The Queen smiled slightly, and with a serpentine shake of her head she clasped her hands behind her back. "I fed directly before coming. Although, my meal was hardly such a fine specimen." She continued walking, seemingly dismissing Aria from further inspection. Still, the Wraith's manner was neither aye nor nay about making anybody her next meal.

Ingeborg overheard the conversation without much say. She turned her head when the insectoid, the wraith, began to speak. Her voice was foreign, unearthly. Her behaviour was scary to say the least, as she had been quiet for most of the journey to the school untill this sudden point. She thought Aria was being a bit rude when she asked if she was going to eat anyone. She wouldn't have said that herself in fear of offending the wraith, and for what? Because she looked a bit alien-like. However, the kangaroo's jaw literally dropped at the response from the wraith, which confirmed that Aria had all right to be suspicious about the wraith. She practically just admitted right there she fed on human life, not even to describe how cold she seemed about it, disturbingly cold and emotionless. She would be the one who could tell, of course, when there was even the lightest tinge of emotion, but none was there to be perceived. At a loss of anything to say, she just turned her eyes to Gradian uncertainly.

Aria Tannhauser
Streets of Xevaris

Aria stopped walking as she shifted her shoulders uncomfortably. She was shaken and slightly angered by the Queen's response, but calmed down when she realizes that she is emitting psionic energy from the tips of her fingers. She has every right to be angry, as she lost her father on the mysterious disappearance of the science vessel.

She wiped the small tears from her eyes, as the memory of her father was too painful for her. Come on, damn it. Pulling herself together, she cleared her throat and resumed to following with the group. Aria then pulled out her headphones and turned the music player on. The volume was set to low, because she needs to hear the outside world.

The Songstress made a curtsy then followed Captain Garm and the two guards out of the building. She did not make any remarks on that she was allowed to repair her ship, as she wanted to measure how fast and how efficient is the command system. And preferably, how actually they get their commands, to measure, in an emergency how much time she has to get off the planet.

Always have a backup plan. Trust no-one, except your angel.
This simple creed had saved her life one too many times when she was in a trap, thus, she thought, it could work if the Zarkenians made a second thought.

Sufan blinked. He blinked again. And again.
He'd not understood anything in Norah's explanation. He understood a few words, like the prepositions and "magic," but other than that, it made absolutely no sense. "Um.... Well, actually, my 'civilisation,' as you call it, would likely be considered quite primitive by your own. We, ah.... We're nomadic, we live in tents, um, we are governed by the... clergy, I think the word is. I, um, we pass our knowledge down orally, as well as storing it in Magickal crystals. We have no 'computers'; I barely know anything about them. Ah...." He twiddled his thumbs for a few seconds, if only to occupy his hands, then stopped, giving a weak smile.

Captain Garm and the two guards simply escorted Aiwendill back to her ship, which was still next to Garm's Wardenship. On the way there, they too kept themselves from making any remarks on the permission Commander Retor had given Aiwendill to repair her ship, though they were already informed of the situation, as the Astral Commander had informed Garm himself through psionic communication.

When they got to the ship, Garm turned to Aiwendill. "My crew will assist in repairing your ship to the best of their abilities." He stated.

Gradian noticed the negative emotions that the Queen seemed to be inspiring in the two other students, as well as the way she spoke and the way Aria asked her about whether or not the Wraith was planning to feed on her and the response she got. In an attempt to keep things under control, he sent a wave of calmness and civility to the students and continued on his way.

Finally, they came across the dome in which the Imperial Academy of Psionic Arts resided. Gradian led the students towards the red double doors, and spoke to the two guards that were positioned on both sides of the doors. The guards themselves looked much like the one that had fetched Aria and Ingeborg. After Gradian spoke to them briefly, they opened the doors, and then Gradian led the students through the hall of statues and into the Imperial Academy.

