There has been a lot of talk of war going on between AOAN and IAB/BAI. And let me tell you, we have fooled around with these idiots more than enough. It is time to just turn the other cheek or kick their butts to the curb. I can't tell you how many times we have fought with someone, and I didn't care. That is because I simply think once we fight with them once, we shouldn't have to even deal with them again.

Any ways, the reunion was a complete flop. For all I know, one song was played, and maybe 1 person heard it. I don't know, but what I do know it was a waste of our time, since IAB/BAI has always been our enemy, so letting them have a reunion in my opinion was sort of, well, odd.

In recent news, it has been learned that our government here in Ism has decided to use "tech-savvy"
teenagers to gain information as opposed to actual intelligence officers. Well that's a brilliant idea. I mean, what group of people are more focused on their work than teenagers? And what group is less prone to peer pressure than teenagers? Seriously, what was The Conclave thinking? Nothing! Our politicians have failed to properly acquire important information, and failed our country as a whole. But what else is new?

Regional News
Breaking news in the Alliance of Armed Nations! We no longer have a Senate! Yes the days of hoping the lazy Senators would actually do their jobs is gone. So, what did we replace it with? We go to our Senior Political Analyst Kul Rulig for more.
"Thanks Miles. Yes we replaced our inefficient senate that rarely voted with wonderful referendum, bringing power to the people. So who makes up the bulk of the voting populace? The former Senators!"
"Wait a minute, Kul are you saying that we replaced the Senate where there were never enough people voting with the same people, but now their are more of them?"
"You heard right Miles, it's a real screw up. But don't worry, we already have six votes on the recent amendment to the Constitution: more than we ever had in the Senate."
"That's great news, so six votes for the bill, we must be pretty close to watching the first bill of legislation passed in the region for a couple of weeks then right?"
"No no no Miles, there are three votes for it and three votes against it."
"So, the voters are in a gridlock?"
"Yep."
"So... we're boned?"
"We most certainly are Miles."

Interview

Tonight, I reveal the answers of the President of Asimostan, who seeks to become the new Delegate of the Alliance of Armed Nations, here are the results.

My Questions:
You have recently announced you will be running for Delegate of AOAN, what is your platform?
Your opponents are almost certainly going to point out that you once sided with IAB in conflict with AOAN, how will you defend yourself from these attacks?
Recently in AOAN, the Senate has been abolished. What is your opinion on this?
What do you think of use of referendum?

His Response:
In the race for delegate opposing my opponents when they bring that up will be hard, but we all were once a little crazy.
And that day I felt like having a spaz attack I remember clearly because my friends and me were going through hard, hard times, one attempted suicide but he lived, and well that drove me off the edge I've been keeping that a secret because I'm still deeply saddened by that day, as for the senate being abolished I do not support it as it was a key factor in our regions functionality, a important component in our infrastructure, if I am elected I will recreate a new senate but with tweaks and changes in it.
We will see that if I am elected.
Further more, the referendum was, well I should say is an important factor in overhauling our constitution and our laws and rights.
If I am elected I will have a board of nations including me to make laws and abolish laws
We will be open to suggestions like the world assembly where you submit them
Then the board and the senate will vote on them.
The majority vote will then be passed on to me and bougheyia who will then decide if we will accept it or veto it much like the steps that the American government does.
I hope you all take this into account when voting, may your fate be for ever in your favor and may your nation prosper.

Condemn Emporia towers is now at vote in the security council, this resolution proposed by The New Federation of allied states delegate Spuddsvania, The resolution is losing by a relatively large margin. Emporia Towers is being condemned for breaking the GA resolution banning bio weapons. In the aftermath of Milograd's coup he fled the region, while starting his own of already 40 nations.

Tonight we are interviewing one of the Delegate Candidates in the upcoming elections: Alcatrazin. We asked him the following questions:

Ambassador Alcatrazin, to you, what is the most important part of the constitution in your opinion?

