Chaos in Southern Flegavia causes duel. All the FNU (Euskirribakondara, Artsakhestan, Monlyuxeburga, etc.) suspends international participations in memoriam.

SEPTEMBER 29, 2012; SOUTHERN FLEGAVIA (EUSK1/NEWS) - The afternoon of the 29th September was a beautiful moment in the Southern Flegavian Coast. The beaches of The Island of Aho were very sunny, as well as those of Valdaranes and Euskirribakondara. And suddenly, the Koloheki Fault (a geological formation in the Southern Flegavian Plate) decided it was not meant to be a good day. A massive undersea megathrust earthquake with a magnitude of 9.1 (Mw) off the Ahoan coast occurred at 17:50.00, local time. The epicenter was located 200 kilometers from the Ahoan Coast (or 120 kilometers from the Kupu Isle) at an underwater depth of 40 kilometers. It now stands as the most powerful earthquake to have ever struck the Flegavian continent. Euskirribakondaran officials estimate it has shifted the Earth on its axis by 12 centimeters, thus affecting the length of a day.

It lasted five minutes and the closest city to the epicenter was Tehelari (or Thelissari, in Greek), the capital of The Island of Aho, located 215 kilometers away from the epicenter. The HARRO system, an Earthquake Early Warning system sent out warnings all over the continent, but specially to the Southern Flegavian Coast. Thus, it was known there would be an earthquake, 8 seconds before it was actually felt in Mainland Flegavia; and a minute before it was felt in Harrikes and Stepanarvashat, the Euskal and Artsakhiani capital cities. Its surface energy of 1.9 ± 0.5×1017 joules, if harnessed, could power a city the size of Harrikes (22 million) for six entire months.

All the cities began being evacuated in the Southern Flegavian Coast, but the warnings unfortunately did not reach some Ahoan villages, given the little efficiency of the Ahoan de facto government; a tsunami would come. In fact, 30 minutes later, the first Tsunami wave reached the beaches of Tehelari, with a height of 20 meters. It is already known that the highest wave reached 40 meters, in the region of Kapalepule, eastern Aho. In Valdaranes, the waves reached 15 meters; and in Euskirribakondara, about 10 meters. It is known too that a wave of 2 meters went up the Mikunan River and reached the city of Tikuna, future host of the 10th World Hit Festival. Smaller waves reached the Fromulyan Archipelago some hours later; and right now (17 hours later) waves of 2 meters are reaching Sakhovelo in Esportiva.

The most affected country is the Island of Aho, where almost 60% of the country is now debris, and mostly washed away by the subsequent tsunami. The above images show the city of Tehelari, with the caused destruction. So far, it is unknown what happened to the Kupu Isle (the closest inhabited point to the epicenter), but the predictions are not positive: the island highest point has 40 meters; and the tsunami waves there might have reached 45 or 50 meters. The 400 inhabitants of the island, plus the 35 tourists are still missing.

As a result, the whole FNU (Flegavian Nations Union), comprised by Euskirribakondara, Artsakhestan, Rio de Fevereiro, Monlyuxeburga, Free Lands Center, The Island of Aho, Hirotoshan, Valdaranes, Le Amarok, Puerto Candelaria; has decided to suspend international events for 5 days; affecting the participation of Euskirribakondara and Artsakhestan in WorldVision, for example.

The damage in the nearby country, Puerto Candelaria, is still unknown, as the Catholic authorities that govern the country think it was a catastrophe sent by God to correct all Candelarian mistakes. As such, they have declined to give any data; but scientists predict as much damage (if not even worse) as in the Island of Aho. The number of deaths or injured is still unknown in those two countries; but it is 0 in Euskirribakondara and Valdaranes, except for some minor injuries caused by chaos.

Massive response from all over the world to the Flegavian disaster.

Concert in Springfield, the Crolacian capital

OCTOBER 6, 2012; ALL OVER THE WORLD (EUSK1/NEWS) - After the destructive earthquake and tsunami that devastated Southern Flegavia, the quick response from other nations was heard. In Flegavia, Folkand ordered 3 days of national mourning in solidarity with Euskirribakondara, Artsakhestan and the rest of the Flegavia "that suffers because of this misfortune". In Québec, also three days of nationwide mourning were held. From the Federation of Democratic Republics, Kingsley Bedford offered medical aid supplies, food, water and materials to help reconstruction of infrastructure. The government itself, also sent a donation of 2 million Kingfordian Drams (3 million NS$).