"Very well, here we are." Gradian said, and then pulled out several items from within his robe. "Here are maps, dorm keycards, and portable schedules for each of you. Due to the delay in your arrival, classes have already started, but all the staff has been informed about you three. You should head to classroom F1-B, as that is where your next class will be. Break will be over in ten minutes." He stated. "Good luck and farewell." He said afterwards, and turned to leave.

The Queen sensed Aria's slight anger and Ingeborg's fear but she did not say anything. The Wraith did not feel like making unnecessary promises over what she could not promise. Besides, Aria was only human, and what Wraith would comfort a human? The Queen felt that Aria's anger was a symptom of desirable strength.

When Gradian sent a wave of strange emotion rolling towards her she shook her head and snorted. She was already perfectly calm, but the other emotion was a wave of strange thoughts she could not understand in the instant they touched her. She tried rejecting them with a shake.

Gradian showed them to the school and described the situation. The Queen gave a slight bow to him and looked at the map, key, and schedule he had handed her. She picked up her satchel and held the keycard eye level in her long fingernails. She smiled at the other two students she was left with.

Then she began walking to her room to deposit her bag before class.

Aria Tannhauser
IAPA Campus

Aria cleared her throat and thanked Gradian as she was handed her materials. She noticed the Queen smiled towards her and Ingeborg as she walked off. Sighing, she looked at the map, and was rather overwhelmed by the size of the campus. "Whoa..." she muttered. Turning to her keycard, she looked at the code and referred to the map to find the room. Her room was located at the far corner of the dormitory building, fourth floor. Rubbing the back of her neck where the implant port is, she turned to Ingeborg, who was still looking at her materials.

"Well, I should be going." Aria smiled "I shall see you later."

Before she left, she blinked her eyes with a certain sequence and the HUD of the implant activated. She fails at walking and using the implant's HUD. Her pupils dilated when the HUD appeared.

Ingeborg felt the wave of emotions strongly. The pulse of calmth and civility Gradian sent, affected Ingeborg especially, who felt refreshed now after feeling so much negativity, to finally sense something positive, though the artificiality of the emotions being sent her way was clear as daylight. The others seemed to be helped too, to some extent. At least the wraith appeared to have shut up from it, and Aria had toned her anger down when they entered the academy.

"Hmm, oh yes. See you during next class," Ingeborg smiled, waving goodbye to Aria before she picked up her luggage and left. The Wraith had also long left, and she was left to herself in the large academy now. She searched around on the map, pairing up the number written on the keycard with the numbers of the rooms as they appeared on the map she had been given. She'd have to drop off her luggage at her room first before heading out to her first class. She found out the location of her dorm room eventually. It was just a few floors up. She was actually quite amazed at how large the campus was. It was no less than the size of the small village she grew up in. She picked up her bags and walked off at a brisk pace to find her dorm room, so she could drop off some of her stuff before heading to the next class. She'd have to take her time to settle into the size of the campus, as it seemed rather easy to get lost around this place.

Memnet-Re finished studying her schedule. There were only about ten more minutes until the next class, so she headed back towards her quarters to refresh her make-up and wait until it was time. She walked slowly, with a tinkling jangle of jewelry and bangles. She had just reached her door when she noticed a strange creature bounding through the halls. She stopped and watched it.

Finally, she decided it was sapient from the bags in hand, and she spoke to it. "Hello," she said in a light, more human flange so as not to startle it away. "What are you?" she then said more bluntly.

What are you? WHAT are you? Was she bloody pulling her leg? Ingeborg flicked her eyes to the girl and frowned. She would have thought that in a country like Zarkenis Ultima, the sight of non-humans would not provoke a question so direct and inconsiderate, given that practically the entire population consisted of non-humans.

She seemed to be adorned from tip to toe with jewellery, the sounds of them jingling about pretty much alerting everyone in a one mile radius of her presence. On top of that, she seemed to be completely covered in make-up. She apparently just trotted about like she was the queen of the Nile or something. "I'm a student who needs to go to her dorm, whadayawant?" she returned with equal unabashedness.

