Invitations to Leutensia (Sunalaya Only)

Postby Leutensia » Mon May 23, 2016 2:09 pm

After many, many years of isolation, the Holy Theocracy of Leutensia is finally ready to invite guests from the international world into the country. This has already been documented as the first time in nearly one thousand years that foreign people will be allowed access to the country peacefully.

The whole world has turned their eyes to the small nation, as its Prince, Vesuvius prepares to take the throne in only two days time, having been granted the holy flames of the Mother Goddess. The Prince wishes to invite those from the international community to partake in this joyous event, and to establish relationships with all those nations and leaders who will lead Leutensia into the light of the world.

The long and narrow streets of the capitol Lebriv were filled with people, all cheering and waving small Leutensian flags, as a parade walked by, performing beautiful marching music. There were dozens of flame tossers and fire spitters, as well as gymnasts, long rows of musicians and floats, and of course Prophetesses who spoke to those who wished to speak, down the lines. It was a happy day. One that was desperately needed after the death of the previous Gerent. The main street which housed the parade ran all the way from the border bridge to the capitol directly to the palace, making it the longest street in the country. It was perfect to accommodate all the people who wished to watch. Everyone wanted to see the parade. Not only because of what was in it, but because of what was to follow. Behind the parade, would be the open horse-drawn carriages of international ambassadors from all over Sunalaya. Any and all who wished to come to see the crowning of the Gerent could, as well as tour the country and speak politics with the leader himself.

Not part of the story:

Hi! When you come to the capitol, you should know two things.
One, there are no air ports, so you can only come in by ship or land in an airport of someone else nearby and drive over.
Two, please roleplay your people receiving some sort of invitation and coming to the country, as well as their first impressions of seeing all the people watching them and the parade. The parade is heading into the castle grounds, where Prince Vesuvius is waiting for you all.

Enjoy!

Kingstown, Rhodevus
Sierra Abrams

"Message for you or the Queen." A man walked into the gym, which was on one of the upper levels of the Imperial Palace. One of those levels that the public was unable to gain access to, lest they gawk at the Princess Heir in workout clothing. Sweat was beading down Sierra's face as she slowed down the treadmill. Stepping off, she tightened her elastic which kept her hair out of her face and in a tight pony-tail. Except for a small strand of hair which managed to free itself; Sierra carefully placed it behind her ear, as she walked over to the man who held a thin envelope to her.

"Who is it from?" She asked, looking at the seal.
"The Gerent of Leutensia, your highness." The man replied, while she opened the letter.
"How many times have I to ask you. If Diana allows you to call her by her first name, you can do the same to me as well." She smiled at him, as she pulled out the letter. She read aloud. "Honoured guest. It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the Holy Theocracy of Leutensia to partake in the ascension of our new Gerent. It is his own request, that those from outside the country join him, as he wishes to expand diplomatic relations abroad."

"Invited to a party, are we?" The man said, "Shall I call your wife and see if she is attending?"
"No, no. Ymira is busy with the war in Senkaria, just like Diana. Also, she left Rhodevus for Rezua a while ago. I think it'll be best if I go alone. Also, I don't know how they'll react to a... lesbian, being a Theocracy and all."
"Very good, my lady-ah-Sierra. Shall I inform the Queen as to your departure?"
"Please do. I will be heading for Kingstown International Airport in an hour. Don't worry about my packing or security. I'll arrange everything."
"Very good, Sierra."

Sierra stepped on to the private airplane. There were already soldiers and security inside the plane waiting for her. "To Leutensia." She said.
"Well, miss. Leutensia doesn't have any airstrips or air ports. So we are to be landing in Cill Airne and driving to the border."
Sierra paused for a moment. "Ah, okay then..."
She fastened her seat belt and the plane took off into the sky and flew to Cill Airne. They then all borrowed an SUV from the Rhodeve Embassy in the country and traveled East to Leutensia.

After showing the soldiers guarding the border entry point their passes, they traveled to the capitol of Lebriv. There they were met by some people who put Sierra and a single chosen guard into an open carriage, and away she went, unable to speak with any other diplomats she recognized. The two horses pulling her oaken carriage were brilliantly white and well-trained, as they followed the large and festive parade without anyone controlling them. Sierra smiled and waved at all the crowds below, who were taking pictures at seeing such a foreign person. It was so strange to Sierra to see people who had never even seen a picture of Rhodevus, or knew anything about the country. She knew she would have to be on her best behaviour at all times. She would be the first representative of Rhodevus ever in the country. It was a big responsibility and one she hoped she would not screw up.

