FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND
SABINA BOJANOVIC & THE NATIVES
OPENING ACT - THEME SONG

Sabina Bojanovic stands on the right platform. The left platform is took by the members of the Natives group. She wears this dress created by famous Christarnean designer - Anna Bayon. The stage is completely dark.

At the beginning we can hear the repeating sound of the drums. After about 20 seconds Sabina emits high-pitched sound and the light outshines her figure. Her voice dies down and then we can hear the traditional Folkandish flute in the background. After this long intro Sabina starts the first verse of the 11th WHF theme song "Footprints in the Sand". The melody is really mysterious.

I follow Beduins on Sahara desert
I can see their footprints in the sand
Although I'm thursty they say 'go ahead'
Some spread their arms to hold my hand.

Sabina prolongs the last word and the music becomes to be very similar to Rihanna's 'Where Have You Been'. During this music interval Sabina goes out of the platform and stands in the middle of the stage. The golden and white lights go crazy analogously to the beating of the drums. Sabina sings:

I'm floating with the wild river
That divides two independent lands
The water is too cold, I've got shivers
But I know I have to swim till the end

Then the same interval comes, but it lasts a little bit shorter. Then the stage flashes with the bright light. Sabina spreads her arm to the audience and sings:

Sometimes I need somebody
Somebody who holds my hand
Somebody who is ready
To show me the footprints in the sand
Then I would follow him
The world would be easier than it seems

This part of song is sung much faster but then the refrain comes. The three dancers appear on the stage behind the singer. They wear short cream dresses and big brown belts. They dances to the rhythm of the drums. Sabina walks along the stage and sings the chorus:

Weaker and weaker
I don't wanna be like that
The past brings me on its arms
I'm not alone
Although there are only two footprints on the ground

The word 'ground' resounds during the whole music interval. The drums beats more intensively that before. Sabina takes off her dress and it turns out that she wears this costume underneath. She dances with the dancers that also have changed their suits. The light becomes only white. Then she stops and sings:

I try to reach the high mountain top
I have to climb up and don't give up
Sometimes I feel like somebody holds my rope
And he doesn't let me stop

Then the dancers surround Sabina. The drums die down. The tiny stream of the light falls on Sabina's face. She sings:

Sometimes I need somebody
Somebody who holds my hand
Somebody who is ready
To show me the footprints in the sand
Then I would follow him
The world would be easier than it seems

Then the drums amplify and the dancers start to dance to their rhythm. Sabina comes back to the right platform and the refrain comes.

Weaker and weaker
I don't wanna be like that
The past brings me on its arms
I'm not alone
Although there are only two footprints on the ground
Weaker and weaker
I don't wanna be like that
The past brings me on its arms
I'm not alone
Although there are only two footprints on the ground

The drums beats slower and we can hear the flute again. Sabina emits the high notes. The dark comes and the whole music gradually dies down.
After the opening performance a big logo of 11th World Hit Festival appears on the screen. The audience screams and applauds.

01. Kishrael
אַלִיַה חוֹנוֹרִיַה - בֵדוֹלַח נַהַרוֹת
Bedolah Naharot - Aliya Honoria

To the Melody of Zlata Ognevich - Gravity

(Brackets): Denote Backing Singers
-Dash-: Denotes transliteration

Aliya Honoria, the first competitor for Kishrael in the World Hit Festival. For that she would be remembered, but could she be remembered for more? She had helped craft the song she would be singing, including both English and Hebrew lyrics to appeal to a wider audience. She wanted the song to be memorable, performing first was memorable, winning more so, but being a débutant, they may not succeed, and Aliya was aware of that.

The stage was bathed in a light blue glow, on the stage floor were glass shards, made to look like diamonds, crafted into a river shape which "flowed" between the two podiums. Aliya was on the eastern podium, looking down. She was wearing this. The "toes" were in a shimmering blue, the shades getting lighter the closer to the audience they got. As the first notes of the song played out, she put the microphone to her lips and began to sing.

I know a very special place
Somewhere in the skies above
Where the birds don’t cease their song
It’s a place of wonder

Holding the last note, she looks stronger as the backing vocalists come in for the next part of the song, she gestures with her hand to emphasize her words.

I know a very special place (Oh-ayeah-aye)
Somewhere out of our senses (Oh-ah-ah)
Where the rivers run with beauty
!הַבֵדוֹלַח נַהַרוֹת - Habedolah naharot!

She holds the note once again, but it is more stronger this time. As the backing vocalists begin to sing their part, she steps down from the podium and begins to travel down the "river" spinning once or twice as she reaches the centre of the stage.

(Yeah!)
(Ay-yeah-ey-ey)
Yeah!
(Ah-lah-lah)
(!הַבֵדוֹלַח נַהַרוֹת - Habedolah naharot!)

She sings the chorus while in the centre, closing her eyes to stress notes and gesticulating with her hand.

נֵצֵנֵץ עִם כֵסֵף גַה - Netzenetz im kesef gah
הַנַהַרוֹת זַב עִם הֵן - Hanaharot zav im hen
זֵה שֵׁלַה זמַן לַה זוֹהַר - Ze shela zman la zohar!
(The crystal rivers flow abundantly)

Looking straight down the camera lens with a stern, but comforting look, she continues the song.

I know a very special place (Way up high)
Transcendent in nature
And it’s for all you and me
Come and join us!

נֵצֵנֵץ עִם כֵסֵף גַה - Netzenetz im kesef gah
הַנַהַרוֹת זַב עִם הֵן - Hanaharot zav im hen
זֵה שֵׁלַה זמַן לַה זוֹהַר - Ze shela zman la zohar!
(The crystal rivers flow abundantly)

The ending of the song was near, she turned away from the crowd, and turned back as she began to sing the huge ending. If she could hit this, it could go well for her.

I know a very special place
They await us up there
Where the crystal rivers flow!
(Lift up your soul!)
Just believe…

Out of breath, but satisifed with her performance, she finished: "Thank you Ceso! Dziękuję!"

!הַבֵדוֹלַח נַהַרוֹת - Habedolah naharot! - The Crystal Rivers!

נֵצֵנֵץ עִם כֵסֵף גַה - Netzenetz im kesef gah - Shimmering With Silver Pride
הַנַהַרוֹת זַב עִם הֵן - Hanaharot zav im hen - The rivers flow with grace
זֵה שֵׁלַה זמַן לַה זוֹהַר - Ze shela zman la zohar! - This is its time to shine!

02. Lymantatia: Nós não vamos no meio do nada, nem fazemos nada a lugar nenhum by Cristina de Marzo.

Cristina de Marzo arrived at the stage. The lights started to go rainbow.

During the break, the lights turned off and Cristina spinned.

People cheer and Cristina says "Obrigado!" several times.

Kala Polotnava
Polona

Translation: Lost
Language: Polkopian

Tune: My Heart Is Refusing Me (2012 Edition)

Kala Polotnava song had come in first place out of the final five entries in the Polkopian National Finals. Because of the resulting votes, Kala had been selected to participate in the World Hit Festival contest, while the first runner up would participate in the upcoming Worldvision Song Contest.

Kala Polotnava walked onto the stage, which was lit up in a deep blue color. The floor of the stage was lit up in a black-blue gradient, with the black part centered on Kala wherever she moved. Two Polkopian back-up singers soon joined Kala on the stage, and took their place on the far left, elevated portion of the stage, while Kala stood in the center. As she looked upon the cheering crowd, she soon replaced her nervous grin with a look of determination. She was determined to not only lead Polkopia to their best ever placing in the WHF, but to win the entire contest, bringing glory and fame to her home country, who had never won the World Hit Festival before. She wanted to change that. As the music began playing she grasped the microphone with her left hand and began singing.

As the music played, the background faded to different shades of blue, but stopped as soon as Kala began singing. The background color was now matched with the exact color of Kala's dress. As she sang, black designs began to creep their way along the background.