And last night, an in memoriam concert for Southern Flegavia was held in Crolacia's capital, Springfield. The Crolacian press declared:

"the countries affected by it are heavily damaged and Crolacia decided to hold a in memoriam concert for all killed and all damaged"

The concert lasted for three hours, with many famous Crolacian artists performing, such as Erina Garlan, Jella, Leticia Rushden, Nitta and others. Telephone lines were opened during the concert to raise money and send it to the damaged nations. Crolacians have proved they have a big heart; as they raised 12 million NS$ in one evening! The phones were ringing for the whole night and the atmosphere at the concert was really heart-touching. Crolacian government decided to send additional 30 million NS$ to the damaged nations. So, Crolacia sent around 42 million NS$ to all nations damaged in the shocking earthquake.

On the other hand, Euskirribakondara has completed the reconstruction of all the damage in its territories (including the Valdaranean Colony); and now all the aid is being directed to the Island of Aho and Puerto Candelaria. 28 million Diner di Solèr (40 million NS$) have been donated to both nations (75% for Aho, 25% for Puerto Candelaria) and the Euskirribakondaran Emergency Services have travelled to the Ahoan coast to help in rescue missions. Rio de Fevereiro has already reported there's no major damage on its coasts, and has announced that 1 million NS$ will be donated.

In the Island of Aho, 435 deaths have been announced, all of them coming from Kupu Isle (closest point to the epicenter). Every trace of human life has been washed away, and the isle is now a rock with sand and broken trees in the middle of nowhere. A further number of 20,000 missing people is reported in the main Island. In Puerto Candelaria, 30,000 people died, and a large public mass is being held by the Catholic governing authorities of the country. Tehelari/Thelissari, the capital of the Island of Aho, has been declared uninhabitable.

"The Awakening of Nation" starts in Folkand.

Unrest in Nerobrachlesh, one of the Folkandish cities

OCTOBER 29, 2012; CESO, FOLKAND (EUSK1/NEWS) - Right after the treaty in Oleuz (through which Christarnea became independent), the rest of the Folkandish Republics rebelled against the sovereignty of Nastaz Edouard II Bojanovic. The war has now been called "The Awakening of Nations", and the F.F.R. of Christarnea is assisting the insurgent forces; whilst forces from Deblinian Masovia are assisting the Folkandish Army. Insurgents have already suffered many victories during the war but they will need assistance from other countries of Flegavia to succeed. The Royal Kingdom of Québec has decided to support the Folkandish Monarchist Government so far. Euskirribakondara, on the other hand, decided to stay neutral and send humanitarian aid to both sides, to protect the civilians who are not making part of the military conflict itself.

In the morning, the fights in southern Rusmailica have made lots of successes for rebeliants from this part of Folkand. Rusmailican opposition has won the battles in Armevan and Latiga that forced Nastaz Edouard II Bojanovic to sign the treaty of the independence of the next Folkandish republic - Rusmailica, that has to function on the international area as the Former Folkandish Republic of Rusmailica (F.F.R. Rusmailica). However, the king of Folkand set a condition to Rusmailica that it can't support the insurgents from Machataica, Lapratory and Saintrabina. Rusmalica can only send the humanitarian aid to the victims of the war.

But in the Naval Front, Nastaz Edouard II Bojanovic crushed the rebeliant's forces in several sea battles, right before dying in the battle of Mastodonta in the hands of the Saintrabinian squad, leaded by Anastazi Quertoupia. Bojanovic's son - Albin Hekkat I Bojanovic has taken the throne and started the fight in the central part of Saintrabina. The rebeliants invaded Nerobrachlesh but Albin's army with Deblinian and Québec's assistance liberated the capital of Saintrabina. Later today, Fusha Me-Bar declared that it is on the side of Albin Hekkat I Bojanovic. Fusha Me-Bar will give Folkand use of its air bases as well as financial aid in the form of 550,000 Monedhë (Around €620,000). Furthermore, Fusha Me-Bar has stopped exporting to the regions of Rusmailica & Christarnea.

Almost around the same time, Serzchepha and Euskirribakondara officially recognized not only the already independent F.F.R.s of Christarnea and Rusmailica, but also the regions of Machataica, Lapratory and Saintrabina. The Federal Republic of Serzchepha donated a sum of 500,000 Lishevas to Christarnea to help the peoples of the former Folkandish Empire gain their freedom. Euskirribakondara has send humanitarian aid to the rebels side; and Valdaranes has send different contingents to protect civilians in the rebels' side (the Euskal law prohibits the involvement of the proper Euskirribakondaran Army in international conflicts).

The latest update on this event is that the Québécois Government has dispatched 175 000 soldiers, 75 battleships and 437 fighters, trained as Special Forces, to battle the insurgents in Saintrabina and Lapratory.

Folkand no longer a union of republics.