Well Okra, I think Article 2, Section A is pretty darn important. We can go with out our rights, we can even go on with out a court system. But one thing we cannot do is live on with a corrupt government. We cannot have people committing election fraud, or flirting with the enemy of AOAN, which of now is the region of Blood and Iron.

Ambassador, what is the biggest threat to AOAN today?

The biggest threat to AOAN today is not fascism, nor is it the Black Riders or the GGR, but the citizens themselves. To quote a famous President, A house divided cannot stand, and that applies to AOAN. We cannot fight fascism or any problem for that matter if we cannot stand together as one.

Ambassador, who do you think is your biggest competition is in this election?

I haven't the slightest idea. I do not know any of my opponents political styles, and that puts me at a disadvantage. My political warfa... I mean tactics have been released in the public for quite some time now, so hopefully they have studied up on my musings.

And, we can revive endangered species before they are gone forever! Of course, this was developed by military scientists, they could be planning on re-introducing dinosaurs into our enemies countries! Only time will tell.

Regional News

The campaigning has begun! Already officials from Alcatrazin have set up a schedule to be followed throughout it. There will be debates and ummm... well mostly debates. Already candidates are posing their points in advertisements and debating with their fellow hopefuls. But their can be only one winner, and for now we can only wait to see who shall claim victory.

Earlier today I sat down with the President of Levivania and discussed his plans as possible Delegate.

What is your platform for your campaign?
I want to make the AOAN into a world power. Also, I want to make the AOAN more democratic by setting up a regional assembly for all to join. I want the people to have a voice

You are the underdog in this election and AOAN politics in general. Do you think this will help or hinder your campaign?
I don't know, I try to be as active in the AOAN as best as I can, I am a servant of the people

Recently the Senate has been abolished, what is your opinion on this?
As my NFOAS Senator in the senate, I saw first hand that the senate was dysfunctional, instead I plan on making a regional assembly to have everybody's voice heard.

What is your opinion on the use of referendum?
No opinion.

Elections are picking up speed, as we enter the Interview phase of our elections. A new Electoral Planner has been appointed, and we hope he serves us well.
Yesterday, our Asian News Correspondent Tricia Takanawa sat down with local Judge White Moon. Here is what she found.

Tricia Takanawa: Mr. Moon, in your opinion, who do you hope gets elected as Delegate?
Moon: I am on the fence between several Candidates, mainly between Godfathers, Lost Souls, and Alcatrazin.

Tricia Takanawa: Why is this, Mr. Moon?
Moon: Well Asian new correspondent Tricia Takanawa, these candidates haven't really thrown around what I like to call the big dream ball yet. My problem is when Delegates promise stuff they cannot even accomplish, such as becoming a major Democratic hub, when we aren't even an anti-fascist hub! I also don't want to risk my position as Judge in AOAN with a looming Judicial overhaul when turmoil could erupt in the next few days.

Tricia Takanawa: Mr. Moon, what do you look for most in a Delegate?
Moon: I want someone who respects the people who elects him but doesn't let them push him or her around either.

Tricia Takanawa: Who would you say fits this the most?
Moon: It would have to be Godfathers or Alcatrazin, maybe Lost Souls.

Gambling! To some a savored past time, to others an immoral, corrupt activity. Sadly for our resident gamblers and hustlers, the latter have managed to convince The Conclave to ban gambling. Gambling was banned due to its connections with organized crime and the fact that children were allowed to gamble! Some have tried to petition to have it legalized, as they say the government has no right to outlaw gambling. Well I for one think that we are better off without people throwing away their money in rigged casinos.

Regional News

The war with IAB has escalated. The Commander and Chief of the Alliance of Armed Nations Miliatary and President of Bougheyia, President Boughey was captured by New Joshinian Military Leader Soap. We have been informed that Boughey was rescued by Ism Inquisitor Tacitus and an unknown Avanzamento special forces operative. They escaped by helicopter but were shot down, and are now hiding from Joshinian forces in a large, dense forest. To those three brave men our hearts and prayers go out to you.

