Welcome to Pavonistade. More accurately, welcome to Vadopolis! The largest city of Pavonistade and the capital of the state of North Pavonistade, Vadopolis is also the economic, financial, and cultural capital of the island country. It is a marvel of efficient public transportation (primarily rail transport), strong infrastructure, towering skyscrapers, and well-placed networks of pipes and [related] routes. The city is really living, with construction workers assembling new buildings and maintaining roads, police officers and occasional patrolling soldiers ensuring public safety, sportive players enjoying bustling activities...

It's rather difficult to describe the many parts of Vadopolis, but this goes for the rest of Pavonistade too. You might be a tourist enjoying a sojourn. You might be an immigrant planning to settle in the country, or you might be someone else. Whether or not you plan to move elsewhere in Pavonistade, why not take some time to explore the city that is Vadopolis? Maybe you might find something that intrigues you before you move on to elsewhere.

It is six o' clock in the morning, and as the sun rises and brightens the orange sky, the white moon disappears behind the horizon. Many Pavonistadians wake up to see a new day ahead of them, and soon will the others that made a good choice to come to this country. How will these new people start off September the 1st?

Vadopolis, Pavonistade

Chris stumbled out of the huge doors that led out of the airport. He chuckled, while combing his shirt down--which had been wrinkled in a crowd of people. He lifted his head, and let his eyes glide along the reflection of the skyscrapers towering over him, in the near distance. He felt his heart skip a beat; he was finally here--in Pavonistade. He felt himself twitching with pure excitement. He began walking forward, staring at the people that surrounded him. Chris felt a pang of sadness damp his happiness--he had never seen a very large crowd. When he grew up, many people isolated themselves, hiding from the Toloupum Fever--the one that killed both of his pairs of parents. He shook head, trying to shake the horrible memory. He began walking forward, and he observed a very interesting thing. The people here looked very similar to the people at home. Then it clicked: Vekalse had been modeled after this country. He looked over, and saw a sign. He laughed to himself--the language was very different. Chris looked around, once again marveling at the pure beauty of the city. It was a shock to Chris, when he found out that he had been standing in the same place for an hour. He shook head, and moved forward. He gasped, when he spotted the beautiful rail system which expanded across the city. He found himself being drawn toward the stop. He stopped, an examined a sheet of paper. It was hung from a wall, and had many colorful lines stretching across the white sheet. He recognized the letters, and realized that these were the lines to the rails. He sighed, happily, and began walking again. He found himself stopping numerous times, and before he knew it, he had stumbled upon his hotel. He checked himself in, and fled to his room. 291, 291..., he repeated, inside his head. He found the room, and let out a yelp of success. He fumbled with the key in his hand, and then unlocked the door. When he stepped into the room, Chris fell to the floor. Tears began to fall from his face, and he let out a soft, far-away, sigh. His dream had come true.
You heard it here first. Kidding, you probably heard it from Lindenhole: I am literally insane. :P

6AM,
Vadopolis Harbour

MV Agustine Challenger

As ships go, the Augustine Challenger is probably as ugly as they come, big boxy with a small superstructure on the top for its space is designed to one thing, transport cars trucks and other vehicles bound for export, yet on here is one particular vehicle that is due to be arriving after spending 4 weeks at sea along with its owner, Adina Carlyle and her close frined Trisha Yarlet.

For Adina atleast, 6am is in fact a good time to arrive for it certainly beats some ferry crossings she has had in the past where the ship has berthed at the unsociable side of the clock that comes between 10pm and 6am, usually meaning a long drive through the night with many hours to sit behind the wheel however here in Adopolis the arrival is very much the opposite with the sun rising and just a short distance to drive to her new place located right on the sea front where the trams pass by with a depot just a short distance away and a pub just around the corner, after all the heart of a good community is a good pub!

As the doors of the Augustine Challenger open Trisha and Adina make their way to the waiting Terrastar which has just inches to play with in order to get out of the ship and so Adina takes the wheel for this part as Trisha guides Adina out though the crew who want a fast turn around will have to wait as Adina calmly takes her time getting the engine started and the truck moving as Trisha walks down the ramp carefully communicating to Adina by means of her own walkie talkie on the CB waveband so anyone who is on Channel 18 may well hear what they are doing though eventually the truck reaches the bottom of the ramp and the hard standing and so Adina gets the thumbs up of Trisha. Moments later Adina brings the truck to a halt by Trisha who climbs in.

