Alexiandra's campaign to retake the seas had begun - and in full force. A massive fleet, totalling over six hundred warships, had been steadily coalescing since the beginning of the conflict. While the Vakali armada tarried and dithered about just within Alexiandra's maritime boundaries, this same fleet began its attack. The massive formation of naval craft sliced effortlessly through the waves, leaving foamy wakes behind their steel hulls. All missiles stood prepared, all guns loaded for the most intense naval firefight ever seen in Alexiandra's waters. The man in charge of the entire operation, codenamed "Operation Supernova" was High Admiral Bruce Terrence. A shining candidate, he had been deployed as a marine all over the globe, in some of the heaviest fighting Alexiandran forces had ever been involved in - and more importantly, he had survived. Immediately following his retirement from the Marine Corps in early 1991, he took to a life at sea, serving on the HMS Harbinger and HMS Dawn during the infamous Harvian insurgency. Endowed with the necessary combat experience, the Admiralty Board, in conjunction with Emperor Lance Wydra, had deemed him the most skilful of all the possible candidates they could have chosen from. Despite having initially refused the offer, he was soon convinced to defend his nation by the Emperor himself. He now found himself once again sitting aboard HMS Harbinger - this time as its captain and the commanding admiral of an entire fleet. A career in the armed forces could move swiftly.

Spreading out into typical attack formation, the massed fleet launched its first volley of ship-to-ship missiles, the advanced Endeavour class cruisers leading the way. The sky was lit with thousands of the munitions, each seeking an individual target. The bow of a ship, perhaps, or even its bridge. The pair of Thor class cruisers which had been recently been purchased from Amaya Metal Works were in action today, and the admiralty was keen to test their capabilities. These ships were amongst the foremost in global surface-to-surface craft in the world, constantly ready to unload their devastating barrage of ammunition at a moment's notice. One could even say the Vakali had been foolish, allowing their transports to practically outnumber their escorts. They would make for easy pickings. Millions of people waited with bated breath as the fight was initiated, desperately praying for the utter annihilation of the invading force and the restoration of peace between the two powers. While praying may have brought comfort to the anxious families of sailors waiting at home, it was of no use to the men actually fighting this war - only bullets, missiles and cold, efficient planning could save them now. And of those things, Alexiandra had plenty.

I am going to make this role play slightly more interesting. If anyone wishes to, they can role play sending a spy plan squadron over in the Mekong River, to conduct operations of why a huge forest like object has been identified to be moving around, according to your satellites. I do not mind at all. :D
"There is always practical... deterrence yes? After all, the whole concept is simple. Which is why I introduce henceforth today the doomsday machine."
- in the Comrade People's Emperor's doomsday gap address years back when he outlined the need for a fully automated deterrence (a nice quote joke based off Doctor Strangelove)

Pier 666, Harbour 13
Secretive Mekong River Shipyards
Mekong River
South East Asia, People's Huangdiist Teikoku

Then so back in Mumbai a secret decision was made after the Brigadier General Mahavira Susumu Inoue made a short cellular phone call from his location in Rumek, Vakali-Nitom send a disturbing report implying nuclear launches becoming a possible strategy on the part of the Vakali-Nitomians, or the Alexiandrians. The time to mobilize the practical deterrence of the entire navy had come. With nuclear war ever more certain, the insane military leadership, however mad they can often be, decided therein to mobilize one single Tōgō Heihachirō class Nuclear Guided Missile Super-Dreadnought, the SDN-03 (or IJN Uesugi Kenshin). This huge bulk of steel clad death was soon prepared, with her crew of new, excited sailors aboard to board this massive hulk of moving metal, this Goliath of the seas, this megalomaniac behemoth, one of three Tōgō Heihachirō SDNs currently in service. The whole point of this mobilization was to bring a special nuclear deterrent to the battle-field, something with enough counter-measure systems to intercept an incoming force of ICBMs. This vessel's sole duty, provide naval coastal defence, as well as air defence, combined with being a command ship overall, was its entire intention. The massive hull was slowly being un-anchoured from Pier 666, surnamed the "Devil's Super Dreadnought Area", where all three sisters stood in glory parked on beside the other, in this massive artificial naval station, dug deep in the People's Province of Laos, out of the area to create a huge secretive location for ships.

The nature behind this port is that it is easily camouflaged by the dense jungle forests, the river itself, as well as camouflage cloth coverings that the navy places on its ships to make them look either like huge mangrove trees of jungles in the river. Unless someone sent a spy plane (which air defence would swiftly shoot down; although that would raise suspicions), not even a satellite could correctly distinguish the nature of this base, in which other creeping measures were conducted to make it look completely natural as well as un-military like. Barracks were all surrounded with trees taller than the buildings themselves, while other areas of this base had roofs covered with mud. Nevertheless those were not the sole attempts at hiding the overall base. There has been other interesting niceties implemented to hide this huge superstructure of a base, as well as the largest vessels ever built by the navy. Yet that is not quite the matter at hand. The matter at hand was these huge hulls, of which one was preparing to move out to meet the Vakali-Nitomians in a welcoming manner. Its goal, to provide a huge sea-based air defence platform against incoming masses of nuclear weapons. The command in Mumbai feared nuclear war more than anything especially since the state was not economically prepared to wage one at the moment. Therefore something had to be done to prevent one, at all costs necessary, even if it meant moving a huge bulk of a warship with few escorts to the war front.

