The Cross Roads (Flardania/Kirishima Elections) [Finished]

It is Election season in Kirishima and it holds potential to be the most historic election in the history of the nation. Following the aftermath of the Guadalapador Civil War, Erin Terten's return to relevance in the Bayan, the increased military activity of the region, citizens questioning membership in certain alliances, the country is at a cross road. This has been an election that many citizens have been keeping an eye out for. With the edition of two stages unattractive candidates were weeded out in the first round of the elections.

One notable difference is the absence of the LGBT Party's Charlie McCormick, the Nationalist Party and the Green Party. This final stage consist of the HESL Party's candidate Arata Kasuga who is running for reelection with a different running mate. Myeong Yi of the Liberal Union who experts believed would've won if it wasn't for the defuct Convist Party and too much candidates stealing votes from her base. Jaques Tachibana of the new Liberty Party which has able to unify right wing support to make it to the final four. Finally there is Kenji Ishida of the Kirishinan National Progressive Party who seeks National progressism and closer relations with The Bayan.

These 4 candidates are all starting at zero in the polls as they campaign, travel across the country seeking to strategically win voter support leading up to the National Debate, a bit more campaigning, and Election Night.

The party platforms are as follows:

H.E.S.L Coalition Party
Dirigeant: Mr. Arata Kasuga
Sous-Premier: Mr. Yuuma Isogai
Domestic policy:

While healthcare is not free it is guaranteed by the government . There is a government Insurance Company that is meant only for people who can't qualify for standard insurance to be able to help some of the unfortunate in the short term.
Maintain current status quo of rights for LGBT
Education is a core to national success and is the key to moving up in a capitalist system therefore education is meant to be affordable for all. The government sets money aside and instead of making college free for everyone or keeping education regular exorbitant price . Tuition at Public Schools depend on income, major, and projected job market for the major the student has. So a Wealthy individual studying Medicine would pay more then a poor low income individual studying education. Also a low to middle class individual who is in computer science would pay a bit more than an upper middle class person studying Art. This allows people to strive for their dreams sans debt their job can't cover.
Promoting good Holy Order of Lake Shore values
Maintain Carbon tax.
Humanity is of the Earth not the master.

Economic policy:

Regulated Capitalism
Dynamic Minimum Wage-Dependent upon location and local cost for basic necessities such as rent, food, clothes, public transport fees, a phone, and [Basic Internet or Basic Cable]
Reduced funding to welfare and instead providing jobs in the always open and growing job industry of infrastructure to pick worker back up.
Moderate tariffs to defend some of the weaker Kirishinan companies but also encouraging foreign competition.
Maintain current military spending and being willing to increase over current rate but not decrease.
Believes in an economic system where the Employee is to give it their best effort and the Employer is to give them what they earned (No less than Minimal Wage).
Reduce tax loopholes
Encourage new business by not taxing first few years in existence.

Foreign policy:

Not getting further involved with SACTO and keeping current specific operation selective relationship.
Re-Affirm relationship and aid to Gudalapador our oldest current ally after Mellburg.
Remain member of Iron Pact
Re-Open Diplomatic Relations with Zhouran and begin trade with a fellow neighbor.
Mostly Neutral in the Asigna situation at this time.
More than willing to help SACTO fight Communism that is actually communist but not willing to actively promote conservatism, something seen to be just as bad as progressivism.
Promote caution with conflicts near our shores.

Liberal Union

Domestic policy:

Everyone has a right to healthcare
Full rights to all non heterosexual people.
Reduce/Eliminate schooling costs

Mixed-market with greater government intervention.
Introduce a more progressive tax scale.
Create an economy built to last & built from the middle out
Decreased Defense Spending
Cut taxes for every working family, but not millionaires.

Liberty Party

Domestic policy:

Upholding state as secular democracy with visible representation of the people in all spheres of political life.
Recognition of freedom to worship and freedom of belief, as long as this will not be harmful for the people. Recognition of Orthodox rights as long as they do not participate in harmful acts. It has to be noted that whole issue with Orthodox brutality was created by Kasuga’s government attempting to enforce his worldview on them; therefore we are for granting them recognition and acceptance of practice of their religion if they agree to lay down arms.
Recognition of belief that this is not the state but nation that is most important in public life. All actions of Liberty party will be aimed at defense of interests of Kirishinan as unified nation made of Korean, Japanese, Ostians, and all minorities.
Liberty Party, as party organized outside political elites, is to represent common man and his problems.
We demand abolishment of exploitation of Kirishinan women by prostitution. By legalizing prostitution we only increased perversion in society, while gangs had chance to make their businesses legal. Prostitution should be de-legalized, with heavy fines placed over people who use such services.
We demand the government to stop enforcing pro – LGBT worldview on it’s citizens, including forced indoctrination that this mindset is good. As much as we recognize their opinion that it is normal, we expect them to recognize our opinion that this is not normal and should be restricted to prevent spreading of degeneracy among Kirishinan youth.
In our belief sole purpose of marriage is to have children. Thus, as much as our party does not request any sort of persecution of LGBT individuals, neither we believe that they should have anything more than civil unions, which should suit their needs well.
We restricting unlimited spread of pornography that has harmful effects on Kirishinan natural growth.
We recognize family as basis of social life and plan to implement a program to support it as basic structure of society.
We wish to introduce several family benefits for those with large number of children.

Economic policy:

We believe that private property is holy and that Kasuga administration is at this moment disrespecting our fundamental rights.
We demand abolition of unfair and high taxes and their gradual reduction to a reasonable amount. We realize that high above 30% income taxes that Kasuga’s government imposed on us are nothing more than thievery of citizen’s property so politicians could enjoy benefits from money of us – common citizens.
We demand drop of individual income tax to 10% of total person’s income.
Our party supports free market economy and serious decrease of corporate tax; we stand for private property and will be fighting to implement those principles into life.
We support majority – free healthcare with only basic services being performed state – wise.
The educational system has to be remade also, being replaced with more efficient system. Government needs to cut down on it’s educational budget and conduct privatization of majority of schools, allowing the parents to fund the institutions while encouraging competition.
We demand abolition of central bank and allowing The Kokumin Gikai to emit money.
We demand imposing protective tariffs to defend Kirishinan companies from being destroyed by foreign competition, while keeping international trade at considerable level.
One of main goals of our party is to combat corruption. Therefore we demand establishment of new anti – corruption task force which will ensure safety of Kirishinan people from information warfare.
We demand replacement of “welfare” with “workfare”. If a person does not work, neither shall he eat. Our belief is that the poor should receive money through charities, not through governmental commercial transactions.
We demand separation of means of communications from the state and privatization of means of transportation.
We support rights of inheritance without government confiscation of one’s property.
Many branches of economy currently nationalized will be privatized, depending on their market value.
It is in our belief that nature was made to serve man, not otherwise. Therefore our party openly encourages reduction of money spent on environmental protection as long as no citizen is threatened.
We demand increase of military spending and size of Kirishinan armed forces to properly defend Kirishinan interests across the globe.
Our party demands increase of veteran’s pensions for their brave service to Kirishima.
We support private land ownership and believe that government should not take it from it’s rightful owners without proper payback.
We envision Kirishinan society as society of solidarity. It is in our belief that both employers and employees should hold together, stand together and together work for better future.
We do recognize that the lower class has the same rights as the upper class, therefore our party is willing to recognize and suport all sorts of initiatives that have on purpose to ensure that Kirishinan workers have their rights respected.
The rural folk is to be supported, considering that Kirishima needs Kirishinan food.

Foreign policy:

Our party believes that the Filipino Bayan is not a considerable diplomatic partner for Kirishima. It proven itself weak and easy to defeat, it is by no means capable of providing security to Kirishinan people. Instead, our party seeks to create a stable system of security aimed at ensuring Kirishinan well being.
We seek increased cooperation with IFC and SACTO as long as it benefits Kirishima; foreign alliances should not be dictating us our policy.
Our party officially supports neutrality in Guadalupador conflict. In our belief this affair will only lead to destruction of Kirishima by either of two parties involved.

Kirishinan Progressive Party
Dirigeant: Mr. Kenji Ishida
Sous-Premier: Ms. Ino Mukai
Domestic policy:

Every single individual must be given equal rights to expression, relationship (regardless of orientation) and equal opportunity to education, healthcare and other privileges of a welfare state.
Freedom in curriculum choosing in higher education as well as making all levels of education available for all.
Religious values should not be taught out of the desire to make people enter a particular religion. Schools should not assist in what is deemed as the 'indoctrination' of the young into religion. Instead, humanist values should be what builds the earliest sense of morality in the human child. Religion, national progressivism argues, only arrests the child's freedom to choose whatever belief system he or she sees fit. It argues that only the mature adult could make a bright choice for themselves as to what religion really fits them.

Economic policy:

Controlled capitalism is needed for people to have the incentive to create innovations and therefore drive technological progress while at the same time, the state would be responsible for upholding laws in order to keep order in the environment therefore, curb unnecessary exploitation of resources and destruction of the environment. The earth is viewed as a tool for humanity's progress and also stresses that the earth's sustainability must be maintained through "environmentalist policies and a forced agenda against greedy fossil fuelist cabals" until the human race can call itself self sufficient from the planet and could harness energy from extraterrestrial sources.