Memnet-Re was surprised by the creature's reply and barbaric accent. She gave a slight toss of the head which jangled her golden cobra headdress. Her dress was long and shimmery blue, and split rather far up the sides. "Why," she said in a deeper flange, carefully pronouncing each syllable. "My name is Memnet-Re. I am Goa'uld." She lifted her chin proudly and flashed her eyes yellow-white. "What is your kind, student?"

Aria Tannhauser
IAPA Campus, Dormitories

"No..." Aria scratched her head in frustration. "I have gone here already." As much as she would refuse to admit it, she was lost. She looked again on the map and realized she was going in circles. Then she finds out the problem. "Oh. So if I turn here... Aha!" And there she was, the dormitories.

She entered the dormitory and looked around. Upon reaching her floor, her psionic implant's audio component detected something. The voice was clearly an Australian accent. However, she can't pinpoint where the voice is originating. Frowning for a moment, she sighed and went to her dorm room.

The room was fully furnished and the window showed the full expanse of the campus. She placed her bags on the floor away from the door. Opening the larger luggage, she pulled out a set of clothes and a towel. She hasn't taken a bath since leaving the Meritocratic States. "Ah... God yes." She said as she slipped on the bath and began to wash herself. Aria looked on the clock, she realized she doesn't have enough time.

Sighing in resignation, she forced herself off the bath, dried herself and dressed up. After putting her hair on a ponytail, she grabbed her shouder bag, placed the necessary materials and decided to look around. Once again, she pulled out her headphones and activated the music player. "Okay... Classroom F1-B." She looked at her schedule and smiled. This shouldn't be too hard. She thought as she stood on the hall.

Ingeborg raised an eyebrow at Memnet-Re. She seemed to show so much pride when she mentioned she was Goa'uld, raising her chin up in such a condescending manner that she couldn't help but already begin to detest this person. What did she expect her to do, applaud? She hadn't even a clue what the hell a Goa'uld was, and why it should even matter. "I'm an eastern grey kangaroo and my name's Ingeborg Portar," she said, hoping that it would suffice for her. She was just impatient to go and drop off her stuff so she could go to her first class, as were her original intentions before she was abruptly stopped. Her eyes flicked down but for a moment. Another of the many stark contrasts to add to the list between the two was their clothing. One of Ingeborg's eyes made a slight twitch at the sight of the ridiculously exquisite style of dress, and Ingeborg, jeans and a plaid shirt over a white sleeveless shirt. Oh, she had all experience she needed in dealing with snob queens at her school, this'd be no exception.

Time was whiling away, and Memnet-Re had wanted to be elsewhere. The "kangaroo" was an oddity, but then Memnet-Re had seen her fair share of oddities. She nodded a slight acknowledgement. "Very well, kangaroo," she said, disliking the inelegance of the word. The Goa'uld entered her own room.

It wasn't until she was re-applying her heavy black and gold eye make-up that she realized she still did not know the gender of that creature. No matter. "Kangaroo" or "Ingeborg Portar" would suffice in place of any pronouns.

Aiwendil's Starship

When they arrived directly at her small, battered vessel, and they were silent on all the way, she suspected that she has no idea how they get their command, but she suspected they knew it all the way. The missing link this time is a Collective-like link between the individuals, as they seen it in the Borg or in the Clanks. To her, this was the worst-case scenario. She had no way to know when a command and what commands has been issued, and also, she had no way to defend against it. If the Zarkenians wanted her dead at any time, she would be dead. That cut her chances of a backup plan.

With the assistance of her wings, she jumped into the cockpit of the plane, and connected her tail. At the side of the spaceplane, two elaborate shapes appeared, dissimilar to each other. Then another winged being appeared, comparing the symbols to each other, studying them for a moment, then to the side of the plane, in English, she written a long list of repairs, and two short materials lists. Then the winged hologram disappeared, and Aiwendil climbed down.

