Russian and Turkish Oil being sent to Bulgaria is now sent to Georgia instead of all the way to mainland Bulgaria.

Karelian Isthmus, Soviet artillery positions. 1919.

Ten long days it had gone on. Ten days of constant artillery barrage by everything the Red Army could scrap together, from massive 305mm M1915 siege howitzers down to the excellent and numerous 76mm M1902 field guns. The outdated but serviceable Soviet airforce had been sending aeroplanes buzzing overhead for the last week, acting as spotters for the gun batteries and reconnaissance against enemy positions, though far less returned than flew out. It had all made Dominik nearly deaf, though he supposed the Dutch and Grossgrundians were getting the short end of the deal.

"Ceasefire!" The gun commander shouted over the roar of nearby guns. "Отбо́й! Cease fire!"

Dominik paused, a 76mm high explosive shell halfway to the breach. From his position on the hilltop where the field gun battery stood, he could see dark shapes moving in the distance, too large to be human or animal, and definitely not motor vehicles.

"What the hell are those things? Armoured cars?" Dominik looked to a nearby commissar for answers.

"Вездеход, comrade. Our invincible Vezdekhod."

Initial Soviet Offensive - May 1919

Out of the fading roar of the artillery barrage came a minute of silence. Out of this moment's reprieve came the drone of engines and a chatter of steel, and out of the early morning fog and smoke came the lumbering figures of the Russian tanks.

The Russians weren't supposed to have tanks - all anyone had encountered thus far were scattered armoured cars and tachankas, a horse-drawn battle cart loaded down with machine guns that proved surprisingly effective in support of the roving Red Calvary. Yet still they emerged from the mist, crawling their way right up to the enemy lines and erupting with a flurry of machineguns and the blossoming roar of 57mm cannon fire.

Behind the tanks came the collective voices of the Soviet infantry, charging forward with their trademark "Ura!" battlecries. Supporting them, where terrain allowed it, were armoured car platoons of two broneavtomobil (machinegun armoured cars) and a single pusheshniy broneavtomobi (gun-armed armoured car) to provide heavy fire support. The models encountered in Karelia by the GroBgrundian defenders consisted mainly of Austin-Putilov or Russo-Balt machine gun cars and Putilov-Garford armoured trucks carrying short-barreled 76mm guns.

A similar tactical layout was adopted by the Soviet of Armored Units, the country's authority on armoured vehicles, as the basis for their tank tactics - two Vezdekhod Mk. II M17 armed with 37mm autocannons and PM M1910 machineguns in ball-mounts were accompanied by a single Vezdekhod Mk. III armed with a 57mm Sokol to form a single armoured platoon, which were then integrated into infantry Rifle Divisions and armoured car regiments to assist with breakthroughs.

The Soviet 7th Army hoped to use the shock factor of its armoured vehicles and assault infantry to break through enemy lines and drive a wedge into GoBgrundian territory, using the speed of its cavalry and armoured cars to exploit gaps and advance to their objectives.

Boltonogov shifted documents around on his side of the negotiations table before continuing.