Opposition yet no military hostile action against SACTO's foreign policy
Activation of the coffee club and being its leading member
Closer relations with the bayan

The Civic Forum is supporting the Coalition with moderate Progressive Socialists supporting the Liberals while the rest of the Progressive Socialists support the Progressives while Conservatives support the Liberty Party.

Elections loom in Kirishima, with four candidates leading the polls! Our favourite here at the Brytscop is the outspoken Myeong Yi of the Liberal Union, whose laudable and wise platform includes progressive social policies, mixed-market capitalism, greater IFC integration and a rejection of crypto-fascist SACTO conservatism.

Other candidates include the centrist HESL Coalition, led by Arata Kasuga, seen as a stable representation of the current status-quo and the Kirishinan Progressive Party led by Kenji Ishida, seen as an extreme-left libertarian option.

The worst party by far are the so-called Liberty Party, led by one Jaques Tachibana. They stand for a variety of hateful things, for example calling upon the Flardanian government to stop treating LGBT people as 'normal'. They also wish to defund the education and healthcare systems in Flardania, whilst simultaneously stripping many of the social safety nets that would help the poor climb out of poverty. They also wish to safeguard inheritance and block taxes on the wealthy, whilst nationalising a variety of state-owned assets, and demand the profits be used to increase funding to the military in order to facilitate " more participation in SACTO missions".

In other words, this party seeks to strip the workers and everyday people of Flardania of their rights, their voice, their wealth and their power, in order to fund a tiny elite and add military strength to the parasitic cabal that rules SACTO, turning Kirishima into yet another cash-cow for the imperalist aggressors, one which will fund the destruction and conquest of yet more productive societies and turn them into feudal hellholes.

The Brytscop is running a campaign to raise funds for the Liberty Union campaign, and all donations are welcome (see below for details). Make sure that noble Kirishima doesn't fall to the clutches of the top 1%, of the moneyed aristocrats. Make sure that our Flardanian friends do not become footsoldiers in the wars of SACTO aggression, pawns sent out to literally die in the name of greed and financial expansionism. Don't let big money buy Flardania's soul!

*** Megalo Mesembria, Flardania.

Deep within the Megaol Mesembria, the capital city of Flardania, laid the Electoral HQ of Flardanian Liberty Party - a party that, at this moment, was one of major contenders in Flardanian elections, as well as only right - wing party within mainstream politics. Yet, what was of most interest, was unique leadership of this political party, and the way in which it was led. There were two members that were so far involved in leading the party, both of them former military officials of Flardanian Army: former Brigadier - General Mr. Lee Sang Eun, former commander of 10th Air Defence Brigade, and Mr. Jaques Tachibana, former brigadier - general commanding 2nd Infantry Brigade. Both of them known each other from the military, and when they entered politics, it was due to their military connections. Both were also respected officers, with many awards and successes within their service history. While serving no more, two officers were now attempting to - in their opinion - make Flardania a better country for all, regardless of weather they were conservative, or not.

Their chances were pretty considerable. Although now, at the beginning of the campaign, Liberty Party wasn't exactly on top within polls, they also were party that most suited many upper class / upper middle class people, who seen in loosening restrictions for themselves a chance for themselves. Thus, Liberty Party had serious financial backing, and combining that with several factors such as the fact that so far it had most broad and detailed program, good administration, and finally, prepared election strategy based on military theories, this party was a serious contender within the elections, and all parties, weather Liberals, HESL or Progressivists had to count with them.

But so far, the leadership of the Party knew exactly the tasks being in front of them. Their knew that they have advantage in several areas - most notably, that all parties outside Liberty Party, were left wing, naturally splitting leftist electorate, when at the same time, Liberty has monopolized the rightist electorate, acting as unified voice of the right.

To successfully carry out the electoral victory, entire party structure was organized into military manner. Central "Command Committees" were elected to wage the campaigns on different fronts.

Mr. Pierre Kimura was set to carry out the campaign on social fronts. Pierre Kimura was almost two meter tall, very muscular man, with oval face composing Asian and European features, both being markings of his mixed Kishirimian - French ancestry. Kimura, known and famous Flardanian football player now finishing his career, decided to switch into politics after he became too old to still play. Known for his conservative style of being and controversial speeches, Mr. Kimura was already formulating strategy of carrying out his part.

Mr. Ichiro Gerrard, very successful Flardanian businessman and owner of Gerrad Motors Inc, enormous company producing cars, military gear, and motorcycles was the man assigned to deal with economic issues. Short in height, Gerrard was recognizable in Flardanian business world, and thus, was assigned to lead economic campaign. His money donations will also benefit the party a lot.

However, the same moment as Liberty Party was setting their main operatives, another operation was launched. Under direction of Mr. Lee himself, series of analysts and researchers were assembled. At the same day that campaign begun, horde of researchers boarded the planes and trains and headed to various regions of Flardania. Often being associated with Invesco, a media concern and news agency, those people will travel around Flardania, gathering information, often without revealing who they are. Key concerns were any problems within Flardanian society, business and politics, that could be used as points for the campaigners. Research will take time, but it certainly bring the profits to the Liberty Party HQ...

1800 Hours: Outiside of the Federal Palace, Heiwa, Flardania. (29/9/26)

A large crowd of new Dorian immigrants gathered in a plaza across the street from the Federal Palace. The new large addition to the Guadalupadorian Diaspora in Flardania was a result of Guiseppe Trigra's coup d'etat, and its aftermath. A majority of them were granted amnesty, and were now, new citizens of Kirishima. A majority of the people in the rally gathered in support of Arata Kasuga's re-election bid as Dirigeant, and his H.E.S.L Coalition Party. They chanted words of praise and thanks towards Kasuga. To the majority of new Dorian immigrants, if it wasn't for him, they'd be strangled in Quardya's hands. As they cheered Kasuga on in Dorian, waving Kirishiman and Guadalupadorian flags, a few in the crowd waved the party banners of the Liberal Democratic Party, whom some Dorians considered to be more of a friend to their motherland's interests, instead chanting, "Myeong Yi: mye sha Diri!"* as loud as they could. The crowd mingled, and chanted peacefully in front of the Federal Palace. All in all, each Dorian in the crowd could agree on one thing: That they were safe and sound, away from Integralism, and conflict, thanks to Kirishima.

Six blocks away.
A few blocks away from the main rally came the angry and violent stricken words of a different rally: A small group of Dorian immigrants gathered in a small park to hear one of their own condemn both the H.E.S.L Coalition Party, and the Lib Dems: The former Federal Army soldier turned refugee from his own country carried on in rage fueled Dorian: "Kasuga sold our country out to the dogs of SACTO! To the Great Satan, Gran Cuscatlan! Kasuga stood there and did NOTHING as our beloved Motherland was carved into pieces like a turkey!" The small crowd hooted and hollered their praises towards the speaker, "We need an administration that'll have the balls to stand up to the Cussies and their croneys! We need an administration that'll end Quardya's rape of the Motherland! We need an administration that'll bomb the Cussies into a damned heap of ash and molten rock! Kirishima needs to ally with other like-minded nations and give Gran Cuscatlan their just desserts!" The crowd went wild with fervor and excitement. The soldier then put up his hands, and yelled out: "Ten Cussies for every Dorian killed during the occupation!" The small crowd, now filled with anger at SACTO and the Kasuga administration chanted and chanted it. The soldier, now satisfied at how riled up his audience got, calmed them down, and spoke once more: "The H.E.S.L Coalition won't help us, and unfortunately, neither will the Liberal Democrats. They won't fight the SACTO menace! We need a party who will! Out of all these choices, frankly the best option, is the Kirishinan Progressive Party, they'll listen to us: the victims of forced social conservatism, Integralism, cultural destruction, and attempted genocide by the Cussies! When you go off to vote, remember who'll listen to us, not who'll listen to the Cussie criminals." The crowd clapped and cheered, the former soldier let out a big smile, and said: "Thank you all for coming here, and may Veii and the Old Gods preserve us, Kirishima, and the Motherland!" After the end of the smaller rally, the Dorians present there peacefully dispersed, and went home without incident, as if the speaker's yelling and raving about SACTO got the anger out of their systems for the time being.

The cries of the students and the teachers thundered through the auditorium each one of them giving out raised fists into the air before applauding at the entrance of their speaker, Mr. Kenji Ishida, the the candidate for Dirigeantship of the the Kirishiman Progressivist party. There many people in the auditorium, so many to the point that the facilitators were flustered to admit that they had ran out of seats, apparently the number of spectators that were attending had now exceeded maximum seating capacity. They all came to meet the speaker of the Kiriprog that everyone was buzzing about in the prefectural capital.

"Bonsoir ladies and gentlemen...."

The applause for the man intensified until nothing could be heard but the roaring voices of the people cheering across the auditorium for the man. Ishida simply smiled and waited for the applause to die down and when it finally did, only then did he started to speak.