Rezua
Shortly before the parade

The invitation to attend the parade in Leutensia arrived in Rezua at an unfortunate time. Ymira was too busy dealing with the war in Senkaria to read the invitation from Leutensia to a national parade. The Empress knew that the parade was important, but knew leading the war effort was far more important. In the end, Christina was chosen to be sent to Leutensia.

Princess Christina began walking towards the plane she was flying to Leutensia. It was a seaplane of course, it would be faster than by ship. The princess herself was flying, an activity she was rarely able to do these days. Christina wore formal attire (OOC: suit or dress, can't decide) and even a small crown on her head. If Rezua was going to appear to a nation for the first time, it'd better be magnificent.

Christina flew the plane with relative ease, despite not having flown a seaplane many times. It was her landing that scared half her guards to death. She began her descent at the appropriate time, and had her landing floats hit the water correctly, but she was unused to not having a solid runaway below her. In pure excitement, Christina gunned the engines and began to mess around on the surface of the water, bouncing around, pulling up and doing tricks. When she finally did "land", her guards were pale faced and had dug into their seats. One man looked up at Christina with eyes wide in terror "Ma'am, I'm never letting you fly me anywhere again." Christina laughed at her guards' "weak stomachs" and exited the plane with a smile. Her days of being a pilot had never left her.

In a few moments, her guards recomposed themselves and walked with her. A vast crowd of people had crowded the pier to see the plane that Christina had come in. Christina smiled as children ran up to her and gawked at her aircraft. "That is a seaplane." Christina explained to the children "One day, maybe you'll be flying one." Christina made her way through the adoring crowd to the start of the parade, her guards struggling to keep up with her. Christina smiled and said "Hello, I am Princess Christina Everen, is there a car I am suppose to travel in?" The attend blinked in surprise "You did not know? You will be in a horse-drawn carriage."

One of Christina's guards pulled her aside and whispered "Ma'am, I refuse to allow you to travel in that. You are left too vulnerable." Christina chuckled "I will ride in that carriage. Rezua is depending on me to make a good impression. Besides, these people don't know me, how could they hate me? All I have to fear is my sister-in-law's wrath and complaining. Plus, what princess refuses to ride in a carriage." Her guard reluctantly agreed to let her take the carriage but rode in it with her. He sat while she stood, smiling and waving at the cheering crowd.

Sandor Palace, Port Davidson, Aquidneck
A few days before the parade

"Your Majesty a letter has come for you from Leutensia." A servant said as he brought the letter to the King. "Thank you." King Matthew read the letter over quickly. "It is an invitation apparently they are enthroning a new Gerent... I assume that is their equivalent to a king. We should send a representative." The King thinks to himself before addressing the servant again. "Go fetch Robert. It is time he went out in the world and did his duty for the nation." The servant bowed and rushed off to find the Prince.

Prince Robert arrived a few minutes later "You called for me?" "Yes, Rob I need you to represent the nation in Leutensia at their coronation ceremony. They are opening up to the world and we need to be there. This will be the first time you represent the nation internationally in a diplomatic way. Remember your training, I have faith in you." "Thank you father, I would let you down." Robert boarded the Royal Yacht and departed for Leutensia.

A few days later the yacht docks at Lebriv. The Prince got on land and looked around. "This is nice. Very fancy." A person gestured towards the carriage and Prince Robert and his bodyguard got in. The Prince waved and smiled at the people of Leutensia. "I normally don't like the carriages and parades but this is quite nice." Robert said idly to his bodyguard. The carriage made its way to the castle.

Off the Coast of Leutensia
John Greene LPD Troop Dispenser
Ashwin H. J. Kaywater & Tommy Pilleon

After some initially rough communications with the Leutensians, the LPD was able to be let into Leutensian waters, and was escorted by a couple of Leutensian naval vessels, the two Zanerian guided missile frigates trailing behind. Meanwhile the large tilt-rotor CV-200C Golden Eagle was preparing for take-off. It was to deliver the diplomat Ashwin H. J. Kaywater and his assistant Tommy Pilleon to the assigned location, a safe, large field relatively close to the beginning of the parade. The tilt-rotor would require some landing space with it's size, but they were prepared for any relatively tight fits. Any fit too close might end up throwing the buffeting winds back at the tilt-rotor, which would could result in dangerous conditions. But they were confident there was a decent-size field to land in somewhere.

Ashwin was unsure about the tilt-rotor. He was more used to comfortable ways of traveling, and he felt out of place in his suit amongst all the military equipment and uniforms. The crew jested that the ship was an over-sized fully-equipped yacht, and Ashwin replied that Leutensia lacked airports, so the government decided for a more direct route. There was also the strong possibility of feeling the need to make some kind of statement, and the crew should probably be honored to show up in the waters of a thousand-year isolationist nation. Nonetheless, the crew still stole quick glances, and made some snide remarks when they weren't around, at the two men in their suits for most of the trip.