OCTOBER 31, 2012; ETHERLOITZLE, LAPRATORY (EUSK1/NEWS) - The Lapratorian rebels won yesterday the battle in Hromoreves, therefore, Deblinian Masovia has cut off its aid to the Folkandish Monarchy (and is now supporting the rebels). The de facto Lapratorian government has also declared its gratefulness to Euskirribakondara and Serzchepha. With the new situation, the Lapratorian opposition tried to negotiate withthe Folkandish king and consider the conditions of Lapratorian independence.

Thus, Lapratory and Albin Hekkat I Bojanovic signed today the treaty that made Lapratory an independent republic. As in the case of Rusmalica Albin put a condition that Lapratory couldn't help the rebels in Saintrabina and Machataica. However Lapratorian service could bring humanitarian aid to the victims of war. This condition didn't helped Albin because of Deblinian army's attack on Ceso. The capital city of Folkand became besieged and Albin was forced to leave the country. This event will, from now on, be called the "Deblinian Expulsion".

The agreement in Ceso has officially ended the Folkandish War and constituted that all the former Folkandish republics are independent countries (however the rule about including the term F.F.R. (Former Folkandish Republic) in the official name of the nations, stays binding, as a hommage to Folkand's history). The sides have established also that the Folkandish District (Halbia Island with Ceso) becomes the Dependent District of Folkand; and it will be ruled by a special Parliament including representatives from five former Folkandish republics.

LATEST UPDATE: The Concert of Beneke extends its wishes of good will toward the newly independent nations and sends 10,000 barrels of its signature lager beer to each nation to celebrate the end of the war. (Benekian Lager Beer... Getting every Flegavian drunk since 1267.)

Tension rising in Northwestern Flegavia.

NOVEMBER 18, 2012; FUSHA ME-LULE, FUSHA ME-BAR (EUSK1/NEWS) - Fusha Me-Bar is from now officially known as the "The Shqiptar Aleanca of Fusha Me-Bar" due to the knew formation of the country. Under the new shake up, each region of Fusha Me-Bar is governed separately by a Zgjedhur Udhëheqës who responds to an elected Kryeministri. The newly elected Kryeministri is Bashkim Flamutartam, a slightly right-wing militaristic leader. He intends to expand Fusha Me-Barian influence through the acquisition of land in the North, East and possibly the South if the talks with Queen Hajitana break down.

In his first foreign policy speech, read yesterday, he made it clear that he intended to expand territory to the North as far as Melbacia City and Southern Le Amarok. He also requested the assistance of Euskirribakondara, Folkand and Gaituzstha in his objectives of expansion, and promptly flew of to Gaituzstha to begin making arrangements. The Fusha Me-Barian military is currently training and increasing in number, with many new weapons being manufactured.

The Melbacian government has declared it is:

... unhappy listening to Bashkim Flamutartam from Fusha Me-Bar. We see it as a big threat to our national security and we now give orders to set troops through the Melbacian-Fusha Me-Barian border.

Prime Minister Adam Hakksen is flying to Euskirribakondara to urge them not to help Fusha Me Bar. He also sends a letter to Fusha Me-Bar expressing his disgust towards it and condemns their actions. His Royal Majesty, the King of Crolacia and Melbacia, Albert III has requested an official visit to Phoenigetuzstha to discuss these events with them.

In Harrikes, Harrika Dago I has announced that there won't be any help to either Melbacia and Fusha Me-Bar more than the humanitarian aid to civilians, in case any of them is harmed. He urges both nations to find a diplomatic solution to their problem. Bübüneño Hartá, Ministry of Defense, has reminded Fusha Me-Barians that a 4000 mts high cordillera acts as border between them and Euskirribakondara. The press has noticed this is done to stop them from any military action on the Harrikía.

Flegavian Geography and History will see a milestone soon, says EGII.

NOVEMBER 18, 2012; HARRIKES, EUSKIRRIBAKONDARA (EUSK1/NEWS) - The EGII (Euskirribakondararen Geografiako eta Istorioko Institutua, Euskirribakondaran Geography and History Institute) have announced that the "Flegavian Geography and History will see a milestone soon". A project called "Oroipena Ta Paisaia" (Memory and Landscape) has been launched, and its first results just came out: Qeekallit Nunaat has 71250 square kilometers of area. The project, to be completed by May 2013, will finally reveal the whole geography and history of the Flegavian Region, from the first traces of life. Two teams will work together: History and Geography. One will be in charge of recopilating all the historic documentation and sources of Flegavia, and organizing it; whilst the other one will, with the help of the most advance technology, create new maps and recopilate new data about the region's geography.

Irina Ter-Bedrossian, director of the EGII, declared:

Such a project has never been made in Flegavia. The only precedent was the "Kodazi Exploration" held back in 1802. Since then, we have no true information about our region's Geography or History, and that is very important for the future of us. The project is fully funded by the FNU and the Euskirribakondaran Government itself; and we'll unveil the results progressively from now on, until May 2013.