The crew were being transported to the IJN Uesugi Kenshi by hordes of small fast attack craft based on the Chinese & Iranian models, being transported on their way to destiny, to fate itself. They all knew one way or another that while this huge superstructure could withstand many weapons, it could easily fall, like any other super dreadnought, to hypersonic cruise missiles, something feared for this poor yet beautiful monster of power. Interestingly, the conning tower & masts were designed along the lines of Shintoist or Buddhist pagoda architecture, giving the super dreadnoughts a strange ambience to them. Alas, the sailors watched in awe at the pride of the whole entire People's Liberation Resistance Army Navy, their pride indeed it was. These were manly ships after all, rather than cowardly small vessels used by what insane conservative officers called "womanized men". Nevertheless losing one of those ships was a terrible fear the navy had, basing this fear off the Yamato-III class super battleship & its 300,000 crew being sunk off the coast of the People's Province of Taiwan. This ship was just as large as any of the super dreadnoughts, except it did not really have that much automation systems, combined with the fact of which it was over-filled with men with the intent of becoming an over-killed amphibious vessel, hence why the 300,000 crew.

However, learning their lesson, the PLRAN designed the Tōgō Heihachirō class as more automated ships with a much smaller crew requirement, combined with less mistakes than before. All wooden areas were removed, replaced with solid composite materials. Returning to the current situation, the sailors, were both awed as well as fearful, afraid of meeting the same Yamato-III fate. Nevertheless these were samurai warriors of the fiercest breed possible at sea. Only the most fearless sailors would ever sail the super dreadnoughts. Such were these warriors, they were fearful in terms of being disappointed that the Tōgō Heihachirō vessels would have a short unfortunate lifetime in the naval service, however they never feared for their own lives. The magnificent ships were the propaganda, the pride, the honour, the glory of the entire navy in itself. The Mekong River was like a Panama Canal, or a modern version of the ancient Chinese Grand Canal, whilst being similar to the Gibraltar, Chuuk Lagoon, as well as Pearl Harbour bases. Most of its activity usually took place under the cover of night, to prevent enemies from knowing about the bases existence, in which the PLRAN was quite adept at hiding the base before daybreak.

Such was the occasion once more. Currently at seven past mid-night, the sailors were on their small craft lighted by oil lanterns to see ahead of them the massive hulls. They were all assigned to one however, of the hull designation SDN-03, the IJN Uesugi Kenshin, named after the famed warrior who often referred himself to being a God of War virtually. Now, as they approached the huge hull, ladders & ropes were thrown overboard on either starboard of the ship, allowing the sailors as well as the naval petty officers to climb into the ship on either side. On board the vessel they saw a conflagration of activity taking place from the numerous naval officers on board, as well as the vessel's engineers performing inspections & maintenance tasks to make sure everything on board was ready. On one part of the deck a group of senior officers were practicing their kendo whilst another group was doing numerous martial arts sessions, preparing their physique for the upcoming war. Upon entering the deck as well as boarding the vessel the sailors were then welcomed by the Commissars on board the ship, in which in return the sailors saluted to all the highest ranking officers & commissars on the ship, before positioning themselves in military honour guard formation (officers on one side, the sailors on another), leaving the captain as well as the Admiral to walk in the middle. Indeed, the Admiral was Admiral Nirmal Kumar Verma himself, the man who had wanted to be here in the first place.

Now, his dream was fulfilled. He would die in combat later on. He stood in the middle of the formation with the ship's captain, then drew a list from his overcoat, from which he called attendance to all the sailors & officers to make sure everyone was here, before attending to the matters of assigning everyone to their positions. From there, the sailors were toured throughout the ship to see the numerous tasks as well as activities before being shown to the massive armaments on board the vessel. It was especially the six massive main turrets of five huge guns each that impressed the new recruits. In the meantime, the Admiral along with the captain went back inside the control room to make an announcement, "Attention to the crew of the Uesugi Kenshin! We are about to set sail! Everything is in place! To war, glory, honour, as well as death we go!" sirens soon sprang into action, the type of sirens directing everyone into position to prepare the ship to leave. Once everything was ready, the captain of the vessel, Shun Kichirou Tachibana began to steer the massive hull of havoc as it prepared to leave port, assisted by numerous tug boats to maintain its balance as well as slowly getting it out of the overall harbour, before finally sending it down the Mekong River to the delta, where it was finally released for war, sailing on her own from there.

Several kilometres into the Gulf of Thailand
En Route towards Vakali-Nitom

People's Huangdiist Teikoku

However, she was not alone. In fact, there were quite the surprises, as two fully loaded Uchiha Madara class CVNs, four Suzuya class nuclear powered stealth multi-purpose guided missile destroyers (DDG-N), five Atago class guided missile destroyers (DDG), seven Type 45 Guided Missile Destroyers (DDG), one Nichiren Buddha class arsenal missile carrier vessel, as well as six Yoritomo class nuclear powered dragon submarines (SSN) & three Ryuujin II class nuclear powered guided cruise missile submarines (SSGN), were soon setting sail from either the Mekong Shipyards or from the port in Mumbai, joining forces to escort the massive super dreadnought in her endeavour to provide the Vakali-Nitomians with a sufficient deterrence against nuclear weapons. At sea however the IJN Uesugi Kenshin was now commencing some war drilling to make sure her crew understood how to rapidly respond against threats. This would be the final aspect of her sea trials. Assembled on the deck of the super-dreadnought the crew awaited word from the captain himself. Standing on a higher balcony platform, he raised his voice, whilst coughing for everyone to turn their attention towards him. All grew silent once he spoke, "Comrades, helmsmen, we are the centre of the navy! Today, we must be ready for the drills to come. We shall conduct two different scenarios. The first being during a combat situation, the second one being the intercepting of ballistic missiles or other missiles in general. Begin!" he roared.