"Kirishima... our country has been known to be a strong and wealthy nation. It is not solely because we know the secrets of trade, we have technical knowledge in the field of industry... but ultimately because we know how to work together. We recognize the rights of each other, as workers, as Kirishimans... and ultimately... as humans. It is by this tenet of tolerance, of cooperation that we are able to mobilize the full force of our people.

However....we still have a long way to go. As the rights of laborers are not yet ensured, there is still no guarantee that business owners will pay their workers decent wages, the rights of every individual in the full spectrum of society are still not ensured by law and ultimately the welfare of each and every single one of us is in grave danger as there are forces who say that affordable healthcare is wrong... that the instruments that have been used by our nation for decades to ensure that those who are financially unfortunate should be given the opportunity to access basic services such as healthcare, public aid, public education, retirement and others."

Ishida's words were met with boos from the crowd, they all knew who he was talking about, the members of the Liberty party, whom they were very wary of but only then did their worries turn into spite.

"There are those who say 'If a person does not work, neither shall he eat!' then will happen to the person who has been disabled! .,..to the elderly who should be resting... and what will happen if charities, which are so rare in this world...does not have enough to fund for all of these unfortunate people? WILL YOU LET THEM STARVE?! Yes... people should work for a living... but not everyone can work... as there are those who by fate have met something unfortunate that has incapacitated them from their ability to do work. As a society that works on human principles... we say... NO! WE WILL NOT LET THEM STARVE!"

The people then roared in applause.

"Verily i say... Under progressivism...NO ONE IN KIRISHIMA SHOULD DIE IN STARVATION!"

The crowd in the auditorium at these words cheered in delight and support.

"My friends... My countrymen...Much of you outside of this auditorium might not know me...and i might not know you... but i and my party members realize have felt the same hardship as each and every single one of you. There was one time i had to work hard to pay for my college fees but the only blue collar job i was able to get had me struggling to make ends meet. The low wages were woefully unjust so i had to take more than one job and add that up with the current non tuition fees of the public college education i had to pay for several programs, i had to pay for my bills, i had to pay for my rent...i had to pay for my fare...just like the rest of you i had to pay for these things...."

Ishida was silent for a while.

"That's the hardship of today's educational system... what more will happen if the responsibility of ensuring affordable education was taken away from the public and given to the corporations... given to private individuals who want to compete not for the sake of giving the right education accessible to the youth... but rather to make money all for themselves!"

Again, Ishida's words were met with boos from the crowd, their spite for the liberty party, who was seeking to privatize education for the sake of "free market competition" has intensified.

"My friends THIS WILL NOT STAND! Many of us want our rights of education to be preserved... a future for our children... everyone from all classes want this to happen. We, rich or poor, all want to secure a bright future for our children and our children's children! However... not all of us could afford the prestigious private schools that demand hefty tuition fees from enrollees. And if the public education is taken away from us, what will happen to us! Well, i say to everyone, EDUCATION IS FOR ALL OF US! NOT ONLY FOR THOSE WITH LARGE OF MONEY IN THEIR POCKETS!"

At this, another applause roared from the crowd in agreement to the speaker's statements.

"We stand today in this auditorium to declare that we stand for a more united Kirishima! Not one ripped apart by the interests of the rich! But one united through rights, through values of respect, tolerance, equal opportunity regardless of class, race, gender, religioon or sexual orientation!....

There are those who say, we are too idealistic! But indeed, this idealism is what moves greats nations and great people forward! It is something that has made America go to the moon, something that has ended racial inequality in the United States and South Africa! It was idealism that made Lincoln to believe in a more equal society where slavery is no more!

A few weeks ago... no one would have imagined that our movement would be a reality in this nation...absolutely no one. Even the very government that today administer our nation, has qualms about expressing optimism to our cause. Practically before this very gathering... everyone thought that Kiriprog is not going anywhere... some have even said the Kirshiman people don't like progress and never will...

However... the people of Hyuga... the very opinions that they are expressing tonight in and out of this auditorium say otherwise... FORWARD KIRISHIMA! NOUS SOMMES UNIS! UNIS!"

A thunderous applause as well as a standing ovation roared from the crowd each one of them pumping clenched fists in the air to signal their approval and support for the party and ultimately, their speaker, Kenji Ishida.

"UNIS! UNIS! UNIS! UNIS! UNIS!" The crowd thundered in unison. The entire rally had been broadcasted by the Kiriprog media foundation and had then been uploaded to the Youtube and the Punch. With meager funds, Kiriprog had to maximize the use of free utilities to spread their message, the ultimate free utility out there was the internet.

Their operation was not over. As the audience left, each one of them were told by the Kiriprog agents to spread their campaign brochures they had been given to everyone else they could meet outside the auditorium throughout the city. As soon as the auditorium was cleared of the spectators, the party was fortunately granted permission by the university to turn their school's auditorium as their temporary party and campaign headquarters.

In a small round table at the center of the auditorium, Ishida then arranged all the 45 founding members of the party (there were currently around 890 members) to discuss how their movement was going to be organized.

"Things will be simple..." Ishida said. "As a small organization, we should focus on immediate organization growth so therefore there should no room for debate on the decisions made by the leadership as democracy would only waste our time. We have to have decisive. Is that clear?"

"Yes Monsieur!" The other members cried to Ishida's delight. 2030s...here we go again. Ishida thought. Or at least that's what he wants everyone to call him. For things are not as they seem.

The organizational structure was simple, it was like a government. There was a minister of information (perhaps is Ishida's second in command), minister of statistics and facts (the largest sector, which was closely tied to the minister of information), minister of finances, minister of public affairs and minister of organizational and membership affairs. Each one of them were appointed by Ishida after he had evaluated them using aptitude tests with the help of statistician brothers Tim and Kim Watanabe.

Financing of the campaign at this point was purely based on the donations of the members of the organization so they were yet to be able to do anything serious outside of the internet and other cheap ways of campaigning. When compared to the other large parties, even the liberty party, they appeared to be dwarfed and stood no chance. However, the minister of information was determined that the media itself, which if used smartly, was going to change that.

The nation of Kirishima is currently undergoing through historical political crossroads which will not only determine what kind of society the Kirishimans might have because it will also determine this particular nation's place in the world stage as Kirishima has been involved in key alliances such as the controversial membership with the Santiago Anti Communist Treaty Organization (SACTO) and at the same time, having close trade and cultural relations with the Philippine bayan, which is SACTO's proclaimed arch enemy in the light of the recent tensions between the nations of Nihon and the Philippines. What makes this election more unique from the other elections is that it has the potential to perpetuate tensions as the Kirishiman political society has been recently introduced to two party's such as the Kiriprog, the Kirishiman progressivist party which demands Kirishima to defend its inherently liberal values as well as pursue a more dominant Kirishima in world affairs by working for the coffee club and the hardline rightist Liberty party, currently being criticized for having links to Nemawashi, a Nihonese ideology.

The Liberty party is blasted by critics to be "anti poor" and "warmongering" for its pursuit of policies to privatizing education as well as reduction in environment and the elimination of welfare in favor of higher military spending, a declaration which has enraged many at attendees of the Kiriprog rally in Hyuga, many of which hail from poor families who struggle to make ends meet.

"From a society of tolerance into a society of hate."

Aside from their brutal emphasis on a free market and lack of any state power and heavier military spending in the expense of welfare for the poor, the Liberty party has been criticized heavily for pursuing several controversial policies that are argued to be "woefully destructive to the compassionate nature of Kirishiman society".

"It is a party that claims to fight for free speech yet they want feminists, LGBT rights to be banned for spreading what they call 'propaganda'. But i tell you, doesn't that involve suppressing free speech?" Kenji Ishida, the leader and a prominent speaker for the Kirishiman progressivist party said in an interview. According to him, the Liberty party is trying to start a culture war to "change the fabric of the Kirishiman society" in favor of the SACTO.

"They also want to distort the civilian culture of Kirishima by turning it into a garrison state." Ishida says outlining their opposing party's emphasis on a stronger Kirishima built out of military power rather than societal and economic unity through high living standards, equal opportunity and respect.

"The fact SACTO wants a more lethal armed forces to allow Kirishima to be able to kill people in other countries more efficiently, they want to ban certain groups from expressing their demands for rights as well as disallowing compassionate policies of welfare just comes to show they want to turn this nation into a society of hate." Ishida adds.

'A party of irrational paranoid conspiracy theorists'

The Liberty party had also been heavily criticized for having beliefs closely aligned to the Nihonese doctrine of Nemawashi which outlines that traditional culture is in "danger" to Cultural Marxism, a 21st-century conspiracy theory that regards the Frankfurt School as the origin of a contemporary movement in the political left to destroy western culture. The message of the conspiracy theory is numbingly simplistic: all the ills of modern culture, from feminism, affirmative action, sexual liberation and gay rights to the decay of traditional education and even environmentalism are ultimately attributable to the insidious influence of the members of the Institute for Social Research, Jews and communists who escaped the Nazi regime and fled to many parts of the world in refuge and sought to continue "corrupting society" through these movements.