Any Social Studies specialist (Anthropologists, Archaeologists, Historians, Geographers, Geologists, Paleonthologists, etc.) from any Flegavian nation can participate in the project, but until now, the team is just integrated by professionals from Euskirribakondara, Artsakhestan and Rio de Fevereiro.

Folkand takes first win in the World Hit Festival. Euskirribakondara completes the top 2 for Flegavia.

Sabina Bojanovic, WHF10 winner

NOVEMBER 18, 2012; TIKUNA, EUSKIRRIBAKONDARA (EUSK1/NEWS) - After a very exciting night, Sabina Bojanovic (Featuring "The Natives") won the 10th World Hit Festival, representing Folkand, with the song "Avrihe" (Africa). It's the first time a dubstep song wins the contest, though it also includes electronic and folk. Hear the tune here! It is part of her album "Natura", and its lyrics (in Saintrabinian and Polish languages) talk about the African continent. The song came 1st with 43 points coming from 12 different voters. Closely behind was Euskirribakondara with 42 points from 13 voters; and Crolacia with 40 points from 12 voters. As such, the top 2 was integrated by Flegavian nations. Sabina is the fourth Folkandish entrant after Iga Lvova & Kaarvagandaa (18th place with 5 points, "Danse Macabre", WHF7), Cezar Boree (3rd place with 34 points, "Walkiria", WHF8) and Maada Kralin (5th place with 28 points, "Owner", WHF9). She brought home the victory with a song that fared well in the rankings before the night of the ceremony. The show, hosted by Samira Kareli and Jan Ardegorrián, marked the inauguration of the Manguaré Arena of Tikuna, with 35,253 attendants; and also, the fourth time EUSK1 (and third time Euskirribakondara) hosted the prestigious event. The result was not decided but until the final vote was casted, from Fromulya, also a Flegavian nation.

Critics have praised the use of national language, and the experimental notes of the tune, as well as a beautiful performance that reminded many of Totó's WHF8 "Ngoma Ya Moyo Wanga".

Fusha Me-Barian Troops Move Towards the Melbacian Border

NOVEMBER 19, 2012; FUSHA ME-LULE, FUSHA ME-BAR (FMBTV1/NEWS) - Bashkim Flamutartam has today called for the Me-Barian military to march towards Melbacia, making the first move in the probable war between the two nations. After having no assurances from any other nations it seems he has taken it upon himself to make a pre-emptive strike before Melbacia becomes too powerful. Unconfirmed reports state that around 2,300 Merkavan Tanks, 230,000 infantry forces and 470 Mikoyan MiG-35 are headed towards Melbacia, with a further 120,000 reserves ready to be mobilised (they are currently stationed in Fusha Me-Kalajariore).

International support for the expansion of land have been unenthusiastic with Euskirribakondara offering only aid to the civilians of the war, and Folkand not actually responding to Fusha Me-Bar's requests. Secretary of Defence, Ujëra Lakitërasi has stated:

"We are disappointed with Euskirribakondara's refusal to assist us. We felt they would understand the fact that growing populations need more living space, and ii necessary it needs to be taken by force. Not all Me-Barian's have the funds to travel to new countries and so we must make the best of what we can gain, which is Melbacia's land."

Home support for the invasion has been met with much happiness, the people of Fusha Me-Bar beginning to feel the strain of overpopulation. An opinion poll has put the war with Melbacia at a 71% approval rate with the Me-Barian public, however some question what the consequences of war will mean. Either way, there is great support for the operation.

In other news, the government has passed a bill to legalise testing on prisoners rather than animals for medical and cosmetic purposes. It is expected to show an increase of viable drugs and cures for the Me-Barian shelves.

Prime Minister's emergency speech

BREAKING NEWS- Prime Minister Adam Hakssen today had an emergency press conference because of Me-Barian troops being hostile. ''My dear citizens, we all saw what Fusha Me-Barians are up to. Their leader must be ashamed of himself. He is promoting hate and war. This is not what Melbacia and Melbacians stand for. I urge Fusha Me-Barian leader to withdraw his troops now or at least arrange a meeting with me so we can discuss things. I urge him to be sane and not try to attack Melbacia or else everyone knows what will happen.
Melbacia is strong. Melbacia is prosperous. Melbacia will win.''

Prime Minister ended his speech strongly. Political and war analysts argue that he won't give up in trying to find a peaceful solution, but who knows what will happen if he gets annoyed by Me-Barians. Life in Melbacia is still running normally, as Melbacians see Me-Barian threats as rather crazy. Melbacian troops are however, still on the border with Fusha Me-Bar, looking almost eye-to-eye with Me-Barian troops.

Following the mobilisation of Fush Me-Barian Forces in last 2 days, the Royal Kingdom of Quebec has announced that this kind of action is intolerable and that the Royal Quebec Forces will be dispatched to destroy those who trespass the border.

