It's Jeda Bari for Kishrael!

Today it was announced that the representative for Kishrael for the 47th WorldVision Song Contest would be 25 year old Kishraeli singer Jeda Bari, singing the song "Abo L'Bayt", which translates roughly as "I'll Come Home". The song is an upbeat pop-ballad sung entirely in the Kishraeli dialect of Hebrew, and will be the first time the country has entered a song into the contest entirely in Hebrew. KBA bosses are eager to see Kishrael rise back to the top of the scoreboard, as fans have been relieved after the long hiatus from WorldVision has come to an end. Kishrael's best results at the contest include four first place finishes.

Who has that title now, is it Polkopia??

Euskirribakondara wrote:Yay! Welcome back!

Hey we're all coming back, only just realised you've been out of the game for like 20 editions haha.

It seems that they will rock the WV stage (if they post their entries, of course) but I am afraid that our good placements could be in danger.

@Kishrael; Yes. Polkopia has been doing very, very well lately. I think they've been paying the juries for high points IMHO.

Mini Surrey-North to return on WV Stage!

She will be making her fifth appearance on a WorldVision stage in the past 12 editions. Mini's first appearance on the WorldVision stage was in WorldVision 35, in Yttribia where she and her group sang "Like A Serpent." Despite the song being turned on by Britonish Media, her and her group managed to get Britonisea's first top 5, top 10 and even, Top 15 place as she placed 5th with 94 points. As the Britonish media applauded the Serpentents, they urged them to perform in Todlichebujoku in WorldVision 36 which has the opposite effect than in Yttribia. Despite being quite known in the WorldVision community, she and her group only managed to grab 23 points placing themselves 31st out of 41 nations. Mini Surrey-North made her third appearance on a WorldVision stage in WorldVision 40's special edition even though it was expected that Mya Richardson was to perform her song, "Return" which gave Britonisea their 2nd 5th place. The Serpentents managed to gain 21st place with 32 points. Her fourth appearance on a WorldVision stage wasn't for singing, no. Well, a bit. She hosted the 41st WorldVision Song Contest in Quickenden, Britonisea alongside previous entrant Tess Philipa and Britonish X Factor host Jonathon Willis.

She was invited to take part in Vha Mehlodhivestoile where she sung a new song called, "Centre of Attraction" which is a song she wrote talking about her previous experiences in the WorldVision Song Contest and how she felt when she was performing. She felt like the centre of attraction. She was second in her heat with Rigas Jengiz, one of her main contenders. They both qualified to the finals. The international juries favoured Rigas Jengiz giving her 62 points, whereas Mini trailed behind with 59 points. The Britonish public and jury votes gave her 22 points which catapulted her in to lead with 81 points compared to Rigas Jengiz's 79 points. "It is a very emotional moment for me." explained Mini, "I thought I wouldn't represent this country...In WorldVision, anyway. Especially as Zeke and Rigas were real popular contenders in the international votes. I would like to thank Britonisea for pulling me through and the song will go through it's 3rd revamp." She said this will be her last appearance on the WorldVision stage though she is sure she will go back to commentating like she did in WorldVision 46.

Mini Surrey-North will sing her song "Centre of Attraction" to this tune, Centre of Attraction

STE | Offisjel bidda Kårnises

Zentrumkårnis Arena, should Carnise be successful to host the competition, will be the centre of the WorldVision stage. Based in the centre of Carnise, with a capacity of 25,000 people, it is by far the most easily accessible venue to host the contest. The arena is albeit rather small visually on the outside, but, don't judge a book by it's cover. Zentrumkårnis Arena boasts it's 25,000 underground arena with state-of-the-art technology and sound engineering, as well as producing an eco-friendly and self-sustaining energy system designed by Jønes Valisgarenhaal.

Image

The foyer of the arena will therefor act as the press and media area of WorldVision, with a magnificent view of the skyline of Carnise, as well as a huge and eco-friendly space offering unisex toilets, restaurants and of course, it wouldn't be Ekoz without a bar or twelve.

