I would like to take this opportunity to express sympathy for those who were killed by the pro-LGBT protesters in Waltherland.
Let me first make clear my nation's stance on homosexuality. Homosexuality is, in the minds of most Letrastanis, harmful and unacceptable. From my analysis of the incident, it is clear that the protesters, who caused huge amounts of public disorder and brutally harmed unarmed civilians, are being placed on a pedestal by foreign media outlets on the basis of being "sexually oppressed", and that the counterattackers, whose response was justified given the urgent and significant threat to public safety posed by the protesters, are being falsely framed as an "unprovoked lynch mob" so that they can be condemned left and right.

"At this point it's mostly saber rattling, but if things get worse we might want to look into defensive measures. While it is our government's view that homosexuals deserve equal rights with heterosexuals, and they deserve to be able to live out their sexuality in a way which is fulfilling to them as persons, we do believe that their actions of attacking police was reprehensible.