Bold: Kala and her backup singers
Regular: Just Kala
Italic: Just backup singers

Ya intell (I don't know)
Stoh zu merr (What to say)
Zu kerya stoh ya van den (To fix what I have done)

Ya intell (I don't know)
Stoh ya kann al' (What I can do)
Zu delat yo elefta ya (To make you forgive me)

The background flickers at the sound of the beat while the design continues to creep along it.

Ya vinditya po' stoh ya war alama (I didn't know what I was doing)
Ya enver zuertna zu clasha yo... I (I never meant to hurt you..I)
Ya intell (I don't know)
Stoh zu merr (What to say)

As soon as the chorus comes, the stage completely lights up in yellow lights. The background now resembles a furious snowstorm.

Ya po' tat yam Polona... (I know that I'm lost...)
Won ya kannt see yan path (Now I can't find my way)
Venin path yam Polona (Either way I'm lost)
Ver am ya won? (Where am I now?)

As the beat plays, the background resembles a sun shining above the blizzard. The lights flicker at the sound of the beat again.

Eyyyy Ey
Eyyyy Ey
Eyyyy Ey
Ver am ya won? (Where am I now?)

Eyyyy Ey
Eyyyy Ey
Eyyyy Ey

As the beat slows down, the lights return to how they were previously, as does the background, but this time, the background pattern starts again, overlapping the one from before. This one is colored a deep red.

Yam zatel' (I'm confused)
Spel'v a' alan (Spellbound and absent)
Atka cam a' sava ya (Please come and rescue me)

Medlenno (Slowly)
Cam zu ya (Come to me)
A' ave ya von yasho (And save me from myself)

The background flickers at the sound of the beat while the design continues to creep along it, just like it had done before.

Ya vinditya po' stoh ya war alama (I didn't know what I was doing)
Ya enver zuertna zu clasha yo... I (I never meant to hurt you..I)
Ya intell (I don't know)
Stoh zu al' (What to do)

As soon as the chorus comes once more, the stage completely lights up in yellow lights. The background continues its pattern, however.

Ya po' tat yam Polona... (I know that I'm lost...)
Won ya kannt see yan path (Now I can't find my way)
Venin path yam Polona (Either way I'm lost)
Ver am ya won? (Where am I now?)

As the beat plays the lights flicker at the sound of the beat again.

Eyyyy Ey
Eyyyy Ey
Eyyyy Ey
Ver am ya won? (Where am I now?)

Eyyyy Ey
Eyyyy Ey
Eyyyy Ey
Ver am ya won? (Where am I now?)
Ooh...

As the beat stops, so do the lights and the background. Everything is black except the ground, which is dimly lit, so Kala and her singers are still visible. The floor now seems to grow cracks in it, and they all seem to be coming from Kala herself. As she signs these small notes, she walks slowly over to the other elevated section of the stage, opposite from her backup signers. As she walks, pieces of the stage 'fall off' from where she stood previously.

Hey....
Hmmm ohhh....
Hmm... ohh...ohhhhhhh

The stage lights up once more as the beat picks up the pace. The lights start to flicker with the sound of the beat. the background goes back to the snowstorm video, but the storm seems to have died down.

As she sings the chorus again, the lights, all of them, flicker with the beat. The floor pattern 'repairs' itself, and Kala sings while walking to the non-elevated portion of the stage, close to the crowd, smiling. She walks around the stage, looking at the crowd with a huge smile on her face.

Ya po' tat yam Polona... (I know that I'm lost...)
Won ya kannt see yan path (Now I can't find my way)
Venin path yam Polona (Either way I'm lost)
Ver am ya won...? (Where am I now...?)

Eyyyy Ey
Eyyyy Ey
Eyyyy Ey
Ver am ya won? (Where am I now?)

Eyyyy Ey
Eyyyy Ey
Eyyyy Ey

The lights fade back to black as she finishes up with her last notes.

Ohhhh....
Ohhhh...
Oh oh....

As she finishes, she bows her head as her singers run to her and hug her.

"Dziekuje Flegavia. Thank you Folkand!"

With that, they all proceed to walk off the stage, clearly happy about their performance.

06. Venasta
Maria Casanova
When Will You?

Language: English

Tune: Vida Minha - Filipa Sousa

Regular: Just Maria
Bold: Maria and her backup singers

Maria Casanova and her four backup singers walked onto the stage. Maria was dressed in an elegant silver dress, and her hair fell in beautiful waves down to her shoulders. Hey backup singers, two of them who were male, wore clothes somewhat similar to Maria, with the women wearing shorter, silver dresses, and the men wearing grey suits. Maria and her song were selected using a record for best sales in the music industry in Venasta, with sales in her many other songs growing at an exponential rate, while other artists fell short. It was for this reason, that Maria Casanova was selected. For her song, the citizens of Venasta voted on three of her songs. Her other two songs fell short of the voting, placing the song, "When Will You", in first place, which meant that Maria was to sing this song at the upcoming World Hit Festival song contest.

As she walked on the stage, Maria gave an appreciative smile to the cheering crowd, and relaxed her body. She took her place in center stage, while the backup singers stood on the left, elevated section of the stage. As the music began playing, the background video showed the cobblestone streets of Fantia, the capital city of Venasta. As the music played on, however, the video would pan in to other locations in the capital city, such as the many cafés, museums, and other culture icons. The video remained in black and white to give the song a bit of a deeper meaning. The floor was covered in a light fog, adding a airy feeling to the song. Maria smiled once more to the crowd before the music began playing.

I walk alone one the road
A lonely figure by herself
Still I cannot see the light of day
My vision is all to myself

I see the people passing by me
So glad they're all happy
Why can't that just be me?
I'm all by myself

I'm all by myself
But that's not how it has to be.

The background singers now start singing "Ohh" while Maria sings. The background now changes to a series of exquisite black and white patterns, which overlap the previous video playing.

When will you reach your hand out to me?
Be my guide, and point the way to me?
Clear this darkness that hangs above me?
Or will you just sit there and watch me endure?

When will you be the light to my darkness?
Be the cure to my loneliness?
Be the gleam of hope in my wretchedness?
Or will you just sit there?

When will you?

The video continues playing the exquisite patterns of the screen. These patterns start off as lines, but they seem to draw themselves into outlines of cityscapes, landscapes, etc.

Why am I all by myself?
I thought you would be here...

The lights now grow brighter as she sings these almost angry notes. The background seems to rip itself apart as this happens. The background singers continue to sing 'Ooh' as Maria sings.

You were supposed to be here
Why aren't you here yet?
Are you even coming?

The lights now turn dim, but light up once again as Maria sings. The background singers are silent as Maria hits her high note.

When will you be here?

07. New Warwick
SONG: All My Life
ARTIST: Black Daisy
Tune: Night, by Zola Jesus

Black Daisy is a music project headed by Sara Bloom, who is wearing the outfit on the right. Performing with her tonight is a drummer and two keyboardists. They stand on the stage in a diamond-like pattern, with Sara directly in front of the drummer, who is further back than the keyboardists. As the song starts, she stands still, looking at the ground. The stage is mostly dark, except for a few flashes of white light across the faces and bodies of those on stage. Before she begins to sing, she lifts her head slowly from the ground with a sort of blank, terrified look on her face, like a deer caught in headlights, as the lights shine from almost directly in front of her. From behind and the sides, there is a light blue wash of light.

How can you say
"No point anymore"
I have known all my life
There has never been

Holding dark
Holding me
And I have known all my life
This is what it is

She begins to move a bit, feeling the music, but not really dancing. The light blue wash changes to an intense red.

Meaningless
Don't be afraid
Cos I have known all my life
There is no point

We're all alone
Can we connect?
And I have known all my life
It will be hard

As she sings the next verse, she stands still, but when she's not singing, she flings her arms around (kind of like in the video, but not exactly - just that kind of feeling). Bright white lights flash across her face and the rest of the stage. It looks like writing - letters, words, but it flashes so quickly it is indecipherable, so that the audience is left knowing that something is being said, but not what the message is.