Image

Image

Image

The easiest modes of transport to Carnise, for international ticketholders and contestants alike would be by air. Carnise boasts over six international airports in the city-proper, as well as a further four more in the wider urban metropolitan area. Kårnis-Umøja International Airport is the closest airport to the Zentrumkårnis Arena, with a distance of nine miles. As Carnise's third biggest airport, it offers a huge array of shopping, restaurant and bar facilities as well as cut prices within the duty-free area of the airport.

Furthermore, ticketholders travelling to Ekoz via Ekoesesflygt (Ekoz's carrier airline) will get a half price deal travelling to and from Carnise during the the week in which the WorldVision Song Contest is on.
Image

Kårnismetro, the biggest of it's kind in the region boats services every three minutes on all but two of it's lines, of which are running twenty four hours a day. For ticketholders, the Grønaslin (Green Line) will travel directly from Kårnis-Umøja to the arena itself in approximately fifteen minutes.

Whilst deciding to bid for the contest, the STE aimed to make the contest the least costly contest ever produced, and have aimed to cut costs and create innovative ways in which to produce a fantastic and entertaining show, as well as produce five-star Ekozian hospitality.

The STE therefor hired Interior Designer Yulia Ulesjord, famous in Ekoz for her striking and groundbreaking projects, who pitched the STE with the "Container Village". This village will act as both the delegation and fan accomodation, with over 3000 of the re-modelled and re-furbished containers. Whilst debuting the village, she stated

What is so exciting about this, is that we have remodelled shipyard containers and made them into self-reliant, eco-friendly homes. What is so fantastic is that after the contest, these can be let to first-time buyers aiming to get their feet on the property ladder or could make for fantastic accommodation for Ekozian and international students alike. I've never been more proud of a project than this!

The stage, boasting a catwalk, a raised circular stage in the centre, aswell as a complete LED foreground stage underneath both the circular stage and the catwalk. Furthermore, the stage has a 400meter LED background and will be equipped to adapt to fire, pyrotechnics, water and may more.

The stage was designed to visually stunning, as well as innovative to provide the highest possible level of production and performance from each delegation.

Image

Image

The postcards are a direct representation of the Carnise WorldVision bid, in order to tie up with the brand and selling point of the contest. The golden-yellow background represents the hospitality of the Ekozian people, and represents the national colour of Ekoz, combining it with the block-text of the participating nation, above Britonisea, below The Sarian. The STE whilst trying to remain cost-effective during all corners of the bid wanted to offer a visually pleasing, and effective postcard that both represents the nation, and the host country and broadcaster.

Image

Image

Image

The STE, working with Universal Music Ekoz will debut and release the 'Official WorldVision Song Contest Album' a week before the contest starts, and will available on all music downloading/streaming sites supported in Ekoz. Furthermore, every 1000th downloader of the official album will receive two tickets to come and watch the contest live in Ekoz, flights and accomodation included!

Image

The STE's online website, ste.ez will be giving unlimited live steaming of the entire week of the contest, from WorldVision pre-parties, but interviews and backstage information from the contestants, hosts, fans et all. The stream will be completely free-of-charge for all international viewers.

Alessandro Florién to WVSC 47!

NTR has confirmed their entry for WorldVision Song Contest 47. Following the Sunday 9pm broadcast on NTR2's digital service and NTR Radio 1, the Nekonian entrant was revealed to be the upcoming dance artist Alessandro Florién with a song entitled Broken Heart.

The presenter of the reveal, previous entrant Sándor Riccia, spoke of the entry, "We did fantastically last contest, and with Alessandro on the stage, we can win it! We found our stride with this kind of music, and the song's different enough to really stand out, especially with a good performance. Everyone at NTR and everyone in Nekoni wishes him the very best of luck!"

A source close to NTR has confirmed that PRO1, the Proluvian broadcaster that shows the contest have displayed their interests in entering, suggesting that "a friendly gentlemen's bet is on the table between us, and it's up to PRO1 to take up the offer."

Proluvia have once attempted to enter the contest before in WVSC46, however the bid was later withdrawn citing both funding issues and a lukewarm response to their song.