Adina presses [RECORD.] on the camera and looks at it.
"Good morning, This may well be a new sight for me and Trisha, for we have been quiet these last few weeks and so to recall, we have been at sea, and now we are in a new nation, yes thats right no longer in the Confederacy but in a place called Pavonistade, is that right?..." she pauses for a moment, lifting an eyebrow up, "yes Pavonistade, hell I think thats what its called, and now we will be moving in and moving on. There will be a couple of days relaxing of sorts whilst I negotiate potential work as an owner operator but this may well be a new start, anyway i can't film much more so I will see you on the other side."

Adina presses the record button again to stop the recording and flicks the Terrastar into gear as Trisha takes her seat and slowly with the amber beacons flashing she navigates the port area, "Hopefully Trish the removals crew have put everything in already so all we have to do is make our way there and hopefully the drive will be wide enough to put this puppy" Trisha looks over towards Adina, "well with a drive eighteen by four meters along side it should fit, what will neighbours think?" asks Trish

"if they can't cope with a truck for a couple of days then its their problem and besides the road is a main road so screw them" replies Adina as she approaches the customs hut, as she does so she flashes the spotlights of the truck, all 14 of them, back home this would be somewhat Eye burning especially as the short autumn days will soon be over and a period of 24 hour winter darkness will be taking over "anyway Trisha lets get the documents out I think we may be getting intimate with doggus sniffus thanks to the guards over there" says Adina as she shoves the brakes on.

With the truck parked, the two women climb down holding their various documents, passport, visa, driving licences etc, they are also silhouetted against the spotlights of the truck as they walk up. All they need now is the sound track to 'The good, the bad the ugly' and a sombrero!, but they were now firmly on Pavonistadi soil though they had missed the Labour day party. Entering the hut Adina smiles, "Hey Y'all" she says, placing her documents on the counter and leaning there-on.

Of course, there were waves of people passing by, and this was the norm of Vadopolis. The people that were near Chris mostly moved on without caring about him much, but it was clear to the Pavonistadians that he was a tourist from elsewhere or someone from remote Pavonistade. Some glared back at Chris in return to his staring before they stepped away, but none of them meant to be hostile.

Interestingly somebody threw Chris a small bottle before disappearing into the crowd. It was labelled "TolouCure Container" and showed instructions on consuming it in the event Chris was struck with the notorious viral disease. This throwing case or whatnot was not rare. Many tourists were, without asking, given TolouCure medication.
Vekalse wrote:He looked over, and saw a sign. He laughed to himself--the language was very different.

This language that Chris saw was Pavon, one of the official languages of the country. It, like other signs out in the city, directed to various locations or identified the current point. In this case, the green sign expressed "Roife Smasgtani," the name of the street Chris was on. This street was named after the Smasgtani River, which crosses into Vadopolis and is one of the longest Pavonistadian rivers.
Vekalse wrote:Chris looked around, once again marveling at the pure beauty of the city. It was a shock to Chris, when he found out that he had been standing in the same place for an hour. He found himself stopping numerous times, and before he knew it, he had stumbled upon his hotel.

Vadopolis has an extensive and well-maintained metro system that Chris and many millions of Vadopolitans used. That detailed sheet paper was among the many maps of the system, obviously picturing the routes to other places of the city.

Chris had to pay for the ride, and, being a newcomer to the country, he simply used several Pavoid coins while most of the others paid with their cards that can be "recharged", i.e. money can be loaded to it for constant usage. He rode in a Grade of Automation 4 metro train, which was capable of sliding the doors open or closed, detecting obstacles, and handling emergencies without any staff checking on these situations. Such trains are considered by Pavonistadians to be normal in cities here. Some of them may contain staff that provide customer service, and this one did.

Chris's ride concluded at Nelson Point, which was not far from the grand hotel that he was to stay in. Upon taking a single step in from the revolving door, he would be able to tell it was very luxurious and glamorous.
Vekalse wrote:He checked himself in, and fled to his room. 291, 291..., he repeated, inside his head. He found the room, and let out a yelp of success. His dream had come true.

