I believe I understand your point. It might be interesting if they imposed "reality" onto the question of how to deal with Them, but we are still talking about "reality" and Them in the same sentence. How would we judge this all, anyway? We do not even know if they are fast-Them or slow-Them; we do not know if it is an infection, parasite, a curse, or whatever else you can think of.
The whole thing is just a little bit of fun. Really, it is kind of hard to take Them seriously.