I still need votes in my selections. Three nations have voted so far (big thanks to Euskirribakondara, Normandy & Picardy and Britonisea) but I've got triple draw now and I need you to help me. Come on! There are just 4 songs (there is a recap: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsB2CpALy2k )

OFFICIAL BID FOR WorldVision Song Contest 47 | MARINA POINT, NEKONI
"La Festa! La Città! La Vita!"

Welcome, one and all, to the beautiful city of Marina Point! Nestled along the northwest coastline of Nekoni, overlooking the stunning azure of the Canera Sea, this city is inhabited by 750,000 people, each of them with their own story to tell, each of them waiting for you to come and get a taste of what they believe is the greatest city in Esportiva, and each of them hoping to host one hell of a party when the WorldVision hopefully reaches Nekonian shores for the first time! So, what makes Nekoni and, in particular, Marina Point tick?

Image
Well, just look at it! The main city centre is a bustling cultural metropolis, with its old town seamlessly merging into a modern, trendy paradise of beachfronts and coffee shops. Mariners are extremely proud of their city, and one visit there will show you why. There's much to do here, too. The studious amongst you may prefer to get lost in the labyrinth of cobbled streets to discover the beauty of the city for yourself, taking in art galleries or museums at your leisure. Retail therapy is easy and fun, thanks to a myriad of shops nestled throughout the city, selling anything from food, to crafts and more.

Of course, the laid back lifestyle of the city's daytime may not suit everyone, and the thrill-seeker can enjoy extreme sports on the Canera, or perhaps take in a few laps at the state of the art Nekoni International Circuit? However, it's at night where the city truly comes alive, especially along the beachfront transforming into a resort, dotted with neon-filled nightclubs, ultra-modern bars and award-winning restaurants. It's a rite of passage to enjoy an ice-cold beer whilst on the shore, watching the sunset come in. If selected for the WVSC, this area will host a week-long WorldVision Beach Party, a wild festival of the best of the greatest music contest, crammed full of the most famous faces ever to grace the stage!

Image
The Canera's coastline is as rich in culinary delights as you'd expect, and the jewel in the crown is Marina Point. The center of the fishing industry is naturally the first choice for top seafood, and the chefs of Marina Point have spent years perfecting their craft. Guests with more international tastes are also in luck, with the streets of the cosmopolitan Lungomare district having almost any type of regional cuisine you can think of.

Image
The mpx Arena was built in 2001 as a hotbed for music and the arts in Marina Point. The exterior may look unimposing, in the day, but each of the individual slats functions as a large LED screen, allowing at night the skyline to be illuminated with whatever dazzling colours and patterns the team wishes.

Image
Inside, the magic begins. mpx was created with the intention of being as freeform as possible. The default design of the arena was for the floor to be split up into four seperate 'event zones', with larger events, such as the WorldVision, combining two or all four zones together. The arena in its maximum quadruple setting will house 27,400 spectators.

The stage design is effectively as shown in the image, with the stage in two parts, a main rectangular stage, and a central circular platform. These will be connected by a walkway, and the performers will have free reign over all of these. All the platforms and walkways have hi-definition video floors, and the back of the main stage contains a giant video wall that can slide to allow entry and exit. The circular platform contains a nod to the previous contest, with the perimeter of it allowing a 360-degree hologram to completely surround the stage.

The green room can be divided from the rest of the audience at the back of the arena, allowing the performers to relax and await the results in their own booths.

Image
Getting from where you live to Marina Point is easy, and travel around the city is cheap. Flights will arrive at the Marina Point International Airport, at which point there is a thirty-minute bus to the city centre at a cost of ₲470 (NS$6.70). Once in the main city itself, various bus routes and taxis allow any point in the city to be accessed. The arena itself has its own train station, the mpx Station, with the best station for a tourist to experience being the main station, Marina Point Central. A modern-day architectural masterpiece, every tunnel, wall, and concourse of the station is its own artwork, with the city's best artists and designers unleashing their creative talents.

Image
The route from the station is easy to remember: three stops from Platform 4, ten minutes away, with prices starting from ₲850 (NS$12.10) return. Buses are cheaper, but take longer to arrive...and you don't get to see the station.

