No Religion in Leboure

This is an unusual day in Leboure as mass murders happen virtually everywhere within the country. Prime Minister Tomasz Ulan said:

"Prince Franz Josef XXIX has ordered for all Lebourians with a religion to return to atheism, or meet the end. Out of around 6 million people in our country, 400.000 are followers of a religion. They have been asked by the Prince to return to atheism, compulsory under the Lebourian Constitution of 1945. 50.000 returned to atheism. 350.000 refused, so the Prince has ordered for them to be killed, so that the nation could be purged of religious people."

2 major newspapers and 2 major television networks were shut down as most of their staff were murdered and thrown into mass graves. Foreigners were forced to leave the country, and banned from entering it again. The government's official statement to foreigners are, as said by Prime Minister Ulan, "an Islamist unrest is ravaging the country." Foreigners aware of the mass murders are tortured and killed. Those unaware have returned to their countries safely. One of the murdered foreigners, a journalist, has asked: "Have you ever heard of civil rights? Human rights?" Prince Franz Josef: "We have never heard of such thing as your civil rights or human rights."

Mass murders are expected to continue for a week or two.

As an actual atheist nation that does not murder its citizens, the Empire of Ermarian sharply condemns such genocide. Atheism that does not inherently embrace the value of human life is no different from the worst excesses of religious cults.

Prime Minister Tomasz Ulan has been revealed to be a Roman Catholic, despite claiming to be an atheist. 2 hours ago, Mr. Ulan was working in his office when he received visitors which turned out to be officers of the Leboure Intelligence Service (LIS). Mr. Ulan was shot in the head and stomach. His body was buried in one of the many mass graves.

Prince Franz Josef XXIX made a speech from the Prince's Palace in capital city Halskar, attended by 5.000 loyalists:

"As I've said before the genocide will continue until all religious believers are dead. To all countries denouncing us, remember that Leboure is strong. Leboure is brave. 3 Imperial Battlegroups gather in the ocean, Leboure being a landlocked nation, it was more or less safe from the guns of Imperial battleships, and the Empire did not have Military access through its neighbouring nations. Still, there was more then one way to crack an egg. There were more battle groups converging on this position but for now the forces already arrayed will have to be deployed. The Empire will have to run a fast and heavy assault to get ground in Laboure to hold for reinforcments. That said, current forces should be enough.