"Banzai!" the crew roared in return. They all went back to whatever they were doing prior to this. Now, the matter at hand was to await the sirens. Which indeed came soon afterwards. "Attention to all crew, prepare to battle-stations. Prepare for battle." some broadcast speakers bellowed throughout the ship in a thorough manner to make sure everyone heard. It was not long before many scrambled in numerous directions, sprinting towards their combat positions, either guns, anti-aircraft weapons, Close-in Weapon systems, VLS missile mobules, torpedo launchers, or the unique missile silos on board the huge vessel. The crew was moving quickly as possible, only missing the correct expected time taking them to get ready for combat by ten minutes. The same drill was conducted a second time moreover at this point it was much better than the aforementioned attempt. Now, the time came to test fire the ship guns. The super dreadnought was being manoeuvred by a helmsman who began turning the ship towards the left direction, the Azimuth thrusters on her stern doing their job pretty well. From there, a series of conch horns were blown throughout the vessel's ranks, giving the order to perform a broadside to the left. The ship's mighty guns turned left, before unleashing a terrifying storm of fire-power into the air, shredding the air as they did so, with the shells shrieking into the water further away.

The next test involved the right starboard broadside, in which the guns rotated towards the other side to unleash a torrent of ruthless amounts of pounding shells across the water. Then, the frontal main turrets rotated back to their default position, open firing at the fore front, unleashing a torrent of fire several kilometres ahead of the ship. The aft main turrets did the same thing in the opposite direction. Now, the next test part of the first exercise was to test fire the numerous VLS cells. Dozens of fake munitions came flying out of the peripheral vertical launching systems then landed into the water. Other exercises soon included dropping fake depth charges into the water or launching live fire torpedoes at a fake target nearby. After testing all the ship's weapons moments later, the second exercise came into place. Half of the crew was assigned to combat operations, while the other was ordered to be implied off duty. From a random missile silo in Phnom Penh, a 100 kiloton RS-24 "Yars" intercontinental ballistic missile came flying out heading towards the ocean to explode. The crew had to move into unified action to prepare countermeasures against the real nuclear warhead. Doing so, the ship soon readied numerous surface-to-air systems found on board, ranging from RIM-161s to RIM-174 missiles, whilst the Aegis Missile Defence System proved quite successful in guiding the ship's defences against the missile. After a few launches here or there, fifteen missiles successfully intercepted the launched ICBM, detonating it in the air.

These exercises proved to be a true military success, intercepting the weapon as required. The ship manoeuvred perfectly well during the combat simulations as well as intense navigation exercises, while the crew did their jobs wonderfully. However, despite better assurance they could withstand against enemy weapons, they knew the ship would still go down if something similar to a Dong Feng 21D anti-shipping ballistic missile carrying a nuclear warhead ever hit them. Nevertheless, drowned in their zeal for war as well as their loyalty, combined with their sheer daring courage, they wanted to die in battle to prove themselves in the ultimate test. They were warriors, on board the manliest vessel the People's Liberation Resistance Army Navy could ever offer, moreover they were proud of it. In a last summons before the captain & the Admiral, the crew, ever enthusiastic, knew they were ready for the challenges ahead of them. Not only was the Teikoku taking great risks while being undercover pretending all of this to be a DFPUAF (Dragon's Fury Pact Unified Armed Forces) deployment, yet they had not declared war against Alexiandra, nor had they done anything more than send troops to the Vakali-Nitomian homeland. The Teikoku, by sending an easily recognizable super-dreadnought, was probably violating international law, moreover if the Anemonians intercepted it, all would be over.

"Comrades, proletariat samurai of our great People's Huangdiist Teikoku! Our time to die in honour, to die in combat has come!" the Admiral shouted, raising his left hand into a firm clenched fist. Continuing, he added, "We are going to face a serious challenge to maintaining our undercover status! We must absolutely be careful in this situation! Our goal, is to intercept any nuclear launches, regardless which side. Whether the Vakali-Nitomians, Anemonians, or Alexiandrians launched first, their missiles shall be crushed on the spot! We will not let this war descend into nuclear conflict, am I understood?!" the Admiral roared. The crew & officers roared in reply. The captain now spoke. "This shall be a serious infringement of the original plan. We shall moreover must be extremely careful in this endeavour. We are still undercover, moreover we must do everything in our power to prevent the enemy from knowing where we came from. It must continue to be a DFPUAF deployment. Are we understood? Now, as previously declared, our mission, as well as the mission of the escorting vessels, is to engage as well as dismantle any possible nuclear exchange from either side, by any possible means. Even if means doing so daringly. We must be dauntless in our duty. We must fight to the death if we are discovered. No one here shall surrender. Not even myself nor the Admiral. We lived to die on board this mighty hull. We shall all go down with this ship. Here me now, we shall fight to the last man!" the captain roared, raising his own clenched fist.

He continued, "While you die in battle, i shall go down with this vessel, as well as shall the Admiral! The two of us shall die here, we shall not survive! We must fulfil our destiny! We are warriors, we are epic legendary conquerors! For the Great Socialist Motherland, for the Unified Teikoku, for the Utopia! For The Greater Good! If we die, we know we have sacrificed ourselves for the greater future, for everyone else's sake! We will have died to prevent a nuclear Armageddon!" the captain roared at the highest zenith of his lungs, to which the crew roared back, "Banzai!", before shouting war cries. From here at this point the Super-Dreadnought Missile Defence Squadron set out, its forces deployed not to engage the enemy, yet to daringly intercept nuclear launches between both sides, as best as can possibly be achieved. They would maintain order. They were due to arrive later on. At this point they were leaving the Gulf of Thailand, preparing to cross the Strait of Malacca, before crossing into the open oceans... for the destination of the Vakali-Nitomian homeland to complement their defences.