Interview

Earlier today I sat down with the President of Alcatrazin, and discussed his plans to run for Delegate.

What is your platform?

The last time you ran for Delegate you lost, and in hindsight it would appear it was due to the use of puppets. Do you think the precautions taken this time around will have an effect on your chances?

A few citizens stated they did not vote for you because you had not engaged in multiple raids or wars. Do you think you will lose their votes this time around?

What is your opinion on the use of referendum?


My platform is all about planning for the future. Our constitution has reached its carrying capacity, and so we must update it accordingly. I also will work on enforcing the constitution more, and make sure that infractions happen as rarely as possible. It is also imperative to keep buys in our works that will contribute to the down fall of fascism. No one can deny the fact that our past several raids have been... less than satisfactory.

I do not think those precautions will effect my chances in the slightest. I am sure none of the other candidates would stoop to the disturbingly low levels expressed in past elections.

I do not think I will lose votes because of that. I will help in raids or wars against actual foes, not the cowards in Blood and Iron.

I think the use of referendum would be a smashing idea if we weren't deadlocked or lazy all the time. What was the current votes for the first referendum, 3 to 3? Terrible lack of voter participation. We should be using mass telegrams to aware voters of any referendum coming up.

An admirable candidate. Of course as a member of Ism, the country that wrote the Constitution I am quite biased on the issue, and apologize for that influencing my decision to disagree with his first point. Other than that his points were clear and logical. I especially agree with his answer to my questions on referendum. Vote you lazy leaders! Well, that's all for tonight. BOUGHEYIA-Well, I think it may save time. But it will still have flaws. But all-in-all I think it make the AOAN government smaller.
So it doesn't bother you that now everyone can vote?
Not at all. The people now have more power then we thought possible. I think this is a big step in a good direction.

Next question. What is your opinion of New-Netherealm being permitted to run in the next elections, and can he still be trusted? I do not mean any disrespect to him by asking this question, it is just a pressing matter.
Ah, New-N. He is a good, yet crazy person. Should his previous crimes be brought up? I say he should. Last time to prove himself. If he cheats again, then you'll probably never see New-N as a delegate. As for being trust, I say depending on who you are you can trust him...
If the governing body is to be enlarged, lets say with more positions with actual powers, will his name be on the list for any of significant stature? If so, how far up are you willing to put him on the totem pole?
I say yes. But not much further then raiding or military.

Final Question. If Republicans have no heart, and Democrats have no balls, do Libertarians lack brains?
I don't know...
I'll take that as a yes.

Levivania has announced he will be running for delegacy next delegate election.

After his departure, the court ruled in favor of AOAN, stating that if Levivania returned, he would not get his position back. Though the General left, trouble still persisted. His supporters proclaimed that AOAN should be ashamed of itself, saying it was full of "idiots." Shortly after, the information was uncovered that former General Levivania supporters were planning an uprising in AOAN to enact their revenge on the poor citizens of AOAN. In the peace talks between the Delegate of AOAN and General Levivania, Levivania demanded the position of WA Delegate. He was declined. The former General has since returned, apologizing for his actions. After the disturbance, there is a new embassy under construction between The Sliver Isles and AOAN.

Cover Story
The Trial of criminal New Chucklaslovokia has finally ended today. Chuck was accused and convicted on many offensives on a regional scale. It seemed like Chuck could get away for a second time with regional crimes, until incriminating evidence was shown of him plotting treason. Chuck finally gave in and confessed to all his crimes. He will be banned for a month and then put on parole for another 6. Next time's cover story will feature judge white himself and his opinion on how the trial played out.

the New general for the AOAN has been appointed and it is: Prison Guard. She will take over for former general Levivania. Former general Levivania will still provide assistance though. Also, delegate asimostan's term is almost up. With election season around the corner, who will replace him.
