The Frozen Sea Alliance (Invite Only)

The Frozen Sea Alliance
Image

In the icy seas, chilly coastlines, frozen tundras and wintry mountains of Wintreath, an alliance was forged. Its goal is to protect shipping and international interests through mutual training and joint patrols. The alliance has slowly expanded outward, now expanding to a joint base located within the United Regions. Currently, an alpine camp has been set up in the southern hills of Vangaziland.

Another important aspect is trade. This is one reason why protecting shipping is one of the primary focuses of the alliance. All matter of goods flow freely from country to country. Merchants can feel protected deep in international waters, knowing the FSA is not far behind.

Cenerian Military Exports
The below list is composed of the military assets that the Cenrian Government is presently exporting to foreign nations. Other private offers may be made. The below assets are available only within the Frozen Sea Alliance. Exceptions, however, are considered.
Image
Magnuson-class Light Cruiser
Powerplant: 2 Vyctor III Nuclear Fission reactors
Armament: Phoenix anti-missile system, 2 Spectre light guns, Flak screen deployment batteries. Main defense system is a Sciath IV Missile-defense and alert system.
Current price per unit: 2.56 billion.

Image
C-72B Condor transport aircraft
Armament: None on the standard version. Specialty "Gryffin" models can be ordered that are made for attack. Please inquire for details.
Uses: Transport aircraft for a number of military/domestic cargoes. Have been used to airdrop supplies and, on occasion, special forces troops.
Current price: 1.2 million per, but we sell them in bulk for 1 million each.

Image
FAR-31 Advanced Ground-attack aircraft
Note: These aircraft are the most powerful and most versatile ground-attack aircraft deployed today.
Armament: Variable depending on mission. These fighters are compatible with nearly all weapons rack systems, and will thus carry nearly all missiles, bombs, jamming pods, etc. under wing. Built-in weapons systems include a forward-facing Casúr rotary cannon for destroying land targets and integrated flak- and chaff-deployment units.
Current price: .8 million each.

Image
Raidhfil II Armored Mobile Artillery System (AMAS)
The Raidhfil II AMAS consists of a large all-terrain alpine articulated hauler body and a 155mm/L52 howitzer gun. Targeting is fully automated. This is the main gun system used by the Cenerian military.
Current price: 500,000 each

Other military hardware may become available for sale in time. This bulletin will be updated to reflect policy and price changes.

So I am thinking of hosting a wargame, featuring a live fire exercise with my nation and its allies. Currently its open to IFA and any other nations that would like to establish relations militarily. The way live fire exercises work is all nations participating are on the same side. There are dummy targets set up of all types; vehicles, infantry. The map is above obviously. I'll give a brief explanation of it.

The cross is an airfield. It needs to be captured and could possibly be used to land reinforcements. Notice the lighter grey squares off the runways. Those are important buildings which must be cleared and captured as well.

Before doing anything, we should probably neutralize the red circles. Those are areas of known enemy air defenses. Before helicopter and aircraft can fly in low, we must neutralize those. Our nation has an expansive riverine force and they will probably come in handy.

The blue circles represent infantry camps. The Northeasterly one has two buildings of interest defined on the map. Consider one a radio tower and the other another control station. The larger camp to the Southwest is a barracks area, with command & control buildings and other high priority targets.

The brown lines are obviously dirt roads. Notice the docks jutting out into the bay. Those can be secondary targets.

Ceneria would certainly love to take part in the live-fire exercise. We will be using the following assets, although more can be brought in on short notice.

Two cruisers are presently near the coast of Vangaziland, and will represent the Cenerian Navy. A squadron of attack fighters are ready for deployment at Fort Nevian, Ceneria, and they will fly to Vangaliand in the next two days. We have a detachment of SpecOps troops in the United Regions for peacekeepng operations, and they will be flown to Vangaziland to participate. Other assets may become available within the next week.

Signed,
General Martin Helms, Commander, Cenerian Army

Mirevia would love to take part in the exercise. We will be using the following assets in this exercise, although more can be sent.

We will send three crusiers and one battleship to the coast. As I am writing this, one of my best air superiority fighters are prepped and ready to take flight to Vangaziland. We will also send two battalions of Mirevian Assault Teams.

The way I see the exercise starting is we land spec ops teams near each of the enemy Air Defense Artillery. Vannish Riverine boats as well as Marine Landing ships will be available for the exercise.

There are several ways they can be taken out. They can lase in airstrikes. Using a laser designator, a forward observer can guide the aircraft's bomb to the target while the aircraft itself remains far away. They could also call for a naval gunfire mission. This method is less precise and would probably not be advisable for targets near the airfield, since we would ideally like to preserve the runways. The third and most risky method is for a spec ops team to sneak in and apply C4 directly to the ADA piece. It probably would only make sense to use this method on very specific types of ADA pieces and therefore is not really recommended.

After the ADA pieces are taken out, we can bring in the second wave. That can consist of airborne soldiers to Marine amphibious MOWAG Piranhas. Thinking about it now, there is one area where the Marines will probably make a landing and take out the enemy ADA directly with an Anti-Tank variant of the Piranha. That force can land somewhere near a road and quickly move to take one of the infantry camps.

Thoughts so far?