The theory in itself has gained traction by the far right and ultra conservative groups who decry the current social movements in society. "It's still a grave mystery why these people who claim to embrace human values and peace want to embrace a culture of hate and a belief that gives them no rest due to constant paranoia." A political commentator said refusing to be named out of fear of being physically harassed.

"These people" Ishida says "Come from a breed of paranoid conspiracy theorists, common in the political leadership of nations like Nihon, Bashria, Maronite Lebanon (a political regime notorious for persecuting Palestinians) and Viktorika. Each of them have black and white mentalities and are hardwired to believe any social values that are not in line with their own are ultimately evil and must be destroyed."

Before the Punch news left Ishida's residence and greeted him goodbye, Ishida adds one more statement. "We need leaders who are understanding and would listen. It would seem that these people who listen only to their own false fears would not be the kind of leaders Kirishima needs." PUNCH

The crowd was electric at the Aincrad Stadium the football pitch of the recent Konami Primer League champions was now the venue for Kasuga's re-election bid to start off. The stadium has a capacity of 73,835 but with the remodeling being applied for a campaign and not a match could seat 75,535 people. As people filed into the stadium music was be played by some well known artists. Two hours after the event started a beautiful woman stepped to the podium in a nice dress, opting to be more conservative in dress after her marriage to the Dirigeant. Her name was Lieselotte Sherlock, now Lieselotte Kasuga.

"Hello Akihabara!" Lieselotte begun to the applause of many. "This has been an interesting and rough time for me as I had to seemingly prove my love for Arata. I have been in love with that man for the longest time and then when he all of a sudden got hand picked by Satsuki herself to run for Dirigeant I was proud and scared. I was proud that the man I love was given the honor to replace Satsuki as our leader and had confidence that he can keep things moving as is....I also felt scared because how was I suppose to court the Dirigeant or even down the line marry the Dirigeant without looking like political maneuvering. Arata is a loving young man who took me in un married and we traveled the nation and saw the enthusiasm as well as determination in everyone eyes. The same way he puts me at ease is the same way he puts Kirishima at ease. Everything he does, every move he makes, Arata is looking at the long term and ensuring the prosperity and security of this nation while maintaining our faith as well as our values. It is at this time I would like to introduce my husband the current Dirigeant. Arata Kasuga!"

His walk in theme

Arata walks in with his theme playing as he waves at the crowd. He walks up to Lieselotte who wraps her arms against him pulling him in for a deep kiss before pulling away and straighten his tie.

"Are you ready darling?" Lieselotte whispered.

"Maybe if I had one more kiss" Arata replied with a playful wink before he got playfully pushed away by his wife.

"Maybe afterwards....and then some" she added before walking of the stage.

Arata then begun shaking some more hands before reaching the podium and nodded as the music faded out. He looked out into the sea of people that filled the stadium.

Arata had to jokingly cover his ears as the applause became deafening. As people began chanting New Day! from his interm election campaigning days. As the voices quieted down Arata begun.

Kirishima is a prosperous nation that focuses internally to make this the very best nation to live in while carrying hidden strength. We have a strong military that does not show of it's strength aggressively but wait's patiently for an appropriate time. We are a nation that doesn't regularly accept outsides but we accept and treat with respect those that legally and fairly moved here. We have no problem reaching our hands out to help refugees who like living here and we have no problem welcoming our Dorian brothers and sisters into our society. We are a group of people who see ourselves as Kirishinan first and not our race, faith, or creed.

My friends, we are not at the peak. There is no such thing as mastery or perfection for we are not like the Goddess. She has given us the power to eventually come close it, on the individual level. For every second we spend doing whatever it is that we do there is always a new way of doing things, new ideas, perspectives, scenarios. We still have work to do. It's a New Day and we have Unfinished Business . We need to ensure that not our workers get good wages but that the employers living the same dream can afford to pay the right wages. 10 weidai an hour in Imyoji is a lot for minimum wage but is not enough in Slavnsk. Wages should be livable and no two locations have the same living conditions.

In a perfect world we would like to see welfare but the way welfare is organized, is not able to efficiently help people and instead leaves it vulnerable to abuse and is a misdirection of funds. We need to send that money to education so that the future generation does not have to rely on welfare and we need to replace welfare with workfare. The work where if you want a job there is a job. Infrastructure is something that helps the economy but always lacks people and funding.

This is different from the workfare that some people out there believe. Some would say that if you can't work for what so ever reason you will not eat, while others promise the sun and the moon. The Kirishinan people need some one with experience and a plan on helping our less fortunate.

Out there, individuals seek to privatize the whole higher learning education system and make it that you need money to learn. Money that you cannot afford because one does not have the job to afford said schooling, which is due to not having the learning. A endless loop that makes it unnecessarily complicated.

At the same time too their are those who promise you the stars and galaxies by seeking ways to make higher education free for all including the top 1% when instead tuition should be based on a combination of Income, Major, Job Market, and location. A poor student seeking to teach young mentally disabled children should not pay the same tuition as the son of a CEO who is taking nuclear physics.

There are some out there that wishes for us to abandon our allies, the allies we've had for the longest time who are there for us, who isn't hostile, whose citizen aren't hostile to us, willing to trade with us infavor of closer relations and more cooperation with an alliance who has no problem attack our embassy. There are some out there who believe we should completely abandon said alliance, with just reasoning. We must remember why we joined and maintain the status quo. We are a nation oppose to communism but we do not engage in lies, we do not support genocidal leaders, we do not support many of the pro sacto non sacto member nations, nor do we try to promote conservatism. We joined the Santiago Anti Communism treaty organizationand you can count on this administration to keep our sovereignty while still helping against legitimate communist threats .

New Geopolitics of the Kirishima - A Warning for future SACTO-Flardania Relations?

ARCHANGEL - Observers and experts in the Royal Institute of International Studies and Research (known simply as RISIR), the empire most prestigious foreign policy think tank, was abuzz with the ongoing election season in Flardania, also known more to Kirishima, a long time ally and co member of the Santiago Anti Communist Treaty Organization (SACTO) and former member of the Cebu Cooperation Pact (Axis), as the world watches in what is likely to be the most important turning point that could drastically change the dynamic in Flardania-SACTO relations.

This election saw the four primary parties contending to rise to power and form the new government in Flardania; at a glance, we sees the HESL Coalition Party; Liberal Union Party; Liberal Party and last but not least the Kirishinan Progressive Party. Doctor Noh Zaheed, a member of the RISIR faculty when contacted, was reported to have said: "None of those parties - with the probable exception of the Liberty Party - are really helpful in advancing SACTO new concepts of internationalism, as the alliance enters into a new phase in combating 'communism'." He said during a telephone conference.

"The rest, once victorious, either decided to limit and restrict existing relations with SACTO. Basically this development in Flardania...is a concern for the alliance, and in sum, basically the future of Flardanian is going to present a unique dilemma to SACTO - as the rest of SACTO leadership advocate for the destruction of the Asignese Bayan while a member of the alliance wishes to foster closer relations and renew an existing alliance; the best scenario for future SACTO-Flardania relations is if the Liberty Party wins the elections.

"But of course, as much a SACTO prefer to have that result, we cannot simply intervene in the politics of the Kirishinan. Aeyariss, Nihonese and the rest of SACTO alliance had always respect the sovereignty its member, enforcing a strict non-interference policy as long as the member policy is in line with SACTO policy. And despite being labelled with a lot of things, SACTO is not an alliance in capable of taking a pragmatic approach when it comes to handling its own members. Whoever wins the elections, it is more than likely that SACTO as an organization will continue to support and defend Flardania from external threat, and pursue a much more close economic relations and not just one that is based purely on military alliance."

When asked what will SACTO do if the politic in Flardania takes a hostile and abrupt change for future SACTO relations;

"Flardanian government is not foolish, they joined SACTO for a reason, and its experience being a member of SACTO should remind them well that they as a country will be better off as SACTO friendly instead of taking an antagonistic approach. Look at what happened to the Asignese Bayan, once a key member of the Axis, but decided against its own principal and become the new nemesis of SACTO and becoming the very thing it swore to destroy."

"No other organization is capable of doing what SACTO is doing at this moment, and unless there's a drastic change in SACTO it is more likely that SACTO will continue to become the strongest external security provider." he said in a concluding remark.

Of course, Doctor Noh is a well known pro-SACTO scholars who in year had advocate a more radical policies to be undertaken by the Aeyariss Empire. Officially, other imperial government officials, a high official in the Ministry of International Relations, when contacted were quoted to have said:

"Technically, their elections isn't a concern for Aeyariss, it's not of our business...but we do care about our economic relations. To Aeyariss as long as the Kirishinan doesn't become too Anti-SACTO or restrict trade with us, any election outcome is acceptable." the Deputy Miniter is quoted

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister, Duke Auliadan Rezata, had these to say to the international community:

Political warfare was about to begin.