Cos we're all dying
With every day
But I have known all my life
The truth is up to you

You know that you're dying
And so am I
But I have known all my life
We are always free

She calms down, moving to the music (but not dancing) again. The lights behind her, shining on the band, turn into blacklight, and all that can be seen of the musicians are their lips and hands. The red wash returns on her only.

What it means is up to you
Let it fall into your soul
Cos I have known all my life
There's nothing to hold back

Yes I have known all my life
There's nothing to hold back
Yes I have known all my life
There's nothing to hold back

She grabs onto the microphone, emphasizing her words, emoting intensely with her face. The wash returns to blue.

Yes I have known all my life
There's nothing to hold back
Cos I have known all my life
There's nothing to hold back

The lights return to how they were as she began singing, except the blue wash is now pure white light.

Yes I have known all my life
There's nothing to hold back

Very quietly, she says "Thank you," bows her head, and walks offstage.

08.Calimera
Nazareno Lluvias
Y ahora estas (And now you're here)

Language: Spanish/English

Tune: Let Her Go- Passenger

Nazareno Lluvias is a young, motivated Calimeran singer. But only last year he made a number one hit, ''No se puede mas''. (Something like: This can't go longer like this anymore.) But in that year his life changed a lot. He has a wife, first child is born some weeks ago. And he has a vast group of fans who travel along him on his tours. But now, Nazareno will try to take the first place to Calimera. Nazerano said: ''How can it be that a nation with such great singers never got first place! Of course, if we rank in the top 10 it's very good aswell.. But I hope we can end higher.''

Nazareno Lluvias is siting alone, and waiting in the green room, with all the other artists. He looks nervous at the clock and starts talking with Sara Bloom from New Warwick. They get along pretty well.
Nazareno is dressed in a black smoking from a luxurious Calimeran brand called: ''El Zapallo Con Queso''.. And he has some dark shoes aswell. He didn't wanted to talk to the press before his performance. Because he needs 'to rest.'

The stage is totally dark. The 'feet' on the stage has a white border. That's the audience can see.
When a small light turns on, and points to the top of the feet, people see Nazareno. When the music starts he begins singing:

When you sing to me
My heart beats stops
Solo tu cancion me da la paz (Only your song gives me peace)
Solo tu passion me deja amar (Only your passion let's me love)

Nazareno looks at the floor while he's singing the song very emotionally and with a lot of passion.

Solo vos sabes como es (Only you knows how it is)
Estar solo como en el carcel (To be alone like in a prison)
Solo estas contento (You are only satisfied)
Cuando vos no estas (When you aren't)

He jumps of the feet and starts singing:

Solo estar cantando me muestra tu amor (Only singing shows me your love)

Y ahora estas (And now you are here)

-Music Solo-

During the Music Solo some white flower leaves start falling from the sealing. And on the wall, where Nazareno is in front of, there start to appear 'sort of falling white leaves'.
Nazareno then takes a deep breath and continues singing:

Looking to the cracks in my heart
Hoping you will fix it some day
La verdad que si lo podes hacer (The truth is that you can do it)

Te veo con los ojos cerado (I see you with my eyes closed)
Porque vos estas (Because you are here)
en mi corazon (In my heart)
I see you and my heart breaks a parts

When you sing to me
My heart beats stops
Solo tu cancion me da la paz (Only your song gives me peace)
Solo tu passion me deja amar (Only your passion let's me love)

Solo vos sabes como es (Only you knows how it is)
Estar solo como en el carcel (To be alone like in a prison)
Solo estas contento (You are only satisfied)
Cuando vos no estas (When you aren't)

Then he grabs the leaves that fall during his performance, and he starts walking around, looks to the flowers in his hands, makes a sign to god and then he let them fall again. He sits on the floor, and suddenly every light turns black again.

Looking to the cracks in my heart
Hoping you will fix it some day
La verdad que si lo podes hacer (The truth is you can do it)

Suddenly, the 30 small white lights turn on, shining all to Nazareno. And thousends of white flower leaves start falling again.

Maybe some day you will understand
That I never never never can
Be without you without cracks in my heart

When you sing to me
My heart beats stops
Solo tu cancion me da la paz (Only your song gives me peace)
Solo tu passion me deja amar (Only your passion let's me love)

Fernando stands up makes a movement with his hand to the audience. And he starts singing again, singing with a lot of emotions:

Solo vos sabes como es (Only you knows how it is)
Estar solo como en el carcel (To be alone like in a prison)
Solo estas contento (You are only satisfied)
Cuando vos no estas (When you aren't)

Y ahora estas (And now you are)
a-a-acaa (Here)
Y ahora estas (And now you are)
a-a-acaa (Here)
Y ahora, estas (And now you are)

When you sing to me
My heart beats stops
Solo tu cancion me da la paz (Only your song gives me peace)
Solo tu passion me deja amar (Only your passion let's me love)

O dear, it is enough
Listen to the beats of my little heart
I may be true
But we will never now
When we don't try
My heart won't glow

Then the music stops for around 4 seconds, and he ends his song saying:
Sos perfecta amor mia (You are perfect my love)
Solo quiero tu amor (Y only want your love)

He looks at the audience and finishes

Y ahora ya-a, no estas (And now, you aren't here)

Nazareno smiles, a says: ''Sometimes it's better to just smile, thank you.''
And he fades away.

09 Fromulya
Matematika (Mathematics), by Guru Lesmu feat. ParaMurid
Based on Ik Ben Verliefd (Sha-La-Lie) by Sieneke

Guru Lesmu wrote the song, and 4 of her students (Putra, Monica, Ihsan, and Sheila) formed a musical group when they were asked to accompany her on stage. While Guru was wearing this with normal black pants, the kids wore typical middle-school uniforms.

On the left side of the stage, there were 2 sets of tables with chairs (somewhat like this) which were next to each other. There the kids sat (in the same order as mentioned above). Each of them were equipped with head microphones. On the other side, there was a teacher's desk where Guru was sitting. The background displayed a giant chalkboard, where the text of each verse and translations in English and Polish were displayed.

Color codes: Alltogether, Guru, ParaMurid: Putra, Monica, Ihsan, and Sheila.

During the intro of the song, Guru shouted and the kids replied:

Baiklah anak-anak, kalian sudah siap? (Okay kids, are you ready?)

Siap, Bu Guru! (Ready, ma'am!)

Guru then stood up, and said "Baiklah Putra, silakan!" (Okay Putra, go ahead!) and then the camera focused on Putra, eventually moving rightwards to Monica, as they sang their lines.

Suatu hari ku berangkat ke sekolah, bersemangat (One day I went to school, excited)
Ku menyiapkan sebuah pensil untuk mengisi soal (I prepared a pencil to complete worksheets)

Pelajaran pertamaku, yaitu matematika (My first lesson, it was math)
Dan ibu guru memasuki ruang kelas sambil tersenyum (And the (female) teacher came in, smiling)

The camera switched to the one showing the full stage, and they sang:

Tambahkan! Kurangkan! Kalikan! Bagikan! (Add! Subtract! Multiply! Divide!)
Itu matematika! (It's Mathematics!)
Tambahkan! Kurangkan! Kalikan! Bagikan! (Add! Subtract! Multiply! Divide!)
Itu matematika! (It's Mathematics!)

Pelajaran ini penting sekali (This lesson will be very important)
Untuk masa depan (In the future)

Tambahkan! Kurangkan! Kalikan! Bagikan! (Add! Subtract! Multiply! Divide!)
Membuatmu pintar (Makes you smart)

The camera then focused on the kids. Not specifically, just as a whole.

Aku bisa! Aku yakin! Pasti bisa!
Masa depanmu akan cerah

The camera then zoomed in into Ihsan, as he started singing the next 2 verses. Later on it moved on to Sheila.