His room costed a little expensive, but overall it was really worth it.

The hotel room was lit by multiple chandelier-like fixtures with fluorescent lightbulbs and its wooden floor had brown patterns. The kitchen was adjacent to the dining room and living room, and in there was a small fridge that already contained several cans of food and bottles of water. In the kitchen cabinet stood pots, pans, and [stainless] cooking and eating utensils. A small table with several wooden chairs and a puny basket of fruits and vertsuaves constituted much of the dining room. There was a plasma television and radio in the living room, and Chris could sit on a loveseat sofa to watch the news or entertainment. In the bedroom, feather pillows and brown blankets laid on the full bed (a kind of a bed), and a recliner sofa and comfortable chair accompanied them. Finally, a wide window with a brown-beige curtain allowed for a magnificent view of Vadopolis.

The Agustine Challenger landed in what is known as the Large Transport Hub, or Ioube Tenerhapt Leige in the Pavon language. It was used for transporting many variants of vehicles, from typical cars to large trucks. For such ships, their Pavonistadian variants tend to arrive later (not frequently as early as 0600 hours) in favor of cargo ships, cruise ships, and others.

There are quite a bit of Pavonistadians that are distasteful of large trucks, and Auroran Diamond Star vehicles are a no-brainer part of that category. These Pavonistadians understand the importance of trucks, but they also often associate them (especially those of foreign origins or driven by foreigners) with suspicious activity. Trisha, if she knew about Pavonistadians, might want to be aware that piercings and hair-bleaching, while legal, are frowned upon (but are generally ignored).
Aurora Confederacy wrote:...Trisha walks down the ramp carefully communicating to Adina by means of her own walkie talkie on the CB waveband so anyone who is on Channel 18 may well hear what they are doing...

Barely any Pavonistadians were on that specific channel, so Adina and Trisha should not expect too much people here to listen. Some people from the Aurora Confederacy, if there are any, might happen to listen.
Aurora Confederacy wrote:"Well with a drive eighteen by four meters along side it should fit, what will neighbours think?" asks Trisha

"if they can't cope with a truck for a couple of days then its their problem and besides the road is a main road so screw them" replies Adina as she approaches the customs...

Trucks are acceptable like piercings, but if there are any people annoyed by the trucks, they would form and respond as a fair-sized group. Luckily for Trish and Adina (and other drivers), they won't meet such an opposition extremely soon as they tend not to frequently form.
Aurora Confederacy wrote:especially as the short autumn days will soon be over and a period of 24 hour winter darkness will be taking over

Trisha, Adina, and the crew would not need to assume that would be the case in Pavonistade, as it is mostly subtropical, tropical, arid, and desert (that case applies to higher altitudes and mountains, though). Vadopolis has a warm coastal or oceanic climate, and throughout winter there would be decent temperatures with several cloudy and rainy days.

Adina might call it a hut, but Pavonistadians would simply use "customs" to describe that customs building. It was small for a building of its type, but it is sanctioned by the Vadopolitan government. Aside from the counter, the immigration officer, and guards, the customs had some posters and free-to-take booklets regarding Pavonistade, Pavonistadian tourism, and citizenship.

This customs was boring and plain, but one needs to pass through it if he/she came from the harbor and is to legally enter Vadopolis. As a line formed behind Trisha and Adina, the immigration officer slowly inspected the details of the documents. It was wise for them to carry a visa, as anyone from countries without embassies and good diplomatic relations with Pavonistade - or those that are not in much contact with Pavonistade - are required to bring a visa.

The immigration officer posed the first question, "What is the purpose of your arrival?"

September 1
Vadopolis, Pavonistade

It was morning. A few days ago, the D'Aquino family had arrived by air from Bethlehem: they took a domestic flight from Jasper to Bethlehem, then an international flight to Vadopolis. They had visited the main sights of the city, and they were slowly preparing to leave the city to move to their home region: Toloupum Sector, in particular Irvestre.

Protasio wanted to bring his family: mainly his parents back to their hometown, Irvestre, before they die. They're not close to death, but they always stated their wish to return home to Pavonistade. Protasio and his parents left in 1983, before Pavonistade became independent because of a job opportunity: they have visited Pavonistade at least once every couple years since. But this time, they're returning home for good.