Of course, appearance of multiple people from the Progressive Party didn't left the eyes of the Liberty Party system - one that, frankly, was extremely well expanded. Contrary to other political parties, who were going to be typical democratic parties geared up just for typical civilian campaign, Liberty Party was far different; an organization that seen politics as a war, one where all sorts of conventional military rules of operation apply, one where goal isn't just to seize power, but to destroy the enemies also. Therefore, a way to counter Progressive party propaganda in non - violent way was very quickly devised. A home of local party committee member was turned into sort of Information Warfare HQ, with multiple laptops and cell phones being prepared. Each of them, manned by designated people, would take reports from personnel in field tasked with countering the enemy propaganda.

First sign that something is about to happen were few local supporters, each of them with a mobile phone in his pocket, driving towards areas where a progressive party member was seen giving leaflets. Then, stopping up, they would mark their location at YuSat (A Nihonese company provided world map), using private accounts to display the map only to invited people. Then they would either leave in search of another, or continue surveillance of target they reported. After the enemy was identified, process of countering begun.

Having backing mostly in middle class and upper class, Liberty party networks quickly packed themselves into cars and left of the city. Using internet, YuSat and cell phones to coordinate their actions, various tactics to counter the leaflet givers were done. First, after such guy was detected, in focal point nearby would be set a "guardian" from liberty party spreading own leaflets. Then, so called "drain row" was going to be used; unmarked and indistinguishable supporters of liberty party would walk en masse towards the leaflet giver, simply pretending to be ordinary people, taking the leaflets and then carrying them into vans, that would dive them out of the city to be burned. Considering that while Liberty Party had smaller support, but bigger resources than other parties due to being backed by big business, they could allow themselves for far bigger spending than them.

Final of this operation had to be massive demonstration under the gates of the university. Dozens of people, waving Flardanian flags, were going to come, loudly demanding a police investigation of "a corruption within university leadership" and "end of nazi propaganda"!

*** All Across Flardania

Liberty Party already formed strategy of how to deal with the incoming elections, and this strategy was going to work for them. First, do not focus on social issues (which were, frankly, a minor concern due to nature of Flardanian society) and fight for economic issues and values such as Flardanian patriotism, saying that they represent Flardanian national interests and portraying everybody else (especially Progressive & Liberal Parties) as foreign agents and corrupt traitors, ones who want to sell Flardania for their own interests. Second, liberty party had to be something far more than a political party; it had to be mass movement, capable of mobilizing masses against people.

Using the contacts in big business, quick "Liberty Fund of the Betterment of People" was founded, with millions of dollars at ready for the spending. Additionally, out of people who really wanted a change Liberty party started creating "civilian service corps" tasked with helping the people of Flardania with daily issues. This corps had to encompass "minor help" like volunteer fire watch, volunteer waste removers, etc. - in other words, exploit every problem that Flardanians had, for example due to lack of action from local city administration - to gain popularity. The volunteer groups were sent to help people; care for the elderly, act as charity, help people find job, improve local environment, etc... while voicing support for liberty party all the time. Of course, said groups weren't really going to be part of Liberty Party itself - but proper lawyers already used proper holes to ensure that while officially separate, those organizations could still support said party. Corporate media were going to broadcast those "civilian service corps" operations all around, to ensure everybody sees them. Most important of those organizations was going to be "Patriotic Fund of Flardanian Veterans", which, using the fact that most of Liberty Party candidates had a military background and promised to strengthen military and include better pay for soldiers, attempted to win the veterans for them.

But the time for final, and most major speech was about to happen. A direct speech from Mr. Lee Sang Eun himself, broadcast by Radio Vendea:

"Fellow Flardanians, fellow people who live in this glorious nation that suffered so much, and that deserves better:

I am addressing you now, considering that our enemies - not mine enemies, your enemies, enemies of Flardanian people and sovereign Flardania - accuse us of uncreated things just in purpose of ousting us from election. Why do they do so? Isn't it obvious? They are afraid that we will outs them from power, because at this moment we are only force in Flardanian politics that stands purely for the interests of Flardanians, and not foreign powers. Let us look at where they get their cash from. Progressive Party? 50 million from whiteshore, open foreign financing of what calls itself "Flardanian". Who are they really then? Foreign agents, anti - Flardanians and traitors, whose only goal is to ensure that the clique of three stands in power, while YOUR voice is out.

They come barking like a pack of hungry wolves attempting to devour their prey, their fangs bare, their jaws ready to close on the prey and suck it's blood, for they come to feast on you, and take your property, that no one should own besides you. Private property is holy, it should not be moved. And in all of this, they claim to stand for the poorer people. Let me ask you then; why are you taking money of those you claim to protect?

They claim that we want to enslave you to SACTO? Had we taken a single dollar from SACTO, like they did from their backers? No, we never did, while they grab cash to continue their anti - Flardanian policies. None of us support Nemawashi, a Nihonese ideology made for Nihonese culture. Only reason why we stand with SACTO is, that SACTO is best chance for us to defend Flardanian interests on international scene; not Dorian, but our interests, interests of our people!

Let me state this openly; I am not building an utopia. Contrary to them who promise you golden hills from the state, I will not create an ideal society. It is not possible. Because road to greatness always was through mountains, through hard rocks, and through hard labor, something which they - the lazy people who can only rely on someone else's money for yet another bill in parliament that won't solve anything, but will make even more mess for the common man - they are true problem in Flardania, one and only.

In this hour of test for our entire nation, I address my fellow men in the field of village, I address my fellow man in factory as much as to owner of that factory; we have to destroy class struggle and unite as Flardanians, or we will fall!

Old roman rule said divide and conquer. If we will continue to be divided, we will fall. I do not want to prefer the rich. I do not want to prefer the poor. I want us united to stand as one, together, facing the future as one nation where every of us cares for another. Why? Because we will not survive if we don't.

Why then, in case when I prefer free market capitalism, I do shout that? Because the fact that poor need to be given more is a leftist lie! Lie that caused so much misery. I never denied charity or help to those who need it, but the problem is; government using too much YOUR money is NOT a charity; it is a COMMERCIAL TRANSACTION, and should be treated like what it is; a thievery! Their anti - Flardanian policies will NOT BE Tolerated any more!

I do not want to completely privative everything, but the same effect that Liberal Party, Progressive Party or HESL party wants to achieve we could have achieved if we cut all those unneeded taxes and allowed you to finance your healthcare with far better income you will have. Why? Because you DO pay for health care already! Where do your taxes go? The answer is; some of it go into healthcare, and rest into pockets of Liberal politicians, who fester and grow like a cancer on YOUR WEALTH! But they do not realize that wealth of your fellow man is limited, and soon it is going to end. Once it does, you will be left without anything, and they with everything! Socialism is a theft, and we will not be thieved! Let us answer to financial vampires that stand so well united against us: YOU WILL NEVER HAVE OUR CASH! FOR TRULY FREE FLARDANIA!"

The speech was going to be put en masse on the Internet, for example on YouTube where it would be added to an epic music and patriotic images. Proper graphic designers would design memes, such as "liberal financial vampires", where several leftist politicians would be portrayed a la count Dracula, with several Flardanian drachmas put on their long teeth, and below written "I am coming for more! Prepare your cash, for taxes will be high!"

The same moment massive operation in the Internet - carried out by multiple networks of organized trolls - would attack foras and discussion groups of supporters of remaining three parties, with trolls using chats to cooperate the efforts, and openly attempt to turn every discussion group into rubbish bin of pro - Liberty Party propaganda.

1900 Hours: Heiwa, Kirishima. (22/11/2026)

Thousands of Dorians escaping oppression in New Yama were flowing into Kirishima nearly every day, some of them escapees from the border shutdown that Admiral Quardya ordered, to seal New Yama out from the rest of the world. Nearly every single day, a Dorian was taking the Kirishinan oath of citizenship, and becoming an eligible voter in the upcoming elections. Now, an entire district of Heiwa became known as the Dorian Quarter, as a vast majority of the former refugees, now Kirishinan citizens resided. Dorian was widely spoken, as new businesses, restaurants, and houses were draped in the flag of the Federal Union of Guadalupador. The Dorian Quarter was quickly becoming a home away from the Motherland that the refugees held so dear. The Dorians were on their way to becoming a large political demographic that would help decide the next election, and it was apparent as all over the Dorian Quarter people made signs, and organized demonstrations about the upcoming elections. The most popular topic of discussion, was over whom to support: The Lib Dems, or the HESL Coalition Party, with some outliers even considering voting for KiriProg.
There was one thing that the Dorians could collectively agree on: The Liberty Party wasn't going to be the right choice at all. Most didn't believe in the Liberty Party's political charades, and actively protested in front of their official headquarters, waving both the Kirishinan Flag, and the Dorian Flag chanting slogans such as: "The Liberty Party Lies, Freedom Dies!" "Lee Sang Eun Hates Dorians!" and "Stop Taking Silva's Bribes!" Community leaders of the Dorian diaspora community took to the airwaves on Kirishinan TV to denounce the Liberty Party as an uncaring party that would easily sell the Dorians out, and send them to New Yama if they got elected. They also denounced the apparent internet trolling that the Liberty Party was suspected of doing as "literal cyberwarfare on the Kirishinan people." In some opinion polls, the Liberty Party was polling as low as 0.6% amongst the Dorian Diaspora. A group of Dorian veterans from the War in Bethuana crowded the "Patriotic Fund of Flardanian Veterans" and asked if they were going to be covered at all, since they served alongside Kirishinan soldiers during the war, making a large political spectacle of the whole event. It was apparent that the Liberty Party needed to do some damage control in regards to the massively negative reaction of the new Dorian immigrants to their new policies in an attempt to pander to voters.