Dan ibu guru menjelaskan apa yang harus dikerjakan (And the teacher explained what to do)
Kegiatan yang ada di buku tulisku kulaksanakan (I filled in the activities in my textbook)

Pendidikan itu penting, ilmu yang sangat berguna (Education is important, (for) very useful knowledge)
Tentunya bermanfaat jika dilatih terus-menerus (Will certainly be useful if (one is to) practice repeatedly)

And then the camera dramatically zoomed out to show the whole stage. Guru Lesmu is revealed to be sitting back at her desk.
Putra and Monica sing the first line and Ihsan and Sheila do the second of the following verse:

Belajarlah! Belajarlah! (Study!)
Belajarlah! Belajarlah!

Supaya lulus ujian (To pass the test)

Guru and the kids stand up and go to the front as they sing the next verse. Then they sing the remainder of the song together, with the kids being in the previously stated order, and Guru in the middle. They sway from side to side with the beat (OOC: I won't put translations for the rest of the song, as they're available above).

Tambahkan! Kurangkan! Kalikan! Bagikan!
Itu matematika!
Tambahkan! Kurangkan! Kalikan! Bagikan!
Itu matematika!

Pelajaran ini penting sekali
Untuk masa depan
Tambahkan! Kurangkan! Kalikan! Bagikan!
Membuatmu pintar

Tambahkan! Kurangkan! Kalikan! Bagikan!
Itu matematika!
Tambahkan! Kurangkan! Kalikan! Bagikan!
Itu matematika!

Pelajaran ini penting sekali
Untuk masa depan
Tambahkan! Kurangkan! Kalikan! Bagikan!
Itu matematika!
Tambahkan! Kurangkan! Kalikan! Bagikan!
Ya, matematika!

The song ends with shots of fire (as pyrotechnics are used at the end of most performances) and the display of the phrase "Terima Kasih, Thank You, Dziekuje" on the 'chalkboard'. Guru and the kids take a bow and repeat the phrases displayed on the screen behind them.

10. FORMER FOLKANDISH REPUBLIC OF SAINTRABINA
Eli Jan
Animal Instinct

Language: English
Tune: Edyta Górniak - To co chcesz

Image

Eli Jan wears a leopard dress. Her hair is combed back. The strong make-up make her look so aggressive. Eli stands on the top of the left platform. She holds three long leashes in her left hand and a microphone in the right one. She keeps three shirtless male dancers on her leashes. They crawl on the floor. The left platform is taken by two chorus girls that wear these dresses. The screen shows colourful line visualisations that create the forms of different animals like gazelles, snakes, leopards etc. The stage is bathed in white and yellow lights. Eli sings the first verses standing on the platform.

I'm a lion
I can be so dangerous
When you hear my roaring
You know you shouldn't come too close.

Then she starts to descend from the platform still singing.

But if you don't listen
My intuition
Will lose me
And you, and you, and you
Will be my prey

When she's finally on the proper stage, Eli with their dancers walk along the scene. She sings:

My heart consumes you, eats you
With its sharp teeth
Let me absorb you, love you
It's all I need.

Then Eli drops the leashes and the dancers stand up. They are dancing while Eli Jan is singing the chorus.

A-animal instinct
Ma-makes you my victim
Don't you know
A-animal instinct
Mu-murderous feeling
I can't ignore

The dancers surround the singer and crawl on the floor in her direction. She stands in the middle of the stage looking at the audience. She sings next verses.

I'm a python
Crawling under your bedclothes
When I touch your body
I inject a toxic dose

The dancers come closer to Eli Jan and start to touch her body. She puts her head up and sings:

I embrace your shoulders
My six senses
Won't make me stop
And you, and you, and you
Will be in my trap

She spreads her arms pushing the dancers. They turn out and follow Eli Jan who strolls along the stage like a model moving her hips.

My heart consumes you, eats you
With its sharp teeth
Let me absorb you, love you
It's all, it's all, it's all I need.

She stands in the centre of the stage. The dancers dance behind her while she's singing.

A-animal instinct
Ma-makes you my victim
Don't you know
A-animal instinct
Mu-murderous feeling
I can't ignore

My heart consumes you, eats you
With its sharp teeth
Let me absorb you, love you
...
It's all I need.

She goes in the dorection of the left platform whispering:

I need...
Mmm… Animal instinct.
My prey, my prey.
Let me absorb you.
Let me love you
Animal sense

Man

She sings the last part of the song standing on the left platform. The dancers dance below her.

'Cuz a-animal instinct
Ma-makes you my victim
Don't you know
A-animal instinct
Mu-murderous feeling
I can't ignore

My heart consumes you, eats you
With its sharp teeth
Let me absorb you, love you
It's all, it's all, it's all I need.

A-animal instinct
Ma-makes you my victim

A-animal instinct
Mu-murderous feeling.

The dancers fall on the floor.

Animal instinct

Eli Jan sends a kiss to the audience saying 'Thank You, World'.

11. FORMER FOLKANDISH REPUBLIC OF CHRISTARNEA
Casa Limenovsky feat. AMPER
Tornado

Language: Polish, English
Tune: Mateusz Mijal & Liber - Winny

Image
Image

Casa wears white T-shirt, black jacket and blue denim trousers, AMPER wears the same but he's got violet jacket instead of the black one. Casa stands on the left platform, AMPER stands on the right one. The two chorus girls standing behind the main part of the stage in the short black dresses. Next to the chorus girls there is a blonde violinist that plays sitting on the chair. The screen shows the sky covered by the dark clouds. The stage is in the dark but when the first notes resound, the light falls on Casa. He sings going down:

Widzę znaki na niebie (I see the signs on the sky)
Ziemię ogarnia mrok (Darkness envelops the earth)
Lecz nie martw się (But don't be afraid)
Taka jest kolej rzeczy - a to kolejny krok (This is the way of things - and this is the next step)
Droga, pamiętaj o tym, że nie będzie nas (My dear, remember that there won't be us)
Wiatr rozdzieli serca dwa (The wind will divide two hearts)
A deszcz ukoi ból, gdy przyjdzie na to czas (And the rain will ease the pain, when the time comes)
Rozmyje łzy (It will blur the tears)
Powstrzyma płacz (It will stop our cry)

The light outshines the whole low stage. Casa sings the refrain walking along.

A wichura sny zabierze mi (And the storm will take my dreams away)
Bo nie uchronię się przed nim wśród moich win (Because I won't avoid it among my guilts)
Gdy przejdzie tornado, wszystko zniknie, nawet ty (When the tornado comes, everything will disappear, even you)
Mam cichą nadzieję, że pozostanie chociaż rys (I secretly hope that just a trait will survive)

Casa comes closer to the audience and squats looking at the first row. He sings to the girls standing near the stage.

There's something in the sky
Our world is in the dark
Don't be afraid
You know that it must happen, this is only a mark
Honey, remember it's time we have to go away
It'll divide us soon, the rain will ease the pain
'Cuz it can hold back the tears
Oh, when the time comes
Oh, when the time comes

He comes back to the middle of the stage. The artificial fog is spreaded on the stage. Casa sings the refrain with more power than before.

But the storm will steal all of my dreams
I cannot hide and pray for life among my guilts
I see the tornado, everything will disappear
I secretly hope that it'll leave just a piece of me

Then the light shows AMPER going down. He sings his rapping part of the song.