Ashwin was strapped in in the center of the tilt-rotor, and the pilots were cracking some jokes. "Sometimes we do some paratrooping exercises. All those airheads would sit in the back there and we'd open the door. Then they'd jump right out of the plane one after another."

"Don't you count as an airhead since you're a pilot?" asked Ashwin aloud in his mic.

"No, I just have my head in the clouds. But them, their heads catch all kinds of air."

"I hope I don't have to go parachuting?" asked Tommy.

"Unless the Leutensians decide we're not welcome all of a sudden, we won't have to worry about bailing."

"You mean we can very well be attacked?" asked Ashwin.

"Assume the worst and hope for the best. Don't worry, I think this thing can take whatever flak the Leutensians decide to throw at us," said the co-pilot. The Pilot nodded in agreement, checking the gauges one last time before lift-off.

The two suited men braced themselves as the lift-off sequence began. They felt the wheels suddenly 'detaching' from the deck, as the tilt-rotor climbed to a suitable altitude, at which it would start acting more like a plane than a 'copter, though with the distance they had to go they wouldn't need very much forward thrust. Soon they were passing over the sea of Leutensia and flying over land, and after some searching, they found a suitable place to land. They hovered near the area for a few minutes, waiting for local officials to get the area sufficiently clear, before the tilt-rotor touched down. The two pilots checked everything and making sure the landing area was relatively clear before opening the large door at the back of the craft. They turned off the engine and the blades slowly came to a standstill. The pilots looked back to find a relatively loose Tommy, who just unbuckled his seat belt, and a relatively tense Ashwin, who was just unbuckling his.

The two suited men thanked the pilots, got the briefcases, and exited the door of the tilt-rotor. They descended the gradual ramp and walked a ways before being directed somewhere by an official, talking in rough English that a horse-drawn carriage was waiting for them. Ashwin and Tommy let the man lead the way.

Lebriv, Leutensia
Chan. Ludvig Maxis & Commissar Mikhail Rokossovsky

"To think that something so authentic would be used as a method of transporting national leaders" Chancellor Maxis contemplated, sitting back and enjoying the view that was the capital of Lebriv, as the horse drawn carriage offered an opportunity for the old man to take in the environment that surrounded him, the ambient parade that performed it's ecstatic marching music, the people who lined the sidewalks, cheering wildly and waving their nation's flags in a show of fierce patriotism that rivaled that of the Bolsheviks in Kiez. "Tell me, Herr Commissar..." Maxis began, as he waved to the people with a grin on his face "Do you have the itinerary for the national leaders that have responded to the invitation?" While Maxis realized that many monarchist nations would be in attendance for the festivities, this burden was lifted off of his shoulders as the handling of official business would be left to the Commissar of Internal Affairs, who held a clipboard with the itinerary of today's participants.

Rokossovsky, who wasn't as close to Maxis as everyone else was stared down at his tablet, going through the list of national leaders and representatives who were already present, to his slight relief, two of the Reich's new found allies were present for the festivities, Rezua's Princess Christina Everen was present as well, and a new nation had responded to the invitation as well, the Monarchy of Aquidneck had sent their Crown Prince to the nation to represent them. "The Technocratic State of Zanera and the Rhodeve Commonwealth have sent representatives, as well as the Empire of Rezua and the Monarchy of Aquidneck have all sent representatives to this event, Herr Maxis." Rokossovsky calmly replied as he placed the tablet on his lap and lied back on the carriage. While Rokossovsky would have brought a heavy security detail along with him, as interacting with a relatively new nation would warrant such a response, Maxis decided that in order to make a more friendly impression, a minimal security detail of six BSPA Agents would be brought alongside the two representatives of the Reich, with half protecting Maxis, and the other half assigned to protecting the Minister of Internal Affairs.

"Well it is good for them all, It will make for some rather interesting dialogue when we arrive, but for now, let us help lighten the mood of the people!" Maxis smiled as he looked to the people amassed on the sidewalk, waving his hand at them with a grin on his face, the expression of an old man that would lift the hearts of anyone who was a witness to it.

