Arrival in Ali-Zebu

Postby Ali-Zebu Union » Sun Oct 16, 2011 1:49 am

As the guests approached the Ali-Zebu International Airport, they would have seen the city spread lazily along the Bay of Pashta and out into the mainland. If they arrived during the day they would have noticed the palace grounds and nearby neighborhoods as they approached the airport. If they arrived at night, they would have been greeted by the twinkling of a multitude of lights from the city below.

On arriving in the terminal any guest would have been presented with a modern and picturesque interior. Amid the modern technology, one would seen walls covered with intricate tile work that depicted things from geometric patterns to floral designs. Small circular courtyards could be found throughout with flower boxes surrounding them and glass domes above them. Such flowers as the Mastaf rose with its pale purple petals and the Anözmir jasmine, bright yellow and pleasantly fragrant, were among the flowers that graced the flower boxes.

Announcements were made in the Ammaztyl, Helladrian, Ihongo, and English languages. You could see visiting businessmen from Free Ichi-Aochi, families from Ragochev to Koldari, and tourists from across the world. Many shops such as those that sold wine, tea, and surfing apparel and equipment could be found in different locations. A dedicated food court held a number of standard restaurants, tea shops, and national chains such as Kebab Queen which boasted over two dozen varieties of kebabs.

People moved in every direction and their voices created a loud cacophony of noise. A woman and her husband held hands in a restaurant, a pair of young women kissed in a bathroom stall, and a redheaded security guard patrolled the terminal with an assault rifle slung across her shoulder. People such as these as well as the guests could be found roaming the busiest airport in the nation.

The waters surrounding Ali-Zebu were calm, for the first time on the six month journey young Prince Ealdrith's stomach could stop it's flip-flopping and settle. Standing next to the helmsman, the Prince's shoulder-length sable hair whipped before him as the winds carried the large 104-gun vessel towards it's destination. The Prince turned slightly as his consort, Lady Thilda, came to his side in her best emerald gown, her own golden hair not so much as batting at her shoulder as she stood, “how long now?”

The Prince turned to the helmsman who replied for him, “about ten minutes milady,” the man offered a slight bow of his head before continuing, “it's lucky we were already in the area when the news arrived...”

The Prince and the Lady had been recently attending a diplomatic mission on a nearby island sovereign state when the telegram had arrived for him, luckily he had brought with him a change of formal attire – in this instance he is wearing a golden coloured plate-armour breastplate, a pair of crimson leggings and a voluminous cape of a dark purple colour, “indeed,” intones the Prince impatiently, “prepare for ceremonial greeting. Marines in full dress, sans arms, assemble on the forecastle, port and starboard. Officers to the aftcastle, full dress on the same.” The bosun nodded from a position behind the helmsman and began signalling orders about to the crew.

It isn't long before the port is insight and the reserved berth, big enough for a ship of the line to moor herself comfortably, is filled. The gangplank is laid across the gap between ship and port and the Prince and his consort are piped across. The gangplank is retracted swiftly, so that none of the gathering Ali-Zebuan crowd can gain access to the pride of the fleet.

The Prince moves through the group, quickly finding the translator and guide that had been dispatched to him, “greetings,” he says, his thickly accented English fluent enough for communication, “has a carriage been arranged for our dispatch?”

The wooden ship had sailed precariously through the busy port having to avoid ships from the Small Handy Size vessels to the enormous ULCCs, all of which dwarfed it many times over. The dock at which the prince’s vessel was tied up was one used for smaller vessels like the patrol vessels of the coastguard. The dock workers thought the naval museum was running some sort of historical reenactment as they tied the ship of the line down and an actual gangplank was thrown across the gap between the vessel and the dock. The thought of a reenactment was only made stronger when they saw the two oddly attired individuals walk onto the dock and toward the befuddled Hayar translator that was standing there.