Widzisz to?! To moja twarz czerwona od krwi (Do you see it?! This is my face red with blood)
To wynik win, mych grzechów, snów i beztroskich dni (This is the result of the guilts, my sins, dreams and carefree days)
Chciałaś uniknąć kłamstw, lecz skłamałaś znów (You wanted to avoid lies, but you lied again)
Mówiłaś: "czuję to", kochałaś, grając jak z nut (You said: "I feel it", you loved, acting like with notes)
Teraz stoimy nadzy, rozgrzeszeni z win (Now we are standing naked, absolved of the guilts)
Niebawem znikniesz jak sen (You'll disappear soon)
Nie zdołasz ukryć się przed huraganem (You won't be able to hide from the hurricane)
Podaj mi swą dłoń, zniesiemy ten ból (Give me your hand, we will bear this pain)
Choć tyle mogę zrobić by przetrwać (I can do only as much to survive)
To tornado. (This tornado)

AMPER stands by Casa. They sing the last two refrains together strolling around the stage.

But the storm will steal all of my dreams
I cannot hide and pray for life among my guilts
I see the tornado, everything will disappear
I secretly hope that it'll leave just a piece of me

Then they say 'Thanks, World' and bow to the audience.

Veranda is a folk band that contains Viktor Famishi (a lead singer and a violinist), Karan Famishi (a drummer), Leonel Laborov (a violinist), Emer Hishka (guitarist). The members and two chorus girls wear tradicional Machataican clothes. The screen shows big old clock that symbolizes elapsed time. The lead singer stands with his violin in the centre of the main stage. The rest of the band takes place behind him except for the drummer that takes place on the left platform. Two chorus girls stands on the right one. The light are golden, white and violet. The music starts to play. Viktor sings:

Kiedyś młody był (When he was young)
Jak każdy z nas (Like every one of us)
Beztrosko żył (He lived airily)

O przyszłości snił (He dreamt about his future)
Tak barwnej jak (As colourful as)
Magiczny pył (Magical dust)

Lecz ten czas (But the time)
Nikt go z nas (No one of us)
Nie zatrzyma (Will stop it)
Płomień zgasł (The flame disappeared)
Z bicza trzasł (Cracked his whip)
W starca śnie się zżyma (It snarls in the dream of the greybeard)

Then the music becomes more powerful and energetic. He sings the refrain. We can hear the choirists in the background.

Bo człowieczy los - powiedział ktoś (Because the human fate - somebody said)
To marność nad marność, gdy bieg kończy wiek (Is vanity of vanities, when the age ends)
Stary człowiek (An old man)
Stary człowiek (An old man)
Stary człowiek (An old man)
Stary człowiek (An old man)

Bo człowieczy los - powiedział ktoś (Because the human fate - somebody said)

Stary człowiek (An old man)
Stary człowiek (An old man)
Stary człowiek (An old man)

Then the music becomes softlier. The violin plays in the background. Victor starts the next versus:

W oczach zniknął blask (The sparkle in his eyes disappeared)
Wraz z drżeniem rąk (With the trembling hands)

Przemierzałeś szlak (You traversed the trail)
Wśród górskich łąk (Among the mountain meadows)
A ich tam brak (And they aren't there)

Gdyż ten czas (Because the time)

Nie zatrzyma (Will stop it)
Płomień zgasł (The flame disappeared)
Z bicza trzasł (Cracked his whip)
W starca śnie się zżyma (It snarls in the dream of the greybeard)

Then Victor takes his violin and plays. His legs are dancing to the rhythm. After a few seconds, he sings the refrain:

Bo człowieczy los - powiedział ktoś (Because the human fate - somebody said)
To marność nad marność, gdy bieg kończy wiek (Is vanity of vanities, when the age ends)
Stary człowiek (An old man)
Stary człowiek (An old man)
Stary człowiek (An old man)
Stary człowiek (An old man)

Bo człowieczy los - powiedział ktoś (Because the human fate - somebody said)

Stary człowiek (An old man)
Stary człowiek (An old man)
Stary człowiek (An old man)
Stary człowiek (An old man)

Then the light goes off and only a tiny stream of golden light falls on Victor's head. He sings while the girls are repeating 'Stary człowiek'.

Drżący, cichy głos (Trembling undertone)
Cienki, siwy włos (Tiny grey hair)
Słaby, drętwy cios (Weak lifeless smite)
Taki ludzki los (This is the human fate)

Then the lights come back and the energetic music resounds. Victor sings walking along the stage:

Bo człowieczy los - powiedział ktoś (Because the human fate - somebody said)
To marność nad marność, gdy bieg kończy wiek (Is vanity of vanities, when the age ends)
Stary człowiek (An old man)

13. FORMER FOLKANDISH REPUBLIC OF RUSMAILICA
Kazandra Rei
Listopad

Language: Polish
Tune: Ewelina Lisowska - Nieodporny rozum

Image

Kazandra wears black leggings, red high-heeled shoes, white blouse and denim jacket. She's alone on the stage. She stands in the middle of the stage. Her expression is enough to perform this song and nothing more is necessary. She starts with memorable 'oh oh oh' as an intro. The lights are green, yellow and white. The screen shows the colourful leaves falling from the tree. Then she comes to the forst versus:

Wciąż pamiętam ów porę kiedy liście spadały z drzew (I still remember this season when the leaves were falling from the trees)
Pani Jesień zawładnęła mym dniem (Mrs. Autumn took possession of my day)
I stała się mym snem, który pokierował sercem (And became my dream that guided my heart)
To był pamiętny spacer (It was a memorable walk)
Wtedy spotkałam cię, gdy siedziałeś na ławce tej (Then I met you, when you were sitting on the bench)
Obok ciebie usiadłam (I sat next to you)
Lecz dlaczego milczałam? (But why did I keep quiet?)

She walks around the stage and moves to the rhythm of the song. Her face expresses the maturity.

Zdobyłeś się na kilka słów (You nerved yourself to say a few words)
Spijałam je (I was drinking them)
Gdy teraz myślę o tym znów (Now I think about it again)
Pocałowałabym cię (I would have kissed you)

Then the refrain comes. She waves her hands and sings to the audience. Kazandra turns her vocal into more aggresive.

To ten listopad (This November)
I deszczu opad (And the rain)
Sprawił, że serce Amor dopadł (Caused that Amor hunted down my heart)
Złociste liście (Golden leaves)
Co złączyliście (That had connected)
Samotne tak serca dwa, czy nas zwiedliście? (Two lonely hearts, did you deceive us?)

She turns back and sings entering the right platform. Betweenwhiles she turns her head to the audience.

O nie, nie, nie! (Oh no no no)
Nie zapomnę tych pięknych chwil (I won't forget those beautiful moments)
Nie mam siły (I've got no power)
Nie odbierasz mych listów (You don't receive my letters)
Odejdź! Słowa już dawno się zmyły. (Go away! The words were washed away long ago)
Pewnie chcesz stłumić ten żal, (You surely want to mute this sorrow)
Co sprawił ten ból serca zły (That caused this bad heartache)
Lecz wiedz, że nie pozwolę (But know that I won't let you)
Byś zapomniał na dobre (To forget about it)

When Kazandra is on the platform she put her left arm in the air and make a straddle. She sings softly

Zdobyłeś się na kilka słów (You nerved yourself to say a few words)
Spijałam je (I was drinking them)
Gdy teraz myślę o tym znów (Now I think about it again)
Pocałowałabym cię (I would have kissed you)

Then her voice changes into more powerful. Kazandra sings the refrain moving his body to the beat.

To ten listopad (This November)
I deszczu opad (And the rain)
Sprawił, że serce Amor dopadł (Caused that Amor hunted down my heart)
Złociste liście (Golden leaves)
Co złączyliście (That had connected)
Samotne tak serca dwa, czy nas zwiedliście? (Two lonely hearts, did you deceive us?)

Then she goes down singing coquettishly.

Zostawiłeś mnie w tym parku (You left me in the park)
Tam siedziałam jak w letargu (I was sitting there in lethargy)
Czekałam aż wrócisz i pokochasz znów (I waited for to come back and love me again)
Lecz wtedy ci zabraklo słów (But then you ran out of words)

Zostawiłeś mnie w tym parku (You left me in the park)
Tam siedziałam jak w letargu (I was sitting there in lethargy)
Czekałam aż wrócisz i pokochasz znów (I waited for to come back and love me again)
Lecz wtedy ci zabraklo słów (But then you ran out of words)

Then she sends a kiss to the audience and waves her hand saying 'Dziękuję' (Thank you).