VDS invader, near alexiandra, longsword-class guided missile command ship

Admiral madresto sat in the high command chair looking down at the battle spread out before him on the large screen. So far, it had not gone well for the vakali, 5 of there transports had gone, there soldiers atempting to head off in life boats, he prayed that even alexiandra would not attack a fleeing lifeboat.
3 destroyers, the enraged, the unbreakable and by far the oldest vessil in the fleet, the HMS shakura, had been sunk.

Many battleships were damaged, many troup transports were in need of repair, just limping along. But now, the time had come, now it was time to launch an attack.

From the 50 dreadnoughts rose a tremendous thunder as the missile launchers unleashed there wrath on the enemy capital ships. Their extreme procision almost guaranteed a kill, and there main target were the engines and the bridge, where the most senior officers lay in wait like meat in a can, or chickens packed for slaughter.

Next it was the submarines turn: pinpointing ships that looked important, notably the thor class cruisers that proved themselves so dangerous. Torpedoes rushed towards their targets and missiles filled the seas with the fury of vakali-nitomian imperial power.

From the 11 olympus class battleships, a hail of missiles exploded towards there targets: the population centres of alexiandra. These were bioligical weapons, designed to make an area uninhabetable for many years. Many a grieving family would be created tonight in the doomed nation, families that would be crushed later.

After this devestation had been sent, the aircraft carriers let lose there cargo: over 200 bombers, to spread death over alexiandran capital ships, notably the Harbinger, which, according to vakali intelligence, was once the command ship of an Alexiandran high admiral.

OOC: was rushing a bit, sorry for the "list of attacks," type post.

OOC: Alex, a battleship is a very lose description. They could be olympus class, longsword class, iowa class, bumblebee class, jam doughnut class...you get the picture? Also, they're vakali-made olympus class, not the olympus class offered by a few storefronts.

OOC: Bullcrap that a longsword can be classified under "Battleship". Show me some economics to back up the fact that you could afford even one Longsword.

OOC: Ok point. But still there is no-way in hell the Longsword is classed as a "Battleship". Either be specific or dont but do not try to do both.

International Waters

Life was usually quite peaceful out on those small atolls in the Pacific. Nobody valued them enough to invade them, and there were few enough people on each one that they all knew each other. They also made for great fillers for authors who didn't want to use recognized nations in their posts.

The sea was rather calm today, and Juan Esperanza had just ordered the crew aboard his fishing trawler to pull up the net and see what they had caught. Suddenly, ships. Fucking massive ships. They were painted dark grey, with large eggshell numbers on their hulls. It wasn't a sight that was new to the captain; the GWO Navy had a habit of patrolling here. The sheer size of this fleet and presence of amphibious landing docks and aircraft carriers, identifiable by Esperanza's navy experience, could only mean one thing: invasion. He hadn't heard any warnings, uncharacteristic, as the Federal Navy usually respected their special relationship with the atoll and gave them prior notice to maneuvers in their area.

The largest ship sailed right by, marked with an 06 and "NIRVANA" in white letters. It was one of the GWO's Afterlife-class "super dreadnoughts," armed to the teeth and sporting the pinnacle of command and control software. He saw several Marines standing at the railings with binoculars to identify him; the GWO Navy had him registered as an indigenous fisherman who posed no threat, but as far as anyone knew, a trawler out on the seas could be an intelligence ship, something that would be better if it was at the bottom.

One board the FWS Nirvana, Fleet Admiral Harlequin Amoufhaz was looking over his order of battle and eyeing a news ticker on his television, watching as the Alexandria-Nitom situation progressed. His orders weren't to save Alexandria; the Spire honestly didn't care about them. His actions, however, would most certainly affect the situation.

He was to lead the naval operations of an invasion of Nitom. The relationship between the Federation and Nitom was never good, with the Spire dubbing Nitom's leadership as "Condensed soup containers" that were far too unstable and aimless to be tolerated. While their forces would be easily dismissed in a defensive, perhaps the biggest running joke in Federation defense policy would be for a man to say, "Better to fight a war over there than," as they pointed to a nearby building, "over there." Preemptive assaults and invasions were a simple fact of life when it came to GWO foreign affairs.

Surely, the international community would be raising eyebrows, since the GWO normally joins in when democracies and socialist nations were invaded. However, this was an opportunity to knock out a pariah and win some brownie points with the international community, as well as gain access to Nitom's natural resources that were being used to build their military. Win-win? Oh yes.

No warning was to be sent. The Nitom-Valkali people would be subjected to a surprise assault while their navy would be out pissing around with Alexiandra. Perfect. It was all just perfect. In a short time, the Legions that were mobilizing in the GWO would be toppling the "soup can" regime of Nitom.

Fascism would show its superiority once again.

Out of Character posts would most likely ruin the structure of the overall in character thread. For the sake of maintaining a smooth thread I suggest all future ones be posted in the appropriate location. (No offence intended)

Several kilometres off the Vakali-Nitomian coastline
En route towards complementing the Vakali-Nitomian reserve fleets
Unified Empire of Vakali-Nitom
The Black Knights Region (OOC: If this is the region you role play as being in)

Then so the fleet would arrive at this point. The ships sailed in glorious pride, proudly allowing the super-dreadnought among them (being pulled by tugboats for additional assistance) manoeuvring towards the Vakali-Nitomian homeland. The super-dreadnought was brought into a foreign deployment for one sole reason, to provide the Vakali-Nitomian homeland a portable, psychological form of deterrence, combined with sufficient air defence to crush either sides' plans to start a nuclear war, something which quite frankly, was not in the interests of the the People's Huangdiist Teikoku's overall leadership at the moment. They knew, however insane they could often be, that a nuclear war in this already terrible conflict could result in the Teikoku becoming the receiving end of too many weapons for her air defences to deal with, in addition to a potential economic downfall (to rebuild the air defences replacing those expended during the intercepting of a massive incoming nuclear storm, if successful in intercepting it of course). Compared to most super-dreadnoughts this one was designed with a major missile complement similar to that of numerous guided missile destroyers or cruisers, in addition to fulfilling the role of an air defence frigate in a way never before seen. These flagships served as a platform of intercepting nuclear warheads, as well as destroying them in their entirety.