Jacques Goldman, the spokeperson for Prime Minister Perreault, has announced that should military forces from Fusha Me-Bar ever step into the Melbacian land, the 750,000 soldiers of all-specially trained Quebecois Forces will crush them and turn Fush Me-Bar into ashes.
''Their behaviour is intolerable,'' said Mr.Goldman, as he delivered the Prime Minister's words,'' Their acts of imperialism is not something that Quebec and all of our Flegavian nations should appreciate from one.''

Euskirribakondara and Serzchepha respond to tension in Northwestern Flegavia.

NOVEMBER 19, 2012; HARRIKES, EUSKIRRIBAKONDARA (EUSK1/NEWS) - Whilst tension is rising between Fusha Me-Bar and Melbacia, the other Flegavian nations have issued their responses to the conflict, hoping it does not turn into a war in the near future. Nonetheless, this hope is crumbling minute by minute as both sides' armies move.

In Serzchepha's capital, Evlari, the Sergovard Foreign Secretary, Mikäel Anesti, called for a halt of the increased militarization of Fusha Me-Bar during a press conference:

We call for the nation of Fusha Me-Bar to cease and desist it's militant stance towards the nations of Melbacia and Le Amarok. The Federal Republic of Serzchepha will be happy to hold a conference for the parties involved and discuss the problems facing these nations. However, we will not sit patiently by while the territorial integrity of one of our neighbors is threatened with no justified reason and the stability of northwestern Flegavia is threatened as well

Meanwhile in Harrikes, the Harrika Dago I held a press conference in his home, the Mount Ganzo Palace, about the situation. Given his language skills and diplomatic strategies, he decided to issue a message in Albanian too, directed to the Fusha Me-Barian population (translation between brackets):

Euskirribakondara, as per its law, cannot act in any militar way against one nation or another. Nonetheless, we have to condemn the acts of a nation like Fusha Me-Bar. Saying that it's necessary to take territories by the force to mantain a growing population is senseless. Evenmore, when the Gaituzsthan North is highly unpopulated and that zone could feed the hunger of people like Bashkim Flamutartam with the help of Queen Hajitana.

We want to stop this madness and this potential unrest in Northwestern Flegavia. And that is why, from today on until further notice, the border between Fusha Me-Bar and Euskirribakondara will be closed. All traffic, except the one held by air, between both nations will be also stopped, and all commercial deals with Fusha Me-Bar are unvalid now. The products we need from them will now be shipped from Sakhovelo; and we hope that this halt on its commercial influx will prevent them from spending into a crazy war.

Visas are still valid, and we're willing to provide any Fusha Me-Barian with political assylum here. Popujve, të ndaluar qeverinë tuaj! Bëni diçka! As a preventive measure, the Valdarean Army, in charge of Euskirribakondara's Foreign Defense, is mobilising towards the Lillamut Cordillera, where the Fusha Me-Barian border with Euskirribakondara is located. NOVEMBER 19, 2012; BILBAUSKI, EUSKIRRIBAKONDARA (EUSK1/NEWS) - The National Weather System of Euskirribakondara, headquartered in Bilbauski, has announced that Typhoon P85-TQ is leaving the ocean and heading towards northern Bloodbath Generation today. Its speed at the moment is of 120 kilometers per hour (75 mph) and the projections that were released seconds ago estimate it will hit Voxjo, then Shekta in the east, and finally the Bloodbathian capital, Ciudad Longanisa. In Bloodbath Generation, it has been named "Baboy" and the CSP has filed it as a Bloodbathian Category 3 Storm. The national authorities are warning everyone in the path to prepare for the worst and evacuate inland as soon as possible.

Scientists expect the storm's strength to drop before reaching Québec and the Eastern Flegavian Ocean, but meanwhile, the system is already altering weather in the Flegavian Sea, creating heavy rainfall in the Kastelàm Archipelago and high temperatures in Harrikes (18°C) and Bilbauski (22°C). The fish migration will also change, and fishers in the Artsakhiani coast and the Southern Euskirribakondaran Coast will benefit from this. Flights will work normally around Flegavia until further notice, but the air route from the mainland to Ryynart and Euskirribakondara's Qeekallit Nunaat have changed and delays are expected.

Bashkim Flamutartam Gives Press Conference From Fusha Me-Kalajariore - A Chance for Peace?