The puppets of those who watch closely from afar

Kirishima, a country known for its unique cosmopolitan blend of European and Japonic culture is now in its crossroads. Four sides pit against each other in order to gain the upperhand but however, unlike the previous political battles that has happened in this nation, this one is different because it has happened during the time of two great powers pointing knives at each other's throats: the self proclaimed bayan which is notorious for its previous dictator named Erin Terten (whose style of leadership is akin to the totalitarian rulers like Mao Tse Tsung and Adolf Hitler) and the self styled "anti communist" organization called SACTO (which is however, not a single nation but a diverse group of nations allegedly united under the goal of eradicating communism). Previously, there were only two parties that were competent enough to fight against each other namely being the centre right HESL coalition party as well as the left wing Liberal democratic union but now, an additional two parties have come into the spotlight such as the far right Liberty party and the Allegedly far left Kirishiman progressivist party which are arguably only nothing more than radicalized versions of their dominant counterparts funded by foreign interest groups with Kiriprog receiving funds from Whiteshorian donors (although it is yet to confirm whether or not it has accepted them, it bears undeniable ideological and platform similarity in form to the current incarnation of the Asigna party) and the Liberty party's agenda of ruling Kirishima to impose radically neoconservative social policies (one of its lighter agendas), cut off ties with the bayan and replacing them with a unnaturally stronger ties with SACTO which makes it clear that the party exists to serve the interests of the organization.

Even with their low chance of winning, the two new parties are known for bickering against each other instead of battling to gain legitimacy over the current order, this lack of focus of winning against the 2 older and dominant parties are one of the reasons why the parties fail to gain any massive attention and momentum in the election.

Should these two parties however be successful would mean the end of true independence for Kirishima with the bayan having a history of manipulating like minded nations to become puppet states like Thailand and its endangered Buddhist tradition, Romiran, Whiteshore, Ardoki, Brytene (as well as its agenda of removing religion with its current actions in Yemen) and many more and SACTO apparently doing the same with its policy in Guadalupador and now in Kirishima through the liberty party in order to further the Nemawashi ideology.

It is important that in this crossroads, true self determination will occur, however, this cannot be done with the dangers of the media controlled by these power cliques so Kirishima could become its own nation, not just a means to an end for the greater players in the struggle to gain dominance in the current ideological cold war that now divides the world.

Heiwa, Kirishima -- In a very rare chance, one of University of Saint Viktor von Xanten's political analysts Steven Chersbourg, and Triumphant's widely-acclaimed host Mark Daveson, in their analysis of the happening Kirishima elections and the viewpoint of "true democracy" practiced in Augustanica, the most democratic nation-state in Quirina.

Daveson: Good day, ladies and gentlemen, including those of third gender ones, and all to our viewers in the world and those who use proxy servers for live streaming because your country is an authoritarian dictatorship that calls itself a free country, I'm Mark Daveson, and I'm here in Kirishima in a very rare interview in a very special place of our topic today, which is in Kirishima. With us to guide us in our quest of knowledge, we have Steven Chersbourg, one of the political professors and analysts from the University of Saint Viktor von Xanten, College of Political Studies.

Chersbourg: Hello, Mark. It's great to have you here.

Daveson: Well, it's great to have democracy if it's Augustanica.

Chersbourg: Well, Augustanica is a very democratic country to start with. Of course, we both know that we can participate in the process of policy-making and legislation. We don't vote for politicians, because our General Constitution provided it as a natural-born right, that all citizens of Quirina, even in Augustanica can propose, oppose and implement policies that can help and deter their own nations.

Daveson: Well, that's true. I was also part of the process. I do remember being part of a diplomatic engagement, which is really a great opportunity for me to expose myself to the realities, absurd realities, of international relations.

Daveson then proposes the crowd to clap their hands in support with hand gestures to make his guest smile.

Chersbourg: Certainly. This is the benefit of true democracy in Quirina, especially in Augustanica that really suits any general population in modern sense. Regardless of your cultural background, if the populace is intellectual and aware enough of the situation of their nation, definitely they can have the real voice and propose new ideas for their government and state. This is also the reason why democracy is contested because there are individuals out there who are willing to bargain their resources in the name of daily affairs. Not that I am contesting other types of democracies, but there is only one kind of democracy that can be practiced perfectly.

Daveson: So, tell us, professor. What does exactly a democracy should be? Does it need election? What policies should it commit? Does it require a political compass of some sort to navigate itself evenly? Do we rock the boat to sink it?

Chersbourg: For me, as far as classical literature is concerned and following the words of the first democratic philosophers, the "power to the people" only applies to the people, not as a group, but as an individual. Elections are supposed to be for policies, not for candidates. It is silly to vote for someone who does not address the generally disagreed issue, even not knowing the real problem is. Representative democracy is the biggest scam of democracy, ever. We saw that in the United States, we saw it in France, we saw it around the world, and there are only three requirements to attain true democracy: first is by making both the people, or citizens, as the government itself; second is by addressing true issues only within a day; and lastly, willing to start an argument to create a solution. I know it is really absurd to hear in modern thinking, but this is true democracy, Mark.

Daveson: Looking at Kirishima, do you think they had achieved democracy?

Chersbourg: Certainly not. Looking at the party line-ups, their platforms do not address the general issues of the public. They align their goals based on metrics and measurements. Also, from what I see, there is also lack of common goal between parties and it does not make up what a nation should be, if it follows democratic practice. All what matters in this election is to show the world that "there is democracy in this country, we are friendly to this side, blah blah blah, and we are free to have it with no bloodshed" which are all illusory to say the least. Simply because there is election does not imply there is democracy. North Korea holds elections, but only to one candidate: King Kong Ill. China have elections, but only to one candidate: Giggly Ping. Ardoki have elections, but they're certainly not a democracy, and never will they be.

Huge rounds of laughter and clapping ensued as both Daveson and Chersbourg smiled and laughed a bit.

Chersbourg: So, going back, these political parties tend not to represent any Kirishima's citizens' pleas directly. They are following some sort of interest, which is international, mostly. Like does Kirishima exist just to please foreigners? Is this a replay of the Opium Wars? Or is Kirishima a nation, really? I'm not against the political parties, but I'm against the impression of elections equates to democracy. One thing that saddens me is the fact that the true definition of democracy is forgotten, and most modern nations cannot apply it in fear of something that doesn't exist.

Daveson: What would be your parting words for any Kirishima citizen that might be listening to you today, professor?

Chersbourg: Make up your mind Kirishima. Your political parties are divided because you are tied to this alliance with a stupid nation, then you're also tied with an alliance with this international alliance, and then, not even contented, you even chose to be a buffer between warring sides when you were once needed. This is not democracy your country is practicing. Anything that deviates from democracy is tyranny, it's polar opposite. Not the tyranny we know of, but a rule of a single person or entity, be it the government that quote-and-quote represents your interest and works for the nation. That is just an illusion to make your daily life worse. Democracy, a true one, is hard work, if you ask me. You will need to attend to assemblies daily, debate endlessly until it gets done, you hear court cases yourself as jury and witness and close it within the day, and yes, it happens in Augustanica. Incomparably, Augustanica is more democratic than any country in Quirina, let alone the whole damn world.

Daveson: Wow, that's a lot, and I'm pretty sure we'll still meet next week, professor, at the Senate halls to hear another session about another Quirinese issue?

Chersbourg: Absolutely. And as I said earlier, democracy is a proven practice that can only be applicable to an open-minded, informed and educated citizenry.

Daveson: I certainly agree. Well, ladies and people of the world, this has been a load of information for us. And I hope you enjoyed a great talk with us. But before we end our program, let's hear a small quote from an American who hates democracy. Here's Thomas Jefferson's words: "A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people take away the rights of the other forty-nine." Would make sense to me if the electorate is either selfish and ignorant.

The show ends with loud cheering and applause, with the smiles of both Daveson and Chersbourg while sitting in their couches facing each other and had a small talk as the camera pans away from them.

Flardanian Elections: Distinguishing Fact from Propaganda

Hello everyone! As you may have heard, elections are underway in Flardania/Kirishima - a double SACTO-IFC ally and a key trade partner. The current parties up to the ballot are the ruling HESL Coalition led by the incumbent Arata Kasuga, the Liberal Democrats, the rightist grassroots Liberty Party, and the progressivist Kiriprog. A wide variety of things are at stake, ranging from economic matters to the nation's position in SACTO.

Our own Président Peresque has urged Inyurstans from taking sides, and to "let the Flardanian people choose their own path." Peresque reportedly made a reference in a behind-the-scenes interview about our own minority Alternative Coalition having more support among foreign progressives, Neo-western "liberals", and other hostile or pseudo-hostile factions abroad, and warned against coming off as hypocritical.