Thus, after the alarm went off, Protasio woke up, and saw his wife, Tatiana make pancakes. He says, "Good morning, madam. How are you?"
She replies, "I'm doing quite well. These pancakes will be ready in a few minutes."
"Grazie!" he says in his native Lombardian.
"No problem," Tatiana replies back in English.

He then heads to the room where the stepchildren and Silvana were sleeping. "WAKEY, WAKEY!" he says.

"Papà!" Silvana says in her childish voice as she runs towards her father.
"Silvana," Protasio replies as he hugs her. "Vuoi frittelle?"
"Yes!" she says.
"Bene, Silvana, let's get ready then," Protasio replies.

After dressing and taking Silvana to the table, the stepchildren got dressed and headed to the table.

Liam whined, "Dad, why did we have to leave Luziyca and move here?"
Protasio sighed. "Son, because your biological father was abusive. It was either him, or Pavonistade. And it is the best option: when you turn 18, and you manage to support yourself, you can go back if you wish. But until then, Irvestre will be your home."

Dorothy then said, "Morning, daddy," and kissed Protasio.
"Morning, Dorothy." Soon, the pancakes were ready, and they served them. After the Lord's Prayer, they ate. Once that was done, it was time to begin packing.

"Children, we'll be heading to Irvestre soon. Thus, we'll be leaving here to head to Irvestre. When we get there, you will be living in your new home," Protasio said. "Now, get moving!"

The process of packing unfolded, and by around 11 am, they were ready. Just one more sight in Vadopolis to see: the Vadopolis Children's Museum, then they'll be leaving the city (after a late lunch), by train.

Chapter I: Unexpected Happenings

After months and months of traversing rough seas, hopelessness, and struggle in order to survive, Bonnibel sighted the bright, illuminating lights; the tall, huge buildings that she didn't used to see at home; and the noise of the vehicle traffic which she can heard from a distance. At last, this was a sign of hope for her, since after years of opression and terror in her "motherland", her mind and soul finally became free.

Thirty minutes later, the makeshift refugee ship managed to reach the bustling port of the city of Vadopolis but suddenly, the crew sighted a fleet of Hamilton class-cruisers from the Coast Guard. The refugees thought that this was a sign of danger and they will be deported again, but all hope was lost since the ship suddenly crashed into a large stone wall, which almost broke the ship into half. She fainted. She didn't expected what will happen to her.

Hours later, in the city hospital, she suddenly woke up on a hospital bed, unconscious of what is happening to her. She saw all of the other people with her who was in the ship, and they were treated properly, well-fed, and they were given proper care and medication. Suddenly, a nurse showed up, checking her status.

"Where am I? What happened?" Bonnie squealed in surprised.
"Calm down, dear, you're inside a hospital." The nurse said to calm her down.
"Here, eat your breakfast"
The nurse gave her breakfast, complete with the finest eggs that the Pavonistadians has to offer and the best bacon and milk from well tamed cattle in the Central region.

She managed to have a taste of Pavonistadian cuisine and hospitality, but her future is still unexpected.

The Vadopolis Children's Museum, in general, is a wonder to, about, and for children (and for parents). First, for parents, the museum exhibits about mental and physical development from birth to adulthood. They are given explicit explanations, from a guide's help to descriptive diagrams, on how to best raise a child and deal with situations that might concern him or her. This parental part of the museum also provides what Pavonistadians know as the science of children - the newest ideas, theories, and discoveries about anything related to children (e.g. how their behavior is influenced) is discussed.

For children, they have access to various activities and parts that are intended just for them. The most prominent parts are the Creative Side, Animal Side, and the Space Side. In the Creative Side, they could build many structures from many materials, such as clay and sticks. For older visiters, they are given the ability to design something more complex, such as a primitive movie or computer game. To the Animal Side, children are able to learn about various animals, from what they do (e.g. how they survive) to how they fare in the wild (i.e. are they endangered?). Finally, the Space Side features a lot that are related to whatever lies or comes from beyond Earth. Children can simulate a meteor impact, develop planets, and find ways to make life rise.

