearing the flesh off of civilians. The videos seem to have been taken from recordings made by KPF soldiers as they break into Atheist homes, hunting down and brutally murdering families- before breaking the arms, or savagely bashing in the heads of small children as they try to flee the soldiers, horrified and confused into the arms of their murdered parents. We will not give into your demands, we are not afraid of your intervention. The atheists in our country have been downgraded into terrorists and criminals and should be treated as such.