As the parade was drawing to a close, the horse-drawn carriages containing all the leaders who wished to visit Leutensia arrived at the center of the city, in the Gerent's castle. The parade would continue to travel around the city for the next short while, but the leaders and ambassadors for their countries would all have a chance to meet the newly crowned leader of Leutensia, Gerent Vesuvius. Vesuvius as he preferred to be called was a twenty year old man with dark short hair and a thin shadow of a beard that seemed to fit him perfectly. He wore a simple fitted suit with no tie, but around his waist was a spectacular and very old relic of a belt. On the belt was very deep engravings, containing the full original recorded verses of the Mother Goddess when she spoke with Leuten, the very first Gerent. On his head was a small metal ring, made from an iron-alloy, which acted as his crown. He held out his arms. "Welcome, welcome! It is a pleasure to speak with so many new faces. I welcome all of you to the Holy Theocracy of Leutensia. May the Mother Goddess shine her light on all." His voice was a low pitch, but full of friendliness. "Now, I know there is much to discuss, but if you would all be willing, I invite all of you to join me on a tour of Leutensia. Along the way, we can discuss in private anything you wish to, before we all speak together in two days time. Thank you all for coming, now follow me."

Gerent Vesuvius lead everyone to a limousine. He stepped in, followed by all the leaders and other ambassadors. It was very nice, though not decorated like a normal fancy limo, and contained proper seats. Once everyone was in, the car began to drive outside the castle, using a secondary entrance, which involved a metal gate being raised, leading to a road.

The first stop made, was outside a statue. "This is the final resting place of my father and the spirit of my aunt. Upon his death, the Gerent was burned along with the artifacts held precious by the High Prophetess, his sister." Vesuvius closed his eyes and held his temple with his right hand, as a small form of silent prayer. "Let us move on. We have an hour before we reach Segnox, our largest city, and what I hope will soon become our first trade city." With that, the car moved on along the roads. Vesuvius was sitting in the back of the car alone, and would be there if any other leaders wished to speak with him alone.

Représentant Mathéo S. Osmond Aaron Poincaré au Horlogers de Benett was chosen to comply with the Leutensian Invitation and arrive at the foreign country. Aaron held a minor diplomat and office worker position in d'Fleuves but recent improvement and a new degree prompted the cabinet to send him on this important diplomatic mission, in what would be the start of ages long relations of friendship with Leutensia. Aaron was put on a government rented yacht along with others who were invited to see the coronation such as Mary, Aaron's wife. Dressed in formal suit and dress the couple seemed to enjoy their few day journey to the coronation.

"Land sighted!"
shouts one of the coming guests and behold a city is seen on the horizon. Aaron, shocked at the sight of such old buildings.
"Not even a small airport, they have"
remarks the guest. His name was Jean-Paul, one of the Prémier's close friends.
"Such beautiful architecture, it's like being thrown all the way back to 18th century d'Fleuves. They've developed well in time considering a thousand years of minimal world contact."
Said Aaron, staring in awe at the city slowly creeping in from the horizon, it's as if the yacht isn't moving but the land is.
"I wonder how the people are"
"As a sociologist, you really like to get close to people, J.P"
"You got me. Listen, I could write my doctorate on this!"
"Doctor J.P, sounds odd hearing that"
"D.J.P, I actually like that"

The city sailed close to the yacht and soon the pier aligned itself with the yacht and it has landed. Upon arrival, the three guests were greeted with great honour, they felt like medieval knights coming back from a battle. Loading up on the carriage with the other international leaders, they felt like princes medieval knights who are now going to become kings of the world.
"Once in a lifetime..."
Only few words could describe the experience. The carriage entered the city center and the people, oh, the beautiful people of Leutensia, they were all pure, nothing like the mixed races of the rest of the world. The carriage toured around the city before meeting with the soon-to-lead prince. Small-talk and greetings were abrupt as the guests had to get on the limousine, where the discussions could continue.

Upon arrival at the Prince's father's resting place Aaron exclaimed
"He is in a better place..."
Jean-Paul, eager to learn more was quick to ask questions
"Amazing. Tell me, how do your people perceive death? Do you believe in the afterlife? Reincarnation of the soul? Or does death just holds a fact of life. If appears as you have great respect to the fallen."

Gerent Vesuvius nodded his head. "Yes, history is quite important to us. It is how we can connect with our ancestors and how we can shape ours lives for the better. Though, I do admit that for a very long time we were too focused on the past, and not enough on the present or the future."

"Afterlife?" Gerent said confused. He knew full well there were many religions in the world, but he knew only of his own. "When one dies, their life essence is returned to the Mother Goddess. They become one with her and are used to reshape new life. So, this may count as a strange sense of reincarnation, except it is not the bringing back of a single being's essence, but a mixture of many. how do your religions make sense of their being so many different kinds of life, from plants to animals to little bugs we cannot see with our eyes. The Mother Goddess reshapes the life essence of those that passed into something else that the world needs. Whether this is another human, or another tree, or butterfly or earwig. All life is precious at it all comes from the same source. Now, to address your confusion, we do still eat meat and all manner of plants, but it is why there are simple prayers before meals. It is why our three main meals of the day are called Ludveh, Eitah and Rimei. The names of the meals in our language are truly the blessings over them. Thus, we shall never forget."