Eufrona Atsányi was tall like most Hayar at 1.86 meters (6'1") and also possessed the fiery red hair also common to her ethnicity. Her eyes were green and sat behind a pair of small, thin rimmed glasses. She was attired in a way popular with many Hayar. A pair of black pants that flared dramatically half way down the calf, a sleevless, saffron shirt with a deep vee neck, and a form fitting black vest that also had a deep vee neck. She took out a small cloth from her pocket and wiped away something an audacious seagull had left behind on her shapely bosom.

She had not believed her superior in the Foreign Ministry when she had been told that an old wooden warship was on its way after stopping on some nearby island nation. And now said vessel had docked and two individuals straight from a historical drama were walking toward her. She resisted the urge to stare too curiously and waited for the two individuals to arrive before her.

She stared blankly for a moment as she tried to interpret what the foreign man had said. When she did, she stood for brief moment wondering if the man was serious. He certainly looked it, so she said,

“Um, would you please follow me Lady Thilda and Prince Ealdrith.”

She then led the couple to waiting limousine and asked, “Will this suffice,” as she opened the door for Lady Thilda. “Oh, you may call me Eufrona,” said Eufrona annoyed that she had to give her first name to strangers and that she had forgotten to do so earlier. When and if they were all in the limousine Eufrona asked them, “So is there anyplace you would like to visit?” She then began to list off a number of popular tourist locations.

The personal jet of Helladria’s emperor prepared to touch down at the Ali-Zebu International Airport. Inside, the young leader was seated with his consort on his lap. They might be called a cute couple, and displayed a youthful infatuation that was evidenced by their passionate displays made without regard for the attending personnel. Having changed his hair color back to a more natural brown since the trip to New Edom, the emperor was dressed in his typical business attire. With a dark green solid print kilt that hung two inches above the ankle when seated and a matching waistcoat overtop of a white pleated shirt, Svenge intended to represent the dignity of the average Helladrian professional to the nation that was simultaneously Helladria’s closest ally and yet most intractable rival. Unlike her beau, the girl on the emperor’s lap was less concerned with dignity until she was reprimanded into wearing a more modest black dress, albeit one that was still more risqué than appropriate for polite Helladrian society. Her skirt began just below the knees, where a pair of slits traveled up the sides of her legs to the top of her thighs and her hips pressed against the smooth fabric. From her wide hips, it continued inwardly to accentuate the abdomen and again expanded outwardly to fit her unrepressed bosoms, and finished with two inadequately thin shoulder straps.

“Would you look at this?” Svenge said holding up a newspaper. “‘Emperor Svenge is slated to appear at the engagement ceremony of Princess Yesmin of the Ali-Zebu Union,’” he said with an intonation of inflated importance. As he continued, his exaggerated expressions gradually fell away as the reading became more mechanical. “’This marks the second state ceremony publicly attended by the Helladric Head of State in just two months. The first was a trip reportedly taken to the Allied States of New Edom before its recent civil unrest and hostage crisis in Raith Immel. Criticisms have been raised over the conduct of these recent visits due to a limited security contingent and an overbooking of the Emperor’s itinerary by the Imperial Guard.’ And look here, they posted my picture from when we were sitting in the stadium. Somebody always just has to have a camera. Well, I guess it won’t matter now if I leave this mask behind,” he said tossing something appropriate for a masquerade ball onto the adjacent seat.

“Hey, I’m sitting there,” his consort pouted.

“Well, Zynny,” he said turning his gaze back to his young consort, “now you have to stay here. No matter. I prefer it this way, regardless.”

“So do I,” she said giving her hips a little wiggle then turning for another kiss.

As the two lovebirds continued to ignore the call to turn off all electronic devices and fasten their seatbelts, the tailored airliner landed and taxied to an empty corner of the tarmac where a pair of vehicles awaited them. The first was the sedan belonging to Ambassador Rapthi, who made the trip to greet the emperor out of duty and the curiosity of never having seen him before. The other vehicle was one of the Helladric embassy’s SUVs and would be the emperor’s mode of transport for the trip.