14. FORMER FOLKANDISH REPUBLIC OF LAPRATORY
Steman
Vabank

Language: English
Tune: Mrozu - Rollercoaster

Image

Steman wears blue demin trousers, white T-shirt and leather jacket. His neck is covered by stylish red scarf. He wears sunglasses. He stands in the middle of the main stage. The screen shows white and blue abstract visualisations. The lights are in the same colours. Steman starts the first part of the song standing back to the audience.

We are ready to go, we are ready to stay
Give me your hand, 'cuz together we play
I wanna stake everything on one card
You will survive if you can go hard

Then he turns back and five female dancers (wearing urban hip-hop clothes) come to the front of the stage. They dance hip-hop when Steman is singing and walking along the stage:

Today I'm playing vabank
And if you wanna I can teach you how to play
When some ask if you funk
You are unsure what to do and what to say
But when you get a grip, quickly trip
You will be wholly free, it is time to get on a ship
Better go with a flow, are you ready for the blow?!
Yes, we are ready for the show

The dancers dance more powerful. Steman dances with them and sings the refrain:

We are ready to go, we are ready to stay
Give me your hand, 'cuz together we play
I wanna stake everything on one card
You will survive if you can go
Oh if you can go hard
Playing vabank, playing vabank, playing vabank
We can go hard
Playing vabank, playing vabank, playing vabank
We can go hard

The dancers come behind Steman. He comes closer to the audience and sings the next versus waving his arms, trying to enliven the audience:

It's time for conclusion
Our life is just the jungle law
It's not an ilusion,
You should know you can't change the world
But when you get a grip, quickly trip
You will be wholly free, it is time to get on a ship
Better go with a flow, are you ready for the blow?!
Yes, we are ready for the show

Then the dancers dance the complicated hip-hop choreography that makes the performance more energetic. Steman sings clapping his hands and jumping.

We are ready to go, we are ready to stay
Give me your hand, 'cuz together we play
I wanna stake everything on one card
You will survive if you can go
Oh if you can go hard
Playing vabank, playing vabank, playing vabank
We can go hard
Playing vabank, playing vabank, playing vabank
We can go hard

Steman dances with the group.

We are ready to go, we are ready to stay
Give me your hand, 'cuz together we play
I wanna stake everything on one card
You will survive if you can go
Oh if you can go hard
Ooo Ooo Ooo
We can go hard
Ooo Ooo Ooo
Oh we can go hard

Then the dancers sit down by Steman and he sings the last verse with a softer voice.

I wanna stake everything on one card
You will survive if you can go hard

He waves to the audience and says 'Thanks'

Removed due to request by Euskirribakondara. IC Withdrawl reason is as follows:
Dear the WHF Committee,
Given the earthquake that happened in January 21, 2013, we hereby declare we will be respectfully withdrawing from the World Hit Festival XII held at Ceso, Folkand. And that is final, and nothing can change it. Good day to you sir!
Sincerely,
Matthias van Brandt, president of Grotebergse Omroep Stichting.

15. Bloodbath Generation
Brenna's Song-Ariana Paramas
to the tune of Jesse y Joy-Corre

Ariana was all warmed up backstage. "The streak of bad Bloodbathian results is about to end," she thought. She put on her makeup, fixed her mic, and with a bit of magic and kisses from family and her boyfriend, she went on stage. Achilles Arena was all hers.

Ariana was alone on stage, sitting with a see-through piano. The stage was all black, with a single spotlight shining on Ariana in the middle of the small stage. She began to play the beginning notes, a chain of sad and sentimental notes. Then, spotlight still on her and her alone, she started the song:

Walking into the school doors,
the mask is on,
the pain is off.
Nobody knows what or why
she's not acting like herself today.

Ariana takes a deep breath, and continues to sing, an unseen guitarist joining in as her voice filling the arena more and more:

Ooo....ooo...
Broken,
her fragile state of mind tearing her apart and
ooo....ooo..
now I know,

Another deep breath, and obviously getting emotional, sings the melody, all in Bloodbathian:

Hasha vraki, vraki, vraki, vravimog. (Silent screams, screams, screams, screams ceased)
Ago ime fukdi ma precio. (This precious life has come to an end)
Hasha gosho, gosho, gosho imucra. (Silent pains, pains, pains, pains hidden and ignored)
Siste biya, ti hasen brey, (Day after day, chipped away)
a ti wos crimbos. (Now the wall has crumbled for good)
Hasha vraki, vraki, saunu ma porshugu. (Silent screams, screams, shut off by one simple action)
Un wirden fasho, sunlikten nivorisyet, ariko. (Swallowed them all, the sun has set, now she's gone)

The piano part from beginning is repeated, with drums joining in, creating an empowering pop-ballad beat. Ariana takes off the mic from the piano and attaches it to a stand. The lights turn an optimistic sunrise pink and yellow, and the stage is in full view. 3 women seemingly floating in the air with their hair over their faces now flip their hair back, now looking like this, letting down "drops of sunlight" (colored water) from their hair, creating an almost heavenly scene. A bust of light flashes on the background screen, and sets the mood. Ariana continues the song back in English:

Her parents always told her
she was a mistake, not meant to be, not meant to be.
She set off to prove them wrong, determined to do something
to put her on the map,
finally able to being free.

She sang the next lines again very optimistically:

Ooo....ooo...
50 long miles of toil and heartbreak,
Ooo...ooo...
But off she went.

Now the melody is back, but the tone is less sad and more hopeful. The dancers, still floating effortlessly in the air, begin to do synchronized arm movements, as if to welcome someone back home, above the stage.

Nekho gori gori gori shivakyo, (There she goes, goes, goes on her own)
asi megu ander jernen ishlugo. (She's free like she wanted but unsatisfied)
Nekho seblo seblo seblo nakreneda, (There flies flies flies her hopes and cares)
asi cosin, asi makhi, (You tried, you wished)
corginove. (And it all worked out)

4 big, loud drum beats sound, and Ariana runs back to the piano, smiling. She begins to play a string of happy, joyous notes, and the beat is loud and powerful. The audience starts clapping and stomping along. On the screen, a girl was seen running in a black and white environment, but as the piano got louder and Ariana's smile grew bigger, the girl began to leave behind a trail of colorful smoke as she ran, turning the depressing area around her into a colorful utopia. The indie-style drums and upbeat electronic sounds continued, but then they all stopped abruptly. Ariana turned around from her seat and sang:

17.Suyeshyia
Göksu Koç-Királas
Váltás bu Dünýä

To the Tune of Lerika - Sensatsiya

Göksu was just 15, barely old enough to compete for Suyeshyia by domestic law, fortunately, her birthday was within the calender year, making her eligible. She was from a small city in central Suyeshyia called Iaombeth, known for its traditional values, and the ancient heart of the Suyeshyian faith. Her song, written by both herself and one of the council elders (in charge of culture). The preservation of the natural world is of paramount importance to most Suyeshyians and this song reflects the average Suyehsyian mindset, which is something unique and special.

As the music starts, it gradually gets louder and louder, and with each rise of the volume, each of the "toes" pulsates with them in a light, soft white. Göksu is on the "heel" podium, and from the get-go, she can be seen to be wearing this. The dancers, 4 girls, were each dressed to represent an element, wind, fire, water and earth. With a steely look down the camera, she begins her song.

Garanjaklamak name bu gök, bu agaç, bu ot, bu suw
Ahli bu elementot kä etmek şu dünýä, zarbykmak
Tõle függ, we çemen, vált bu dünýä

Starting the chorus, she begins to move around the podium, as the dancers all begin to move in harmony, strong like the immovable earth, stomping while moving their arms freely like the branches of a tree. Spinning around, Göksu turned around again to look at the camera.