The Vadopolis Children's Museum is indeed not free. Unless you are a new Pavonistadian citizen, in which you are given a Cultural Pass allowing for one year free access to any exhibitions and cultural sites in Pavonistade, you will have to pay $20 (or 10.47 Pavoid) to enter the museum. Pavonistadians consider it a fair price for what it offers (any TolouCure Containers handed out appeared to be free).

The Hamilton-class cruisers were actually the Pavonistadian Seacrosser-class cruisers, which looked quite similar to each other. The Seacrossers were faster and were more fuel-efficient due to less weight and construction out of lighter (but sturdy) alloys. The Coast Guard were part of the Pavonistadian Navy Brigade, the part of the Pavonistadian Military (or armed forces) responsible for naval activities.

The cruisers were just so about to approach the crew. However, Bonnie and the others had crashed onto a wall and they were knocked unconscious (not all became so in the same time). Seeing that the crew were in serious danger, the fleet shoved back the plan of apprehension and brought the shipwrecked crews to safety. They were shortly transported to a well-known hospital in Vadopolis, and they are on their way to recovery.
Bonnermann Empire wrote:Hours later, in the city hospital, she suddenly woke up on a hospital bed, unconscious of what is happening to her. Bonnie was brought to the Vadopolitan General Hospital, arguably the best hospital that the city has to offer. There, the medical staff are really committed to ensuring the recovery of all patients. That means patients like Bonnie are provided with adequate care, food, and water. The equipment in the General Hospital are simply advanced and are inspected for any arisen errors and issues. Beds and areas susceptible to contamination would be vigorously sanitized and cleaned. However, this was thought of as the norm in a country in Pavonistade. It isn't that special to Pavonistadians.
Bonnermann Empire wrote:Suddenly, a nurse showed up, checking her status.

This nurse was named Janaete Olifiana, who had worked in the hospital for more than a decade. She is known for working well with others and for being brave and courageous. Olifiana doesn't have the tendency to shriek or be terrified of injuries, although she had just that habit in her early life.
Bonnermann Empire wrote:The nurse gave her breakfast, complete with the finest eggs that the Pavonistadians has to offer and the best bacon and milk from well tamed cattle in the Central region.

The truth was that the best bacon and milk came from Western Pavonistade, but Central regions do have simiar-quality cattle products. It doesn't matter here as Bonnie and the others enjoyed her breakfast.
Bonnermann Empire wrote:She managed to have a taste of Pavonistadian cuisine and hospitality, but her future is still unexpected.

The good news for Bonnie is that she was definitely going to recover. The bad news is that healthcare in Vadopolis and North Pavonistade (including three other states) is privatized. Unless Bonnie and the others can prove they truly cannot pay for the costs, they are responsible for paying for the healthcare. As well, considering how they arrived into Vadopolis, everyone on the ship - including Bonnie - are subject to police investigation and interrogation. There are police officers already stationed in the General Hospital, prepared to interrogate the crew whenever they're ready.

Vadopolis
After the family got to the museum, Protasio D'Aquino paid the entrance fee for a family of seven, in case if he and his parents didn't count as Pavon citizens: he knew the rest of family didn't. While most of the adults visited the parental side, Tatiana and Protasio visited both sides. Silvana loved the Space side and the Creative side, while Dorothy loved the Space section. Liam didn't care: he was a bit homesick for Luziyca.

For a few hours, they enjoyed it, but it was soon time to head to the restaurant to get a quick meal before heading on the train to Irvestre, where they will be living from hereon out.

The D'Aquino family went to Vadopolis's Upkeep Restaurant, which is always busy in the hours that it is open. This restaurant was not far from the Children Museum, so the family was fortunate. When they stepped onto the decorated tile floor, a waitress greeted them and directed them to one of the only empty tables in Upkeep. She gave them medium-sized menus before she went into the kitchen.

The table, like others in the restaurant, was covered with a white cloth, but it was sizeable and fits larger families like the D'Aquino[e]s. Jazz was often played, with sporadic broadcasting of Pavon popular and country music. It was partially inhibited by talking, dining noises, and other sounds from all corners of the restaurant.

