Overview
Integralism (Spanish: Integralismo) also called Martinezism from Gen. Raul Martinez, its founder is officail political ideology of Gran Cuscatlan, and official doctrine according to which the county is being governed, derived from official ideology of Cuscatlani Falange, Nationalist / Capitalist organisation that fought communists in Cuscatlani war of Liberation (1976-79). Some people compare Integralism to fascism, but that association is mistaken, since Integralism arose out of criticism of fascism and attempt to form new version of nationalism, which would replace fascism on Cuscatlani political scene. It has been created in secret, among group of Military officers (soon Junta Militar de Salvación Nacional), in original publication as 17 points of Martinez, according to which the county had to be regenerated from communism. Even if at the beginning there was considerable fascist wing, it has been very quickly purged out by Raul Martinez; modern political thinkers associate Integralism with "Authoritarian Conservatism". It places strong emphasis on national-religious Christian identity of Cuscatlani people, even if emphasises separation of Church and state, always supports religion - derived morals. It's major three values are order, patriotism and faithfulness. It is openly anti-democratic, anti-liberal (in social sense, because it adheres to neo-liberal economy) and heavily anti-socialistic ideology.
The original manifesto was written around April 1975, and secretly distributed among military which was getting more and more disloyal to the government. Among major points are: Unification of all former Cuscatlani lands (accomplished by creation of Gran Cuscatlan in 1981), Cuscatlani and Hispanic unity, Elimination of regional separatism, establishment of Junta led by Integralists to replace democracy, promotion and development of Gran Cuscatlan (concept of national greatness of Cuscatlan), capitalist economy and respect for private property but with placing emphasis of own' forces and ensuring that banks won' t destroy free market economy and creation of system of vertical trade unions to allow state to solve the differences between classes.
Integralism sees left as enemy, but denies use of genocide to eliminate them.
Nationalism
Major trait of Integralism is nationalism, which is marked by rejection of racism. Race, according to Martinez, is senseless concept. Instead, all the races should unite for greater good of the nation. Martinez never created any form of hierarchy of races or other forms of racial discrimination, and publicly cut himself from Anti-Semitism, giving support to Israel and supporting Zionism (israel received a lot of arms from Cuscatlan). Rejection of racism was done alongside with giving each race equal rights.
One of major traits of Martinez was "Christian spiritual regeneration" of Cuscatlan. Martinez was non-divisional Christian, who was evidently not Catholic (and neither is Miguel Vanelli) but he put huge emphasis on connection between religion and society. While he was for secularism, secularism in his oppinion was to protect Church from state, not otherwise, and to ensure freedom of belief. However, he openly called for adherence to Christian morals when making a decisions; during his reign, LGBT rights were banned, abortion was banned, and law was based on the Bible.
Leftism is seen as major threat to the nation. The political left, while only communists were persecuted, had limited rights to enter offices during Martinez's times.
Family was seen as nucleus of social life by Martinez, who supported traditional gender roles, and opposed feminism, creating vision of woman as loving mother and submissive wife. However, he also imposed many rights to women, like rights to vote and programs protecting them from abuse, claiming that weaker ones deserve protection.
Authoritarianism
Integralism rejects democracy as "weak scam" and supports authoritarianism as opposition to democracy and totalitarianism. However, Martinez ruled mostly as father instead of dictator, thus his enormous popularity in Cuscatlan. There was no terror, and only communists were persecuted.
Supporting him was Junta of military officers, JMSN. Martinez always seen need of military in politics to secure the nation's interests.
Economics
Martinez always supported social solidarity and cooperation of classes to achieve common good. Private property was seen by him as holy and untouchable. He also claimed that differences in wealth are natural, but if those of different levels of wealth cooperate, the nation can become great. Martinez imposed Free Market Capitalist reforms after taking power, which led to creation of system of huge corporations (Canaos) which currently dominate in Cuscatlani economy.
Banks were always seen with distrust, and heavily monitored/controlled by Cuscatlani government, ensuring the safety of economy from speculation. There was also idea of relying on own forces, but not resigning from trade.
To support the vision of cooperating society a system of vertical trade unions was created. The system was to allow state to remove class tensions by taking arbitrary role between employers and employees.