The overall goal of this deployment, was rather to defeat the Vakali-Nitomian attempt at resorting to the nuclear solution, in addition to preventing the international community from using their nuclear weapons, thus the goal was to make sure both sides were kept in line. It was considered a deployment of "policing action", in order to "maintain order amongst the numerous belligerents of either side", these quotes taken directly from the Senior Cloistered Comrade People's Emperor himself when he secretly allowed the deployment over a cellular phone conversation, although occasionally in a difficult to hear times due to him being in a distant province fighting against the Yushuu Nuclear Conglomerate there. The deployment, while impressive, was still conceived to be something that would not constrain the Teikoku's South & South-East Asian defences any further. It was not too much of her forces that were being mobilized on foreign soil, fortunately, moreover it was with auspicious fortune that the Teikoku had found a useful mission for one of her three super-dreadnoughts, in which they were thinking were useless in modern warfare. Nevertheless, if it succeeded, the five others in queue for future construction would be up for consideration. If it failed, it did not matter to much for they would have died in honourable combat, yet the plan to build more super-dreadnoughts would be dropped.

In the end, the risks associated with this operation were combined with the threat of being uncovered, or even being internationally criticized for having sent forces in an undeclared war to engage, hence why the rules of engagement in this case have been drastically modified to stressed "self-defence only", or the "intercepting of weapons of mass destructions lobbed by either side of belligerents". In addition, even though the super-dreadnought was flying Dragon's Fury colours as well as camouflaging the nation of origin as best as possible, it was all-too obvious where she came from, if ever satellites happened to observe her movements from the very beginning. However, the People's Huangdiist Teikoku still believed they were doing something noble, regardless of which side they were doing it for. They were doing after all for the sake of defending all humanity's survival at this point, for fear that a nuclear exchange near Teikoku forces would be immediately known to the Nuclear Conglomerate whose corporate ambitions was to start a nuclear apocalypse by selling weapons of mass destruction to other nations. Although the Teikoku had done everything to prove the Yushuu that their dreams shall never happen, in addition to containing this potentially dangerous threat as well as preventing it from spreading outside her borders, it was still not a good thing to have a nuclear war...

Which would cause the Yushuu to have renewed determination in furthering their plans. Therefore, the idea of a Yushuu resurgence across the Teikoku, combined with the threat of either side of this conflict razing their countries to glass left the People's Liberation Resistance Army Navy with no other choice. This deployment was needed, no, it was necessary. Whether or not one liked it, at this point sacrificing one of the three super-dreadnoughts was seen as the best thing the leadership could do to regain international favour in the midst of stopping a potentially bloody nuclear exchange. There was also hints of the government planning to condemn any one nuclear exchange by any nation, even if it meant criticizing the Vakali-Nitomians for it (if they ever launched first). The Teikoku was a sensitive nation in a precarious situation after all, moreover helping the Vakali-Nitomians under cover was already enough risk in itself. Nevertheless, if the nuclear exchange could ever be prevented... then perhaps the super-dreadnought (if she survives) can also be used for the purpose of a negotiating platform in the near future. This was deemed quite necessary at this point, this was in the best interests of the all the diverse peoples under the unified banners of the Teikoku, after all.

Hitherto we come to the present situation. The Super-Dreadnought Missile Defence Squadron, the fleet assigned for this task, finally arrives in Vakali-Nitomian waters, the allied nation the People's Huangdiist Teikoku got her back bone dragged into this conflict to protect from the very beginning. In the end, this mobilization, could be seen as a beneficial one that needed to be there. From the deck of the super-dreadnought the Admiral stood alongside the ship's captain, observing through binoculars the ever imminently approaching Vakali-Nitomian homeland for which they were destined to protect as well as die for. However, some could say they were sceptical as to why they would defend a nation they never even heard of before. Yet nonetheless dying in battle for a Greater Cause was seen worthy of itself enough to not openly contest the decision behind these reinforcements. The Admiral decided to make a speech before the crew of the Ueusgi Kenshin. Through a wireless microphone/megaphone connected to all loudspeakers on board the ship, The Admiral blew a war horn to get everyone's attention before moving with the speech. Once this was accomplished, he immediately proceeded to make his pivotal, important point in the deployment.

"Men, women, children on board the Uesugi Kenshin, almighty vessel of our proud navy, I beseech thee to listen to my words. Now the time has come in a pivotal period of history, as we ourselves are here to make history. If we succeed in at least preventing the nuclear war, as well as proving the super-dreadnought's ability to fight, we would have made pivotal history here. Here me, Comrades of the IJN Uesugi Kenshin! We are here to die in honour, for glory, for the motherland, for all mankind! May our names be remembered by all whom deployed us, may our names be remembered for all eternity! May we become divinity for our deeds! We are warriors, ready to die!" the Admiral roared. The crew roared in return chants of war & victory, or chants of war & dying in honour. Everyone on board this ship thought they were selected by the divine will to meet their fates in the upcoming naval theatre, where they would die as honourable fighters that did their best to protect the Teikoku, to protect the Vakali-Nitomians, as well as to prevent the near inevitable, if possible. From here, the fleet began to slowly approach a random port, with most ships docking there as well as the submarines, while the super-dreadnought docked in the war a little distance from the harbour. However, the sheer size of the vessel, as well as the beauty of her massive array of armaments, would be the awe of many local Vakali-Nitomians from the coast to see such a magnificent vessel, the pride of the PLRAN.