The black, green, and silver plane slowed to a halt and a ground crew secured a set of airstairs against it. As the hatch opened the ambassador spied a short sharply dressed figure with gleaming metal exiting the doorway, who he figured was most likely the emperor. He walked up to the stairs hailing the figure as they walked down the stairs. “Emperor Svenge Barnet dår Valkyrjur, I’m Amassador Theophan Rapthi. It is an honor to meet you. Are you…” he trailed off realizing that there was no way this was a twelve year old kid or even a teenager.

“Ambassador, the emperor is behind me,” the Bessarian woman said almost drowned out by the ambient noise and the sound of the plane’s idling engines. “I’m ohr security guard.”

The ambassador flushed at his misstep and peered up the airstairs to see a short tanned adolescent in a simple business suit holding a four foot Dane axe and guiding his underdressed companion out of the plane and down the stairs, where the ambassador made his second attempt to introduce himself. “Monomme Emperor?” he inquired cutting himself off as he waited for a response.

“Yes?” Svenge casually responded.

“I’m Ambassador Theophan Rapthi. It is my honor to meet you and welcome you to the Ali-Zebu Union. If you will follow me,” he said gesturing to the waiting SUV, “we have a vehicle ready and the Ali-Zebu have sent a guide and translator who will be able to assist you during your stay.”

“Well, isn’t that nice of them?” he said turning to Rebecca.

“It’s customary,” she responded flatly.

Ignoring his surly companion, Svenge advanced to the vehicle and introduced himself to the guide. He bowed respectfully, perhaps more than appropriate even for someone of equal stature and spoke holding his large axe pressed against his chest. “Salutations, monomme. My name is Svenge, and this lovely omme is my companion Rebecca. It is a pleasure for us to visit your country to pay our complements to the lucky Princess and ohr fiancée.”

Princess Saxon Shalmaneser, Ambassador to the Ali-Zebu Union, was in love. She was not in love with a person but with a place of grace, beauty, thoughtfulness and wisdom--the nation she had come to. She felt wistful every time she was anywhere in the Assembly of Sovereign Nations region--what sophistication, grace and nobility. There were bad apples like Mallarctaia but otherwise--the loved listening to the music, seeing the artwork, listening to the conversation between women. They were so kind, warm and accepting that she enjoyed every public function, every debate. She had begun exploring local fashions out of curiosity. One of the things that fascinated her was that a woman's bosom was not an object of desire per se in the Union, it was an expression of the power of life. What a beautiful thought! And so she was greatly looking forward to the wedding--if only her people would become a little more civilized by the Union, by Helladria, by other such nations. In the midst of this arrived Colonel Perrin Pahath-Moab as New Edom's official representative to the wedding. There was a lot going on apparently if they sent him, but then she realized to her fury that it was simply that King David and President Touchstone were uncomfortable with the lesbian wedding. The government of Ali-Zebu had no problem sending their head of government to talk about a hostage crisis in New Edom which was, lets face it, due to negligence towards the Elwe question--but God forbid that they should support a same sex marriage. She felt deeply frustrated by this, and had begun writing a note to Sif Finnhald about it when the Colonel was announced. She couldn't believe that they had sent him. On top of that he arrived with that stupid dog that Prince James gave him in exchange for him winning a squash match against her decadent lecherous cousin. Men.

Rover, the dog, rushed in, barking happily. He had no idea of what was going on, he just thought it was great. Colonel Pahath-Moab came in with his energy bursting from him like the sun, and fell to his knees. "God in Heaven, your beauty is shocking! I didn't remember how stunning you were, Princess Saxon--"

"Get up, you idiot!" she snapped, her face growing hot. "You can't behave here like that. You have to be modest and quiet..."

"Nonsense." said Perrin, leaping to his feet to the delight of Rover, who began to run around him in circles. "Rover! Halt! Stand at ease!" The dog stopped and sat down, muttering. "Good boy. Seriously, I'm looking forward to this wedding. It should be very interesting. And I've brought gifts for the happy couple. I am wondering if the dear old Gebrovics will attend. I always liked them."

"I haven't been informed yet," said Saxon, sitting back down behind her desk, "But I assume since it is their daughter's wedding and Boris gave a public endorsement in front of everyone that yes, they will support it. Why shouldn't they? Love is rare."

