Unfortunately yes. I don't regret telling you guys about it, since I also told people who participate in SF (are any of you from there?)

I was about to do it, but we Greeks don't have good songs, so I left.

Is it even fair to advertise another song contest off-site, especially when you get benefits from getting people to join it? :eyebrow:

(But then again it seems fun - just the rules are too draconian for my liking - like a song less than a year old...)

Represented permanently at the World Assembly by Benjamin Olafsen, and on an ad-hoc basis by Alethea Norrland and rarely Gaia Pao and Gabriel Dzichpol.
OOCly retired from the GA/SC for something called 'real life'.
Author of GA#288 and SC#148.

Mr Liamson Tour

KwaDai

BENGHAZI, KwaDai- 25/10/14

This was the first country outside of the Britonish Commonwealth. The first song made the crowd roar. Initially there was supposed it be about 72,000 people watching but because of the stage size, only 57,000 seas were available. Out of all the songs, Deceived by The World was their favourite, this being after the worldVision song contest on Weds 22 October.

TRIPOLI, KwaDai

Now, Tripoli had an audience of 67,000 people because the stage was a bit smaller but the difference between here and Benghazi was the use of dancers. Here there are more dancers and strobe lights. The musics seemed like it had more bass. Out of the 13 songs, the Tripoli group liked Je Voudrais un jambon. Next we move on to Peeto (27, 28) in Polkopia.

At the same time I advertised this contest to those people. And yeah I think we should tone down the posts before this becomes an SF thread.

What is this SF? As long as they don't kill people and blow up the stage, i'd be willing to check it out...

Here:

Kalosia wrote:Wait, some of the bids indeed are joke bids, but weren't some of them not officially bids, as in they didn't actually want to host? (Nothing we can do about it now tho)

Song Festival is an online Song Contest, not only for fans of the Eurovision Song Contest, but also fans of world music and culture. "Delegations" represent a country by sending a music video of their chosen song. These entries then compete in the Song Festival Format, which sees 3 weeks of competitions; The Heats round, The Jury heat, and the Grand Final. Countries from all around the world are welcome and encouraged!

Basically you submit an actual song, which means you don't have to write lyrics or a performance. You have to vote in your assigned semifinal and the final. Songs in the 2nd Chance round are reviewed by actual music professionals (not high-level people tho).
Homepage / Rules / Available countries
Sign-ups are currently open for the 24th edition of the contest, and instructions for signing up are available on the homepage. Also if you're signing up tell them the Indonesian delegation brought you there.

Is this really the place to post when your nation was made. It says WorldVision Song Contest, not WorldVision Birthday Party.
