Yeah, but Iestyn's about to deviate from the script. It's likely that Dylan will have to pull him (and James) back before everything is resolved, and he might not have enough power to retrieve the clone of Crystalline without endangering himself. Iestyn, to his credit, probably doesn't know any better - he's not out to cause problems, but he's damnably impulsive.

Apologies all around. First my boyfriend was sick with the flu - since recovered, thankfully. Then it was the GRE general test. Then came Halloween, and now on Saturday is the GRE subject test. Fun times, truly.

I think we're on track to finish this. What I was thinking of was that James and Iestyn would be pulled back to the present by Dylan, but the clone of Crystalline would be trapped for [X] years in the past. Dylan and others would pull her back to the same "present", but she would have been in past Krioval for those [X] years. Then the time shockwave comes and goes, things change a bit, and then diplomatic business is attended to (finally!).

Crystalline can recall her clone easily over long distances, but whether she can do so over time, I'm not sure.

LOL If I had had Xa available this whole mess might have been averted - they know full well time is just another form of distance - and they've been meddeling with time for several billion years now.

I had the flue to- two days after the flu shot there I was with 103 fever and every other symptom of the little blighter

At one time, I would have RSVPed on that, but with James being an outlaw now, it'd be sort of silly. I may join in with Richard, the new Prez.

James was the diplomatic one. Richard Makner is a very flimsy President that sends intrusive and typically violent people to do his dirty work. In the long run, he is actually a more destructive President, not that the people want to admit it. They just like the change of pace from bureaucracy and corporate scum to a slightly more upbeat lifestyle.

Thus, while Newburn sends his Negotiators to handle these things, Makner sends his Battle Advisors.

Eh. It's the sort of short-sighted planning by the new president that could potentially provoke a diplomatic incident. It's not usually appropriate to make an extraterritorial arrest of the guest of the governor of a planet, at least in Krioval. That said, an almost-war could be fun to RP in another thread, though given my posting rate, it'd be one of the slowest diplomatic incidents to unfold.

How the hell did Dropley get on planet in the first place -

It is generally considered proper RPing to post such arrivals- NOT just have then suddenly butt in on private, governement / diplomatic property where there is surely such notions as Security!

Sorry, but poorly done!

( yes the GM had people show up out of 'no where' but that is the GM's perogative and he had an excuse / reason behind Valkai just appearing ) - every one else was already on planet and had a reason for going to the site.

Your character had no idea where on planet your nations ex president even was...