Sen we men, biz tüňňün váltás bu dünýä
Biz tüňňün vág bu ýer ykbal
Bu ülke, ol agy, az van ürgün
Weli biz tüňňün váltás ahli kä
Sen we men, biz tüňňün váltás bu dünýä
Biz tüňňün vág bu ýer ykbal
Bu ot ol gürrüldemek
Weli biz tüňňün váltás ahli kä
Váltás bu Dünýä

Coming down from the podium and onto the flat part of the stage, the dancers begin to dash around Göksu, representing the wind, their arms flailing softly but in no apparent direction, making it somewhat more beautiful.

Az van bizing borç goramak name biz mond jut
Biz bölünmez eşret ol, biz bölünmez dalda
Tõle függ, we çemen, vált bu dünýä

As the chorus began, the dancers dropped to the floor and swayed their arms like the waves in the ocean. They began to circle Göksu while moving up and down, before trailing off behind her.

Sen we men, biz tüňňün váltás bu dünýä
Biz tüňňün vág bu ýer ykbal
Bu ülke, ol agy, az van ürgün
Weli biz tüňňün váltás ahli kä
Sen we men, biz tüňňün váltás bu dünýä
Biz tüňňün vág bu ýer ykbal
Bu ot ol gürrüldemek
Weli biz tüňňün váltás ahli kä
Váltás bu Dünýä

As she finished the chorus, the same steely look came back into her eyes and shot down the camera, the dancers in the background began to shimmer like the flames of a kindled ember.

Wooaahhh-Yeah
Tõle függ, we çemen, vált bu dünýä

Sen we men, biz tüňňün váltás bu dünýä
Biz tüňňün vág bu ýer ykbal
Bu ülke, ol agy, az van ürgün
Weli biz tüňňün váltás ahli kä
Sen we men, biz tüňňün váltás bu dünýä
Biz tüňňün vág bu ýer ykbal
Bu ot ol gürrüldemek
Weli biz tüňňün váltás ahli kä
Váltás bu Dünýä!

Finishing on a high, she held her hand with her microphone up before looking back: "Spasiba bary! Spasiba dünýä!".

Look around at the sky, the trees, the fire, the water
All the elements that make this world, are being endangered
It's up to you, and me, to change the world

You and I, we can change the world
We can carve the earth's destiny
The land, it cries out, it is dry
But we can change all that
You and I, we can change the world
We can carve the earth's destiny
The fire it roars
But we can change all that
Change the world

It is our duty to protect what we've got
We shall comfort it, we shall help
It's up to you, and me, to change the world

You and I, we can change the world
We can carve the earth's destiny
The land, it cries out, it is dry
But we can change all that
You and I, we can change the world
We can carve the earth's destiny
The fire it roars
But we can change all that
Change the world

It's up to you, and me, to change the world

You and I, we can change the world
We can carve the earth's destiny
The land, it cries out, it is dry
But we can change all that
You and I, we can change the world
We can carve the earth's destiny
The fire it roars
But we can change all that
Change the world

18. Hafamarimyht
SONG: Teardrop
ARTIST: Teardrop
tune: Hazel (Peel Sessions) by Cocteau Twins

Teardrop is one of the most well-respected and highest selling bands in Hafamarimyht. Even though they are young (the oldest member, the guitarist, is 24), they have been major players in the Hafamari music scene for five years. The singer, Mezy Vnycan, stands center. The male vocalist and guitarist, Syt Nićyg stands to her left, slightly behind her, and the bassist Dyny Jamë stands to Mezy's right, level with Syt. A bright white light flashes with the 'kick' drum.

O somujan
Lusa sadu
Duilr sa
E ha'at oi
Oh, my lover
Come to me
Touch me
I need you

Teardrops, teardrops, teardrops, teardrops
They fall, they fall, they fall, they fall

I'm on my own
You've gone away
I've fought my way, ah
You won't claim me

Mezy moves her body as though it's liquid. Syt approaches a microphone and whispers, then screams his words. The lights all shine an incredible red.

Falling teardrops
Falling teardrops

The lights go back to normal. Syt goes back to concentrating on his guitar and Mezy stops moving her body. Syt only looks up when he sings, indicated by parentheses.

Teardrops, teardrops, teardrops, teardrops
(Falling teardrops)
They fall, they fall, they fall, they fall
(Falling teardrops)

Teardrops, teardrops, teardrops, teardrops
(Falling teardrops)
They fall, they fall, they fall, they fall

The lights go back to how they were to begin with. Mezy has become much more intense, staring directly at the camera for the next verse.

And why not now
You know I'm weak
(Falling teardrops)
You'd leave me, oh
So why not now

A spotlight focuses on Syt.

(Falling teardrops)
(You're crying)
(Fad tëdu) [I want to die]
(Falling teardrops)

The spotlight on him goes out, and a red wash illuminates the stage and the audience.

Don't think I'm giving up
I'm here to stay
I wanted you
I know I was a fool

Teardrops, teardrops, teardrops, teardrops
(Falling teardrops)
They fall, they fall, they fall, they fall

Teardrops, teardrops, teardrops, teardrops
They fall, they fall, they fall, they fall
(Falling teardrops)

I said I'm giving up
But not for you
I give up
Can't do this anymore

The lights go out on Mezy. Dyny still plucks away on the bass, intense, but never looking up. Syt stomps his foot with the beginning of every downbeat, and slowly moves his arms in a hypnotizing fashion, now that he's done playing the guitar.

(Falling teardrops)
(o bma'yca) [Oh, please]
(I need you)
(Near me)

(Falling teardrops)
(I'll pay for it)
(Pay for it)

(Falling teardrops)
(And I need you)

(Falling teardrops)

The drum machine fades as a white top light washes over the band; they sway in place, gently yet with a definite, quick movement on every downbeat.

Commentary for the 11th World Hit Festival presented by NWTV1

Commentators:
-Kellen Walsh
-Annika X
-Max Brookwell

Kellen: Good evening New Warwick, and welcome to Ceso! I'm not too sure what country we're in, since Folkand won the 10th World Hit Festival and then kind of fell apart...something about the Folkandish District in amongst a whole bunch of Former Folkandish Republics, or something. Anyway, Ceso is the host city for the 11th World Hit Festival, and – in a first for NWTV and for most countries involved in these things – I will be presenting tonight alone. Just me and my thoughts, no input from anyone else, just me talking to you. Oh, also I guess Annika X and Max Brookwell will be making words with their mouths too, but don't pay any attention to them.
Annika: Rude.
Kellen: Yes, that's right, you all remember Annika X from last year's WorldVision Song Contest! She brought us our best result ever, so well done.
Annika: Thanks.
Kellen: She also joined me in commenting on the WorldVision 23 and the 9th World Hit Fest, and she already had a pretty decent musical career, so maybe you remember her for those things.
Annika: Probably not. Nice to meet you! And it's my pleasure to introduce you all to a new friend of mine who you might remember from this year's WorldVision – it's Max Brookwell!
Max: I thought you were never going to get to me.
Annika: Yeah, so, there's three of us this time, no idea if this will actually work or not, but I guess the people behind NWTV are just as stupid as we are.
Max: So, like Kellen said, we're broadcasting live tonight from the Achilles Arena in Ceso, a lovely city full of lovely people. I was really impressed by their transportation.
Kellen: No one cares about that.
Max: I know, I was just geeking out.
Annika: Speaking of geeking out, technology! It's so nerdy, right? But that's how you're going to have to vote tonight, just like every other show NWTV has ever broadcast, so shut up.
Max: To vote, call  0450-6552-XX, where XX is the draw number.
Annika: Or you can text the draw number to 65520. Remember you can't vote for New Warwick, even though we'll clearly be the best thing you see tonight.
Max: And don't worry if you don't remember this information. It'll be shown on-screen before, in the middle of, and at the end of each performance.
Kellen: You're talking too much! So let's get started with the show! Our opening act is performed by Sabina Bojanovic and the Natives, and I find it quite lovely.