NOVEMBER 20, 2012; FUSHA ME-KALAJARIORE, FUSHA ME-BAR (FMBTV1/NEWS) - Bashkim Flamutartam has given a press-conference from his army's base at Fusha Me-Kalajariore after international pressure both for and against Fusha Me-Bar was stepped up. Journalists from around Fusha Me-Bar gathered to ask the Kryeministri questions. Some revealing information, and a potential ceasefire could be on the cards. Here's some choice moments from the Press conference:

Q. How do you feel about the international condemnation of your potential invasion of Melbacia?

Of course they'd condemn us. They don't understand our struggle. Personally, I think Quebec should stay out of this, it is not their business, furthermore, they're not even allies of Melbacia and have had no contact prior to this. They also threatened to turn Fusha Me-Bar into ashes, what sane country would do that? In fact, Quebec's leader, I forget his name, is a dangerous man. We simply need more land to support our large population, they want to kill for the fun of it. I can understand Euskirribakondara's stance, however they originally stated that they'd be neutral, and their actions have prevented this from being the case. They say in their constitution that they will refuse to intervene in war, but they just have! It's quite simply ridiculous.

Q. Ebrorendonostia has declared in favour of you war effort, how do you view them as potential allies?

We are happy that some nations understand our struggles, and quite frankly we are happy with any help we can get. We don't share some of Ebrorendonostia's ideas and views, but they are a good, strong nation and most would be happy to have them as allies, so yes, we are happy.

Q. Could you perhaps find a diplomatic solution to this conflict?

We would love to find a diplomatic solution to the conflict, the unnecessary waste of life is not something that I or Fusha Me-Bar promote. What we want is the land up to Melbacia City and Southern Amarok up to where it parts the current border with Melbacia. This is all we want, however they will probably nit agree to that, we know, and so to fulfil our aims we must use force, the whole country knows that and 87% of them agree with it, so we will move forward unless someone can find a solution to our needs.

Q. Will you be introducing conscription?

No, we will not force our people into war, however we have opened volunteering stations to join the army, and we've had a good response, 113,000 people coming forward to join the army. They, with our reserves are currently training in central Fusha Me-Bar.

So it seems Bashkim Flamutartum has opened the door for the international community to come to a settlement on the issue of the Melbacian-Fusha Me-Barian crisis.

BLOODBATH GENERATION UNVEILS NEW NATIONAL FLAG

Earlier this morning, President Tova McQueen officially unveiled the new national flag. After deliberation throughout the night, both parties agreed to change the flag to a tri-colour. Here's a breakdown of the new symbol of Bloodbath Generation:

Hunter Green: Represents Bloodbathian nature and the camouflage uniforms of the Bloodbathian National Defense.

Red: For the bloodshed many suffered over the years, and the will to move on and fight for freedom.

Sky Blue: The final color represents the sea surrounding the nation and the famous Bloodbathian skies above us.

Reaction has been positive, with many noting it as a more respectable symbol of the country, and represents the tried and true Bloodbathian kapabayan spirit, the idea that nature and humans can come together to create something bigger than themselves.

Euskirribakondaran Minister of Defense confident on a peaceful resolution to the Northwest-Flegavian conflict.

NOVEMBER 22, 2012; HARRIKES, EUSKIRRIBAKONDARA (EUSK1/NEWS) - Two days after a new speech given by Bashkim Flamutartam, the Euskirribakondaran government finally spoke again about the "Northwest Flegavia Issue" (NFI). Several meetings took place in Harrikes between different branches of the Harrikía to discuss the actions to be taken on Fusha Me-Bar or Melbacia if it was the case. Meanwhile, the inhabitants from Lillamut Province are already receiving the first Sakhoveli products that will replace the Fusha Me-Barian products whose distribution has come to a halt due to the commercial embargo in place since last Monday. Despite initial reports, not many Fusha Me-Barians have requested assylum in Euskirribakondara, but the number goes up to 500 today.

Since Harrika Dago I is in Stepanarvashat holding meetings with the Artsakhiani government and directing the set up of the 1st Junior World Hit Festival, the Minister of Defense, Jondarre Haulapatxero was in charge of telling Euskirribakondara's current point of view on the issue:

.... And no, Bashkim Flamutartam, we do not understand your struggle. It is true not any sane country would threaten to burn a whole land into ashes, but it is pretty much what you were trying to do before with Melbacia. Thank you for understanding our stance, but I sensed a little confusion from your last statements. Our constitution refrains us from taking any MILITAR action. As such, we felt the need of an embargo to stop this madness at least until we can convince you of holding peace talks. We're militarly neutral, but we'll surely defend the integrity and sovereignty of Melbacia.

Then, the speech proceeded talking about plans on the Valdaranean Army; but a journalist againts talked about the NFI and Jondarre replied:

It is ridiculous that they are still training for war. 113,000 reservists? How can that be sane? We want them to go to a peaceful resolution. But we still cannot understand why this random guy called Bashkim Flamutartam is saying he needs space for its people. Go to Gaituzstha, you've always had good relationships with them. I'm sure Queen Hajitana is merciful enough to give some of her land. But going into war with Melbacia with a pretext of high population density........ it is just........ well, I can't describe it. And don't want to get this speech censored.