-General Olf Clossen

Vannish Assets
2 Airborne Marine Companies
1 Marine Battalion split on 4 Amphibious landing ships, complete with Amphibious MOWAG Piranha APCs
2 Spec Ops Teams from VSF1
6 Riverine/Patrol Boats

Cenerian FAR-31 fighter-bombers are equipped to carry laser-guided munitions, and can quickly be configured for an anti-air denial role. Our transport aircraft can also drop SpecOps troops from as high as thirty thousand feet. We would be glad to drop other nations' special forces with our own.

We can get VSF1 or Marine observers on the ground at each of the ADA points if neccessary. Or some of them can be observed for either of your nation's teams if you request.

Lets move from West to East, starting at the westernmost ADA point by the dirt road, lets call that point 1. Point 2 is by the airfield. Point 3 is by the docks. Point 4 is by itself and is the easternmost.

The aircraft will hold at an Initial Point they'll establish a few kilometers out at around 30,000 ft. The teams can laze targets.. Everyone let me know which ADA points you want to have observers on..

And maybe about where you want to land. They'll move under cover of darkness and terrain until they get to some high ground or get a good view.

Addition: We just heard from Mirevian forces that they will take the East side of operations.

Wave two will be responsible for the airfield, infantry camps and docks...

I'm thinking of a joint Mirevian - Cenerian parajump to capture the airfield after my SF teams neutralize the ADA. And having my marines land their APCs at the point 1 and move up to the infantry camp to seize it.

We will take the East Side,as Vangaziland takes the west side,to strike the Southern Infantry Camp from both thier western and eastern flanks. We will be sending one Assault Team with Ceneria's Special Forces. Our Air Superiority Jets will focus on The Enemy's Air Defense Systems and If The Air Base is not taken by that time,My forces will merge and give full attention to the Airfield's southern flank and the Infantry Camp to the east. Additionally,I will send another squadron of Air Superiority Jets for support purposes for the airfield. Our main priority will be striking the Docks on the eastern side of the island and destroying the Air Defenses. Mirevian Naval Forces,in the mean time will land forces on the beach and proceed to bombard the area.

So to reiterate, to make things clear. The first thing that will happen is we will neutralize each SAM site. Almost at the same time. The first wave will be the Cenerian aircraft on the two western targets. At the same time a Mirevian forward air controller will observe for a naval bombardment mission on point 4.

We need to get observers with eyes on the docks to laze or observe for a naval air strike. That could be a little tricky. It could also be observed by the air controller. edit: It will be an airborne observer calling in naval gunfire, using the sensor pod to locate the ADA from afar.

After the initial run on the airfield by guided Cenerian bombs, and only after ALL 4 points are neutralized, THEN the Mirevian Air Superiority fighters will come into their points. They will fly ABOVE the cargo jets landing troops..

I propose two drops... A Joint Cenerian-Mirevian Force at the airfield, and a Joint Vannish-Cenerian (or just Vannish) jump at the eastern infantry camp.

An amphibious landing will occur at point 1. There, the amphibious MOWAG Piranha's will take the beach, hit the road and drive to the main infantry camp. At this time, the jumps will be landed and taking their points and the Mirevians will be taking the docks.

There are a lot of forces in a tiny ten mile island... I'm just making sure everything is streamlined.

Very close. In key 1, purple would be observers on the ground. The Mirevians are using airborne observers to find and observe targets for Naval artillery. Vannish Special Forces will observe and laze targets for the Cenerian air strikes on the west.

In key 2, the location for the Vannish-Cenerian jump is the second infantry camp to the north east. The amphibious landing forces will drive up the road clearing targets and will invade the infantry camp.

The map updates were a good way to cross check that we are on the same page.

The United Regions would love to take part in this live fire exercise. We would like to drop troops in to the northern blue circle [that is an allied camp right?]. We will place a total of 750 Land Forces troop plus a 12 man team of Elite Special Forces to operate as both a command and control post as well as a RRF if any allied forces are needed throughout the island.

We would be proud to welcome the United Regions into this exercise. (It's just blue for infantry.. It's an enemy camp.) In that case, I will pull out my forces that would jump and it can be a Cenerian - United Regions jump. My forces can come back and train any day. After your forces secure that camp, they can move down to help clear the docks.

So then the Mirevians can clear the docks from South to North and you will both meet at the Northern docks..

Does that suit your plans?

General Clossen,
I am truly sorry I did not realize you were doing a joint jump with Cenerian in this area I thought this was a vacant jump space. This is your training exercise so we would like to withdraw our troops and allow you access.

Prime Minister David Bell,

Nonsense! The VAF has more than enough areas of responsibility anyways. We can always come back to our base anytime. We look forward to working with your forces. Please, by all means feel free to join in. We are already taking the larger camp with a battalion of our own Marines. You would help us greatly. Thank you for your interest.

Are you sure? I do not by any means take your place.
But if you already have troops then we will continue with our original troops landing in the camp, where they will secure it, then move to help clear the docks. As you suggested.

Prime Minister Bell,

It will be an honor and a privilege to work with you and your forces. As mentioned, you will be helping us out immensely. We will clear every building in the Southwestern infantry camp and set it up as a rendezvous point for once everything is completed. There, our leaders can meet and conduct an after action review and discuss what went well and what could be improved.

Cenrian troops are prepared for the live-fire exercise.

An additional note:

A platoon of Panther III Main Battle Tanks has just been shipped in to take part in the exercise. They will be joining the Vannish forces in the amphibious assault, and will be landed using a Tidewater-class Amphibious Assault Ship. We eagerly await the response of the other participants regarding preparedness.

Cordially,
