Would these still be jobs of the SoGrowth? They are not in the new constitution that I see.

They are now my jobs

These would become duties of the President as per Vancouvia's proposal.

But alliances are covered in VII 4.

I would like RP updates every week or so if possible. Sometimes I even feel lost as to what is going on because a lot doesn't happen on the news thread. A bullet point list of what is happening would be nice, and then we could gradually form this into a newsletter. If you think this is too much, that's why I've provided for committees.

Can committee members be other officers? For instance I could ask the SoRP to be on the committee?

I suppose, but they should be concentrating on leading their own

I don't see why it make sense for those to be powers of the president.

A.) that puts a lot more power into the president, and

B.) it's the secretary of GROWTH. I'm pretty sure regional growth has a lot to do with embassies.

Oh, question. Why don't we just keep the same jobs and job titles. A whole bunch less confusing.

Regional growth has almost nothing to do with embassies.

The President accepting embassy requests takes like 2 minutes a week and is non-consequential. I originally had it under my authority but that was too #tyrannical so Agadar told me to give it to the President.

It's not really confusing and they have different jobs, hence different titles. The titles are as straightforward as possible.

Except Growth has to do with Foreign Relations, which has to do with Embassies.

K.

But what I'm saying is, what don't we just keep the same titles and jobs? Still get rid of the SoEndo and VP, senate and court, but why change the other positions?

Growth has absolutely nothing to do with foreign relations. It's only concerned with attracting and assimilating members. They're new positions

I said in the OP. It's task-oriented. Everything concerned with getting and keeping members is in one position and that's all. Same with role-play.

Vancouvia knows best. He is love. He is life.

Seriously though, I like how compact the proposal is. The offices cover all possible scopes as far as I can tell (outside of Defense) and whatever positions the officers deem needed (Vice President-like positions, ambassadors, reporters, recruiters, and so forth) they can create themselves via Executive Orders.

The Senate is cancer.

On Government: Checks and balances and ways of stopping things from happening are the only things that provide a stable government and a stable society.

On Democracy: It is a very neutral thing. It can be the best way of ensuring a reasonable government, or it can lead to genocide in the name of 'the people'.

On NSG: I believe the technical term for you people is "malformed conscience".

On society: Until reason and science become cool again, the "enlightened" who profess both but practice neither will continue to gleefully chip away at the bedrock of human society.

I say just scrap everything but executive, make EOs be approved by the prez, and repealable by public poll of a petition gains enough signatures to start one.

I meant repeal not repeat lol. In other words, if the community doesn't like an EO placed by an officer and approved by the president, or they like an EO and want to overturn the president's veto of it, then they can get a petition signed and once it has 10 to 15 nations on it, the EO is put to a vote via poll.

Because that's the Democratic way to do things. Sign an angrily worded letter calling for a vote.

I do like the suggestion. The only other way of getting an EO repealed would be by challenging the officer, winning the election, and then repealing it, which is quite severe just for dealing with an impopular EO. It would also put a check on the President's EO's in particular, which would otherwise be completely unchecked.

EDIT: On another note, why are Interior Executive Order 2 (no aliens allowed) and Interior Executive Order 6 (no puppets on the map allowed) being repealed as well?

I would like to have an official role in the region- I was running to be a Senator yet it may now be disbanded.

How could I do this?

That's not really relevant to the purpose of this thread.

On Government: Checks and balances and ways of stopping things from happening are the only things that provide a stable government and a stable society.

On Democracy: It is a very neutral thing. It can be the best way of ensuring a reasonable government, or it can lead to genocide in the name of 'the people'.

6 was kinda illegal when it was issued, I just didn't challenge it. 2 is such a basic thing that I didn't think it necessary to include. I wanted to just get pretty much a total blank slate and then new officers can do what they need.