Image
A city as tourist-friendly is naturally going to be rich in choices of hotels, and Marina Point is no different, showcasing a wide variety of hotels for any budget. The hotel selected for the contest participants will be the exclusive Grand Hotel Schiavone in the Mercantio Hills, a quiet, but luxurious part of the city designed for rest and relaxation outside the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel boasts all the expected amenities, a swimming pool, gym and tennis court complex to keep fit after rehearsals, and a choice of three fantastic restaurants, of which one, La Bruxette Brasserie & Steakhouse, won the Gourmandis Magazine award in 2015 for Best Restaurant in Marina Point.

Image
Each of the hotel's rooms is a little bubble of calm, with each one containing wide spaces, the softest local furnishings, and all the high-tech mod cons you would expect from a high-caliber suite. Wi-fi is complimentary for all guests, and a 24-hour room service is available.

Image
The postcard design is fairly simple, containing the song number in Nekoni standard colours on the bottom left, and three bands of colour, freely selectable by each country, but generally expected to be colours from the country's flag. The main image of the postcard may also be whatever the country chooses that represents life in their country.

And so, this concludes Marina Point's bid for WVSC 47. We all hope that Nekoni and Marina Point are chosen to host the WorldVision's greatest party ever! La Festa! La Città! La Vita!

I think I'm gonna have to withdraw my bid.

Mainly because I don't think I'll be able to finish it in time, given my situation, as well as the fact that bidding after winning already three contests earlier is probably a bit premature.

EYLER VÅLGAARD AR MELLO-VINNÅ

Eyler Vålgaard was night announced winner of MelodieFestivålen with a whopping 56% of the public and jury vote. The former Ekozian rugby-union player successfully fought off nine other contestants to win the contest and will thus represent Ekoz at the 47th WorldVision Song Contest in a soon-to-be announced candidate city, of which, Carnise is one of.

Eyler stated "It's incredible. There were so many big production value performances at Mello this year. I was just there with my guitar singing. I never thought I would win!". When asked about his performance at WorldVision he stated "I think I won't change too much. I'd rather be authentic to myself. Plus, it'd be nice to a more stripped performance. Ekoz usually sends a huge production and I'd like to hopefully get votes from my voice and my guitar. We'll see"

Eyler's winning single Vertigo has shot straight to the top of the Ekozian iTunes chart after only two hours of being released and is predicted to debut at number one on the Ekoesestoplistan later in the week.

Jelena is in the left, Agnete & Freya on the right.

TRT has now announced the official participants for Talvezout and Talfessot. Talvezout will be represented by Jelena, performing "The Love Of My Life" (Melody is Boaz's The Fire In Your Eyes). TRT has announced that Talfessot will be represented by Agnete & Freya, performing "The Story Of My Life." (Melody is ABBA's Take A Chance On Me)

TRT has also revealed part of the lyrics for The Story Of My Life.

This the story of my life, a little surmise
It's just a little story
A quiet pareé
A little sob story, no, a modern treatise
An untimely demise, the sullen surprise
This is the story of my life
A little horror show
Just the story of my life
This little life without aim, lost from the get-go
What else will I do, when I've died

Radiance, the new Anturian WorldVision broadcaster, will implement a new voting system for Antahbrantahstan starting from this edition.

PROFESSIONAL JURY (30%): Consists of three Anturian personalities from the world of music, entertainment and culture, the members will change every year, for this edition, its members are:
-Christine Mapinduzi: Folk musician, novelist.
-Karolina Rabbani: Singer, Songwriter, Former WorldVision Participant.
-Herdiana Bahagia Ambarwati: Popular voice-over artist, painter, WVfan.

DEMOSCOPIC POLL (30%): Composed of a sample of 300 music fans, which voted from their homes via an electronic voting system managed by a prominent market researcher. People who wishes to be a part of the sample must send an application to Radiance, and if the application is approved, the person must pass an interview and a psychological test, and if they pass it, they are now a part of the poll.

TELEVOTING (40%): Antahbrantahstan will use a combination of telephone, sms, and landline voting (landline can only be used in Antahbrantahstan, not available in other nations), they can only vote for one entry per phone, each vote costs 2,99 Oreos (5,501 NSD)
