Sopho Kortadze was ready to deliver an excelent show that stood as the début of the Sakhoveli music scene in the international arena. After a very tough national final, she had to achieve a very high position for the nation, for Mariko (the runner-up) and for herself. Right after Jigi's very interesting act, it was her turn. The stage would turn into Kubistvis for some minutes, in just a few seconds.
Sopho was dressed like this, which turns out to be the traditional dress of Kubistvis, given its navy heritage of centuries. She had her hair like this, and she would be joined by two girls on her both sides, dressed in the same way, but without the hat and a different hair colour. 30 extras were going to be used all around the stage to play as Kubistvis pedestrians, dressed in a very summer-y/spring-y mood.
The petals of the stage were not coloured... They projected images of the typical stone platforms of the Kubistvis' streets. And there were palm tree-props all around the stage. The movable background screen was projecting typical buildings, so the main stage looked like this or this (it changes between both throughout the song). The pool in the center has been covered, so it has 'disappeared'. The fire islands are going to be off all the time, so the sand around them (and more sand specially put for this act) has been put around the main stage... So it looks like a giant beach around everything. The smaller stage is like the inside of a building, apparently... And a horizontal ramp connects it with the main stage. The stage will be fully bright all the time... To inspire a sunny day.
OOC: Transcription to Latin alphabet provided here, with the translation between brackets. The lyrics in their original alphabets are on the bottom of this post. Itallics mean sung by the 'pedestrians'
It was the time, and Sopho and her two back singers were standing in the "inside of the building" (the small adjacent stage) with a pose like this and black sunglasses on. The song was started by the 'pedestrians' yelling out...
The sun's outside we can't stay indoors
Kubistvis, kubistvis
The sea breeze is right next door
Kubistvis ulamazesi (Beautiful kubistvis)
A very stylized "hey" of Sopho showed off her typical 'voice games' when singing. She started to move her hips (with her singers) like in the video. Then, they started singing...
Palmis kheebi ukve gaghimebuli (The palm trees are already smiling)
Ch'emi guli ts'ema, rogorits'aa gizhebi (My heart is beating like crazy)
K'visha sanapiroze aris gat'bobis (The sand of the beach is heating up)
Ert'adert'i sap'rt'khe dghit'idghe dakarga (The only danger, is getting lost)
The chorus kicked in, in just a milisecond. Sopho was smiling a lot, and looked very happy, glamorous and sensual (not slutty) to the cameras; the chorus was in Aranese, as this language is regarded in Sakhovelo as sophisticated...
La piu bella sí, la piu qrata sí (The most beautiful yeah, the most sophisticated yeah)
La città namorabla que m'atana à mí (The lovable city that traps my heart)
Città namorabla, la mia Kubistvis (The lovable city, my Kubistvis)
In this little interval, Sopho and her singers went to the main stage with the help of the ramp, which meant they "were out on the street". They started to walk around (with the camera always following them) greeting the pedestrians (who were acting casually, as in a city like Kubistvis)...
Oh yeah....
Droa aighos ch'emi Jimmy-Choo-meli (It's time to take out my Jimmy Choo shoes)
Modit' davanakhot' Chanel sarch'eli (Let's show off the Chanel' suit)
Arap'eria, magram Chic sahaero (There's nothing but the chic air)
Am maradmtsvane mziani mkhare, oh! (In these evergreen sunny lands, oh)
Again, the chorus came in very quickly, but in this moment, the three girls made a rather complicated dance move... The girl on the right took Sopho by her legs; the girl on the left took her by her torso, and they rose her up... So that she looked like if she was laid somewhere. After the end of the chorus, they put her back on her feet...
La piu bella sí, la piu qrata sí (The most beautiful yeah, the most sophisticated yeah)
La città namorabla que m'atana à mí (The lovable city that traps my heart)
Città namorabla, la mia Kubistvis (The lovable city, my Kubistvis)
A random pedestrian took Sopho by her hand, and she started to make a little fast dance with him (like in the video) as she and her singers made a little vocal improvisation, and a trumpet was being played live by one of the pedestrians. The dance (very 40s-50s) was actually a strapad, a typical dance from Kubistvis. It had spins and lifts and everything... The crowd was very excited watching it.
She kept dancing as her singers made the chorus again...
La piu bella sí, la piu qrata sí (The most beautiful yeah, the most sophisticated yeah)
La città namorabla que m'atana à mí (The lovable city that traps my heart)
Città namorabla, la mia Kubistvis (The lovable city, my Kubistvis)
Then, the strapad ended with a last spin of Sopho, and then they (she and her singers) went walking glamorously to the staircase, and started to descend it as they sang the next stranza, where they mentioned the kavlas, a typical Sakhoveli snack. Their moves were like in the video (but instead of using chairs, they were using the steps of the staircase)
Oh, yeah...
Modit' chama kavlas sanam ch'ven srulad (Let's eat kavlas until we're full)
Modit' banaoba gaut'avebeli lurji zghva (Let's swim in the endless blue sea)
Avighot' gaseirneba k'vemot' parkshi (Let's take a stroll down the park)
Es el moment de vivre aufí! (It is the moment to live, after all!)
The ladies started to take off their jackets and hat to look a bit like this (without the buttons and the black lines), since they were now on the beach; and then they walked to the very front. At the same time, the pedestrians yelled out again...
The sun's outside we can't stay indoors
Kubistvis, kubistvis
The sea breeze is right next door
Kubistvis ulamazesi (Beautiful kubistvis)
Città namorabla, la mia Kubistvis (The lovable city, my Kubistvis)
Using that space of the front, there was a flash-mob-like-choreography (like in the video, but less militarish, if you know what I mean) for the bridge...
Everything we want, we can find it here
Città, namorabla, Kubistvis (The lovable, city, Kubistvis)
Everything you want, you can come with me
Città, namorabla, Kubistvis (The lovable, city, Kubistvis)
It's the best spot, get it while it's hot, come, oh god
Città namorabla… (The lovable city)
Then, the three girls ran to the right catwalk and that little spiral whilst singing the chorus. Sopho had her voice enough warmed up to achieve amazingly good notes...
Avighot' gaseirneba…. (Let's take…)
Es el moment de vivre aufí! (It is the moment to live after all!)
Around 5 pedestrians took her by her feet and made her stand up in their hands, so basically... she was standing in the very top. Then, they started to walk by the left catwalk, still holding her as she sang. The procession began, and all the other 25 pedestrians and the 2 back singers were following the leading group of 5 pedestrians and Sopho. They would walk by the left catwalk, towards the entrance/exit of the stage...
La piu bella si, la piu qrata si
La città namorabla que m'atana à mí
Say what?
Città namorabla, la mia Kubistvis
Say!!!
Città namorabla, la mia Kubistvis
Oooh!!!
Città namorabla, la mia Kubistvis
Then, Sopho started a long note with lots of 'voice games' that was long enough to let the back singers sing...
Kubistvis
Kubistvis
Kubistvis
Kubistvis
They kept walking and singing, in an echo-like effect
Kubistvis, kubistvis, kubistvis, kubistvis…
The procession was reaching the entrance/exit, and everyone was yelling out (and answering to the first yell)...
The sun's outside we can't stay indoors

The sea breeze is right next door

They had already entered backstage when the song was about to end. They turned Sopho around, she sent a kiss to the crowd and then the doors were shut (that's the sound of the end).
Everyone started to applaude and from backstage (but still with her audio on) Sopho yelled out...
Didi Madloba Sachenk'velo! Thank you Chenkorya! Love you all!