To answer the De Feluvian's final question, Vesuvius needed to pause for a moment to collect his thoughts. "Death is a fact of life, for without death, there would be no joy to live. It does not mean we do not fear it. Nobody wishes to go, but we all know that in the end, to die means to return our life essence to the Mother Goddess and to be mixed into a new life."

Vesuvius smiled shyly. "Our religion is confusing to many. Because it is so ingrained in our society, it has shaped us dearly. We know that our religion is not identical to how it was practiced one thousand years ago, or even before that. The ancient scrolls say that we prayed to the sun, believing that it was the light of the Mother Goddess. We now know it is just a star. One of many in the night sky."

Ashwin decided to listen to the questions and answers of the other diplomats. The man was willing to speak much of a rather large part of his nation. Religion obviously affected public policy to a as-of-now rather uncertain level, and it would be fascinating - and useful - to learn about Leutensia's religion, to understand it all, in then be able to propose the accurate and precise Leutensian-Zanerian deal. Listening to mostly everything would undoubtedly aid in understanding this nation and what deals would most likely be agreed to. As a matter of fact, the diplomats in this car, the ones who are listening anyway, may now be the foremost experts on Leutensian religion, who are not Leutensian citizens. It would be useful to write it all down. Ashwin looked at Tommy, and saw him writing rapidly on a small notepad. It seemed he could break the pen if he tightened his grip or pressed down any more than what he was already doing. Ashwin turned away and decidedly kept listening, and trying to remember.

Prince Robert got out of the carriage that took him to the castle ready to be diplomatic and greet the hosts but was instead ushered into a limo to take a tour. He quietly took in the sights and respectfully bowed his head when the Gerent appeared to be praying at the shrine that was their first stop. His eyes lit up at the prospect of trade in the city of Segnox. Shipping was a major industry for Aquidneck and he hoped to work out a good deal with the new Gerent to open up a new trading partner.

When the delegations were back in the limo he approached the Gerent when he seemed to be free. Robert bows his head as he greets the Gerent for the first time. "Good evening, I am Prince Robert of Aquidneck. It is an honor to be invited to your coronation. I hope this is the first step in a long and prosperous relationship between our two nations. I hope you don't mind me asking, but I am curious as to why you decided to open up your nation after all this time?"

Christina was making light conversation because she was about to turn to buiseness

"I have noticed that your people are craftsmen. Are you interested in trading for ores, minerals, stone? Rezua has all these building materials. Perhaps you'd also like seaplanes? To make trade easier in the beginning. Ships can bring most things, but seaplanes could get trade moving swifter."

"Good evening, I am Prince Robert of Aquidneck. It is an honor to be invited to your coronation. I hope this is the first step in a long and prosperous relationship between our two nations. I hope you don't mind me asking, but I am curious as to why you decided to open up your nation after all this time?"

"Good evening, Prince Robert of Aquidneck. It is a pleasure to meet you." Gerent Vesuvius replied. "It is not a problem at all that you asked such an important question. My father was very steadfast in his beliefs that Leutensia should remain isolated from the greater world. He kept his policy to keep us from every knowing anything about what was happening outside our own little country. But, as great as he was, I was... much more rebellious against his wish. It took many years for me to learn even small facts about those which surround us here. I saw ships with flags from other nations far from our coasts, and I even ventured a visit to our only port in Lejima, where I used my influence as the prince to learn English from our one and only educational partner De Fleuves. So, when my father died, and I inherited the throne, I saw it as my duty to open up my country to the world and learn more about what went on outside my land."

Rezua wrote:Princess Christina moved to sit next to Getent Vesuvius. She smiled and said "My father is buried in the Royal Tomb. The tomb was made hunreds of years ago with very fine details however, I must say that is a very nice statue." He listened to discussion of an afterlife and said "I don't think any of of really know what it is like. But I bet it's better than what we all think.

"Yes, Leutensia is filled with craftsmen and stoneworkers. My people have used techniques which date back hundreds of years, all of our great works are done by hand. And yes, I would be very much interested in having our nations do trade with the stones and ores and minerals. When we stop next at Segnox, I will introduce you to my new Master of Trade, who can discuss with you more about the details. I am of high hopes that others such as yourself can help me to rebuild Segnox into a prosperous trade city."