VDS kingdom, southeastern russia, vakali sector

The vds kingdom was old. Very old. So old it was now never used for conflicts and was simply a pride statement of the vakali-nitomian government.

The ship had been committed in the reign of Manhal Millis's father joanhua millis. It's purpose was simple: apart from to greet diplomats, it was simply a literal gunship. It's sides were covered in great weapons systems, designed to crush many a larger fleet.

However, one reason kept it in service: Admiral madino loved it. He was born on this ship to a female doctor, and, since then, he had considered the ship a second home.

With the defection of Admiral mcmannus to the Vakolskrtm alliance for freedom, admiral madino was now in command of a fleet patrolling the whole of the relatively unpopulated south-east of russia.

The vakali had been told of the arrival of several large missile defence ships from Japan, but even he had not expected such a massive ship flying the dragons fury colors. Hurriedly, he ordered a slave to raise the dragons fury colors.

Franticly, she scurried off and the flag was raised.

"This is kingdom to uesugi Kenshin, can you here me," Madino spoke through the none-to brilliant radio connection.
The Vakali-Nitomian empire.

For all stats, add the stats taken from diol and nitom
The statistics for this nation are unimportant.

Calulated military force: 460,000,000 (with colonies and lands taken in rpies)(2% military force)

Several kilometres off the Vakali-Nitomian coastline
En route towards complementing the Vakali-Nitomian reserve fleets
Unified Empire of Vakali-Nitom
The Black Knights Region (OOC: If this is the region you role play as being in)

The captain as well as the Admiral were soon interrupted in watching the process of docking the fleet when the radio operator telling them of an incoming broadcast. The captain excused himself saying he was going to handle it, following the radio operator back inside the super-dreadnought's control room. "What is it?" was the question the captain asked before the radio operator directed him to an incoming Vakali-Nitomian broadcast which asked if the super-dreadnought fleet could receive their signal. On the spur of the moment the captain grasped the communications radio then clicked on it then enter the Vakali-Nitomian channel that had just come in to contact with the Uesugi Kenshin. He thought his words out carefully, preparing to formulate a request. "Kingdom, this is the captain of the Uesugi Kenshin, the super-dreadnought of this missile defence fleet. We are requesting that you make enough room for us to dock our massive vessel appropriately, in addition to the fact of which we need to make sure that both our forces can appropriately coordinate in the scenario of a nuclear missile exchange. After determining the possibility of such our government decided to make a major gamble in this war. If needed, we shall do our best to deflect incoming nukes. We also have all the appropriate equipment needed including the Aegis Missile Defence System to ensure success in this endeavour. Wish our auspicious fortune." the captain told the Vakali.

In the meantime the massive heavily armed super-dreadnought, in all her glorious force, with her numerous assets ranging from advanced sensoring & processing systems, electronic warfare, counter-measures to her complex air defences, cutting-edge guns, heavy armour, in addition a vast array of missile armaments, was a sight to behold. The impressive ship was ready to defend the Vakali-Nitomians at all costs, as well as they were ready to face the inevitable, to die in battle at sea. This plan would perfectly work as it was now apparent the right moment to escalate the Teikoku's "covert" presence in the war had come. The once small involvement the People's Huangdiist Teikoku had in the Vakali-Nitomian-Alexiandran War had now turned into a more or less larger one, involving nearly 81,165 personnel total manning the numerous ground forces, air forces, as well as naval forces involved in this conflict, in which a major number of these personnel are those in the ground forces, or those manning the super-dreadnought. This was the fourth largest deployment the People's Huangdiist Teikoku had ever committed herself to do on foreign soil, moreover such an involvement invoked risks. Risks which the personnel involved were constantly reminded of all throughout the duration of this war. The captain of the super-dreadnought in the meantime kept those thoughts to himself, wondering when would the homeland be saved for him to return seeing a gleaming nation.

The moment the first missiles began to arc towards their targets in Alexiandra, the rules of the game changed. What had been a military operation under the auspices of an independent taskforce tasked with the defence of an ally had been transferred to the direct command of General Headquarters, Kar-Fyrkondierikan, and with this shift in command hierarchy came a re-evaluation of the Anemonian presence and the State's objectives.

The payload of the missiles? Inconsequential. Because the fact remained that, assuming they followed through on the ballistic path which they were now on, detected by satellites and calculated at ground stations, the missiles hurtling through the darkness of space, the light of the stars gleaming off their metallic casings in open fields of silence, would land far from any Alexiandran military concentrations, into densely populated civilian areas. And for the Anemonians, that marked an unacceptable change in the enemy's military focus.

As those missiles tumbled in the depths of space, dragged back down towards earth by the planet's gravity and their own momentum, things began to move. A slumbering fleet, woken by the call of a higher power, changed course, setting sail no longer for the country they were to defend but that which they were to invade. The echoes of roaring jets sounded through grey skies as masses of fighters scoured air, sea and land for any in the path of the fleets, and submarines silently slipped through the deep blue ocean waters, their dull black forms near-invisible within the folds of darkened sea.

