Space, the final frontier...

New Zealandia is now at the point of colonising the stars. Now we are seeing increased interest in Space within the past year than in the past 40. Now is a time for change... Here is our time to explore strange new worlds, to find new life and new civilisations, to boldly go, where no one has gone before.

A joint alliance between Esceen and Tattland has been formed... We shall lead New Zealandia into space exploration and exploitation.

Tattland and Esceen in a joint alliance are developing a Nova class Starship. Designed as an exploration vessel. Esceen will be making the ship whilst Tattland will create the Mark 6 Pericon Torpedoes for the ship, as well as a new generation of parasite fighters equipped with high energy Magnet propelled Explosive Proton clusters. These weapons will be the most effective weapons know to space. These parasite fighters are called Starcon class fighters, they will have a crew of three: One for engines, one for the helm and one for the weapons. These fighters are capable of taking on much larger ships, and its maximum speed is Warp 4.

Prepare your Anu... I mean Starships.

Esceen has begun development of the first Esceenian space vessel called the Nova Class. It is designed as an exploration and research vessel, however it will be heavily armed just in case of hostile life forms or rival factions. It has a crew of 80 and is designed with 10 Phaser Banks and will be outfitted with 10 pericon torpedoes. The testing of the Nova Class prototype is scheduled to be within the next 6 months.

[Lost Phantoms]

In addition to the Europa project, lost phantoms have begun working on swarms of nanoships that will fly in a cluster of several million and take samples/photos of distant expolanets.
Each nanoships will be several mm in diameter and powered by a phantomium drip that enables the use of gravity-reversing shields that reduce their mass to zero and enable faster-than-light travel.
Each nanoship also has mini robotic arms for manipulating the environment around it.
Each nanoship can sense where the nanoships next to it are and by that means get an idea of what the environment looks like.
The phantomium drip is several hundred times more powerful than traditional neuclear power but doesn't have the same chain-reaction effect so using it as a weapon is pointless.

Space "super-weapons" are unobtainable, due to them costing so much money and mass-production is godmodding.
Space Warfare is separate to Earth Warfare, keep it that way.

The construction of the Tattland - Esceen Space Coalition Stardock named "Aarhas" is underway. It is located over Earth. Esceen suggests that other factions build their stardocks over earth in order to make central hubs for their faction.

[Lost Phantoms]

In a 1/1,000,000 chance the nanoships ran into a planet just after their mission began.
Currently the nanoships are exploring and mapping the planet and signs seem good, SO FAR...
The lost phantoms Europa mission carrying colonists and special equipment is being diverted to charox in an attempt to setup a mining colony.

But some of the nanoships are detecting life forms that may prove trouble for the colonists.

Will update when the original "Europa" mission arrives at charox,

The UCP has discovered a Terran like planet known now as Laskaris, and is now the capital of the UCP. Charox is also now under UCP protection. The first star ship to be commisioned by the UCP is now in service, and it is called the U.S.S. Halifax. It is an aformentioned Nova Class star ship, however it is currently missing the mark IV Pericon torpedoes.

As the Europa mission slowly heads towards its new destination of charox, the crew gets a message from the central government back at lux. This message tells them that charox and soon to be colony is now under the protection of the coalition of planets, a relief fills the cabin as the colonists now have reassurance that charox will be undisturbed from pirates and wotnot.
Then they recieve a single image from one of the nanoships, of a beautiful frozen landscape

As more Nova Class star ships are being commissioned, 3 Nova Classes have set course to Charox, and have explicit Instructions to protect the planet and it's colonists until UCP Phaser Turrets have been built as a defense grid around the planet.

As the U.S.S. Excelsior warped toward Charox, Captain Williams felt proud. He had become a star ship captain, something he would never dreamed of happening. He stared at the viewscreen, watching the stars skim by. What would his father say now? Would he be proud of him as Williams had always wanted? If only he could be there right now...

The UCP has decided to build a Star dock in Laskaris' gravity well. This star dock will be known as "Galaxy I". Construction vessels have already commenced the first phase of construction. Also, UCP High Command grant the request to Phantoms to Build a space station above Laskaris.

Also we WITHDRAW from the UNZSC to form our own XSA: the Xarcanian Space Agency.

The first manned ship from the Kiwi Union has arrived on the planet Freedonia. The terrain very much resembles Mars, but the rocks contain a new Element which we have named Kiwium. Tests are currently underway to determine it's possible uses, while a small laboratory and astronaut housing complex is now under construction on the planet surface. There is no sign of intelligent life here, only microscopic organisms the size of viruses, which cluster around the frozen water which has been discovered at the planet's South Pole. In other space-related news, we have established several unmanned satellites around the Sun, and will begin harvesting Solar energy in accordance to the agreement which was made with Damaqi.

Although cold, there are no signs of intellegint life, Charox is a pure botanical planet so it will serve as a peaceful relaxation for tourists once the research is done and the colonists have completed their mission.

And the aarakis mission has landed on aarakis and begun mining spice.
