Urgent request for information

A message to all foreign governments:

With the upcoming threat of undead hordes across the universe, the British Empire is declaring that it too is seeing people who should be dead moving for up to hours after 'death', with scientists and citizens alike noting that those afflicted seem to have violent tendencies.
As a result, the British Government is asking for anyone with information regarding cure research for this affliction, and also information regarding weaponry that can be used against undead citizens. The primary question asked by HM King George VII is:
Within my region of puppets owned by me colonies, if I set all individual colonial governments to work on exterminating zombies, would I be successful in exterminating zombies in my local region entirely?




(Note there are only 6 nations in my region because it's puppet storage, so I can set them all to exterminating zombies very quickly)

Historically, extermination has worked best in conjunction with curing. While exterminating will reduce the number of infected more quickly than curing, getting the last few percentages can often prove quite a chore, as regional infection rates (the number of infected that reach your nation each hour) will take longer to reach zero. It has often been seen that exterminating nations without support will kill their infected, only for more to arrive and need to be killed, until nearly everyone is dead.