But even as that taskforce made for the enemy's shores, their sleek grey forms towering above rough ocean waters, cutting through them effortlessly, even as their might bore down upon the enemy, they were dwarfed. For even as their orders were handed down, further instructions had been passed around the Imperial Fleet bearing the authority of the Monarch and his Chiefs of Staff; where the initial mission had been defence, that had shifted with the enemy's decision to attack civilian population centres. And with that change came the need for additional assets; coupled with the mobilisation already occurring within the Anemonian state, orders had been handed down to Karonin earlier that morning, with immediate effect. And with those orders quickly implemented, it so happened that a force quite literally thrice the size of that of the initial taskforce had been assembled in the murky waters of the artificial Karonin First Lagoon, with orders to support Taksforce Thylshentyr in its operations and little else besides. Restrictions, rules of engagement... the bureaucratic red tape had been shredded, and military commanders given the clout needed to take the fight to the enemy. In the face of a changing battlefield, the Anemonians had brought their own gauntlets to the table.

The skies shine red, the winds stop blowing
Look to the horizon, mothers shrieking and bowing
Kneel and wail, flee with your children
The Wyvernking rides, and he rides for blood.

Bay. Bay for their blood. Bay for their lives, for their loves, for their lands. As they flee, flee in their masses, raze their homes and cities, slaughter the survivors. Where mothers weep, slaughter them, where children cry, slaughter their spawn.

What happened to the Alexiandran nation was of little concern to him. Standing here, within the deep, black marble halls of his forefathers, his father, himself, all he could feel was his distaste for a nation of warlike degenerates, warlike degenerates who deigned to threaten his nation's well-being with a child's war. That distaste wanted them on their knees, wanted them to know terror, and fear, and the misery of the defeated. And that terror, that fear, that misery; under the gleam of bayonets, on their knees in the blood of friends and family, they would know it all.

This was his will, and this was his armies' bidding.

The shores of Alexiandra, the main submarine of the fleet of submarines under the ocean:

To avoid detection by the ships and submarines engaged in battle above, the fleet had travel very deep into the ocean and it took them a while to rise to an appropiate level again once they reached the shores.

"Are all ships in position and ready to launch?" queried the commanding officer of the fleet.

After a minute of affirmative replies he gave the order.

"All ships are hereby ordered to launch their SLBMS"

The warheads were a mixture of biological and standard warheads, the biological warheads were targetting civilian populations while the standard warheads were aimed at industrial and military targets

The missiles totalled 1'783, launched from 97 submarines with varying capacity for them.

They lit up the shores with bright, glaring light as they rose from the waters.

I'll leave it to the others to interpret the damage, their ships and cities and all that.

EDIT:
Due to an assumption someone made because my post was unclear, I feel the need to clarify that my warheads are not nuclear, they're conventional.

You just made my peace-keeping & ABM task more difficult.

I also wish to make it clear thou shall not nuke from either side, as long as my policing forces remain here. >:(

Well, at least you received your required attention. The utter prevention of your provoking nuclear war has been achieved to certain respects. It is my hope you refrain from using nukes to get attention in the future.
Please do not use them, is that fine? :)

EDIT: Since the user has declared their missiles to hold conventional warheads I digress, other than the fact of which there really is no way for someone to know in character for sure.
Somewhere docked off the Vakali-Nitomian coastline
Complementing the Vakali-Nitomian reserve fleets & Providing Air Defence Roles
Unified Empire of Vakali-Nitom
The Black Knights Region (OOC: If this is the region you role play as being in)

Alas the time had come. On board the IJN Uesugi Kenshin, in the midst of the discussions between the Admiral, the captain, as well as their Vakali-Nitomian counterparts, a wonderful incident took place. Suddenly numerous sirens burst into full life as the super-dreadnought's electronics confirmed the crew's worst scenario. The over-the-horizon radar installed on the conning tower, combined with other sensors on board the massive superstructure had begun detecting what seemed to be a major salvo of submarine launched ballistic missiles which would cause more trouble than ever expected. It resulted in radar operators, watchmen, as well as air defence arms personnel scrambling around the vessel in all directions in a full conflagration of activity to counter the situation at hand. The super-dreadnought, once seen as a laughable weapon, was going to see her first truly serious role in modern warfare, a mobile anti-ballistic defence system designed with the necessary armaments needed to dismantle any nuclear strike within a certain area. This was after all the ultimate form of deterrence, something beyond anything that has ever been seen. As the crew prepared everything into action in the same way they were taught to based on the military drills performed back in Gulf of Thailand, the Admiral decided to go out to see what was going on.

"I need some understanding to the situation!" the Admiral asked to his fellow crew in the best of his ability in the midst of all the sounds, the noisiest being the sirens warning the impending ballistic missiles coming. A random naval officer near him demanded in reply, "Where on Earth is the captain, Comrade Admiral?! He is the one whom we need to see as well!" he asked the Admiral in desperation, yet the Admiral could simply reply that the captain was quite busy with communicating with Vakali-Nitomian naval forces on the other side to discuss the strategy ahead of them. Nevertheless the situation was swiftly changing into something quite different over time as this came into being. At last, everything was barely mustered in time, the ship's air defences in full combat readiness, whilst the crew was now ready to respond appropriately to the nuclear launch. The People's Huangdiist Teikoku would make it clear today that no nuclear exchange was going to be tolerated or allowed at this point in time. It was therefore decided to achieve a collective interception of the flying SLBMs in the air. All of the ship's electronics, combined with the Teikoku's missile defence satellite networks, began to exchange data between them to coordinate the appropriate response.