"I have a mission, which is to go to Kebab King, and I'm going to do it. I invite you out, dear Princess, you look tired and overworked. Come! To Kebab King!" Perrin said expansively.

Saxon sighed. Her cousin was so immature and embarassing. The only way to deal with him was to give in to his more harmless impulses. He had always been like this--and in fact really their cousinhood was a rather distant thing--they were related from some time back in the 17th century or something, but all New Edomite aristocrats of Baran birth called one another 'cousin'--the mentioning of blood ties, however distant, kept you from killing one another too casually.

One of the nice things about being in Ali-Zebu was how safe it was. They just had a single CP officer trailing them, while Rover, leashed now, padded along with them, sniffing at people and barking occasionally. Perrin smiled and looked around at everything he saw with interest. Then Saxon paused. "Perrin, how did you get here? Didn't you go through the airport?"

"I got permission to land at a small military airport in my Osprey," he boasted, "What fun. Look, there's the Kebab King..."

Toda Nobuo stood in front of the mirror in his hotel room trimming his thick, luxurious beard. First, his daughter had gone to study overseas in New Edom and now the prime minister had asked him to act as a translator for the Helladrian Emperor. If only his grandfather were alive to see all of this. He might have and said something like “At least you didn’t have to flee your home as the Zoltabi shelled your homes with chlorine. Suck it up boy.”

He finished trimming his beard and then proceeded to put on well pressed black suit. He still wondered why the prime minister had chosen him to work with the emperor. They had only met once and that was years ago. Sure, he was fluent in over a dozen languages, but he had become a highschool teacher to avoid dealing with such official business. A sigh escaped his lips.

As Nobuo drove to meet the Helladrian Emperor he wished his wife could have come along, but the studio was going through a busy season and needed all their seiyu close at hand. He supposed it was better that things had worked out as they had. At least he did not have to burden he or his wife’s parents with watching his son.

Nobuo stepped out of the car and waited for the Helladrian Emperor. When what looked like a young child introduced himself, he was surprised. He had been expecting man in some ceremonial military uniform, not a boy in a suit. He returned the emperor’s bow with one of his own and addressed him.

“It is an honor to meet you Emperor Svenge. I am your humble guide and if needed, translator for your stay in Ali-Zebu. If there is anywhere you wish to go, I will let your driver know and you shall be taken there.”

Nobuo then opened the door for the emperor and his companion and closed the door behind them. He then entered the vehicle an sat in the front passenger’s seat and waited for the emperor to give his directions. Nobuo was very eager to return home to the SAR, but that would have to wait for a little while longer.

King Menashe II was in a medium mood, most of his visits to to other nations he had remained completely monotone unless of course he needed to defend something he wholeheartedly believed in like Menassa's Slavery and Justice system. This time his mood was yet to be the same, he had arrived at the Harbor with his large Yacht at the harbor and now he just waited to be directed to the place of gathering unless their was no direction which he highly doubted. The King was wearing his white tunic, a golden belt, his golden crown, purple leggings,a golden belt, his golden crown, and along purple robe of course like always he had his Phylacteries on and a small scroll strapped to his right arm covered by the robe. At his waist attached to the hilt was a ceremonial sword of Shaul the first iron sword ever used by the Israelite army so long ago.

At the king's side was a small girl the age of seven years in a pink gown with a small white crown on her head. Her black hair flowed down to just past her shoulders and her bright blue eyes sparkled in the light. Her hand was adorned with many rings which she had collected from the Canaanite Kings in the surrounding lands. None of these of course were rings of marriage for she was to young for such an event but now she would get a little taste of how outside of Menassa marriage ceremonies worked.

"I got permission to land at a small military airport in my Osprey," he boasted, "What fun. Look, there's the Kebab King..."

As Saxon, Perrin, and Rover left the embassy and walked toward the Kebab Queen the saw various crowds of people walking in every direction. As they approached a subway station a group of six highschool girls exited while chatting, laughing, and snapping pictures with their cell phones. They were short and tall, fair to dark skinned, and had a wide mix of eye colors. An example of the diversity that could found throughout the nation

The trio passed a ebon haired and dark skinned woman sitting in front of an old house playing a sitar. The notes danced through the air as her fingers plucked the strings of the instrument with practiced grace. A larger crowd had gathered around the woman and tourists from Nagama stood snapping photos as the woman performed.