Instead tonight, we will focus on the rhetoric spoken by each contender, as well as their critiscism both internal and abroad, to help you distinguish between fact and propaganda.

The four players in this years elections in Kirishima.

So far, it appears the HESL Coalition has made promises to continue the status quo. Other than a promise for reform of the minimum wage, nothing else they have said would seem to contradict these promises.
HESL represents the status quo, unfortunately obvious but FACT.

Next, we have the Liberty Party, a pro-SACTO movement which has brought a more worldly, Asiatic-style conservatism to the political mix as well as a moderate dose of Neoliberalismo economics. They have been criticized as puppets of Nihon and the SACTO alliance as a whole.
However, as public donation records have shown, they have taken no donations from any outside sources. In addition, claims of their adherence to Nemawashi Doctrine are easily dismissed by both the party itself, as well as a lack of evidence.
The Kiriprog furher Kenji Ishida has also criticised them for apparently being "paranoid", yet they make this claim by citing some obscure anti-Semitic conspiracy theory which the Liberty Party has never mentioned once - ironically we are forced to wonder why Kenji Ishida seems so well versed in Euro-centric, crypto-fascist, anti-Semitic conspiracy theories...
The Liberty Party is a SACTO puppet = PROPAGANDA
The Liberty Party is "paranoid conspiracy theorists" = PROPAGANDA

Coming in after that is the Kirishinan Progressive Party, a.k.a. "Kiriprog". Kiriprog is a radical progressivist party which appears to resemble Reich Furher Erin Ternten's National Socialist "Asigna Party", and has been labelled as such by their supporters, however this remains unconfirmed. Their leader, Kenji Ishida has claimed his party stands for freedom of expression yet their party platform contradicts this when they openly advocate the degradation of religious expression and the enforcement of "humanist" values on school children. As previously mentioned, they also have criticized the Liberty Party as puppets, yet they are the ones getting donations from foreign backers - not to mention their entire progressivist beleif is an inherently Western ideology born of Europe, enforced by Europeans and other new-age Westerners, which ultimately takes away any illusion of credibility from any claim they make about "puppets" or "imperialism".
Kiriprog is a closet National Socialist movement similar to the Asigna Party = UNCONFIRMED
Kiriprog stands for Freedom of Expression = PROPAGANDA
Kiriprog has a Neo-Western puppet ideology and takes bribes from foreigners = FACT

Unfortunately we have heard little from the Liberal Democrats, however, the Brytscop is apparently raising money to put this party in power because apparently SACTO are the imperialists out to dump our money in support of a party which will put our culturally-exclusive values in power...
Oh wait...

So there it is, everyone. We presented the facts, now we let you draw the conclusions!

OSHAN EXPOSES KIRIPROG-ASIGNA BRIBERY, PLANS
Trajunescu: "We are certain that it all boils down to the risk of national security of Kirishima"

Forio, MSR Quirina -- With OSHAN under the spearhead committee of Senator Simonof Trajunescu, they led an investigation that details the fraud, bribery and even 'darker' plans of the Kirishima Progressivist Party or KIRIPROG and their uprooted "partnership" with the Asignist Philippine Bayan (which is termed similarly with Nazi German Reich, for familiarity purposes).

In an amazing detail and surprising expose, the committee found out that there had been "mutual exchanges" between the Asignist government and the KiriProg. Aside from their exchange are the massive amounts of undisclosed financial resources from "anonymous donors" that were also detailed with the said report. There was an "initial donation" that took place between the two entities last two months ago and it included a "donation" of 9.3 million Universal Standard Dollars (USD) that was agreed to be paid once the KiriProg is seated into power. The report also details that there were not only one, but seven "exchanges of donations" between the two, and the amount grows larger and larger. Up until now, the report had calculated the amounts and its increasing rates from five percent to ten percent from the original "donation". The KiriProg was also reported to have been safeguarding massive amounts of dollars to foreign banks abroad, with an accumulated amount of 4.5 billion USD, which is enough to run an average nation.

The report also details that there were training programs and consultations between the two organizations and it was found out that KiriProg had been harboring Asignist KK terrorists in Kirishima since their so-called "alliance" had been formed. There were about 128 Asinisg terrorists within the KiriProg party alone, not to mention the other governmental agencies that involve both Kirishima and Asigna. Aside from which, there were also major officials that partook the said exchange with the KiriProg, including Adriano Timenta, Rosie Rivers, and the devil in hiding himself, Erin Terten.

What surprised the committee, which also shocked the audience of Trajunescu, is the plan of uprising if ever the KiriProg loses the elections. In general details, as the much more parts of the content are explicit and too specific to detail, the partisans would raze the whole city of Heiwa to the ground and force the rest of the populace to accept their government, and the usual politically-motivated mutilation and genocide by the KiriProg will follow suit, along with the increase of military presence of Asignist forces in Kirishima, which was planned by both organizations in a very specific flow with careful actuation.

The "O-98 File" has been uploaded for public view at the moment, and the whole Internet community was shocked about such planned atrocity. To make things lighter, they made a meme with some samples below, ridiculing the elections of Kirishima and it's "false democracy", as how it is popularly called.

The latest elections in Flardania has been an interesting election with the Four political parties in Flardania fighting hard to gain power, two of then are the "Liberty" Party and the KiriProg party. The Liberty Party claims to be Kirishinan Nationalists who are protecting Kirishina from "Cultural Marxism" from Manila. But is this claim accurate? Let's analyse their claims about the KiriProg movement:
"KiriProg are stooges of Manila"
-Sorry, but the KiriProg movement's platform states they are merely calling for closer relations with the Bayan, not an alliance
"KiriProg will drag Flardania into a bloody war"
The platform of KiriProg explicitly states that "Opposition yet no military hostile action against SACTO's foreign policy"
"KiriProg are crypto-Fascist"
-Are you nuts? The Bayan is not Fascist and neither are the National Progressives, like in our great country
"KiriProg will usher in an age of Socialist mismanagement in Kirishima"
-Their platform calls for controlled capitalism to help the environment, not nationalization of anything.
"KiriProg will bring decadence and cultural marxism to Kirishima"
-Is anything left of Centre-Right "Cultural Marxist" to you? Their platform calls for a welfare state and everyone having equal rights to basic freedoms.

There you have it, the Liberty Party exposed as the reactionary SACTO stooges as they are and not as Kirishinan Nationalists as they want you to believe.

Upon seeing the sudden surge of anti-Kiriprog articles, it then became clear to Ishida that their opponents was hiring foreign help to step up its campaign. From their headquarters at Hyuga, Ishida did not feel any stress, rather, his heart simply lightened up upon reading the many news articles made by mostly SACTO sources who were seeking to discredit their campaign. Article after article made him either guffaw, laugh in delight or snort the coffee he was drinking with the obvious unintended hilarity of what he called "crudely written propaganda" though his ministers where not too confident about their situation. Since SACTO has become their foe in the field of the media, it was clear that merely writing internet articles was not going to take them anywhere lest they want their own message to be drowned with tenfold the number of propaganda from the Liberty party and their foreign "morale" backers which made Ishida think that they should step up their campaign to a whole new level.

There was no question that they have the Yamatai prefecture's undying support so it was now time for the party, according to Ishida, to turn to the rest of the nation and finally start "Phase 2", the national campaign although this couldn't obviously be achieved by the internet alone.

"Sound and moving pictures..." Ishida hunched as if it was just another option he could pull off so easily. "Not just mere words on the computer screen or on paper. Or else we won't make any real impression on the whole nation, not even beyond the prefecture."

Sensing worries from his finance team, he then reassured them that it was within their ability to achieve his plans to change their media strategy.

"Oh, but we have enough grassroots funds from our supporters in Yamatai to print solid 10 second messages in the heads of TV watchers nationwide."

Ishida then instructed his media and information personnel to create a short television advertisement that follows two important points: Firstly, they needed to establish Ishida as a television personality rather than just another kind of politician in which "people wouldn't care about after elections", personality on the same order as Ellen Degeneres, Oprah Winfrey, Terten during his regime days (who was known to be the most successful individual to use television to his advantage) and many others. The goal of the Kiriprog was now to create a new kind of loyalty, one that supercedes mere political loyalty and approval due to coinciding ideology, rather, one that can be seen between celebrity and their fans or the TV MC and his loyal audience.

Ishida then outlined his goals to one of his information personnel while he was busy shaving his face. "The solution is simple, they need to constantly see my face over and over until they can never get it off their heads."

Before the personnel could proceed to work with their given priorities, Ishida also added one last time.

"They also need to familiarize my voice to the point they can recognize me at the first note in the radio."

As the flood of the new adverts made it to national television and social media, Ishida then turned to the radio in order to catch the attention of his new target audience. He then proceeded to his next obvious choice, the island of Zipangu, which was known for its moderately liberal population, an ideal stepping stone for the Kiriprog to spread their campaign to the other northern islands before turning to the south. They then arranged a radio segment with a radio man known as Mr. Cross for just one night, after which they would record the entire segment and upload it in the internet or repeat it throughout the nation with their own radio stations so that the Kiriprog can get the message of this first interview across the entire nation thoroughly.