[OPENING ACT and HOST INTERVENTION]

Annika: Let's drink to Folkand and the 11th World Hit Festival!
Max: Yeah!
Kellen: Hear, hear!

[01. KISHRAEL]

Annika: That reminded me kind of of the 90's, but also really modern.
Max: I'm a huge fan of the music, though the performance was a little lackluster.
Kellen: I'm going to agree with both of you, and speculate that the tribalesque elements will cause it to fare well with the Folkandish nations.
Max: Ooh, you have a point.
Annika: Let's point out that this is also a debut, too.
Max: And a really great one.
Kellen: Yeah, I think this has a chance to win tonight, though it's a lot harder to predict World Hit Fest results, since only five countries get points.
Annika: And it's a little early for that. This is the first song.
Kellen: I watched the rehearsals, though.
Max: Oh god, really? That takes so much fun out of it.
Kellen: I like to be prepared.
Annika: Why?
Max: Are you pretending like this is supposed to be professional and serious? This is the World Hit Festival.
Kellen: Which most Warwickians consider to be more serious than WorldVision.
Max: Well yeah, but...
Annika: I mean, it's still an international pop music festival.
Kellen: Before any of us get carried away, it's time for the second act, not that anyone really cares – we could probably talk through this whole thing because it's Lymantatia, so.
(Max and Annika groan loudly)

[02. LYMANTATIA]

Max: No.
Annika: No.
Max: No.
Annika: No.
Max: No.
Kellen: No.
Annika: No.
Max: No.
Annika: No.
Kellen: No.
Max: No.
Annika: No.
Kellen: No.
Max: No.
Kellen: No.
Annika: No.
Max: NEXT.

[03. POLKOPIA]

Kellen: Got a little bit repetitive towards the end, but wow, that voice.
Max: And so damn catchy! With the obvious exception, these first entries have been awesome.
Annika: I thought this one was weaker lyrically.
Max: I'd probably agree, though the melody was stronger.
Kellen: I like everything! Except Lymantatia.
Annika: Really though, I think this one has a strong chance to win.
Max: I guess we'll wait and see. This is why I've always liked World Hit Fest better – the entries have been stronger, melodically, lyrically, performance-wise...except now we've got Lymantatia invading, it's probably going to shit really any time now.
Annika: Well, as long as we're swearing this early in the broadcast.
Kellen: He has a point though.
Max: Seriously.
Annika: No, it's true. And our next entry comes from Anollasia!

[04. ANOLLASIA]

Kellen: There's that old Anollasian bait-and-switch! Half the song is kind of mopey and sad, then BAM, suddenly it's happy with no real explanation.
Annika: And it might just be me, but I can't really remember the melody.
Max: Me neither, though I do appreciate the musicianship.
Annika: The lyrics weren't terrible, but they also weren't the strongest tonight. Kind of middle ground, I'd say. Next we have Blancham debuting!
Kellen: This nation has history with Communist Quinntopia, our hosts for the last WorldVision...though not really good history.
Max: I'm not sure whether to call this a joke or not, but it's definitely not serious.
Annika: It's...”cute......”
Max: Such disdain.
Annika: Well I mean.
Kellen: It's not that bad.
Max: No, it is, I agree with Annika.
Kellen: But grandmas!
Max: It's weird to see you stick up for people in music who aren't in their early twenties.
Kellen: I know, but I don't take this seriously.
Annika: Yeah, which wouldn't be a problem if this were WorldVision.
Kellen: What?
Max: This is World Hit Fest! It's supposed to be more serious than WorldVision...but I guess not anymore.
Kellen: Get over it, because here's the Blancium Biddies!

[05. BLANCHAM]

Max: Okay, I take it back, that was damn fun.
Annika: I've never seen grannies groove so much!
Kellen: I told you.
Max: I might just have to vote for a not-serious entry tonight.
Kellen: Don't speak too soon, because up next we have a lovely little number from Venasta.

[06. VENASTA]

Annika: You know, it says a lot about how strong this competition has been that this is the least impressive entry so far, Lymantatia obviously notwithstanding, because that was still really great.
Max: Totally. This is a really strong contest this year, and I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with nul points. You know, especially since the only thing that saved us from that last year was Brulicsa, and they're not even participating this time.
Kellen: Well, Hafamarimyht is, but I agree. This song was absolutely fantastic, but yeah, I'd say this is the least impressive thing we've seen so far.
Annika: Except Lymantatia because they suck.
Kellen: I took that for granted, and I think from now on we should pretend they don't exist. You know, all our commentary should compare the songs against each other except for Lymantatia, because honestly they'll never stack up.
Max: So it's agreed then.
Kellen: Yes.
Annika: Okay, so up next is...us! Wish Sara luck, because I've been there and it's scary as hell, but also really fun, so be jealous and not jealous at the same time.
Max: This is definitely a lot different than anything we've ever sent, and I think it's a really brilliant song, but we'll see if the world agrees during voting, I suppose.
Kellen: Here we go. Black Daisy, good luck!

[07. NEW WARWICK]

Max: Nailed it.
Annika: She did so well. So, so well. Congrats, Sara!
Kellen: Definitely not like anything else tonight.
Max: Well, that's the true taste of New Warwick coming out, I guess.
Annika: Definitely much more accurate a representation than my song.
Kellen: We liked your song, too!
Annika: Not as much as this one, and I'm aware of that, and that's fine.
Max: So, next we have Calimera, who usually send strong entries.
Annika: Yeah, and I heard Nazareno got to be pretty good friends with Sara Bloom.
Kellen: Ooh, gossip!
Max: So, hopefully this one lives up to the standard Calimera set in WorldVision, because damn I'm still in love with that melody.

[08. CALIMERA]

Annika: Oh god, that was so lovely.
Max: Seriously a strong field here in Ceso. I don't know how many times you're allowed to cast a vote but I'm pretty sure I've voted for almost every entry so far tonight.
Kellen: “You're only satisfied when you aren't” is one of the most perfect lyrics of all time and I'm sure that will resonate so truly with voters tonight.
(silence)
Max: Yeah, I mean, I have nothing else to say after that either.
Annika: So let's move on, I guess. Our next entry is coming from Fromulya.

[09. FROMULYA]

Annika: Didn't do it for me.
Max: No, I mean, I think I get what it's trying to do.
Kellen: CHILDREN. IN MUSIC. WHY.
Max: But yeah, of the non-serious entries tonight, that's not my favorite.
Annika: Yeah, it just...I don't know, I just was not impressed.
Kellen: CHILDREN SHOULD NOT SING
Max: Yeah, I won't be casting a vote for this one, though I hope it gets points. It deserves it much more than The-Country-That-Must-Not-Be-Named, and also The Ultimate Evil.
Annika: Our next entry comes from the host, I guess, or like one of the hosts, or something?
Max: It's the Former Folkandish Republic of Saintrabina, so...yeah.

[10. F.F.R. SAINTRABINA]

Annika: What's her sixth sense?
Max: I think it's a metaphor.
Kellen: I danced.
Annika: For what?
Max: I'm not sure, I didn't really get it either.
Kellen: Because the music was pretty good.
Annika: I don't think it worked, but I liked the chorus.
Max: Me too, though I'm willing to bet another former Folkandish republic will offer something better.
Kellen: Yeah, maybe next time there shouldn't be three commentators because two of us will have a conversation and leave the third out, and all the third will have to say are one-liners that get ignored. What was NWTV thinking?
Max: Who knows what they were thinking then, but we know what they were thinking now – it's time for a commercial!
Kellen: Hey, that's my job, silly fool!
Max: We'll be right back.

JP: Glad to be here! The first act tonight is from Kishrael.

Lymantatia performs

YT: flow420 says "That was some whack"