As they continued to walk a they saw woman walking a black and tan saluki as she talked to someone over a headset that rested over her ear. The other dog gave a quick sniff of Rover as she and her owner walked by. They then passed a small temple of white stone with an arched and recessed doorway and deep red pendentive dome covering the top of the structure.

As they drew near the Kebab Queen the saw a teenage girl with blonde hair and dressed in a painfully colorful imitation of royal clothing and wearing a plastic crown handing out coupons for free soft drinks. She smiled and bounced around the front of the restaurant as if her job was the best thing in the world. She bounced over to Saxon as they approached and handed her a couple of coupons. The restaurant itself was more the size of fast food restaurant and was painted a pleasant lilac. A large sign stood outside the building and displayed a crown with the words “Kebab Queen” placed inside.

The smell of cooking lamb, beef, pork, and chicken wafted out of the restaurant as they girls they had seen earlier opened the door to the restaurant. When they decided to enter Kebab Queen they would have seen a bored looking teenage girl with darker skin, black hair and wearing a purple uniform standing behind a cash register. She would welcome the guests with a distinct lack of enthusiasm.

“Welcom to Kebab Queen. What can I get for you today?”

A menu behind her displayed items such as Shish Kebabs, Kalmi Kebabs, and something that closely resembled a Döner Kebab. Soft drinks such as Doctor Cardamon (which did not taste like cardamon at all) and beer such as Amarov Lager were also listed. Sides such as a mint or garlic yoghurt sauce and a selection of fresh baked breads rounded out things out.

“I’ll see you at the ceremony then,” Svenge said to the ambassador who had only just met someone who was told in popular fiction as being the parental figure of the nation for which he and both his parents had fought for decades. Switching places, Rebecca extended her hand to help the emperor climb into the vehicle. “Tacke,” he said quickly accepting the impractical gesture. He switched his axe arm and took her hand, which effortlessly elevated him into the SUV. He then turned and pulled her up with him. Next the emperor’s lone security guard, Gunda Eklund who was easy to miss excepting for her stature of 6’2” silently stepped into the vehicle. Her long, braided auburn hair hung half way down her back and she met Nabuo’s gaze briefly with her own intense blue-eyed stare before continuing on. For one in the know, she would almost certainly be svartic and a pin over her left breast indicated that she had fought for the Helladrians in the north and received a commendation for her service. She eschewed a uniform in favor of a calf-length dress that allowed movement but would be insufficiently thick for the cold in Svarbald. Despite her light formal wear and toned, fit physique, the climate was still a bit much for her and she felt as though if she stood out there much longer, she would begin perspiring.

When the group had loaded into the vehicle, Svenge spoke to Nabuo. “I’m sorry, monomme. What did you say your name was? I don’t suppose you have any rugger matches at the Star Stadium today?”

The Aochi man politely responded to Emperor Svenge.

“You may call me Toda or if you are more comfortable with using given names, then Nobuo. I regret to inform you that there is no rugby match today Emperor Svenge, but there is a match between the Typhoons and the Hormuzan Destroyers in an hour. The two squads have an intense rivalry and the match should be an exiting one.”

Nobuo got the impression that the emperor was more mature and polite than most children of his age but also that he still possessed some of the standard childlike qualities of individuals his age. He was not sure what to make of the relationship shared by the emperor and his companion, Rebecca, having only just met them. The emperor’s bodyguard was certainly an imposing woman and he aimed to stay on her good side. He then turned his eyes, which unlike the rest of his family were brown, toward the emperor and waited.

"Alright then," Svenge said. "I am guessing you might be from Ichi-Holt. Should I call you Toda-san?"

