What is this?
This is an interactive election roleplay for the first elections in the newly independent Republic of Pisdara. Create a party or independent candidate, create posters and a platform, make speeches, and woo enough support to gain seats in the Legislature and municipal councils!
The Situation in Pisdara
A small archipelago off the coast of Nautasia, Pisdara is home to 28,000 people and has had a previously stable (if at times misguided and corrupt) democracy under Aininian control. After a disastrous three-month reign under the far-right Radical National People's Party and a failed coup to stay in power by said party, the provisional government has successfully given Pisdara full independence from its former colonial master, and is ready to once again form a democratic government. However, have the wounds left by the former regime healed? Will the large nomadic population finally gained the representation it so deserves and protected its interests against further discrimination. Will the new republic distant itself from Ainin, or will it stay with its former colonizer? Will the working class rise up and stop their possible exploitation, or will sweatshops bloom? Can Pisdara's unique environment survive, or will it be destroyed under the guise of an economic boom? All this and more awaits you!
How do I sign up?
Just fill out the form below and post it to this thread! I will approve your party and provide translations into Pisdari and French! Also take note that you can RP as an independent candidate, beholden to no party. If you wish to do so, just sign the application below the political party one! For names, I generally use these generators while picking Pisdari and French names!

You can also form an electoral alliance/coalition with another party to contest the elections. Joint lists have both pros and cons, having the ability to connect similar-minded parties and stop vote-splitting, but can force individual parties in the electoral alliance to possibly be sidelined and even become dependent on the dominant party. An electoral alliance can mean that parties campaign together or even pull out candidates in a constituency in order to boost the candidates of a fellow partner.