She pointed at the left, scattered shape, then the right, complete one, then the repairs list.
"Ladies and Gentleman, this is a custom Imperial Parta III class personal starship, nowadays ubiquitous in the Empire. She has been effectively warned, as it's shown on that sigil. As a reference, the right one is how it's supposed to look like, and, courtesy of my angel, that's what we need to do in order to make them look alike. Using the least amount of resources possible. Of course, there is a way to make the process even more resource efficient by repairing my right hand, and a Wand, thus I can replicate a crane over the ship, that could automatically repair the ship to full function, using only ambient atmosphere.

Oh, I forgot to introduce myself." - she made a small curtsy - "I was Songstress First Class Major Eve Aiwendil. I had designed this ship, and I wrote and sang the replicator program needed to construct this vessel, and several other devices. The closest equivalent should be engineer. I think. As I see, my angel written step-by-step instructions, and as per protocol, we should start with the RAILS. Reactor, Antimatter, Impulse, Life support, Shields. The Reactor is all right, fuel supply is good, life support is irrelevant for a Clank ship. So a few repairs to the impulse engine, and the construction of a new shield generator is the first. If you need any specific instructions, I will help, and as much I could do, I will do."

Imperial Academy of Psionic Arts

The Clank could not believe what she had just heard. That there still exist tribal civilization. And moreover, magic. The latter subject she 'read' in fantasy holonovels, which she was fond of, and often played them, but she couldn't think any of it was real. So she acted like if one of the characters just gone wrong, and suddenly 'discovered' she was a Clank.

"So Clanks are... magical people. Computers are just our name for magic. And our wizards are the Songstresses, who are strong in their magic. What makes me work... is an... intricate set of charms to say, however, one of the charms placed on me had worn off." - she heard herself sound extremely awkward as she had to explain it to someone knowing no technology, but magic. However, it could only be determined by her wording, as she had a monotonic sound and constant neutral expression. - "Thus I have to see a Songstress from my people, or make an attempt to work it out myself."

She looked at the clock on the wall, as her own chronometer was broken.

"I think we have to go to class, to F1-B, as the break is over. I'm sorry for consuming all of your lunch break, Sufan-san, but I'm grateful I could speak with you."

Warning: Psychical Stance Engine has been reset. - her internal messaging system warned her about the cause she was slipping into Japanese honorifics as she started to go to class, after letting time for Sufan to react. Closing in to the classroom, she felt a carefully regulated, and psionic presence. The waveform reminded her of ones generated by computers.

No. It can't happen. I'm the only prototype, and it can't get to serial production this fast.
She remarked to the strange generated psionic signal, as she stepped into the range of Aria. Her psionic link engine attempted to identify the other machine automatically by making a download attempt. Make, model, serial number, while broadcasting it's own back.

Aria gasped, surprised when the HUD of her implant activated. She wasn't aware she can communicate through her implant. She studied the report, wondering what the intentions are:

After the transmission was sent, she looked around and finds herself with a second person beside her. "H-hello." she smiled weakly "Is there anything I can help you with?"

Ingeborg rolled her eyes, and continued to search for her room. She was at least in the right area, and all she had to do was count down the gold-coloured metallic numbers on the doors untill she found the one that matched her assigned dorm number. She opened it using the keycard, and with a light click, the door allowed entrance to her room. She peeked inside and turned on the lights to see what it was like. The room seemed nicely furnished, and the window to the outside gave her a decent view over the campus. She had to be quick now though. A glance at the clock revealed to her she had wasted vital time from her confrontation with the goa'uld. She placed her bag on the floor and quick began to unpack. She put the clothes she brought with her in the closet and let the rest of the stuff she didn't need right now be strewn over her bed. She'd put it all neatly in order once she had more time. She made sure she had everything she needed and then rushed off to her class.

