And then Lord Ryzenmor shall seize the initiative and declare himself General Secretary-for-Life of the OECD. It'll be awesome. Why not use the old thread though? It creates a single thread with all information pertaining to our past meetings, and it isn't much of a hassle. I plan to have my delegates discuss alternatives to the present logo, fair trade, and perhaps a proposal to expand membership while also offering financial assistance to developing nations. So much to discuss.

The only problem I see off the top of my head here is that the economy rating isn't high enough (with the OECD requesting an 81, while you have a 75). I'm not sure what happens now, but I guess the Electoral Council will still hold a regular vote.

All right, everyone, send me your votes.

My apologies, I hadn't noticed you were going for observer.

In any case, I would be in favor of lowering the threshold to include nations with an economic freedom rating of seventy or higher. This would provide new markets for member-states and promote our mission in developing the economies of the world. That said, we ought to inquire after the stability of potential member-states too. A nation with a strong economy on the verge of a bust or civil war could drain resources that might be better allocated to a poor albeit stable nation.

The IC Virtual Telecommunications (basically an IC video conference that we use).

I promote the above message.

Virtual TeleConference. Essentially, we weren't actually with one another, but rather, on massive TV screens. Honestly, for little things, VTC is awesome as it allows conversation among the most important members of various different governments - or of the same governments, different branches, or different lower echelon governments within a larger government, the sort - without actually having the hassle of getting everyone together in one room.

However, we would still need to have personal accords and meetings face-to-face. Such as this one that I'm going to try and write soon so I can get you guys busy on doing something while I get too busy doing my own things.

It seems that you all have ignored my message regarding the infringement of copyrights regarding my motto. Now this is the final ultimatum - change your motto within 72 hours or else I will complain against all OECD members in the Moderation forums.

Threatening with moderation actions, using mods as a tool is a warn-able offence. Besides, I have already proved that you do not have a copyright on the motto, so please go away from here.

Ignoring a message implies that we didn't acknowledge it was placed or that it existed on the thread. What we did was debunk it, primarily because we found that you have no basis for such an request.

Secretary to Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
The Constitutional Monarchy of Heleventia

Dated: 1 July 2013.
Reference: None.
Subject: Infringement of motto copyright.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This missive bears to you the message of our Rt. Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sir Daniell Williams. The Constitutional Monarchy having issued several requests in the past two weeks pertaining to the removal of the motto of the organisation you are the secretary of; realising that such requests have fallen upon deaf ears, issues an ultimatum on this day of July the first of the two thousand and thirteenth year of our lord. This missive thereof shall comprise the said ultimatum.

The Constitutional Monarchy finally requests the removal of the motto "UNUS PRO OMNIBUS, OMNES PRO UNO" (which is translated as "One for all, all for one") the uncapitalised version of which stands as the motto of The Constitutional Monarchy and has been plagiarised to form the motto of the O.E.C.D., thereby violating several provisions of the Government Copyright (Prevention of Infringement and Violations) Act, 1968, the Clause 8.1 (C) which authorises the Heleventian Government henceforth: "to subject the violating entity to an international court." and "prosecute the entity within the framework of Heleventian laws."

Exercising the said powers, the Constitutional Monarchy sets the deadline as 1200 (12 noon) of July the third of the two thousand and thirteenth year of our lord at the expiry of which the actions mentioned henceforth will be taken against the O.E.C.D. The Government of Heleventia will file a case in the international court of law (OOC: complain to mods) and issue an international warrant along with the request of your extradition (to Xaixini and Mizaland) to Heleventia for facing criminal charges here.

Have a good day.

You can't put a claim on a well known Latin phrase, so this is a pre-emptive 'no' that we won't act on it.

I suppose we could take this up in the next meeting. I won't be a particular advocate of such a decision unless the UAR finds something it really likes and would prefer it to be the motto, but otherwise, the UAR will remain neutral.