He wasn't really sure if Toda Nobuo was from the semi-autonomous region, but it seemed the most likely place given how familiar he must have been with Ali-Zebu to be assigned to guide a foreign dignitary. If he wasn't from Ichi-Holt, his family might have been. It was a strange little metropolis, through which Helladrians were first exposed to the Ichi and Aochi people. Svenge still couldn't really tell the difference between the two groups which had so many geographic, cultural, and physical similarities. He was tempted to see what Nobuo's background was, but decided not to venture too far out on a limb due to curiosity.

"It's a shame about the rugger. I've always had an inclination to see how the women of Ali-Zebu play it. Perhaps we should visit the Royal Museum, then."

"Ah well then if it does not disturb the bride and groom we would look to stay at the palace eh Chaiya?" King Menashe asked his daughter and she replied with a nod.

King Menashe got in the car with his daughter and looked at Ashtora trying to read her facial expressions to see if they had trained her to not mess up.

"Well can you tell me a little about your nation?" King Menashe asked.

“ I doubt the happy couple would be bothered by your presence. The palace is a big place and they are very likely somewhere else in the city preparing for the upcoming ceremony.”

When everyone was in the car, Ashtora pointed out where the refreshments were held and responded to King Menashe in a pleasant manner.

“The nation was born around the year 300 of our calendar, or 700 BC if you use the Gregorian calendar, when the two city states of Ali and Zebu became a single nation. The predominant faith of the nation is Jezrahlism which was founded in the year 0, or 1000 BC, by the Prophet Jezrah. Since prehistoric times the cultures of the region have followed a matriarchal pattern which will become very evident if it has not already.”

Ashtora then pulled out a small glass and a bottle of pálinka. After she poured herself a glass she left the bottle out, just in case.

“Today, the nation is an ethnically diverse place with over 200 ethnicities residing within its borders. The government is a constitutional monarchy and despite the royal family’s lack of political power, they often act as envoys to other nations. The sea has long played an important part in our culture and as such there is much pride in any seaborne activity. A prime example of this would be what most people consider the national sport. Surfing.”

She took a drink.

“If there is more that you wish to now, I will be happy to tell you.”

“ I am from Ichi-Holt Emperor and Toda-san will work fine.”

The emperor seemed well mannered enough, which was more than he could say about his own son. He told the driver to head to the museum, if the emperor had not done so already.

“If you wish to see rugby matches, you will have to wait a couple of months and I am sure you will be able to catch one. I do not suppose you have visited the Royal Museum before? If not, I am sure you will enjoy it.”

The car’s engine started...

A larger crowd had gathered around the woman and tourists from Nagama stood snapping photos as the woman performed.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7B33dGlSH0o

The two New Edomites and their little entourage stopped to listen to the music and watched the performance, which was exotic and pleasant to them. It vaguely reminded them of Haranese music but was nevertheless rather different. Perrin bowed gallantly when they were done listening.

Perrin smiled at the girl warmly. "Thank you for the welcome! I shall I have shish kebab, garlic yoghurt sauce on the side and a Doctor Cardamon to drink, please...and you, cuz?"

"Same," said Saxon. She smiled at the girl as well. Rover sniffed around and Perrin curtly ordered him to stay. As they were paying Perrin asked, "My dear, what is that temple that lies nearby here? Can anyone go and worship or observe there?"

"Oh, very good," Svenge said. "Is it a very nice city? I hear it has quite a vibrant Helladrian community over there."

He didn't want to wait another couple of months for the proper rugby season, and he wasn't really much of a sports buff to boot. More than likely he wouldn't even remember why he was interested by then. "Pity I'm not here more often. Well, there's always next time, I guess," he said with a completely expressionless face.

"Hmm. The Royal Museum." Svenge sat with a scowl. "I don't seem to recall. You don't remember do you, Rebecca?" he turned asking the girl sitting next to him who was idly tracing a finger tip along his thigh. "Sorry," she said. "I don't keep track of those things."

"Yes, monomme," Gunda said from the back seat.

"Oh. It's you, Gunda. I almost forgot you were back there."

"It was in 1973. You said you liked it."

"Well, there you go. I've been. And I liked it," he said with a nod and self-satisfied smile.