"Ah." Aria nodded "That was the proximity sensor of my implant. The protocols from my nation requires me to enhance the proximity sensor range." she shifted my shoulders and continued "And it's fine, don't worry about it. It's just Aria by the way, there is no need for honorifics." she pushed down her headphones to her shoulders and the techno music spilled from the speakers.

She inspected her and raised her eyebrow in curiosity. "From the identification you sent me, it appears that you are a genuine synthetic... aren't you?" she asked.
This nation is now being retired.
Good-night, sweet prince.

"Sumimasen." - she replied - "I'm malfunctioning, so please excuse me for slipping into honorifics."

Then she heard the music out of Aria's headphones. She found atomic age Earth music interesting, inspirational, and powerful. She thought they should have been very efficient at their intended purpose: keeping people dancing all night long.

"So you also like atomic age Species 5618 music?" - she said, looking at her headphones - "I suppose that is your audio loopback device."
- she made an attempt at small talk - "Yes, I'm a sentient gynoid. Species 10192, Clank, if that's what you meant. However in my nation, even organics have and go by serial numbers. We use organic readable designations, because they are more easy to pronounce in organic languages."

Aria shifted her bag to her left shoulder, "Yes I do." she smiled as she pressed the stop button on the player and slipped it into her bag "I grew a liking to it."

When Norah confirmed her identity as a synthetic, her interest piqued. Robotics is a developing industry back at her country, and she has been interested in the subject while studying at high school. "A sentient gynoid." she gasped "Wow, I have never encountered a synthetic that is self-aware." she then grinned and bowed "It is an honor to meet one." she looked around and said "Are you supposed to be somewhere right now? Class starts in a few minutes."

"I'm sorry you had to see me malfunctioning. I hope a Songstress will repair me soon, then I can exhibit my full range of functions again. Including to feel." - Her last sentence was hard to believe from an expressionless face and a monotonic voice. - "I believe in approximately 20 years, your technology will be advanced enough to manufacture sentient robots. However, please make sure that your culture treat them as equal."

She said, referring to War of Independence leading to the destruction of billions of humans, Clanks, elves, Na'vi and other organics, and dozens of planets rendered uninhabitable due to antimatter and biological weapons.

"And yes, my next class is at F1-B. From my previous experiences, there is a high chance that your class is also at there. May I escort you there?"

The satchel was deposited on the bed and unpacked easily. All it contained was a change of underclothes and a long-range communicator. Normally, the Wraith would use a psionic amplifier instead, but this was hardly the appropriate situation. The communicator was bulkier and not as efficient, but it was secure.

The Queen placed the device on the bedside table and immediately reddish tentacles writhed out from its chitinous surface and intertwined to form a spire that could be likened to an antenna. Then, after informing her hive that she was safe she exited her quarters to attend her first class.

Look Ralph, it's like a good porno. Idiotic plot, excessive moaning, and it's unreal as shit. But at the end of the day: Who cares?

The more shares you've collected, the more follicles you've got and the more luxurious your luscious, gentlemanly, simply outstanding Moustache of Manliness will be.

For comparison, Max Barry currently has about the same level of Moustacheness as Theodore Roosevelt.

Ingeborg was half looking at the map, and half looking at her surroundings in trying to find her classroom. Walking through the academy in search of her class really made her appreciate the humongousness of the campus. She walked into her destination with her head still bowed down and looking at the map. When her head tilted up, she noticed she must have gotten there early. She couldn't see any of the two other students she arrived with waiting by the classroom. Shrugging lightly, the kangaroo just put her bag on the ground to take the weight off of her shoulder. She realised she didn't even have a clue yet what her first class was going to be about. She pondered over what it could be, and she was aching to practice her abilities for the first time in a school full of professionals in that area. She let her mind wander off, trying to sense some distant entities around her. Some of them were rather faint, and thus difficult for her to recognise. She sighed and scratched herself behind her ear, looking around a bit boredly.