Finally, the car arrived in Segnox. Vesuvius spoke to everyone, so they could know more about the place. "This city here is Segnox, our largest city with a population of one million inhabitants. It lies deep in the Ensian Valley, the lowest point of Leutensia, and is right next to the Segnox Plateau. After some time here, our final stop is on the other side of the plateau at Mount Leuten, our highest mountain and the location of our most holy site. Some history on Segnox is in order. The city was founded in the early 300s Before the Time Which is Common. That is to say, Common Era. It was the ninth city to convert to Ensian, our holy faith. It has been rebuilt numerous times over the course of its existence, after brutal fighting done by outside empires, and inner struggles. These inner turmoils often revolved around our faith as it was adapted to new learnings. Ours is a faith which wants to find the truth. So, misconceptions are often disregarded even if there are ancient scrolls written about these endeavors. Only a few practices have remained mostly constant, which are the ritual burnings of the deceased, the reading of the sacred texts during the times of the Blood moon and the feasts during the times of the No Sun; what we have come to learn that the moon has blocked out the Sun during the day.

Now, as you can see, Segnox is filled with many old buildings, as well as many new ones. There are important jobs here, such as the manufacturing of our clothing and burning of oils and coals for our energy. Though, I have already heard that many places are changing from these to more safe ways of energy. Those which will not destroy our skies. Now, if you want to, you can look around here, but please be careful. Though crime is low, many do not know this language and only speak in my proper tongue."

Ashwin leaned over close toward Tommy and whispered," What say you, we go and have a gander at their industrial capacity? And a few other things of note too. Here, I'll take a notepad too."

Tommy agreed, and started pulling out a notepad for Ashwin. "Well, we'd like to tour the city despite the lingual difference. Many tourists visit foreign nations each year not knowing the language, and ancient travelers used to tour foreign lands and get to know their cultures and languages and cuisine. Though Leutensia has changed, it has remained the same. We'd be like those ancient travelers, wouldn't we?" said Ashwin, smiling humoredly.

The Capital - Few Days Before
Hestia, Serra

Princess Relora sat at table with her friends, laughing and having a good time. Viceland was this building of luxury everyone was allowed to come to, if you had the money anyway. Mostly the rich came, today however it was an special event dedicated toward the success of SNP and the birthday of Princess Relora. The man on stage sang some type of 40s or 50s song, quite fitting for the ambiance and atmosphere. Luxury was always something to taste for in Serra, from the bottom to the top everyone yearned for at least a small part of it.

King Helvram sat all this way at the back, quietly observing his surroundings as guards stood watch nearby. He was normally average in height compared to others, though his face and stature made him seem intimidating. Slick brown hair waved across his head as his red and white suit signified his importance to the rest of the crowd. Celyus Valleau, leader of the SNP, walked toward his King and took a chair next to him, passing him a letter. “Have you heard? The nation of Leutensia invites all the leaders around the world to come and celebrate their prince’s coronation and such.” Celyus explained. Being the Crown Dignitary had given him even more respect and prestige he had received beforehand, allowing him to of course do the same as other rulers under the his own. “This could be a good time for…” He added and then went silent in the end, implying something as he stared toward King Helvram. The King grabbed the letter, reading it’s contents. “I suppose… Relora would love to spend time outside of Serra.” King Helvram asked. They continued to talk for a few extra minutes till Celyus departed to his own table.

Present
Near Leutensian Maritime Borders

The captain of the ship radioed his presence to the Leutensian naval patrol to ensure no incidents would take place. “So this is Leutensia, huh?” Helvram wondered. Relora herself stood outside the yacht, viewing the scenery. “Pretty.” she thought. “I totally forgot what the prince and king looked like… crap.” she added. About half an hour later they had finally reached dock, toward the capital you could hear the faint sound of cheers coming from citizens which gave a good impression of the atmosphere to come. Celyus himself walked out of the yacht with his hands folded behind his back, looking forward. Soon came the High King who was followed by his daughter. “The car is waiting to take us toward the center, I assume you haven’t lost your touch on greeting others?” Celyus said, smiling. Relora quickly walked toward their vehicle as guards tried to keep pace. “Come on, come on! I want to enjoy this place already!” she cried. Her father sighed and followed with the Crown Dignitary by his side.

Fillashian Invitation - Received Invitation

Pyrrha Arose from her tent, groggy and tired. She yawned and stretched. She looked at the camp. All seemed calm, her men already up and doing their duties. Training, Cooking, and keeping a eye out was few of the many jobs they needed to do inside the camp. "Ma'am, I have a letter for you." A messenger said. "It seems to be a invitation." He added. She looked up at him. "Why would i get a invitation?" She asked to herself. She took the letter and looked up, the messenger was already walking away. Receiving and giving out other letters. These men and and woman had families. She honestly cared for their safely and their safe return home. Though she knew that to some of them, it will never happen. It saddened her at the thought. She looked down at the envelope, She sighed and opened it up. She read it, moving her lips to every word. "It is glad to say... ...invited to The Holy Theocracy of Leutensia... ...New Gerent..." She finished reading and put the leader down on the table. "I need a boat to Leutensia." Pyrrha said. "Her advisor turned and looked at her. "I just recived a invitation to see the crowning of a King." She added. "Yes ma'am, i will take care of your duties till you get back."