"So then this nation is monotheistic?" King Menashe asked stroking his long brown beard.

Princess Cahyia looked about the car trying to notice anything important or for the love of god anything familiar. The child wasn't interested in coming to a place she had never been and having to be an 'example' of a model person that the world should see as.

New Edom

If the girl behind the counter had been less bored and more focused she might have been off-put by Perrin’s outgoing nature. As it was, she answered with the same enthusiasm she had put into her earlier greeting.

“That is a Temple of Wind and Flame and anyone is welcome inside. May I get you anything else?”

The highschool girls thought that little Rover was a cute little dog and snapped photos of him with their phones. A door opened not far from the front counter and someone who was likely a manager walked toward Saxon and Perrin.

She was a tall red headed woman with her hair tied into a ponytail. She wore the same purple shirt and black pants as the girl behind the counter. Her chest though, was just slightly more pronounced. She addressed Saxon and Perrin, making sure to sound friendly.

“Please excuse me, but if you want to have the dog with you, I must ask you to eat on the patio.”

Perrin couldn't help but wonder if breast size went with rank in Ali-Zebu Union. He decided to ask someone but not at this precise moment. "Thank you for advising me, but my dog is a member of the New Edomite Army and must always be with me." he replied. "What is a Temple of Flame and Wind?"

Saxon wanted to facepalm and said with a smile, "I'm sorry, my cousin is new to your country," and is a raving lunatic "And we will be happy to move to the patio--I am Saxon Shalmaneser, the New Edomite Ambassador--if you're not too busy, would you care to join us for a short time? My cousin is very interested in your city and so am I..." she got up, forcing Perrin to do likewise. He wouldn't be rude on purpose, he just didn't see why he shouldn't be able to do whatever he wanted to. Perrin got up in a relaxed manner; it was unthinkable to sit in the presence of a superior who had stood up.

Menassa

"So then this nation is monotheistic?" King Menashe asked stroking his long brown beard.

Ashtora nodded and replied.

“You are correct King Menashe. The reverence of Azmara replaced the earlier polytheistic faiths.”

She then noticed Princess Chaiya looking around the interior of the car. She smiled and spoke to the young girl.

“Are you sure that there is nothing I can do to make you more comfortable Princess Chaiya? Please don’t be afraid to ask. I won’t bite.”

Postby Riemaia » Tue Oct 18, 2011 11:58 pm

Arriving fashionably late, the trio of Riemaian royals exited their zeppelin and finally found themselves as the first people of Riemaian blood to ever set foot in Ali-Zebu. First off the plane was the Archduchess of Lamilaria, Anisette Gi Aluris, the fifth cousin of Empress Claire. She was in her early fifties, tall yet skinny, and was still quite fit for her age. Her auburn hair only went down to her shoulders, though it was as straight and lustrous as as it could possibly be. She was wearing her usual attire, a white blouse, blue dress skirt, and a blue vest with silver buttons.

Second was the Princess of the six million person nation of Lemaglyph, Milly Aluris-Maiane, also known as Princess Lemaglyph VIII. She was the ruler of Lemaglyph at the age of only fourteen, and also the niece of Empress Claire and the first cousin of Anneli. She was tall for her age, at a height of 171 centimeters. Her hair was a bright platinum blonde, and her eyes an enchanting sea of green. Since she had ditched going to school at the last moment to go to Ali-Zebu, she was wearing her blue school uniform with it's black shoes. (Think stereotypical Japanese uniform)

Finally was Princess Anneli, the newly declared winner of the 2011 Riemaian Beauty Pageant and 2nd daughter of Empress Claire. She was wearing a customary green Riemaian dress with a black trim, the dress itself covered most of her body save for the arms, which were covered up by a blouse she was wearing under it.

"So this is Ali-Zebu, Yesmin told me so much about it back in New Edom... I hope she wasn't lying to me." Anneli said as she walked off to the main building of the airport with Milly and Anisette following closely behind. As the trio walked into the building Anneli came do a dead stop, looking around the area for any specific signs. "So, any ideas on where to go from here? I don't know if anyone was going to be meeting us here."