The Admiral went back into the captain's quarters telling the captain he would, as overall commander of the fleet, take assumption of the ship's control to fulfil the mission properly while the captain was busy. With this being approved he set out to coordinate the crew to appropriately respond to the situation at hand. A wonderful plan was therefore forged as a result. The super-dreadnought's numerous built-in vertical launching systems' cells were soon being loaded with a nice amount of RIM-161 Standard Missile 3 Aegis weapons, which were soon prepared in enough quantities to have two for each SLBM the enemy had mobilized. With that, the weapons were soon launched into the skies as soon as the order was officially given, which was then in turn complemented by a beautiful addition of RIM-174 Standard Extended Range Active Missiles to launch a force of weapons against the SLBMs, no matter which target they are headed for. An additional force of navalized S-500 ABM weapons were launched from other vessels in the Missile Defence Fleet to intercept the submarine launched weapons the fools attempted to deploy. It was after all the sole thing that had to be done at this point, considering how that certain nation had decided to nearly plunge everyone to their doom.

All that had to be done at this point was for the Admiral to watch in awe with his binoculars at the masses of surface-to-air missiles (modified to have an active radar terminal phase in addition to solid propellants to have a little more of a better range) as they were unleashed like fire-works unto the SLBMs, destroying as many of them as possible. The surface-to-air missiles were producing the sounds of wrathful banshees as the shrieked into the air, soaring towards the position of the origins of the SLBMs to attempt to intercept them as soon as possible. This had to be done since no one was certain if these missiles were nuclear & headed to civilian areas. The People's Huangdiist Teikoku knew all too well of the results of a nuclear exchange, which would allow the Yushuu Nuclear Conglomerate to commence their full out resurgence to resurrect their so-called ambitions for a nuclear apocalypse for the sake of their profiting from it. This was something that the state had done its best to prevent the scoundrels from spreading beyond its borders, yet policing action in a place involving her ally Vakali-Nitom meant that the Teikoku's People's Liberation Resistance Army Navy had to make sure that no nuclear exchange would ever occur. Ever.

I should probably come up with a title for my nation's leader.

Also, please excuse my horrible writing, I'm still not used to this style of role-playing

The leader's quarters within the government bunker located beneath the city of Muffins.

"The Navy is already on it's way to aid our allies Ma'am, we should be engaging them in a few hours but...."

"but..." she queried, looking up from her sweet tea.

"Our missiles have been intercepted by a force located near the shores of The Vakali-nitom Empire, the majority never reached their targets, Alexiandra has suffered very minimal damage"

"What!" She shouted slamming her cup down on the table, spilling most of it's contents "What are they doing! We were aiding them, why would they hinder us!?"

"Ma'am" he said nervously "the force appears to be a part of the Dragon's Fury Pact, not The Vakali-Nitom Empire directly"

"Contact them and demand an answer for their inteference!"

"We're already in the proccess of that, Ma'am"

"The call has gone through, sir"

"Right, This is Rear Admiral James Power, we demand an answer as to why you've intervened in our attack!"

"But sir--" "NO! I want The Atlantic Fleet in the United Kingdom ASAP!" President Walsh boomed. As soon as the words left his mouth, the seventy-four ships of the New Embossian Atlantic Fleet left a Severanian port in Spain and headed for the United Kingdom, for stationing inside Black Knight waters near Vakali-Nitom.

"Sir, Super Destroyers Terra and Emboss have reached Rally Point Zulu, and are ready for deployment" A naval crewman said to Admiral Johansen, Admiral of the Atlantic Fleet of the New Embossian Navy. "Very well then. Hail the destroyers and tell them that they are to toy with all enemy ships, without firing on them" Admiral Johansen said, with a smirk on his face. In the distance, the Atlantic Fleet charged towards the Vakali stronghold.

OOC: I'm just curious, is it possible for me to join in this thing? It says that the thread is open and while things may have progressed for quite sometime, I do hope for the opportunity to join in.

Soon sirens began to blare as the nuclear missile sites all accross Vakali-Nitom began toready for launch. This was a final step before a launch could be given. The targets for the missiles had already been determined and there would be UAV's to block any interception that anyone could use to destroy the missiles. The missiles, however, would not launch without the proper permission from Ethan M. Holstings or one of the other key holders for the nuclear arsenal. If this did not stop the enemy from even thinking of attacking then nothing else would. This was the final tactic that would be used before many of the targets would be glassed.
The Vakali-Nitomian empire.

Dammit, guys. Slow down, and give me time to post.

And Nitom, are you even reading the RP? If you were, you'd know that you didn't have to ready WMDs, because NONE of us are anywhere near you yet.

Council of ministers

"Now, explain to us all, mr. Holstings, what exactly you think you are doing?" Sanio Millis opened the meeting, a look of unsuppressed anger crossing his face.
"The situation with alexiandra is dire. If we do not go nuclear very soon, we will be wiped out."
"Yes, we will be able to negociate. If, and only if, we go nuclear, this will be the end."

Sanio Millis, his father Manhal Millis, and Ethan M. holstings had been overtaken by one massive argument.
Manhal Millis wanted to go with biological and conventional weaponry, Ethan m. Holstings seemed to be mad on going nuclear and Sanio Millis, chief governor-imperial of the western half of the vakali sector, was having none of it.
A look of unsuppressable rage, anger and shame crossed his face.

"Well, as we see, this idiocy passed through the parlaine. Now, it is time for the council to decide, is it not?"
"Yes."

The vote was cast:
Manhal millis's plan to go biological gained the least support, only one minister, Nisa marq, followed him.
However, both Ethan m. Holstings and Sanio Millis's proposals gained exactly half of the remaining vote.

OOC: wip

OOC: I just have to point this out; if you're planning on having your submarines engage my ships (which the implication seems to be), could you respectfully explain how you got past my own submarine cordon, ASW flights and escort screen?