But I know there has to be a peaceful resolution. And I know there will be, because Flamutartam's government would never be able to handle all the consequences of a war.

Several minutes later a letter was sent to Fusha Me-Bar, proposing "Lilleflövv", a town in the Lillamut Province (the one that borders Fusha Me-Bar), as a place to hold peace talks and conventions between Melbacia and the Albanian nation.

Typhoon Baboy makes landfall in Bloodbath Generation.

NOVEMBER 22, 2012; CIUDAD LONGANISA, BLOODBATH GENERATION (EUSK1/NEWS) - A few hours ago, Typhoon Baboy reached the northern coast of Bloodbath Generation, and it is already causing floodings in Japusi, an important city of the area. All the press has been moved to temporary shelters in Ciudad Longanisa, because the Bloodbathian government is expecting the worst from the storm.

72 hours after being classified as a Category 1 Typhoon (Euskirribakondaran Scale) and a Category 3 Storm (Bloodbathian Scale); typhoon "Baboy" (or P85-TQ) has reached wind speeds of 180 kilometers per hour, which places it in the Euskal Category 3. Hurricanes/Typhoons like these can cause some structural damage to small residences and utility buildings, particularly those of wood frame or manufactured materials with minor curtainwall failures. Buildings that lack a solid foundation, such as mobile homes, are usually destroyed, and gable-end roofs are peeled off. Manufactured homes usually sustain severe and irreparable damage. Flooding near the coast destroys smaller structures, while larger structures are struck by floating debris. A large number of trees are uprooted or snapped, isolating many areas. Additionally, terrain may be flooded well inland. Near-total to total power loss is likely for up to several weeks and water will likely also be lost.

The National Weather System of Euskirribakondara has compared the route of the Typhoon with the map of Bloodbath Generation, and the typhoon's eye is now expected to go through Japusi, Voxjo, Ciudad Longanisa and Shekta before going back into the sea. If this happens, then the storm will affect directly the nearby cities of Xitung Occidental, Shingfai, Heponica, Pinakbette and Playa Puta. Also, high tides are expected in Lancy and Harrington. Then, according to the scientists, the Typhoon's strength will decrease to Category 1 (winds between 119 and 153 kilometers per hour) and hit Rusmailica's Northern Coast before reaching Québec, where it will "die" and create a season of rains for several weeks.

Fusha Me-Bar Marches into Melbacia

NOVEMBER 22, 2012; FUSHA ME-KALAJARIORE, FUSHA ME-BAR (FMBTV1/NEWS) - After what seemed like a lacklustre response from the international community, Bashkim Flamutartam has marched his troops into southern Melbacia, using an alternative route to the Melbacian troops. A suitable base for the army is being built. Meanwhile, Bashkim Flamutartam has sent Foreign Affairs Minister, Malina Kupsikorë and Defence Minister, Ujëra Lakitërasi to Lilleflövv, a proposed place for peace talks. In a statement made today, he said:

"We want to keep our options open. We want the land, we need the land, and we will do anything we can to try and get it. The Euskal claims to take the land of Queen Hajitana, that is absurd, firstly, we are allies, you do not take from your friends. Secondly, the northern part of Gaituzstha is depopulated because it is mountainous and inhospitable save for the Maghalmt’ian Pass which is our only direct route through. They should really learn about their region. We are marching into Melbacia, while also going to peace talks, so we can keep our options open."

Reports have also stated that Gaituzstha is unhappy with Euskal comments on giving up land. A person close to Queen Hajitana has told us that:

"She doesn't seem too happy that Euskirribakondara thinks of her land as such a commodity, like a plaything. She doesn't want conflict, but Euskirribakondara should watch its comments in future."

Bashkim Flaumtartam is now reportedly waiting for Ebrorendonostia to make their move.

NOVEMBER 22, 2012; STEPANARVASHAT, ARTSAKHESTAN (EUSK1/NEWS) - After comments from the Euskirribakondaran Minister of Defense, Jondarre Haulapatxero, and the comments it generated in both Gaituzstha and Fusha Me-Bar; the Harrika Dago I decided to speak from his current "base", the Euskirribakondaran Embassy in Stepanarvashat. Critics have seen in his speech that apparently, the Ministry of Defense is not thinking like the rest of the Harrikía's government; and that given the Harrika's words, Jondarre could even be sanctioned in the near future.

I want to congratulate the Fusha Me-Barian government for their clearance on the possibility of holding peace talks. We really appreciate that. We still don't like the speech of "we need the land", even more when several other projects can be made to solve the density problem that the albania country is facing: vertical housing, better city-planning, claiming land from the sea, et cetera.

