It's corrected now. It used to say "RPing Questions? Ask It Here!". Which was wrong, it should have been "Ask Them Here!" so that the plural of "RPing Questions" agreed with the plural of "Ask Them Here". But the way you've edited it now is fine because it leaves it ambiguous.

It says you edited it at 7:46 am. I'm assuming that that is when you made the correction.

I don't know if you were asked this before, but

How would one RP the opposite gender without making that character sound sexist or feminist/male version of that?

Just write them like people. Gender really shouldn't be a concern unless the dramatic nature of the story is inherently based upon gender dynamics (for instance, if your story is about a female commander dealing with misogynistic overtones and cultures within your military).

RPers tend to fall to a series of cliches for both male and females, and it's pretty hard to avoid them in many instances. Ultimately, the more you avoid thinking about gender as a master status, the better you'll be equipped to write them as a character.

Remember that it's not always a bad thing to be stuck in a sexist cliche - it happens to everyone, and it can be difficult to write an opposing gender. As long as you're aware of it to some degree and attempt to address it, however, you should be okay.

I mean, it does matter. You don't want to be cliched, but you also want to be accurate. Women and men are different. Clothes that they wear are going to have to, necessarily, be different, for instance. The rest depends upon the culture of your nation. My nation is... while not openly misogynist definitely in possession of different expectations for men and women. In the aristocratic class (which is essentially the only people I RP), women are expected to run the household which is more or less a full time job. This can frequently include running a vineyard or two. They're also expected to organize with other women and do initiatives and such. But much beyond that is considered unladylike. Women being involved in governance is unheard of barring a few historical exceptions. I RP my women very differently from how I RP my men.

I think gender is incredibly important and that this is a valid question. And it depends entirely on the culture you want. The advice given above works great if everyone is equal in your culture, but if they're not it's not applicable. I would say to make sure that while you follow the guideline of your nation's gender roles, avoid having all people of that gender fall into either the "Follows that stereotype exactly" role or the "Obviously contradicts that stereotype in every way" role. That's what I like to call the Star Trek Problem. Because, in Star Trek, every alien they encountered either followed a stereotype for that race exactly or was the polar opposite of it intentionally. Almost universally. And it just... gets old?

EDIT: Also, keep in mind, some people in a culture are going to be more traditional and some are going to be more modern! Even if your society is incredibly liberal, there can absolutely still be some incredibly morally conservative people who behave in a way in which, for your society, is outmoded.

Where should we go to report RPing issues such as extreme godmodding, flaming etc...? Their are none that I know of but I've seen some in the past and I would like to know where to report them.

Moderators typically do not police RPs. Examples of mod intervention can be when the OP has told a player to leave the RP, but said player refuses.
Overall, godmodding can be dealt with by offering a helping hand to aid the godmodding player. It is better to limit godmodding than to not RP at all. The alternative is to refuse to RP with them or you can refer them this thread, the mentors, or other veteran RPers that can allocate time to help them.
Either way, the RPers in the RP should all be able to cooperate with one another so that issues do not arise. If this can be done, an RP can move fluently and create a good story.

For flaming, trolling, and flamebaiting, you can create a thread in moderation to report the issue. Be sure to put [Report] in your thread title.

Hello!
I have a bunch of new RPers that do not understand how things work. Me telling them that one of the members can't move 185,000 soldiers at once (when his military is only 208,880) is apparently godmodding. If I could get a mentor to sort this out for me, that would be nice.

All of them seem incapable of understanding the difference between godmodding and making sure the rules and reality are not broken.

Depends on the Mentor. Some are pretty busy IRL and only get on infrequently; others might just be away for a couple of days. If your question goes unanswered for a day or two and it's important, feel free to TG another Mentor instead/as well.

Look them up on Google. Just search "Gimp" and "Realworld." They both need to be downloaded.

No specific year, they refer to tech level only. MT is comparable to IRL present day tech, PMT includes tech that is in development or has been proposed now.

I've heard that PMT is up to and including present-day + 50 years, but the definition really can vary. The one given in Euro's old II Stickies thread is "PMT is almost modern technology, technology that isn't out yet, but is in development. Technology in the 2030s, like New and improved missiles and airplanes", and the one in Jen's new version is "PMT is post-modern tech (10 plus years prior faster-than-light travel, depending on who you RP with)".

It's tough. What PMT is often depends on what your definition of FT is; PMT fills the "hole" between MT and FT, and as such, it's limits depend on where FT starts. I personally define FT as starting about thirty-fifty years after the present day, though others love the FTL distinction. Simply determine what the people you're RPing with hold as PMT, and work from there.