Fillishian Invitation - Right before The Parade.

The Fillash Revolutionary Leader, Pyrrha, Stood in the back with her Greek dress. It had a red cloth draped over the shoulder rimmed with golden silk. She received a Invitation because she stated she was the leader of Fillash. She knew she wasn't at the mean time but she was sure she will win the war that is currently underway. She noticed that Wars were breaking out everywhere in Sunalaya. This time is a greed driven hostility. She felt unsafe around the others around her as she was alone. She didn't have any body guards but one. She arrived by boat and drove to the capital city. She felt this would be a perfect opportunity to gain allies and this unsafe world. She gotten into the carriage with the others around her. She kept to herself. She didn't want to ruin any thoughts of good will with the other Leaders or Ambassadors. She looked around at the screaming crowd that surrounded the streets, Their flags waving in their air. She heard that this is the first in years that this country came out of isolation. The citizens seemed happy and it gave joy in her heart to see the happy citizens. She thought of home. how the war was breaking out, fighting for their freedom.

Fillsshian Invitation - At The Palace.

She got outside the limo that they had to get in. She was one of the last to get out of the limo. she looked up and she saw the statue of the current leaders Father. He looked like a nice man though must be vary expensive. She looked down to the man that sent out the invitations. She smiled at him. "Hello sir, it is glad to meet you. I heard history was a vary important part of your culture." She said, trying not to ruin the good greetings. "With the war raging in my nation, it is sad to say history is being destroyed because of it."He said once more. Maybe it would be a conversation starter to make good friends with the leader. She didn't know, but all she did was hope. She didn't want to make any enemies during the war that was raging inside her motherland.

Leutensia wrote:"Afterlife?" Gerent said confused.

"Fascinating"
Jean-Paul said piercing the statute with his eye.

The group continued it's tour around the country and reach the largest city, Segnox, even larger than the port city they landed in.
"I'm in love with the architecture around here. Did I already mention that?"

Jean-Paul grinned quietly and tried to hide it with his palm.

Leutensia wrote:There are important jobs here, such as the manufacturing of our clothing and burning of oils and coals for our energy. Though, I have already heard that many places are changing from these to more safe ways of energy. Those which will not destroy our skies.

"Ah, yes. d'Fleuve's power production is already 80% nuclear powered which produces so much less waste than coal. "
Exclained Aaron, before coming with an offer.
"I'm sure we could help Leutensia's switch from fossil fuel electricity to more green sources. If you're willing. This would require an official meeting with the Prémier and the Minister of Energy for approval."
Aaron raised his eyebrow waiting for an answer

Segnox

Christina lowered her voice, despite knowing Latin. Switching into Latin in front of the other world leaders would probably insult them, they'd feel left out. Being educated in a Royal Family had given her the advantage of knowing several languages.

She looked at the Genet and said "Yes, I would very much like to meet your Master of Trade. Our people seem very much alike, I'm certain that trade between our nations should not be a problem. My people rebuilt Rezua many times over, better and better. If your people have the same determination as mine, you'll be a trade city in no time."

"Yes," nodded Gerent Vesuvius. "History is all that we have. When our time is done, it is all we will ever be. I wish we could help, but alas we are too far behind to help."

"Of course." Said Gerent Vesuvius happily. "My Master of Light will surely discuss with you about expanding our energy infrastructure."

After a few hours touring the large city, and seeing the sites, everyone was back in the limousine. "I hope you all enjoyed seeing Segnox. Yes, I know it is quite dirty for a city, but it is improving every day. I hope that it can become a metropolis with all your help. Now, let us go to our final destination before we all have our meeting to discuss everything. I can answer all your questions about Leutensia and explain what we can offer in trade with you all. Our next stop is the base of Mount Leuten, our holy mountain. Carved into the very rock is a temple which has stood for many, many years. Inside contains the exact stone slabs carved by Gerent Leuten himself and his sister, the very first High Prophetess and the founder of our faith." They all drove the two hours to the temple and all stepped out of the car.

"Now, I must ask of all of you to be absolutely silent while we walk through the temple. That is, unless you are female. Females may speak but quietly please. I will answer any and all questions you have once we exit the temple." They all followed Gerent Vesuvius into the temple, which was lit entirely by oil fires. Everything was carved out of stone, truly showing Leutensian craftsmanship with the substance. the Gerent held out his hand, motioning for everyone to stop.