"Good morning Kirishima! This is station 5 for your daily morning interviews. As everybody knows, there is an election going on and currently, 4 parties are in Kirishima battling against each other to see who will get to sit in Monsieur Kasuga's place at Heiwa after all this. We barely have enough opportunity to have a look at them personally and ask them questions which we all want to ask but luckily, one of them is here to make himself and his intentions known to all of us...He is the one who they say fights for keeping the fabric of the peaceful Kirishinan society intact, he is the one who will ensure that every member of our country has the same basic rights no matter who they are or how tall they stand.... he is the Dirigeant candidate from the Kirishinan progressivist party, more famously known as 'Kiriprog'... He is monsieur Kenji Ishida!"

After Mr. Cross's introduction, Ishida's loud energetic voice boomed through the radio stations which was going to be the main medium in which the Kiriprog party will use to spread the word of their existence throughout the nation.

"Thank you for that...flattering introduction.. Although you didn't have to read the introduction my information managers gave to you if you didn't agree with them..."

"It's alright... they were lovely titles..."

Ishida then nodded, still flattered by the way he was introduced.

"Speaking of lovely titles... The title of today's segment is 'Where the Kiriprog currently stands.' which is because the past few weeks have been quite hard for your party given the fact that there have been reports of your party accepting funds from the bayan Future industries corporation to aid in your campaign and how many people..."

By then, Ishida was already snickering before he burst into laughing until tears was leaking from both of his eyes. "I'm sorry..." Ishida sniffed as he bowed in sincere apology and wiped his eyes. "Go on...Go on..."

"...Okay, many columnists now claim that your party is nothing more than a lackey of the foreign powers, most notably Asigna Philippines...How KK agents control your party...."

"Hold on... you may stop right there, i perfectly understand your question Monsieur...." He interrupted. "It's just that, the way you say it makes the allegations against our party sound much more ridiculous than how i read it myself. I mean seriously?...KK agents?"

"Well, that's how i read it in another official document of a paper backing the Liberty party, the Triumphant was it?..."

"Ah, so i see... they have come that far as expected..."

"Regardless of the hilarity...how do you respond to these allegations?"

"First off, let have a simple greeting to my fellow countrymen because warm kindness is of extreme importance to our culture....Good morning beautiful people of Kirishima my fellow countrymen! Rue Déesse!"

He said, shortly before pumping a fist in the air.

"As for the question Mr. Cross said earlier about the recent ....rumors.... i have only one simple answer: I don't have to respond them."

"You don't?"

"Well, for one, it's not the truth so i don't have to explain myself. I mean come on! KK agents? Being manipulated by foreign governments? Where'd that come from? Just because we call ourselves progressive doesn't mean we answer to Moriarty or Timente... You what's their problem? They read too much political thrillers or watch too much cold war era spy films."

"There's still the issue about the Future industries funding scandal..."

"It's not a scandal if you nothing to apologize about... I mean, we didn't even accept those funds... We don't accept funds from bigger powers simply because the Kiriprog is for the masses and what a way to represent the masses than to accept funds from a corporation who wants you to win as bribery for their own interests to take place. They can say whatever they want... say whatever lies they could think of or come up with conspiracy theories about the funds that they were supposed to be secret about why i didn't accept those funds but the truth remains, i didn't accept those funds. I publicly stated it on Setsuzoku and the Punch...

And yet there are still who criticize me as if i really accepted those funds. Take for example, this excerpt from an Inyurstan newspaper 'However, as public donation records have shown, they have taken no donations from any outside sources.' and quote...Well news...flash! I didn't!"

He paused for a while.

"Keep in mind that these people is using these funding scandal as the basis for their conspiracy theory that we are nothing more than a puppet of the Filipino bayan... Although the ones who so fiercely accuse us as puppets are in fact articles written by publications based in SACTO nations and are the fiercest backers of the Liberty party."

"So in short, you are condemning the Liberty party with the same accusation as they fired at the Kiriprog?"

"While i am not in the position to reveal another round of allegations such as the Liberty party is backed by Nihonese agents and etcetera to counter with the lies fired by my political opponents, i do have this to say to everyone, Liberty party gets a lot of encouragement and media sponsorship from SACTO nations while the bayan on the other hand has made no move to influence the opinion of Kirishinans everywhere... not even in their own nation to influence the view of Filipinos on our country's elections using the media."

"Allegations aside, what do you have to say about Kirishima under Arata Kasuga's regime?"

"It's been good but it's not enough..."

"So...Kasuga's dirigeantship was satisfactory to some level but not fully?"

"Indeed, the current system in which we are under is woefully not enough if we want Kirishima to be able to use the fullest of its abilities! We have lots of issues left to tackle which Kasuga has been so soft to!"

"Like what?"

Rumors swirled of a possible intervention by Aravean forces within the ongoing Bashriyan Civil War or the levying of sanctions against the Bayan of Asigna, with both possibilities generating considerable trepidation within the audience. Yet as a silver haired elderly man, dressed in a crisp black suit strode briskly and confidently towards the podium at the center of the room, all of the voices fell silent. The man, better known to the world as Primarch Adolphus Stadfeld, stood firmly as he began to speak in booming voice, "My fellow Araveans,we are blessed to live in a society that for the past century has fought and held at bay the scourge of leftist tyranny. Yet one of our so called "allies" is under threat of a leftist takeover. As you know, Kirishima is facing elections in which a part, known as the Kiriprog seeks to implement so called reforms that will alter the country's government to be like that of Asigna. With this as well as the noted tyranny of Asigna in mind, I call upon all citizens of Kirishina to do their part in ensuring that such an outcome does not come to pass. The so called candidates of the Kirishinan Progress Party are little more than scoundrels who seek to ruin your country with the bankrupt and insidious ideas of "Progressivism", which will ultimately leave your nation as a husk of its former self. Fortunately there is hope for our allies in the form of the Liberty Party, which seeks to maintain the traditions and spirit of the nation. Bonjour et Kon'nichiwa, welcome to Newsroom Today on the KBC Network, I'm Jwa Ji Woo. At this time with the polls closed it is now official. Arata Kasuga will still be Dirigeant of the Taisuist Republic. Kasuga pulled in major support and historic large voting turnout on the islands of Yamatai and Iroshima a feat that was necessary to edge out Myeong Yi who came in a not too distant second.

While Yamatai and Iroshima prefecture where strong points for Kasuga, they were a major handicap for the Liberty Party candidate. In Yamatai prefrecture alone not a single vote outside Hyuga went towards the liberty party and even within Hyuga the party struggled. While a defeat in Yamatai was expected not many foresaw the extent of such a defeat. While Tachibana had a good economic platform his weakness was in Domestic policy specifically Environmental policy, Orthodox in Tokushima, prostitution, LBT rights, and pornography. His views on the SOA hurt him in prefectures neighboring Tokushima while the others mentioned had hurt him in Yamatai, Iroshima, as well as high population areas in Zipangu. Kasuga in debates often would criticize Tachibana often in debates and ads in a strategy to unite those who oppose Tachibana's platform under his banner. Kasuga also made sure to remind voters of there human duty to care for the earth of the Goddess and the source of Kirishinan tourism, an important economic sector to the nation.

Myeong Yi did well but Kasuga strategy against Tachibana helped eased the damage she caused him. Yi had often criticized his parties narrow and hypocritical views of LGBT rights. Saying rights to LBT groups were not enough especially with male and male relationships requiring at least one male to be androgynous or feminine in appearance to be publicly recognized. When Kasuga pointed to the Goddess not approving the rejection of feminine charms, Yi tactically called Kasuga out for hypocrisy in recognizing LGBT rights for Dorian refugees. Where Kasuga claimed he did not want to destroy what was previously established Yi accused Kasuga of vote pandering. Myeong Yi's biggest flaw based on exit polls was desiring an increased role in the IFC which has grown more unpopular and exiting the Iron Pact which helped Kirishima safely receive oil from the middle east until Kirishima can be more energy independent. Her flaws, her campaign of making good better which essentially was saying Kasuga was not a bad Dirigeant and primarily Kasuga picking up the voters the Liberty Party isolated led to her conceding the election.

Kenji Ishida came in last place he initially gained large grassroots support in Yamatai and Kiyomisu but Tachibana domestic agenda helped changed priority in those areas and with a smaller platform in comparison with decreasing relevance of views Kiriprog faded into the background. Ishida mostly attracted those to the far left whose parties did not make the final four, and individuals sick of events like Nosomo despite no Dorian group endorsing them. Kasuga has not yet given a speech as we have not reached media day but he has stated that "Before it was me carrying Kiryuin legacy and the status quo. Towards the end I started being my own person and made sure to restore Kirishinan culture. The people decided they like that and with that confidence I will be able to bring some further changes to this nation." Myeong Yi had the opportunity to appeal for a second round between Kasuga and her but decided to concede saying that Kasuga earned it and even if she did contest the results all of the Liberty Party would endorse Kasuga over her and that would definitely put him over the top. Now with Kasuga's madate reaffirmed we can only watch to see what's next. Now onto our next story...