Since the D'Aquino[e]s sought for anything quick, below are examples that they might want to try out (taxes are added after ordering):

  • Vertsuave Salad - Ingredients: vertsuave, lettuce, kiwi, mangosteen, strawberry, passion fruit, starfruit, lychee, fruit syrup - costs $5.00
  • Vertsuave Milkshake - Milk, ice, vertsuave, avocado - $4.00
  • Coastal Skewer (1 plate contains 5 skewers) - Squid, salmon, cod, mackerel, halibut, clam, seaweed, barbecue sauce - $6.75
  • Central Stew (in small bowl) - Water, beef (or lamb) lettuce, green/yellow/red pepper, carrot, broccoli, Brussels sprout - $7.00
  • Uechi Plate of Beef - Tenderloin steak, beef, fries, tomato, corn, barbecue sauce - $9.00

The D'Aquinos all settled on a coastal skewer, Uechi plate of beef, and a Central Stew. After they requested the food items, they then waited: they would have about a couple hours to eat, and within 15 minutes (maybe less), the food would arrive. The D'Aquinos thanked the servers, and started to eat their lunch.

(continued)

(slurp) "Mmm... This meal tastes delicious!" Bonnie said in excitement.
"Can't wait for desert!" Bonnie added.
(Bonnie hiccups)
"Take it easy... Oh yeah, I forgot to introduce myself." the mysterious nurse said.
"Word em' up!" Bonnie said.
"My name is Janaete Olifiana, or everyone just calls me Jana the Janitor, since I was a janitor when I was your age. I am one of the veteran nurses here in the Downtown Vadopolis Hospital. By the way, I am very experienced in curing a wide range of ailments, diseases, burns, etc. etc. And I am also one of the topnochers of the nursing board exam."
"Wow, fascinating." Bonnibel gaped on her because of her skills.
"Yes, just onward and upward." Jana replied.
"By the way, I'm Bonnibel... And... I'm not quite you're type. But I am an expert in physics, I know all of the elements in the periodic table, In short, I'm a science addict." Bonnibel explained nervously.
"Wow, Bonnibel, looks like you've got a high potential for joining the nuclear fusion project our nation has initiated years ago..." Jana said.

Their chat took longer than usual. Half an hour later, mysterious men in black, suddenly appeared outside the room. Bonnibel is not suspicious who are they. And what are their motives.

"Who are they?" Bonnie said in shock.
"There are MOI agents! I-I have to go!" Jana said.

"MINISTRY OF INTELLIGENCE! LET US PASS OR WE WILL USE FORCE! " One of the agents while trying to demand entry.

Suddenly, the mysterious men bashed into the room.
They were a squad of agents from the Ministry of Intelligence who were led by Senior Inspector Mirachi Morte. The inspector suddenly went towards her bed and her nurse.

"Hello, Good morning." The inspector greeted them.
"Good Morning." They both replied.
"You are healthy today, yes?" The inspector said with a firm voice.
"Yes...?" The inspector clarified.
"Umm... Yeah! kind of." The two replied anxiously.
"Very well. I've some questions for you." he said.
"Umm... Me? my god!" the nurse said in panic.
"Not you, old woman, her. The young lady." the inspector said in anger.
"You look beautiful. Come with me to the office. We have some questions for you." The inspector instructed.

Mirachi took her and the other surviving refugees from the boat into a police van, and when she was in it, she saw the beauty of the city. The noise of the vehicles, the tall, wide, and big buildings, the wide highways and the people in joy, which she never experienced on her homeland." When they arrived late afternoon, she was amazed by the tall statues that surround the Regional Intelligence Building.

Customs office
Vadopolis Harbour

When asked what is the purpose of their arrival, Adina, holding the travel documents including passport, immigration visa, green card and anything else that was needed , leant forwards "We're here from the Mercantile Federal republic of the Aurora Confederacy to emmigrate to Pavonistade to begin work as green card workers under the green card scheme. Its a bit odd coming in on the route we have but I didn't want the truck to be left unattended, we are also travelling together for this purpose" Adina then looks at Adina and picks up Trisha's set of identical documents before turning to the Customs official

"These are Trisha's documents" she says handing them across, this also included a blue badge application, however Trisha has yet to fill that out, she also has no intention of doing so despite having artificial legs. Adina then has a third set of documents pertaining to what is in the trailer, her car, a 2006 sports coupe that has been modified.