In front of them was a procession of Prophetesses, all wearing white robes with black veils covering their faces. they were singing a low, almost peaceful hymn, with a deeply enchanting melody. At the very end of the line were men carrying a wooden board, with a dead girl on top. she was wearing a black dress. As soon as they walked by, Vesuvius continued to lead them through the catacombs, where they all could see different painted murals and painted carvings into the wall. And finally, two large wooden doors with metal handles. When some of the people went to enter, Vesuvius shook his head, and lead everyone out.

"Behind those doors are the original commandments of the first High Prophetess. The doors remain closed every day, except for the Turn of the Century. On that day, the doors open and the tablets are paraded through the country for five days, before being returned to their exact spots. The main reason for this, is so that the faith of the people do not waiver, as we have all seen the tablets with our very own eyes. The words inscribed are an old form of Leutensian, but still very readable to this day. Now, the procession we had just witnessed was a young girl who must have lived in one of the nearby towns. Many families bring their deceased here in order to have them blessed by the Prophetesses Guild to ensure that their essence has been brought back to the Mother Goddess. It is a very orthodox belief, one that I and many of my people do not share, yet it is still widely practiced near the temple itself. Now we shall step into the car and in only twenty minutes we will be at our meeting location."

The meeting location was a small government building that looked very much like a miniature castle. Inside however was a singular room with a large table and overhead lighting. It was very modern for the country, even with its old facade. When everyone took their seats, Vesuvius began. "I hoped you all enjoyed touring the country, albiet quickly. I hope that someday to have a tourist bureau set up, but for now I would like to discuss the international world and what we all can do to bring Leutensia into it."

Sierra walked quietly behind the Gerent of Leutensia, not wishing to disturb anyone as they passed through the halls of this most sacred site. Sierra looked around at everything, noticing the carvings on the walls and of the paintings. It was very quiet in the stone temple, aside from the hymns emanating from the prophetesses inside the cave temple structure.

Sierra watched with fascination as the prophetesses brought the deceased girl through the hall in their long procession. It was all very unique. Everything seemed to fit perfectly together, from the clothing, to the somber hymns to even the way the prophetesses walked down the halls. It was so different from home in Rhodevus, yet strangely familiar in a way. Sierra decided not to speak, not knowing the Gerent's or his country's position on homosexuality. She decided to ask him once they left the temple. Sierra was by no means a religious person. In fact, she thought of herself as an agnostic and participated in very little religious events. Even Queen Diana was more religious, with her version of Biological Spirituality.

Once they left the stone temple, Sierra walked up to the Gerent. "Gerent Vesuvius, I have a question about your religion. What is its stance on homosexuality?"

Christina entered the temple and looked around with great interest. While it certainly wasn’t a catholic church, it was still quite pretty to Christina. The stone had been so finely cut; the detail in each engraving was invigorating. Every detail had a reason to exist. This gave Christina a sense of belonging for those who wanted to be in the Temple, like this tranquil place had room for everyone. It remaindered her of ancient ruins, their majestic structures inspired awe in the imaginations of all who saw them. In short, Christina was enjoying the Temple.

That is, she was, until she saw the body. The girl’s skin was almost completely white, now that she was dead. Her skin stood out from the midnight black dress she wore. Her eyes were closed peacefully, as if she were merely sleeping. A chilling feeling flew through Christina, the girl was no more than fifteen.

All her time in the Air Force had prepared her for death, but the death of a child was an experience she needed to not face often. She was in the air, usually never had to see a body. She was by no means weak stomach, but the death of a youth left her quiet unnerved.

As they exited the Temple, Sierra randomly asked a question about homosexuality. To be honest, it kind of annoyed Christina. She was about to inquire into the death of that girl, but her sister-in-law had already jumped ahead to a new topic.

“Excuse me.” Christina said, “Before we change topics away from this Temple, I noticed that girl was quite young. Do you have a high crime rate around here, or some kind of disease? I mean, I guess she could have died in a freak accident, but the death of a child is rare in my country. Is it more likely she died of natural or unnatural causes? Because if there is something I can do to curb the death rate of children here, do not hesitate to ask me to do so.”

Juliet Travis followed behind with the other delegates. She was suprised to see a dead child and turned her head for a moment. The last time she had seen dead child was when her own cousin was buried after a drunk driver had rammed straight into the car. However she looked back up during the ceremony and found it to be beautiful. Different from her own Christian beliefs but also fascinating to see since she had known some a few Leuten followers back in Aznazia.

They left the Temple and made their way outside. Juliet Travis was had never been on a diplomatic mission with parades, dead children, and foreign religions in one.
