Comrade Commisar wrote:"Such is the actions of a dictator, Oriental man, although I suppose that the blood of the mentality unstable Japanese Dystopia runs through you." Admiral Sharpe stated, "Let us see here, you are going to burn documents in order to intimidate the Scarlet Guard and to force them out of the city, you have successfully cleared the City Council so that you may maintain absolute rule, you are withholding the reasoning of war as to maintain your control, and this all done without the concensus of the peoples of Litlin? Mmm, pardon me, but this sounds quite incredibly suspicious of a tyrant - the likes of which the civilized forces of the Commonwealth are here to prevent."
"With all the infinite wisdom of the world upon your soldiers, Oriental, I ask of you but one thing; how did a rodent get within the manor and infect Lady Red with plague?"
Many of the Scarlet Guard and Turtleshroomers muttered amongst themselves as they wondered the same thing.
"With all the horrid accusations that you have made upon this fine night, I suppose you would know about the whereabouts of such a pest as well, hm?" Sharpe played his checkmate, "There are no rodents within this walled City of Litlin, and as you know, all goods are thoroughly inspected as the walls for contraband as under Turtleshroomian law. Even if, under the slightest possibility there was but a single rat in Litlin, we are within the middle of the sodding desert hundreds of miles away from jungle, swamp, and any other location for disease. Now, I may be rattling sabers here, but alas, you cannot deny that such a plague rat must have had some human involvement, aye?"
"Surely, if the Turtleshroomian peoples are not to blame for this act of aggression against the Commonwealth, you can certainly come up with some other possible explaination as to why Lady Red was inflicted with plague, can you not?" Sharpe smiled victoriously, "Unless, you cannot..."
Sharpe grinned, awaiting the inquiries of the Almagated Chairman on the matter.[/size]
Cephas had the upper hand until here, and yes, ethnic GEIJD were notorious for being more suspectible than other humans for mental illness. Cephas himself was never fully stable, after all. He dropped the lantern as Sharpe ended his accusation.
"I... I..." he lowered his arms as his hands trembled slightly. Placing the contract back in his robes, he handed the lantern to a plague doctor.
"You're right. You're absolutely right. There's no way that rat could have got in. We didn't plant it, and despite what I think of you, your respected troops didn't do it. It had to be planted, but by whom? Only mob syndicates ever sneak in here. I must further my investigation to the matter."
The sun rose over the eastern sky as the breaking of dawn fittingly lit the grounds of Eagles Estate before the newly promoted Admiral.
"I have no further charges against you, Whitey." he said with a slight sneer. "Just don't mess with my city."
The Khek stepped aside and allowed Cephas to leave as the Scarlet Gaurdsmen cheered and hollered for their hero. Plague doctors and officials, meanwhile, scurried in and out of the estate.

APRIL 10th, 2013 AD
"How is she doing, Doctor?"
"Lady Red is in stable condition. We administered the treatments in time enough to cease the pathogen from overwhelming her weeks ago. It's been a long, painful process with many buboes and even more coughing of blood, just to name the first classic symptoms. She was hit with the might of feudal Europe and pulled through. What a remarkable, lovely woman.
She will make a full and complete recovery!"
The inquirer, the same mushroom that had tended to Lady Red and had discovered the plague infection, smiled as he looked to Lady Red, who nodded and thanked the plague doctor, who smiled underneath all his heavy robes, hazmat protection, and bird mask.
"Miss," the plague doctor added, "You are truly blessed by the Lord to make such a complete recovery. You aren't even crippled. You've dodged a bullet. Truly, God= the Great Physician -wanted to keep you on this earth, and I bet it's all that charity you're doing that may have given Him incentive. Good job; you're a hero of the people."
Lady Red had been used to being in bed by this time, and had begun to undergo rehab to regain her strength from being bedridden for weeks. She was making progress and became able to sit up and walk short distances, though tubes still had to help her when nature called because she couldn't make it.
The Aashinian noble never actually turned purple (the traditionally deadly finale of the disease) and managed to break her one hundred four degree fever in late Februrary, having contracted the disease at month's beginning. Since the plague normally killed in days, this long recovery was seen as miraculous.
"You should be totally plague free and back to normal by May. Today's rehab will begin as soon as you find the strength to walk and once the buboes in your thighs' lymph nodes subside. You'll need to regain your strength, so let's start with our daily excercises. Please, sit up..."
{OOC: CC, this is where we begin the new arcs, including but not limited to everything in the RMB, from the hooks to the Sentinels to the murdered Fire Marshall to everything else. Make sure to link to the RMB posts, as I will do likewise!
This will have you narrate twenty days using RMB posts and beginning exactly in the present time. By May, Lady Red would be cured and walking with a cane, healthy enough to go about herself. That is when the tarp will be lifted and the fun part begin as Eagles Estate is emptied...}