Trisha whilst all this was going on leant calmly on the counter to offer any questions that may come her way, as she waited she picked up a couple of leaflets and began to skim through them, still listening to the guards and the questions towards Adina.
"Once we're in and at the new home, I fancy having a look around the city get to know where things are" says Trisha as Adina filled out a couple of forms
"this city will take all of our countries population and still have room to spare" says Adina as she continues to read carefully the form and fill it in, "and once we're in the first port of call will be the house to unload the car, Ramps are in the back as well so it will just roll out, then to screw the fenders back on, after that we'll have a look around town and drum up business, contact a local news paper etc, that sort of thing then go to a restaurant"

Vadopolis Harbour

It was early in the morning of September 1st when Yuri arrived from the previous huge Estenian capital of Rannin of Estenia to Pavonistian Giant city of Vadopolis, where he signed a contract for the big, local soccer team called Vadopolis Firestrikes, the only thing he had to do right now, was to come in the press conference and give his first ever interview with his new club, he is very excited and he hopes that he will do a lot of stuff in the team. When the ship stopped the captain was saying again and again

"We arrived at Vadopolis harbour, we arrived at the Vadopolis harbour."

then Yuri put his clothes and other personal stuff to his car, a nice red VLT L6 and he drove to his home, while being in the start, he was in a small highway crossing the port, because his house was near,he was going with 45 kilometres per hour to arive in around 15-20 minutes and check Vadopolitan coastline, harbour and nearby shops, cafes and the people of the area along with the huge skyscrapers and high rise apartments. After around 17-18 minutes he arrives at his apartment, which is already furnished with a TV, a kitchen and everything needed, the only things he had to do was to put his clothes at the closet and put his historical soccer balls, at the collection room he saved for his collection. After finishing all his work the time had already reached 10:45 in the morning and the sun was shining, in around 1 hour and 15 minutes he had to go to the team's training ground where the press conference would take place.

So he decided to go on a walk to his neighbourhood and who knows, maybe meet a person to hang out there. When he was walking he suddenly catched up a person in a cafe, he was talking about football and about that new signing that was gonna take place, the person must have heard a lot of him and he asked

"Are you talking about me my good sir? I am the person that scored the 2 goals while playing on Rannin FC and that signed to Vadopolis Firestrikes for a better, brighter future. In an hour the press conference is going to take place, will you come?"

after asking that scratched his nose a bit and silently waited for a response. He knew that it was going to be a positive answer. But will his predictions come true?

Over in the warm central stew, it had noticeable pieces of vegetables and meat. While children may not like the looks, it is in fact mouthwatering like the other ordered dishes.

Bonnibel and the Bonnermannians (it rhymes? :P)
Bonnermann Empire wrote:"By the way, I'm Bonnibel...

Pavonistade does have a nuclear fusion project, although new recruits are rare. For Bonnibel to be able to join this project, she would need to present a valid tertiary-education certificate - i.e. from a college or university - and pass a large examination regarding nuclear physics and related subjects. Other than that, the prerequisites and requisites for enrolling in the project is not that well-known in the public.

Bonnermann Empire wrote:Mirachi took her and the other surviving refugees from the boat into a police van, and when she was in it, she saw the beauty of the city. When they arrived late afternoon, she was amazed by the tall statues that surround the Regional Intelligence Building.

This intelligence building was called the Vadopolitan Department for Municipal Public Safety. As its name suggested, it was responsible for ensuring that the populace of the city is safe and secure, and it was also tasked with addressing suspicious activities. Bonnie and her crew's shipwrecking qualified as that. The tall statues were modelled after Fred Matteryork (page on him under revamping), the first President of the former First Pavonistadian Republic and the former Pavonistadian Dominion.

Mirachi's real name was Alexei Strasnov, although the Bonnermannians can call him by his nickname. He brought them to an interrogation room, which contained one large table, several seats, four guards (one for each corner), and a Pavonistadian flag. There was also a large window so other officers and guards can examine and hear the interrogation. The door was locked from the outside before Inspector Strasnov began to interrogate the Bonnermannians. He asked them various questions, from their origins to their shipwrecking, and told about how they might carry responsibilities for paying the healthcare costs as well as risks of deportation.

