I disagree, Lyonsland won on his second edition and I came forth last time round, which was my debut. I think the more experienced get more points because they are just that, experienced - they know what gets points, they will have more experience when it comes to lyrics and will have more practise when it comes to writing the performance (which is what I personally find most difficult).

As someone who's in charge of that puppet of mine named TUE, I'll clarify this.

TUE shouldn't even be receiving votes.......The entry was incomplete. TUE's not disqualified at all though.

I've RP'd with TUE like for 5 editions of WV, all with WV Committee......TUE never got disqualified and while its entries were certainly more bizarre than the rest, it hasn't done anything like plagiarism to warranty disqualification.

Sorry to use Polkopia as an example but this is one person who does quite well, generally. Also another characteristic is host sympathy. I get that it is hard to write lyrics and the performance. I came penultimate in my debutant act. But I have gotten better...I guess.

An unfinished entry does not warrant disqualification. My entry in WV23 was never completed, but it achieved a decent placing. Perhaps the issue was that my entry was still considered a placeholder (even though there were lyrics and RP under the spoiler) when the voting was about to start.

Being unable to/just leaving an entry unfinished for whatever the reason does NOT guarantee disqualification. I remember myself being unable to finish the Evilean entry for WV28, yet it did not receive an automatic disqualification in any way.

As far as I can tell from this thread, "disqualification" for the unfinished entries means that they cannot vote or be voted for in this edition, but can enter next edition.

Usually here the word is reserved for those who broke some rule or had a completed legal entry but simply did not vote.

Sorry for the long wait, everyone! Anyway, the Committee has decided to disqualify Kalosia's entry. Therefore, anyone who had awarded Kalosia points will have to edit their votes.

I sense I've cause confusion. Above is what I was talking about. People were unsure whether we were awarding points to Kalosia or not because it was unfinished so the Committee decided to 'disqualify' it.

Alternatively we could all just finish our entries next time. So TUE's points are being removed according to Québec, and the spreadsheet says that the winner will, save for a 10 or a 12 from the last few countries, the winner will do well to even get into triple figures.