On the other hand, I'd like to apologize for the somewhat heated response of my Minister, Jondarre Haulapatxero, to the questions of the journalists. I, the head of our government, never suggested the idea of taking lands from Gaituzstha. My minister's comments were based on his assumption that the talks between Bashkim Flamutartam's cabinet and Queen Hajitana's courts were about ceding land to the former. I'd also like to add that the EGII is collecting the geographical and historical data of Flegavia as a whole; and we already know the northern part of Gaituzstha is totally mountainous, that was a bit rude. But at least from the point of view of many renowned scientists of the region, this zone is not uninhabitable. It was actually inhabited in the past, and we cannot see how it could be uninhabitable now.

If Fusha Me-Bar spent its resources in the strategies I mentioned instead of wasting it in weaponry and training, the crisis would be solved. And not only the density crisis... Also the underdevelopment in many areas of the common Fusha Me-Barian life. And lastly, I'd like to apologize to Queen Hajitana in the name of our government if some of my minister's comments were disrespectful to her and her nation.

It was also known that the Harrika will stop his tour around Artsakhestan to lead the Peace Conference in Lilleflövv; and he'll personally receive Malina Kupsikorë and Ujëra Lakitërasi. He's also expecting an announcement from Melbacia now, and fears what Ebrorendonostia's moves could be. The venue for the Peace Conference will be the Winter Palace, one of the most important royal buildings of the nation.

BREAKING NEWS: Prime Minister again called for an emergency press conferece regarding happenings in Fusha-Me-Bar these last few days. ''This are tough times for Melbacia. We are threatened by Me-Barians. But what's their leader's reason for attacking us? THEIR NATION IS TOO DENSE. Please. A child could come up with that. Is that a valid reason for attacking another nation and killing people?! Of course it isn't! I am giving Fusha Me-Bar it's last warning: STOP! If your soldiers step one centimeter into Melbacia's soil, I will immidiately declare war on you. But I am giving you a one last chance. Please. Don't be insane. Lets meet and solve this. Please.''

Melbacia has started to mobilize it's troops and set them throught the border with Fusha Me-Bar. We asked our citizens what do they think about this situation and 76% of them said that Fusha Me-Bar has no valid reason for attacking Melbacia. Melbacians want an independent Melbacia and would fight for it, if neccessary. Prime Minister Hakksen also sent a letter to all nations that support Melbacia in this conflict in which he expresses his biggest thanks for the help.

As the Calvarian education system falls to new lows, the state of Waverly has made the decision to raise the requirement to be accepted into the "SPARK" program (which provides partial-full scholarships for Calvarian students). The new requirements see that students must maintain a 92 average, be clear of any legal infractions, and must score a 50 on the CIG. How well they score on those three scales will determine how much money they receive.

Many college-bound students cry foul to this rule, saying that it will now cause them to rethink their entire futures, as many of them intended on using "SPARK" funds to go to school in Waverly. Along with the students, many universities don't agree that this method will have a positive effect on enrollment at their universities, stating that students will just find somewhere else to go. Ignoring the criticism, the state of Waverly is set to vote on the law shortly. This new edit to the current "SPARK Program" will affect over 30 4-year colleges in Waverly.

NOVEMBER 24, 2012; CIUDAD LONGANISA, BLOODBATH GENERATION (EUSK1/NEWS) - The national final for Bloodbath Generation's candidate to WHF 11, Syngið fyrir Veröld (Song for the world), has been pushed ahead to tomorrow as over 2 million people are without power from Japusi to Ciudad Longanisa. The typhoon is currently 270 kilometers south of the capital, after it hit the city yesterday morning and the night before. Damage is estimated to be at over BG 10 000 000. President McQueen has cancelled her guest appearance at the final, instead flying to Voxjo, Japusi and Gagarena today, and assessing the damage to the Capital Area tomorrow. International aid is needed, especially medical and construction aid.

The storm is now a Category 2 Typhoon (Euskirribakondaran Scale) with sustained winds of 160 kilometers per hour. Storms like these often damage roofing material (sometimes exposing the roof) and inflict damage upon poorly constructed doors and windows. Poorly constructed signs and piers can receive considerable damage and many trees are uprooted or snapped. Mobile homes, whether anchored or not, are typically damaged and sometimes destroyed, and many manufactured homes also suffer structural damage. Small craft in unprotected anchorages may break their moorings. Extensive to near-total power outages and scattered loss of potable water are likely, possibly lasting many days.

Voxjo is flooded now, and the only international aid confirmed so far is that coming from Euskirribakondara and Artsakhestan, who are giving N$ 10,000,000 together. Many expect that Harrika Dago I visits the damaged areas soon, according to local sources. The storm's eye will arrive to Playa Puta in a few minutes.