Trisha and Adina

Its a bit odd coming in on the route we have but I didn't want the truck to be left unattended, we are also travelling together for this purpose" Adina then looks at Adina and picks up Trisha's set of identical documents before turning to the Customs official.

The immigration officer scrutinized the green card, which passed as valid under his apt examination. Now he wouldn't have to ask, "What is the duration of your stay," as the answer was conveniently covered in that response.
Aurora Confederacy wrote:"These are Trisha's documents" she says handing them across, this also included a blue badge application, however Trisha has yet to fill that out, she also has no intention of doing so despite having artificial legs. Adina then has a third set of documents pertaining to what is in the trailer, her car, a 2006 sports coupe that has been modified.

The officer proceeded to check the trailer document. Even though there are documents stating the contents in the trailer, it was standard procedure to have it validated. "Under normal processes, all trailers and caroges are to be inspected in order to confirm the details of such a document." He used a nearby telephone and communicated with a nearby probing division in Pavon, saying, "Lekaeligne difisei poilbe lorhept Hapt-8 tea nespeste taleur." This translates to "Requesting probe division near Port-8 [code for the port that Trisha/Adina entered] to inspect trailer."

He moved and checked the blue badge application. Seeing as it is left incomplete, he inquired Trisha, "I need an explanation for the incompleteness of this application." Trisha's prosthetic leg would not allow exemption of her from this process and any possible rejections.
Aurora Confederacy wrote:after that we'll have a look around town and drum up business, contact a local news paper etc, that sort of thing then go to a restaurant"

Both are able to pick up a destinations booklet nearby in the customs. Inside the booklet contained locations and contacts of local news sources, restaurants, and other popular sites of Vadopolis. It was particularly useful for immigrants and tourists alike, or for a rural Pavonistadian.

The woman had dirty-blonde hair and brown eyes, and was wearing high heels and a light-red semiformal dress. She was holding a large leather purse and was in a hurry to get to her place.

"All you have to do," the woman kindly but hastily replied, "is to go straight forward. You'll get to Caviar Street, where you can find the local TropiBean Cafe and where it's close to a shallow beach. I have to go, no time to waste..." she sped off to wherever her destination is.

They quickly would eat the food, scarfing their meals in under an hour. Now, the family would get into their rental car, and get to the train station. They hoped they can get there on time...

Luckily for the D'Aquinos, they arrived at the train station in time. It was a bit far away from the restaurant, but luck was on their side and they had just over ten minutes to spare. The train that they are taking is labelled Grade of Automation 1. In other words, it is not automated as a driver is on board and holds responsible for manually operating it. Door opening and closing are some of the performances that the driver was tasked with. It was not a very modern train, but it was the most modern that would reach a small place like Irvestre.

The D'Aquinos sat on nearby benches and patiently waited for ten minutes. Then there came the train to Irvestre, colored red and sporadically posted with Pavon-English advertisements, and the doors opened for the crowd to leave and enter. The D'Aquinos paid for a ride with Pavoid coins and stepped onto the basic train. Since not that many people travel to Irvestre or small towns, there were numerous chairs for all family members to sit on. The doors closed after a short while, and momentum was gained in the train's passage towards its destination.

It is expected that it would arrive in Irvestre around 09:30 pm to 10:00 pm. By then the sky would be dark blue and the moon is partially visible. The train had customer service, washrooms, and air conditioning, so the D'Aquinos can stay comfortable in their trip.

The D'Aquinos had all their stuff with them. Their suitcases containing a variety of stuff. Thus, as the day passed, the city of Vadopolis slowly disappeared from view, and open fields came, with the occasional city or town. It seemed quite beautiful, and while Liam was anxious, Silvana played with Dorothy, while Protasio and his parents discussed their memories back in Ivestre. It was almost as if time was flying quickly...

As the day got darker, they knew that they would get a bit hungry for supper. Yet, they knew that their home town was majority-Lombardian in speech (as far as they knew: the family spoke mainly Lombardian, and so did many of the residents). Protasio, Tatiana, and Protasio's parents knew the route well: they've gone up and down this way for years.
